i dont think so specially with the one after the other debut of both girl groups and boy groups.
here in the philippines korean wave is just starting
There's differen generations of the korean wave, the one you started off with seems big at first, but then there's a new set of singers/dramas coming out and you don't keep tabs of it, so maybe it's just you. i know some people who are into korean stuff right now, and i'm kinda over it, lol..
in my opinion, anyway

for sure its dying down cuz the famous bands are losing so much attention
like DBSK is vanishing in the Japanese crowd
and Super Junior + Big Bang ect are laying low too...
If they didnt get shipped off to Japan they are trying to debut in the states. thats all u really have in korean music now a days.
if they all do a huge comeback it could spark more power again but since KOREA is focusing on the girl bands now a days the korean wave is dying down.
That and Japanese boy bands are rising in fame too with Japanese dramas being more well known than Korean dramas.
TW idol dramas are really growing too more people know TW idol dramas and their actors than Korean dramas and their actors

The Korean wave has definitely died down a bit in the last two years.
Sure there's still fans, but it's not like how it was before.

The korean wave has died down in 09. Everyone isnt as active in japan and korea. I think the most successful artists should debut in the states :] Certain groups are rising though like SHINee etc.
I dont know about everyone else but ive been converting more and more of my friends lately so the fans are still swirling in a korean wave pool ^^

if anything the korean wave is BACK ON!
have kinda lost interest since they ceased XMAN and groups like 1TYM and Se7en kinda slowed down but the new debuts of groups like 2NE1 2PM 2AM SNSD Davichi Big Bang going from strength to strength and nw variety programs like Family Outing have manage to get me excited like the good old days again!

For me, my own personal wave has just begun! I can't get enough! I've always seen the odd Korean film, but never really listened to K-Pop apart from odd Rain song. Then after watching Boys Before Flowers (I'd seen others so had to watch it to compare) it opened Pandora's box!!! I've discovered K-Pop artists I wouldn't usually listen to and watching variety shows like We Got Married!

I think it was wearing down in the past year, but lately its been revin back up again.
With Perez Hilton blogging k-pop videos, WG's touring with the Jonas Brothers, & Se7en & BoA debuting in the states, things are looking up! I really hope for success for them.

by the way rumour has it that YG has pulled the plug on the ida of se7en touring/trying to break the states, so deals like possible colabs with Justin Timberlake and tours in the US have been cancelled.
i dont know how se7en is feeling but i would be pretty ticked off

In a way it is dying for a bit but i'm positive that its gonna shoot back upto the top

I didn't listen to K-pop until just recently when i realised the Epicness of Big Bang, SHINee , Super Junior , Ft. Island, 2NE1, SNSD and Wonder girls

totalli. the first half of 2009 were dominated by girl groups and all the pop songs. The second half (now) is totally all about ballad songs and non-such popular groups such as FT Island. I really like their song its just like they arent overrated like 2ne1 and SNSD. Brown Eyed Girls and 4 Minute aint that bad either. I hope their be more ballad singers until the end of the year.

Hmm... Korean wave... as in the music industry or drama industry? Well, as a K-Pop fan, I am constantly updating myself with the latest news of the music industry, and thus, I really can't feel that the wave is wearing off... from me. I believe the Koreans don't feel the wearing off as well. Hehehe... for the others, people may be so into J-Pop or Mandopop or English entertainment that they could hardly realise the existence of K-Pop. It really depends on the degree of liking you have K-Pop.
For the drama industry, yeah, I feel that it wears off a little bit. Our local television channels don't really broadcast Korean dramas anymore, and if they do, it's usual repeats of the older dramas that have been shown before.

defff not!!!!
korea is becoming BIGGER!!!!!!!!!!1
more krn ppl debuting in america!! even in hollywood movies. like xman, G-I Joe, wondergirls, se7en
I think it has never died down, in both the acting industry & singing industry. First off, Boys Over Flowers hit off 2009 & I'm sure it's going to be/ is the most popular drama of the year in Korea. A lot of Korean artists & actors are trying to break into the U.S market and are featured in some very popular movies. Then you've got new groups like 2NE1 who are raising a storm in the Entertainment world! If anything, it's going to get bigger

I wouldn't say it's wearing off that much (sure the "hysteria" is gone), as I would rather say (and I can only speak for Japan), it's become a part of entertainment industry, like it's just _naturally there_. So instead of saying wearing off I would say now it has a steady position and will remain, which I think is much better than some weird short-termed boom. A little more low key but it's not going to disappear completely.

I don't think so...
You can hear the songs of 2ne1 anywhere, not only graders love them but also young teens or even in middle ages? the 2ne1 pull the trigger in music industry so as the wonder girl group...
as for drama or movies, many people still buying korean DVD'S (esp here in phils, pirated always available)...even in online...
