Not including Wondergirls & Snsd & The Grace , because they have their own DIFFERENT uniforms and they are unique not because I support them. And in 2NE1 , hm , truthfully , they don't really look good and they can't sing.

Wow, can't sing? Have you even heard Park Bom? She has one of the best voices ever.

I personally love 2NE1. And that's really saying something coming from me because I hate girl groups. I think 2NE1 is the only girl group I like. I think they're different from other girl groups. They don't go for that cute/sexy image. And I like their style of music better. Plus, each member is really talented. Park Bom has the voice, CL can rap like no other & Minji is a really good dancer. Only Dara needs to work on her singing & dancing, but it's not like she's SO bad either.

Okay, I'm not a big fan of 2ne1 either, but I do like them. They're not completely original, but comparing them to existing k-pop girl groups, they definitely left a very different impression. It's fierce, and it's working fine.

So their look and overall image is not for everybody, but saying that they can't sing? That's stretching it. I have to disagree with the poster on this one, because I can probably think of other members in other girl groups who just don't have the vocals -- at all. Ergo, I believe each group has one member who has weak vocals, but to say it as a whole? NO.

As for who's great/best...it depends. It's so subjective that it's hard to pin down who really has it. IN the case of 2ne1, they are just starting, just like other newbie groups this year.

To the second poster, apparently you're quite unaware of the other member's contributions. Yes, Dara's popularity really helped somehow, but let's not forget that CL, Minji and Bom's talents were worth more of the credit. They're in Korea now and quite doing well, so to connect it with Dara's fans in the Philippines is just illogical. International fans, yes. But I'm quite sure that Korean fans [an non-filipino fans] would not like them just because Sandy was popular in the Philippines before.

I don't want to start the fan war, but if there is one thing I noticed nowadays with k-pop blogs/news/web sites, some people hate 2ne1 because of their fans. Although I find it stupid and funny sometimes, I still can't deny that some people find 'some' 2ne1 fans cocky, which is kinda true sometimes.

But as a group, they're good, sometimes even better.

I wouldn't call myself a fan who follows their every move..watches every video they can find etc., but I do like them. I reckon they're quite different when compared to other girl groups currently in Korea.

I guess the person who I'm really a fan of is Park Bom (since 2006). The first time I heard We Belong Together & Forever with You by Big Bang ft. Park Bom just got me hooked to her voice. I've been waiting patiently for her debut, and it's finally happened.

For me personally, I don't need my artists to be the best looking girl/guy out there. As long as they're great at what they do, what more can I ask for? I would rather have a not so good looking person would could sing rather than a good looking person who can't. If the artist happens to be good looking and is great at what he/she does...it just becomes a bonus. So really, 2NE1 being "not good looking" doesn't really matter cause they can sing.

And just a comment about the person before me... the thing is...there are tonnes of people who dislike (and sometimes to the point of hate) an artist because of their fans. Classic example is DBSK. I know quite a few people who dislike groups because of their fans, and really, that's just really stupid. It means that they're disliking the group not because they can't sing or dance but because of their fans. But you get over it cause every group has their share of people who dislike them because of their fans.

i suggest you watch old vids of Park Bom she CAN hella sing, she's actually the main reason why i love and support 2NE1 its because of her.
Minzi may not be a good singer like Bom but she's one amazing dancer.
CL is a good rapper although there are times i dont like her pronunciation aside from that she's a really good rapper.
Dara, no offence to dara fans[im a filipino too, just like her] but among them she is the weakest when it comes to singing, her dancing is ok though.

its like she lacks a bit somewhere.... her voice is always so powerful and strong and all but her recent performances are somewhat disappointing. is it the stage fright thing still?
cause i remember hearing bommie singing at one of the bb concerts and she was great it was outstanding, but especially with 'fire' her voice was relatively weak.

^ Oh yeah, I know what you mean. Her voice pre-debut seemed better than her after debut voice. When I saw her performing with Big Bang, her voice was so powerful & soulful. It's still amazing now, but it sounds more high pitched (or maybe YG is just giving her high pitched parts to sing in their songs cause she's the only one who can reach it?) & she gets a little pitchy at times.

Minji is actually a REALLY good singer. I think she has the best voice after Bom. CL's good too, but I prefer her at rapping.

I'm pretty sure 2NE1 and KARA do not dress alike at all. KARA has a sweet-girl image but slowly going to sexy(I guess). 2NE1's image is more of a tomgirl image.

So what if 2NE1 doesn't look good? Looks aren't supposed to be the reason you like people.

Park Bom is absolutely amazing, ever since she was in those Big Bang MVs. CL is interesting with here rapping and all. The other really young one Mintzy or something seems alright. The one that I really don't like is that Sandra Park one, not that particularly great at anything

Some of the members like Dara/Minzy (minzy's actually better than expected as she's mainly dancer, but her singing is like not bad most of the time) might not be the strongest at singing, but I think Bom and CL are great singers/rapping too on CL's part and both Minzy and Dara are actually improving! Bom has such a GREAT and STRONG voice though, agreed with little_shooting_star, so far I've always been pointing out that Bom isn't very stable during live performances, but she's getting better at that (since they obviously JUST started out; she's probably nervous or something), but CL's performing is always reallyyyy good!!

And I personally love their image, but that's okay. I understand when people don't like certain looks and images cuz people always tend to put focus on that AND people have diff opinions on looks and stuff.
BUT THE SINGING PART...MAN, you can't say they CAN'T SING! People can say they aren't THAAAT great, but I wouldn't call them "CAN'T SING". At least the people that aren't strong at singing (ie. Dara) don't go like off key throughout the whole song.

Overall, sure, not ALLL of them can sing, but if you like put all of these people together they equal a great girlgroup.

Minzy is a really good dancer for such a young aged girl and PLUS she is a good rapper
CL is a great rapper and singer too i dont understand how you can say she isnt and Park Bom not a good singer? are you crazy?..haha joking but she is a good singer the down side is just that she said she has a hard time remembering the lyrics and everyone has weakness and strenght

Am I the only one who doesn't like I Don't Care? Hahaha... I'm a HUGE fan of Fire, but I just can't feel I Don't Care. However, it's also in I Don't Care that I find CL and Min Ji great singers.

I think Park Bom is a talented singer, but just not live, recently. I agree that her voice is no longer "there". I have watched quite a number of Fire performances, and despite she sounds awesome in the track, her performance on stage was... disppointing. Perhaps Fire is not the song for her to sing live. I don't know, to be honest, I find her sniging HORRIBLE in some of the performances. She strained her voice, and there were some parts where you couldn't hear her voice at all.

2NE1's styles scare me sometimes. Like Min Ji... she's only 15 and she's so daring! The way she dances, moves... Sigh... girls these days. They just surprise you a lot.

I personally adore 2NE1. They bring a completely different style to the table opposed to the other girl groups in Korea. It's nice to see a female group that isn't just constantly using their looks and perfect bodies to attract attention. It makes you focus more on the music. They have their own swagger. No offense to the other girl groups, I also enjoy their music as well. Ahah.

LOL. i think same too.....except reversed. i love i dont care but i hate fire XD the first 30secs when cl raps is hot but the rest is bleh for me. its funny cause i always find myself rapping to the intro of fire even though i cant rap to save my life, but hey GD does it too =p

i kinda noticed as well that i dont find to see much chemistry between the four of them. i mean independently theyre great and all, but the vibe they send seems kinda like not as close. it lacks the bonding. or maybe is the choreography that kinda seems to isolate the girls and give that sort of impression. sorry if its offending to anyone, im not really hardcore 2ne1 fan so i really dont go search up too much on them other than their performances, but thats just how i interpret their body language. actually, its common to most yg artists. like bigbang. i know its not that much of an important issue but i cant help but notice the "newer" bands seem to have a sort of relationship thats a bit drifty....

I also don't like I Don't Care that much. I mean, I like the song, but the lives aren't as exciting to watch because there aren't intense dance moves & stuff. But, it's a nice switch from Fire. I can't wait for them to promote Pretty Boy next because that song is BEYOND FIERCE.


Oh, have you watched an episode of 2NE1 TV? Because I used to think that they didn't have too much chemistry either (I mean, they have a huge age gap...10 years difference between Bom/Dara & Minji), but after watching 2NE1 TV, I changed my mind because the bond is there. You can't even tell these girls are different ages because they're really close with each other. They always joke around & stuff. Maybe you just have to see them off stage to see their relationship.

i don't dislike 2ne1, but neither am i a huge fan of them as a whole. But i ADORE CL alot. I think she has lots of talent and potential to grow.

I use to think 2ne1 overrated because of the female version of bigbang hype given by fans before debut. But after their debut, i do think they deserve the hype. Every member can sing decently, and i gotta adore CL and minzy for their rapping skills.

I'm quite surprised that someone thinks they can't sing. Unless they're bias because they're a fan of some other group which is ridiculous.

I think the only one whose voice is not outstanding is Dara's. The tone is very soft and rather weak live. But the others always bring it vocally, especially Bom.

But then Bom needs to work on her dancing. At times it looks like she has no rhythm. Either way I really love these girls and I can give some constructive criticism as well.

Wow.. I was thinking about the same thing back then! But heh, 2ne1 grew on me and I have to say that although they aren't the best singers, they are however the group that has the charm to bring people to their attention

For someone like me who hasn't been a fan of any of the current groups ever since the S.E.S. era, 2ne1 is definitely something.

And honestly.... the image of Kara and 2ne1 is so different How is it possible they are the same?

I don't particulary like them. I like their music, it's ok, it's nothing unique or original, it's nice. Yeah as someone said they don't seem to have much chemistry, though fans will argue that. Their talents aren't out of this world. I don't wanna offend but IMO CL's rapping is annoying but she CAN rap and as a collective their singing is just ok, I've heard better. Haven't seen them dance much but I wasn't blown away. They don't deserve the hype tbh They're still rookies so people shouldn't treat them like professionals. They are pretty good though and will most probs improve.

Hmm...the girls seem to have pretty unpretentious to me,but perhaps they havent exactly settled to being 100% comfortable with having the camera around them yet (other than when they are performing).Besides,I think all artistes,especially so if you are an idol,are "fake" in some way or another.I think that their image fits them quite well though,however crazy.Watching their reality show,none of the girls seem extremely fake or attention seeking either.So yeah.But like I always say,to each his own.Probably,they also have aspects of their good or bad qualities that they would hide.

I like them and they can sing.People need to give them more time,because they seem to be trying there best.Dara is improving,CL is still bring that energy,Bom needs to relax and as for Minji she surprises me all the time.

I don't think she's a wannabe. She does seem to be the female version of GD, but hey, she's a good rapper & really fierce so people naturally compare her to GD. I don't think she's trying to be like him on purpose. And she's not obsessed with him. They're friends & she really looks up to him. GD dotes on the girls way more. And besides, the only YG guy CL is obsessed with is Teddy, LOL.
