ABOUT GILLIAN/TWINS
-Charlene refers to Gillian as her "older sister" and says that she went to watch Gillian's 1st showing of her play and thought she did great. Charlene says that actually, Gillian's character was really hard (she even pushes down her own musical's difficulty level to compliment Gillian)- tons of conversations, back/forth where you can't make a mistake and for Gillian's first time, she really did awesome. The interviewer starts talking about what Gillian is up to next, since it doesn't seem like she has much else work after the play and Charlene immediately butts in and corrects him to stick up for Gillian that she actually does have work coming up. (Aw, Charlene's so sweet )

-About Twins, Charlene hopes that Twins can reunite faster, but it's EEG who'll figure it out. The entire time, EEG has been figuring out when is the right time they should reappear. Charlene says Twins definitely will reappear, but they don't know what day yet.

-The last time they appeared together was to record a clip to support Joey's album. For Charlene, it was really emotional because it's been way too long since they've done that kind of work together. For Joey's clip, they only briefly talked about what they were going to say and as soon as the cameras starting rolling, it just turned out that one person would say a line, the other would pick up from there - just a genuine banter after so many years knowing each other. When Charlene's by herself, no matter how hyper she is, the spirit can only reach so high. But with Gillian, the team spirit, entire morale and mood - you can't reach that level with just one person.


ABOUT "SURVIVOR"
-"Survivor" is about a relationship - say a girl and her boyfriend who two-times and is a player, but in fact in reality, it can be either a girl or a boy, and this exists in society. She hasn't personally experienced it, but she has seen people and friends who have had that type of experience (when the interviewer tries to get a name, she says that he doesn't now them )

-The composer/lyricist is the same person as Two Missing One and for Two Missing One, she really felt that he understood her really well so she didn't give him any tips/guidelines for "Survivor." When she saw "Survivor," she was just in shock and asked the lyricist - is this song okay to sing?! Because at first, the song was entitled "Collector" so Charlene thought that might not be too good (of course she realizes that people will think of it as the Edison/Gillian thing). But the composer explained that well, there are tons of those kinds of people in the world (insinuating it isn't necessarily about Edison/Gillian - tons of songs are about love, break-ups, cheating, etc). So Charlene realized that well, that's his composing style, I've already gotten him to write the song, so might as well accept his style, so let's go, but first we have to change the title.

-To Charlene, there are tons of two-timing people in the world so "Survivor" isn't sung for them. Instead, it's sung for the victims who are affected by the two-timers so they changed the title to "Survivor." (Note - Charlene makes it clear that both the roles of the two-timer and the victim aren't necessarily male as the two-timer, female as the victim. The genders are interchangeable and there are also female two-timers in the world.)

-When Charlene's unhappy, she goes to sing karaoke to sing really sad songs and it helps her as a form of release. So she feels that "Survivor" really fits that type of song for Survivors to listen to/sing when they're down in the dumps to bring them back up.


ABOUT HER NEW EP
-Charlene says that the EP (cover/photoshoot) is really pretty and cool The EP (to be released in the fall - at least that's what I understood it as) is NOT only full of sad songs (like the Two Missing One album) - Charlene doesn't think it's good to have too much of that sad, distant, longing mood. ( YES. Glad Charlene clarified that!) Like singing "Survivor," even though it's got deep lyrics and a band sound/rock style, even the lyricist didn't want Charlene to sing it too heavy/mournful so she sang it with a lighter feel. So after "Survivor," Charlene decided it'd be good to have a song that isn't so longing/mournful song. So, on the disc (Charlene makes it sound like it'll be her second plugged song? And that it'll be upbeat/happy) there's a song that Charlene wrote the lyrics to called "Able to Let Go."

-The composer that she used for "Able to Let Go" (who also writes for Kay) is a composer that Charlene uses a lot. She thinks that at this moment, they really match and it really fits her path. And, he's got a very Western (?) style that's different from a lot of HK music. And, Charlene likes working with very straight-forward people who don't try to complicate things or think too much of things.


ABOUT MARRIAGE
-The interviewer asks Charlene what she thinks about Miriam getting married. Charlene says that first off, she wants to congratulate her and she hopes that she can be happy. In this world, it's really difficult to find someone who matches you in every facet.

-Charlene herself is not yet ready for marriage - she's only 26. The interviewer asks her that when she does get married, will she want it to be a small marriage just the two of them that's a secret from everyone? Charlene says that to her, as someone in the entertainment business, as long as she does her work well and diligently, that's all that matters. If the public knows/finds out, then so be it, but she doesn't find it necessary to personally share it with everyone.


TIDBITS
-haha At the end of the interview, the interviewer says that there's an old Twins song that he/a coworker really wanted to play on the radio and asked Charlene to guess what song it was when he plays a bit. The instrumental plays for like 1 second and Charlene guesses it - Love is Bigger than the Sky and he's so surprised, saying that she guessed it so fast and Charlene's just laughing at how silly he is since of course she knows - she sang it

-Before the interview ends, the interviewer says that Charlene already has a lot accomplished in her career, so what left is she hoping for? Charlene hopes that she can do even more and when she grows old, she can think back and feel happy for her accomplishments and different things she's done

Earlier Raymond Lam held his first concert and received many positive responses from the public. His concert CD and DVD are also selling very well, reaching platinum sales. With such outstanding results, Raymond Lam and his music company must be very happy.

(So how will you celebrate?) If the DVD reaches three platinum sales, I’ll hold a T-back party, haha!” Even Mani (Fok) said she supports Raymond holding a T-back party, will even call Ah Sa to attend!



Reluctant to film Taiwanese dramas
Raymond Lam is very popular in the HK entertainment industry, his series are also very popular overseas. He also has many fans in South East Asian countries. Has Raymond thought about crossing borders, like his colleagues (in the same company) Charlene Choi and Ken Hung, and go to Taiwan to film a series? “I also want to film a Taiwan series.
