I never knew anything about this but it might have something scientific towards this. I remember waking up one morning, well not really after waking up but when i was taking a shower i noticed a big bruise on my knee and had no idea when and where i got it from.

I get bruises all the time, but that is due to the fact that I am a violent sleeper. I kick a lot in my sleep and even after moving my bed to the middle of the room, I still manage to hurt my ankle in my sleep. I never notice until the next day when my ankle is sore (it doesn't hurt on some days even if I was kicking at night - I know because my family can hear me).

A spirit trying to hurt you? That is a creepy thought.

One time I was staying at a hotel with my family and we were sharing two joined rooms. There was a really creepy painting in the room that us kids were supposed to sleep in so I refused and slept on the pull-out couch. (It was a really nice room with mini-kitchen and living room.) So I did and I woke up the next morning and there's this deep scratch running up the back of my leg that's about 3-4 inches long like someone had ran a knife along my leg. I have no idea how it happened and I still have the scar. It scared the crap out of me and I'm pretty sure it had something to do with that darned painting. I had to have my step-dad take it off the wall and put it in the closet so I'm pretty sure that kinda pissed it off.

unexplained bruises can mean leukemia or it can also mean that you were a little too rough on yourself when you were asleep

Maybe you do sleepwalk and don't know about this.
You do something to yourself during sleepwalk.
My cosin is a sleepwalker and she hit herself or fall down and in the morning she can't remember anything.

my mom told me that if you wake up with bruises and it doesn't hurt....it means that a ghost or spirits had pinch you..Its soo weird though...cuz my cousin always had that bruise on her left leg and sometimes it seem like it gets better but somedays it looks wrost.....

I don't think so. I was always under the impression that malicious spirits are able to hurt people through moving other objects but they can't actually...touch you? If you wake up with bruises on your arms, I'm more inclined towards the "violent sleeper" theory. Are you anxious or stressed out lately? Maybe your arms were itchy during the night and you scratched them (then knocked them on something).

I have woken up with mysterious bruises but I always attribute them to my clumsiness during the day. I don't think spirits are after you, by the way.

you sure you didn't bump into anything the night before? usually bruises take time to show. don't always think its spirtis, look for logical explanations.
smile pretty pwincess
dont wrry your not the only one! i sometimes wake up with bruises and cuts as well! i asked my mum all the time, but she would say that you pros cut your self when your sleeping but my brother would tell me that its spirits that cut you!

but if you didn't do anything bad you dnt needa worrya bout anything! they wouldn't' hurt you if you didn't do anything to them!!

I don't know if it's a real medical case, but I heard there's a situation in which you can injure yourself while you're sleeping. It can be an internal thing, but I doubt it. I'm sure a lot of people scratch themselves when they're dreaming or sleeping, especially if they're a deep sleeper.

It's called night terrors. It's similar to nightmares, except it's acted out more, either by sudden screaming or violent thrashing. According to my parents and sister, I used to scream sometimes in my sleep. And then when they'd wake me up, I wouldn't be aware of any of it. To me, it was like they just woke me up for no reason.
