Ah Sa openly gives out secrets

Hong Kong people are generally among the general relationship with their fathers, let alone with the father having any close contact, such as ride on the shoulder, some father and daughter communication everyday for less than half an hour; or no communication at all. In this case of unsuitable communication, misunderstanding and differences can be caused.

Today is Father’s Day, Charlene Choi, Ah Sa, and her father teaches children to communicate with their fathers. The best way to communicate is to write their thoughts of everyday. When she was little, she found out that her father looked like Ah Lam, George Lam, from posters. Right now, they are both very precious to each other.

Ah Sa parents divorced when she was at a young age. Living with her father, Sa Daddy had to make ends meet while running [maybe they mean working](?). They did not have much time to spend together, not even to meet a week to go to the supermarkets to buy food. However, this made Ah Sa feel much more matured when she went alone. She was forced to cook by herself ever since young. She said, “It was not yet well developed, but I choose to write to my father as a way of communication. For example, I told him that I left food in the refrigerator for him when he gets back. Or something like that.” In addition, she is able to write down directly of things that can make him feel proud. However, she feels ashamed of some words that aren’t that impressive, like not enough money or telling her father to give her more attention when she needs it. [She was asked a question but I couldn’t understand what it meant.] Ah Sa just ignored it and smiled.

Most young people among the vulnerable, weak sense of life, not being able to survive(?), and long-term lack of communication with their parents can create lack of having the feeling of being cared for. Ah Sa suggested that young people can SMS with their parents and when the parents receive those messages and will be able to deal with embarrassment.

On Father’s Day, Ah Sa has doubled the earnings from last year with her new book written by her and her dad, “Single Family Love”. The book includes texts, illustrations and photographs of her and her father for more than a decade. Even if the delivery to not be with her father is very upsetting, she ruled out after the difficult times(?). Ah Sa is proud of the Mainland’s version of “Single Family Love” to expand in different areas of marketing.
