Last year besides being an actress and singer, Charlene ventured out to the publishing world. She published a book about living in a single family environment, titled "Single Family's Love." Her father co-edited the book. In this book you can find notes that her father and her exchanged over the years from simple exchanges of conversation to their deepest feelings. Ever since Charlene entered the showbiz, her biggest fans has been her father. He acted as Twins' #1 fan, and at one point, the Chairman of their fanclub. Charlene revealed that her father gave up 3 loves for Charlene, and she didn't even know until later. Now Charlene hopes that her father would find someone to spend the rest of his life with, because she is worried if she gets married no one will take care of her father.

Only 5000 copies were made and sold in 2 days at the annual Book Fair in Hong Kong. Both father and daughter brought a crowd of fans and repoters to the mall. The book has printed its 2nd edition for fans who were unable to get the book before, and is being sold overseas as well. Charlene thanked her fans and friends in the industry for their support.

Papa Choi's perspective and interview from the book...

1. TWINS finished filming Twins Effect 2 a few days ago, they are entering a rest period in preparation for their May 1st concert in Guangzhou Tianhe Stadium "The taste of TWINS' 04 fun concert." In the mainland for the first time since the large-scale open-air stadium Kai Chang, TWINS particularly tense, they already left on the 29, two days ahead of time they will go to Guangzhou and Taiwan to adapt to the venue. Often close to Charlene Choi "always around" is her father Tsai (Cai Wei-chen). he went early to Guangzhou for the concert and runs all matters for his daughter.

Cai papa: "I am still glad that I gave her the best school, because facts proved that these investiment pays off, she is achieving remarkable success. As the old saying goes: "The father of the man." Cai papa also described ah Sa:

"Ah Sa from an early age is already very clever, lively, at school is a leading figure, everyone like to run with her."

Of course there were naughty moments as well, "I still remember times when there is a high school teacher who calls to complain that ah Sa led a group of children playing in the girl restroom. They filled the toilets with 'shampoo,' moreover they were playing water fight all the children were wet from top to bottom. She being the leader, would order everyone to wash their hair, and etc. the teacher don't even know where ah Sa learn all these stuff. "

Even more, ah Sa's beauty of the sun attracts a number of modeling companies. Sa papa finally let her start at the beginning as a amateur model. "I'm from the non-interference point of view. She is not short of money to spend, if she want to be a model it is her own choice, often photographer tells me to bring her back for more photos. When i finally asked her how much she is making and what does she know about the advertising business, she would give me her check after two months of hardwork with pride. "When she got her 1st check, she went and brought a green jacket for me, I was moved for a long time! "

Two to three years did not drag

Ah sa and her father are very "good friends," but there was one thing the two have never formally been talking about --- that is, her father's divorced. I totally LOVE how UP TO DATE you are in the intro.

Within the period of 9 almost 10 years, Charlene has really accomplish a lot more than many people her age. It is truely amazing and Charlene should be VERY proud. Oh yea that reminded me of what Charlene mentioned before. I believe they were on the topic of movies, Charlene said that if the script is good then she'll take it. She continue that when she accepts a project, she don't think about whether it'll help her win an award. [in other words, Charlene meant that she is not like some actress whom only accept the work if they'll win an award for it.] Personally, I think that as an actress, you must accept work as it comes by, if you only want role that would get you an award then really, you don't have a passion for acting.

Becca - I definitely remember Charlene talking about in the latest radio interview she did. I think what Charlene says about her career is always so honest, yet true. She was also talking about how it's impossible to pick roles to specifically win awards because you never know what's going to be well-received or not. If you make your career like that, you'll miss out on a lot of great opportunities. Instead, she just has fun with the opportunites she gets and works as hard as she can on each one of them as if it's the last project she'll ever have (:

Glad you like the title, ZunSa ^^ For the past 10 years, Charlene has grown, improved and matured but she was always slightly restricted by EEG since she had to stick to Twins' marketing image. But despite all the negative things that came out of the scandal, 2008 and 2009 have arguably been the best years for her career.

She's earned more respect than ever, improved in her singing and acting, and she's gathered more say in her own decisions with EEG than ever before. Like she's fine if there are rumors because she gets that gossip magazines need them to sell their magazines and it's part of being a celebrity and being followed everywhere. But lately, the rumors have been getting pretty preposterous. Like her forcing Ronald to marry her? Her leaving the industry next? And now, degrading her by implying that she associates herself and is willing to spend her life with a man who visits brothels? Like Charlene said, it's starting to cross the line and she hopes that reporters don't just keep draggin her name into everything.

Honestly, I wish they would ask about different things like her work. Like how CBS is doing, when they're going to start promoting, when it airs. Or more info about King of Guns. Or even about her dance movie. :

mary768 - Hey! Welcome There's no set date on when Twins will re-group. It will definitely not be this year, though. Charlene's said that for the time being, they're going to each be doing their own things so learn and improve before they regroup. Honestly, it's hard to say whether they will or won't eventually regroup since Charlene, Gillian, Mani and EEG keep dropping hints that swing both ways, but we'll see.

About Charlene's series with Mike He (Calling Big Star), we're not sure the specific date but it'll start airing sometime in July.

it's not just about the S poster,
the reason why charlene is getting really too annoyed is because,
the rumours are now saying that ronald and charlene "kai fang" (chinese word for "open a room", basically, go to a hotel and get a room to have sex.) together.
charlene has already, in the video posted, denied it totally and ask the reporters to just stop doing this to her,
she says that "I just want to live a simple happy life. From last year, rumours have been coming in WAVES after WAVES. Please just give me some pardon (begging for the reporters to pity her and not keep writing wrong things about her)."

this is seriously TOO MUCH.

yeah, that's what kai fang means,
and it's definitely got to do with report saying that ronald and charlene did it together,
cause i found out about it before reading the article when i first saw the video about charlene saying the rumours are false,
the title of the video itself was "Charlene denies opening a room with Ronald" that's how i knew about it and was even more annoyed after reading the article.

oh yeah, looks like the news about the 'S' poster is actually really big,
it had hit FRONT PAGE of singapore's main chinese newspaper Liang He Zao Bao (this is pretty big because i usually don't see charlene on front page news since it's usually all about politics, world crisis and the really big events stuff),
i didn't buy a copy but i saw the front page everywhere,
and for some reason, the big picture was of charlene's with her saying the quote "If my boyfriend visits brothels, I will kick him away." that we all know about already,
and the other 3 smaller pictures were EKIN, KEVIN and RONALD.
which is what i'm really confused about since in the scans we had seen in the previous thread,
