I so want him to be paired up with Tavia, but it looks like theres going to be a love triangle with Tav+Chi+Myo Chilam is happening to be having a duet with Myolie for his new album and now they are going to be in the same series, coincidence or what?

I love Chilam! I like Tavia, but as for me? Even if a fan of her, I'm not looking forward to this series. I was hoping for Charmaine and Chilam. Hopefully Charm can be in this but it seems like she will film HAE I was kind of looking forward to Chilam pairing up with older gen actresses like Kenix, Maggie, etc. Sigh...

Sigh...I wish it was Charmaine being paired up with Chi Lam. I seen him with other actresses like Gigi Lai, Tavia, Annie Man and etc but they don't have the strong spark that he has with Charmaine. Wishful thinking!!

TVB is really promoting Tavia big time, series after series. I guess she benefited because her acting has matured and other young fadans have other commitments. Kate has movie & record deals, Bernice is just making her comeback, Linda has singing commitments and Myolie is lacking the charisma the audience wants. Good for Tavia, she has to take this opportunity with her bestest.

I feel bad for Myolie, she just can't win. Hopefully this role will finally win the audiences' back.

i think myolie has a higher chance of gettin the lead role, since i guess she's tvb's fadan now, but i like tavia better!!! but aslong as chilam is in it i'll watch it no matter what

i was kinda hoping selena li cast in this series, since chilam also mention that he like to working with her and patrick, should kick myolie out and have tavia and chilam as first lead couple and selena and patrick as 2nd lead couple

I hope they remove Myolie from this. Not a fan of hers at all. I just hate her exaggerated acting. It will ruin Chilam's acting and the entire series lol. And if Myolie is the lead, i hope Tavia doesn't accept this series cause I'd rather see her as the lead rather than a supporting actress. Looking forward to Chilam's performance though =)

I personally think lead or not is not a big matter. I just hope this is not a plain draggy romance drama, but I doubt so. With love triangle, filming in japan and during winter.. I can't think of anything else beside a pure romance drama

I'm not really expecting much from this series to be honest. Well, I know I don't know the storyline yet, but I'm just not too interested. So I'm just gonna pray hard that Myolie
will not get those clumsy, annoying roles... again =.=

I'm not liking the idea of 2 girl-1 guy triangle relationship in this series. So I hope Tavia can pull out from this series. I think the chance of Myolie pulling out is low since she is the one who confirmed about the series anyway. Anyway, I just don't hope to see Tavia in another series where she has to fight for the guy with another lady, like in BBOL, MR and BTROC. It will be worse if this series is concentrated on romance, which like soffiagiang said, it sounds pretty much so with the triangle+Japan. So if everything is confirmed, I hope the series will have a much more interesting storyline than pure romance.

I know Chilam can be quite picky when it comes to script, and it gives the impression that what he chooses will be good. But to be honest, I don't think Shades of Truth is all that great. I probably wouldn't have finished the series if not for the artistes.

i visited his thread and blog during that time when he couldnt do the other series and his manager stated a schedule clash; there were preparations for him to compete and make cross regional appearances for some highly coveted award and stage shows. it just wasn't a convenient time for him to film since a tv series for tvb might stipulate he cant have outside commitment during the filming months. not saying that he cant be picky but he doesnt really get to read the script until filming starts since they just write/hand it along as they go. im thinking for the two series, the one he didnt do and the one he will be doing soon, tvb just briefs it for him and tell him the role is tailored for him; they are just that way.

like someone else here said, judging by the location and sounds, not much different from Stars of Love, it might just be another romance series. i frankly dont think he cares all that much whether it is or isnt, he probably just think of it a fulfilling whats left of his episodes for tvb. just my thoughts. he doesnt seem like somebody that makes a fuss, given his status, the ppl at tvb know not to give him less than challenging/interesting characters to do anyway.

I think he is doing this series not only for his commitment to TVB but more importantly, his commitment to Neway Star, the music company that he and Myolie signed with, and they also had a duet together. So Neway and TVB probably collaborate to promote the song and the artistes together. In this case, most likely Myolie will be the first lead and Chilam and Myolie will end up together, or at least Chilam would probably love Myolie only or more. We need another lead actor if Tavia is taking this role.

I don't think they're pairing Myolie and Chilam to promote their duet. This drama haven't even started to film, and even not 100% confirmed about the cast, while the duet should be out within 2 months. It would make sense if the drama is about to air soon, like the Vinolie duet and WOIL II.

ya know i've been waited so long for his return. i just want him to have a successful return so that he'll stay for a little longer. i don't care who is taking the lead as long as the series is good

Does anybody know if Tavia ever did mention if she will film this drama or anything about this drama at all? Because all I know is Myolie only gave few 'tips' about this series to a fan on 'Beauty' set, she said that the other female lead is the same age as her and they haven't filmed an drama together for 5+ years, so I don't think the cast is confirmed at all. However, Tavia is the only one actress I can find who 'fits' Myolie's tips.

Bernice was in "When a Dog Loves a Cat". There's no one else to think of. Tavia hasn't been in the same series as Myolie since "Eternal Happiness" and they're both the same age.

now that you mentioned it, i havent seen myolie and tavia in a drama together since EH, so it would be nice to see them in the same series, though i still wish they add Kenix to this. I really want to see Tavia and Kenix act as sisters. They're my favorite TVB actresses.

Just to clarify, I think Myo told the fan whom the other female lead was. It's the fan who came out with the tips to let other Myo fans guess the identity.

And just for clarification, yuki9066 said that Myolie's role will not be so good, materialistic, etc, but in the first post, it is said that Myolie's role will be an evil role. A not so good character and an evil role are two different things. While the first will have a lot of flaws as human, they can usually be a very interesting main main character while TVB will never allow an evil role as the main main character. So which one is Myolie's role?



I know this doesn't matter anymore, but just to clarify, Bernice is one year older than both Myolie and Tavia.
