Does anyone like her? She's on Disney Channel and I don't know .. all of a sudden she's became really popular haha. xD First I thought she looked like someone from As the bell rings USA but then she's the main leads in Camp Rock? :]

I'm neutral towards her but people say she can sing, dance and write songs?

She did have a role in As The Bell Rings if I'm not wrong?

Like the previous poster, I'm neutral.
But she's a little annoying sometimes.
I have to admit I kinda like her voice.

Well...I like her voice and all but her new song isn't great and I'm not really a fan of her.

For goodness sakes though, people should stop comparing her and Miley, they're so different.

Either way, I think Demi has some potential. She seems to be a decent actress, although improvement is necessary. I think her acting will improve overtime though, as she slowly gets more leading roles (like Camp Rock 2 coming up soon). In fact, I felt her acting improved a lot throughout Camp Rock itself.

I liked her solo "This is Me" from Camp Rock.
I thought she sang with nice vigor and energy, it's very impressive considering I was expecting something weak and shaky. for that, I give her a lot of credit! She does have some talent.

I really think Demi has the potential to become a great actress/singer. Her acting in Camp Rock was...typically Disney, but (it's rare for me to say this when it concerns Disney Channel stars) that's okay! She really seems to have the potential to get out of Disney and become someone in the industry. I really admire her singing. You can tell she was singing live at the Disney Channel games, and woah, I did not know she had a pair of lungs like that. I like how she isn't like other Disney stars. Instead of cutesy, pop songs, her songs have an edgy feel and I like that she's different. She definitely has potential. She can improve a lot, and who knows? Maybe she'll be walking on the red carpet someday. -shrugs- (:

I think she have potential to become a great singer. She's one of the few Disney star who can actually perform live. However... something about her facial reaction/smile that just annoys me; I think her smile is a bit too big? With that being said... the main reason why I like her is because she's best friend with Selena Gomez; who I think is absolutely adorable.

I personally don't really like her voice, but I think she has potential. I mean her voice is strong and has power, but it sounds squeaky at the same time (which I don't like). She always does this thing with her voice.. like, she makes scratchy noises? Ah Idk how to explain it, but yeah. Sounds like she's forcing it a bit too much sometimes. But that can be improved a lot with some training.

Never finished watching camp rock, so can't comment on her acting.

I think, she is one of the better singer out of the Disney bunch BUT I don't think she can ever achieve Miley status because I don't think she has the "it" factor. She isn't very charismatic and she doesn't really captivate you. Like I saw some of her lives, it was pretty boring =/.

She can really sing, her voice is very strong. I agree with AngelAngel, she lacks the 'it' factor (Not to say that Miley has it too ). She doesn't have that special aura Ashley Tisdale or Selena Gomez has. When she steps in at an event, she doesn't really draw attention unless all the reporters/paparazzi crowd around her and fans shout her name. If she was some ordinary person at a party or something, I don't think I'd take notice of her.

But overall, I kinda like her.

This is Me, sang by her is really catchy..but she have a weird smile..like her mouth..it's just rather wide compared to others? and yes, she's not the-very-attractive-kind. I mean, like what -carmen- said, you won't notice her, unless there's paparazzi around her. she didn't have the charm that makes people fall for her instantly.

Don't know what it is, but sometimes it gets annoying.

I used to think she was all right because she was BFF with Selena Gomez, who is a goddess in my eyes until further notice. But then she started changing her appearance and becoming buddy-buddy with Miley Cyrus, who I've learned to almost dislike with every fiber of my being. Her twitter and her responses to criticism further convince me that she's an airhead who doesn't know what she's doing. How did she even become famous? All she did was star alongside the Jonas Brothers in Camp Rock, which was a hit only because the premiere was heavily promoted on the Disney channel. The Jonas Brothers also helped her write half of the songs for her debut album, which made her famous mainly by association. Of course, seeing the Jonas Brothers are awful musicians themselves the album isn't much to speak of. Some may boast that she actually has "talent," but have they actually listened to her sing? The girl is always straining her voice and sounds like she's about to croak. As for her songwriting ability, she doesn't exactly shine there either. With nonsensical lines like "We were once so strong, our love is like a song" one has to wonder is she never outgrew that tendency to write bad poetry that every fourteen-year-old girl has. Writing poetry isn't about rhyming, Demi. Seriously.

So... the things I don't like about her... Demi isn't super talented. She's OK at acting, but nothing really special enough for her to be "the next Meryl" (which is a stupid thing I heard once). Her singing sucks. No offense. She sounds like she's in a bedroom, if you know what I mean. =/

She kind of acts like she's so modest, but you can tell that there's an underlying tone in the way she speaks that's kind of holier than thou.

She's often trying to act cute, like in Camp Rock, and her Disney show. Like she'd make these faces at the camera, and it gets really annoying after a while. And her voice sounds so unnatural. Like I go wth? when she talks.

I quite like her. She's very cute, funny, and has a good voice. She's WAY more talented than idiotic Miley Cyrus. People keep saying Miley has this "It" factor, but it's really just pretentiousness. I remember when Hannah Montana first came out, yes, she was VERY popular, but only among kids and tweens. The scandalous pictures she keeps 'leaking' is what catapulted her to recognition among the older crowd.



She doesn't need training for that. It's just the way her voice sounds. It's not an imperfection, but a style.

It's close-minded to think that only people with smooth, girly voices can sing.
