TVB General Manager Stephen Chan publicly announced that 'Beyond the Realm of Conscience' and 'Born Rich' will be 2009's TVB anniversary series. He also announced that TVB Awards Ceremony may be postponed till December to give fair chance for the anniversary series to get nominations.

It's been so long (for me) since I last saw KENIX and GALLEN! So excited to see them again and it's a plus that this series is totally dominated by veterans, woohoo! I hope this series won't disappoint me as I have high hopes for it. I just wished Kenix is paired with Gallen instead but oh wells. Omg, I still quite sad Bernice can't be in this series and pair with Kenneth. I love those two in ITA!

Born Rich Ofcourse because i really look forward to the comebacks of the Veterans and the storyline is super interesting.

Born Rich wins hands down! The other one reminds me of War and Beauty and its an ancient cos I prefer to watch modern. Also BR has all those veterans that I haven't saw in a long time and a couple that have never saw in a series before so that would be very interesting indeed! BR has a better cast too!

Absolutely BR! I've been waiting to watch this series since they announced it way back when. Since I'm an 80's/90's girl, I look forward to seeing all those great actors/actresses from that era...hope it will bring back that "Golden Era" feel that has been missing from a lot of Tvb series the past couple years.

I don't care for "Beyond the Realm.." Because honestly I'm kinda sick of seeing the same people over and over again...it seems that every series I've seen lately is the same cast (Charmaine, Moses, Kevin, Tavia, etc)

As a side note, I would actually prefer that they not move the awards show back because then it really wouldn't be fair to the earlier series --because so far, out of the late 2008 / early 2009 series that have aired, the only one that has a potential to dominate the awards this year is Rosy Business (IMO)...with the awards show pushed back to accomodate the "grand productions," series like Rosy will have less of a chance (and it really deserves to win this year, but will probably be overshadowed by the "big names" and "grand productions")

Its strange but maybe because I'm busy with life/career nowadays I find myself less looking forward for TVB series anymore; with some exceptions i.e. curiosity over rave reviews or contains people I like/want to watch.

At this moment I find myself neutral for both anniversary series.

Sometimes when TVB puts too much effort trying promote the series, the rating drops down.

And I personally don't like series about business and relationship fights, they are somewhat annoying unless there is a romantic storyline inside the story.

BORN RICH has the comeback of veterans with an interesting storyline.

BEYOND since there's Charvin. <3

But yeah, im okay with both but NOT very anticipated for it!

It's really rare to search for some grand production dramas nowadays. Besides Moonlight and Heart Of Greed, I will say modern grand production drama with ultimate veterans is really a rare occasion to be seen. Ray, Jamie, Gallen, Anita and Kenix too. WHOA!!! While I am typing their name lists, it makes you wanted to watch this drama!!! Other than this, I am Kenneth's fans. So, I really realy wanted to watch this drama too!

Beyond The Realm Of Conscience
Beyond...beyond...Yeah it's just like War And Beauty. Haha!!! My idols are in this show such as Moses, Kevin, Tavia and Charmaine as well as Selena!!! Whoa!!! It's really a high epic drama revolves around the Chinese dynasty palace. Although War And Beauty receives high rating in 2004, but I just don't understand the traditional words they are saying. Some more Tavia is the first time portraying an antagonist.

As a TVB fan, I'm excited for both series but moreso for Beyond! The trailer for Beyond the Realm of Conscience was definitely more grand and captivating compared with Born Rich. The costumes and hair design....the promising storyline and cast....However, TVB trailers and anniversary series that were most engaging in the past always do not live up to expectations. Hopefully Beyond will not make me 'drop my glasses'.

born rich for kenix and gallen! i haven't seem then in ages. i can't wait! i wish it was more than 40 episodes though.

"Beyond" more because I'm sick of family wealth fighting series (for now...HOG and MR just did it for me pretty much, not to mention RB). I miss WAB so...concubine fighting for me!

Born Rich, because Beyond the Realm is with the typical TVB cast. Born Rich has a solid cast all with outstanding acting. I love Anita Yuen, I can't wait to see her in another TVB.

I'm anticipating for Beyond the Realm of Conscience more. For one thing, it has a cast I like. Also, it's an ancient series! Mostly, it's cause my two favorite actresses are in it!! Charmaine and Tavia. It's also refreshing to see Tavia acting as a villain. After seeing the Mandarin trailer, I'm even more excited!! Hope this series get high ratings!!

I interested in both series, but just for choosing one, I will definitely choose "Beyond the Realm of Conscience." For starters, I like the people more. But that is not my major reason of course.

I really would like to see Charmaine and Tavia as sisters again. Because I just recently rewatched "Yummy Yummy" and I loved their sister chemistry. I want to see Charvin as well. And factor is that Tavia is going to be a villain in the series which I am really anticipating. Plus the costumes looks very elegant and pretty. It also has my two favorite actresses in there: Charmaine and Tavia!

Before, even though I was sick of family drama like HOG and MR I was more interested/looking forward to Born Rich because of the cast. I didn't watch Gallen in WADLAC and I don't know if I ever will but he's amazing, 'nuff said. Haha, I was anticipating it so much because of Kenix. I seriously miss seeing her on tv so much, I would watch anything she's in.

I was looking forward to Beyond, but it wasn't the kind of anticipation where I couldn't wait for it to be released. At first, I wanted to watch it just to see Tavia evil. But within the last week, I've been wanting to watch it after reading about all the things that are going to happen and how it makes me sick to the stomach just reading about it. Haha honestly though, right now as much as I want to watch it I'm kind of scared of watching it. I know there's going to be so much revenge seeking going on it and how it focuses on women which is even more brutal than it focusing on the male gender, imo. It's just that stereotype of how women hold onto grudges so much longer and guys just fight it out and the problem's solved.

I agree...I want to watch Born Rich because of the cast, not really because of the plot. I loved most of the series from the 80's and 90's and because most of the cast consists of "veterans" from that era, it will feel like I'm watching series from the 80's and 90's again (the Golden Era when TVB series were actually good without a doubt)....this is the primary reason I am looking forward to this series so much -- I mean, think about it: Ray Lui, Jamie Chik, Gallen Lo, Kenix Kwok, Anita Yuen....need I say more??

I don't care if the actor are old . I don't care if the drama story aren't great . As long as their acting is good it will brighten up the whole series .

I think both series have their merits.

Born Rich has an amazing strong cast and the storyline is gripping. This is a modern genre production.

Beyond the Realm of Conscience also has great actors and actresses and this is an ancient drama.

The costumes are dazzling and the plot is gripping and the acting of the cast is credible.

Beyond really has too many familiar faces, Charmaine, Kevin , Tavia , Moses I ALWAYS see them in TVB dramas and I'm getting sick of it.

although there are many veteran actors and actresses in born rich, the storyline is not interesting and the progress of the drama is very slow...not a single memorable scene up to episode 16

Beyond is overrated just as Moonlight. Beyond get more rating because young idols...
