i just think that jay chou doesn't deserve to win at all. his vocal is still weak and sounds strain when hitting high notes, especially in his song 'where's the promised happiness'. he deserves the other awards he won like the best MV (mr.magic, which i think is really good), but not the best male singer!

Omg, finally a topic on this.
No, Jay totally didn't deserve to win. Comparing Jay to himself, his music is already going downhill. Now, comparing Jay's music to other singers' in the Best Male Singer category, it's even worse. Capricorn was nothing compared to Khalil's album or Leehom's. And do I even need to comment on how is voice is nothing compared to the other singers?
Gibberish.

No he doesn't. This is a freaking award for the best singing. He was NEVER known for his singing, not the good way. Not to mention his competitors are pretty strong. The only award I think he deserves is the Best MV award. He's a pretty decent director.
Jay's voice is thin and quite strained, making it somewhat uncomfortable to listen to. I still don't understand just by how he improved on his pronunciation (well done to the judges, never heard anything more convincing) and sang a wider genre of songs or something like that, he gets the award. Sure he manage to sing all the hard and different genres songs or something, but was the singing really that good?
I think he deserves it, for many reasons. But I also think that a few other artists, like Lee Hom deserves it too! Actually, I can't believe Lee Hom didn't win anything. It was pretty disappointing. Anyway, there's more artists that really, truly deserve that title & not just Jay (even though he's amazing).

i think he deserved to win.
though his voice might not be the best, i can feel emotion in his voice when he sings.
i also like the melodies that he composes as well as the lyrics that accompany it.
most of his songs are really deep and they speak to many people.
and for that, i think he deserved to win.

I agree! I think Jay Chou has the talent necessary to win, but it's
really surprising that Leehom didn't get anything. He's a musical genius!!!

I really really think he deserves it. Jay really bring Taiwanese music to the next level even you hate him, you still have to agree. When was the last time a Taiwanese singer is well-known world-wide? I don't quite remember. Plus, his music is very unique..

Since when will all of us unite, stop being influence by money minded medias and and raise our opinion on what are suppose to be good / quality songs and what are artwork pollutions?
What so big Fk about GMA, award and meat distributions? idon't give a damme. Artist working so hard with their music yet control by management like exploited puppets. Jay Chou like MJ are just a puppets/victims of pop culture.
listen to good works and just don't give a fk to advertismants, media or history of ugly Fanboys. FAK GMA!!
