Boys Over Flower Acting Debut: In 2009, Leader Kim Hyun Joong appeared in the highly anticipated Korean remake of popular Japanese Manga, "Hana Yori Dango". Sub Unit Formation: In late 2008, three of the five members formed a sub unit initially called Triple S, after their official fan club. The group debuted with the mini album entitled U R Man on November 27. 2008. Their title song, U R Man went on to win the YTN Seoul Music Awards (Hallyusang + Bonsang) making them the male first group to win an award in the year 2009 for best song.

Stage Debut: Member Park Jung Min debuted in the musical Grease as the leading character Danny. Grease follows the love story of Danny and Sandy, two different students who come together despite their families' objection. Jung Min was even nominated for his role as Danny earlier this year.

Mentioning about Kim Kyu Jong, yeah..the first time i saw SS501 pic was 3 years ago when i'm searching a pic through google for my school project, it never stated as SS501, but it was written something else, so upon seeing it, i took a closer look and of course i have no any idea who they was, but particularly i spotted this innocent looking guy and i thought wow he was so cute..and now that i have know them, it was Kyu Jong oppa..yeah he was the first guy to catch my attention before i start to admire Hyun Joong oppa in BOF. But now, i have to say that i really into Kyu Jong oppa more than Hyun Joong oppa, but still i love all of them in SS501, but my 3 favorites members are the 3 Kims, but still i prefer Kyu Jong oppa more as of now..

well SS as a group is actually really closet o DBSK. Yuhno oppa really likes Kyu oppa. whenever they meet backstage Yuhno oppa becomes really excited and starts to chant kyu oppa's name
as for Jungmin oppa most of his friends are not idols.. he says that he has rich friends which is true but non idols. Besides the SS boys he doesnt have one particular Idol that he is really close with. Kyu oppa is really good friends with Hyori unni as show in Happy Share company. he still visits her to this day it was just for some show
Joon oppa and Joong oppa too... are both really close to Brian oppa from Fly to the Sky. yes no really an idol anymore but hey he is still well known right. They say that Brian oppa always take them out and just really takes good care of them. back then when SS just came out Brian oppa helped promote them alot so JoonJoong were always with him.

im a newbie on ss501's music all because of kim hyun joong =) recently finished BOF and fell in love with him hahaha.
i used to share an account with my friend,been busy at t-entertainment for quite some time haha. but i realized want to share some insights here at ss501's thread. so decided to make one.

BOF is currently airing here in our country and the host of an entertainment show here have announced that they are coming, probably around 8-10weeks, not really emphasizing as to "who" are coming. but im crossing my fingers that KHJ will come here. im just worried because i read somewhere that they will release their korean album around july. and i also read somewhere that LMH,KB and KHS are the one's that are coming here. oh well, ill just have to wait for announcements right? =)

actually when i saw the video of ss501 around last year, it was HJbaby that struck me first haha. but when i watched BOF, i totally fell in love with HJleader. and u are right soohee_chul, it was when i watched WGM that i love him more because i think that it is his true personality thats behind those every scene with HB. HJleader fighting! haha.
my fave songs are deja vu and ASCFR. thank God they always perform it right? i love their Korean songs.

Right now I'm watching SS501 in Idol World for Mnet and I'm really enjoying the show, love the challenges.. Anyway I've read from the news that they will have a fan meeting in Taiwan this June and they are part of the Dream Concert in Korea this October... I'm looking forward for the Dream Concert because I'm planning to watch it... Would you know how can i get tickets for the concert coz I'm not from Korea... Well saeng in Suju before..actually he's the 11 members in SuJu and the lead vocal..Saeng is a good singer btw.Then SM added wookie so it officially Suju have 12 members..but what make me pissed off cause they kicked off Saeng and wanted Wookie for a lead vocal..cause they just want one of them as as lead vocal so Saeng was pushed out
I admit that Wookie have a great voice..but Saeng also the same level as him..so i wonder why they did like that to Saeng..it unfair u know.

Honestly i dont think he should get a lead in a drama... yet. i mean im glad he is excited and has a chance to do a project but realistically he has no experiences in acting so it would be kinda awkward for him to act.
Even Joong oppa... he was really stiff and a noob in acting in BOF which made things bad cuz he was one of the lead so he was always there. i was kinda dissappointed that they gave him such a huge role and its his first real drama.
His acting was really raw to me... yes call me a hater but i didnt like it so much. as much as i love Joong oppa his acting was not so good.
so i think that would happen to Joon oppa too so w.e he has plans i hope its a minor role. because its really not fair that he is pushed that high when his acting is not that impressive.

Hi guys just wanna post this one for those who weren't able to read the news. I'm really excited to watch Joon oppa's short tv series which consists of 2 episodes. I'm not sure but I've read also that he started filming this series just last April, but there's no title yet. I'm curious of the transformation that'll be made to Baby Joon. Just imagine how will the Baby of SS501 be transformed into a rebellious guy, knowing his soft features.. haha That would be a big challenge for him. Let's cheer for Baby Joon!

Hi! Waves Back! I first saw KHJ in BOF but I fell in love with him in WGM. Jihoo as a character is too perfect. KHJ is so good looking and very versatile, he can act, sing and dance as well (great dancer indeed). KHJ is definitely more lovable in WGM, seeing all his imperfections there. After seeing WGM I started to listen to SS501's song, eventually i watched their other reality shows (so hilarious indeed, can't help but to laugh) and then I fell in love to all of them.. And now I'm a new fan of SS501. I love their song/MV "A Song Calling You", they're all so cute there. Hooray for SS501.

Male group SS501 will be flying to Hawaii, USA on 30th to attend an event and through their various overseas activities recently, they leaped one more step towards becoming a world star.

SS501 will depart to Hawaii, USA on 30th to attend an event, and will stay for about 1 week where they would also hold events such as fan meeting and promotional activities. Thereafter, they will also have other overseas schedules in Japan, Thailand, HongKong, Taiwan.

The reason for their visit to HongKong and Taiwan in end July is to promote their Hong Kong and Taiwan concert planned to be held in September and October. In addition to them releasing their official 2nd album in Japan recently, they will be doing their Japan activities along side.

SS501 representative said on 29th “With the release of their album in Japan, they should be doing their promotional activities in Japan. However, with requests for promotional activities in other overseas countries, it is inevitable that they will have their activities in various other countries.”

With that, it is expected that SS501 members will be busy traveling between Korea and other countries. Especially Kim HyungJoon, who is currently a DJ for ‘SS501’s Music High’ at SBS radio PowerFM 107.7Mhz, would be forced to travel between Korea and various other countries.

SS501 will be doing both their group and individual activities along side.

Pictures of SS501 filming for a yet unnamed MNet mini drama / MV has been leaked on the internet.

There isn't too much information on it except for the fact that it's supposed to be a 20 minute MV mini drama for the solo special album (where the members will each record a solo song). Supposedly Kim Hyung Joong, Kim Kyu Jong, and Park Jung Min are all stuck in a love triangle with a woman and it looks like they're playing with guns trying to take each other out.
