Full Version: Thread cleaning?

Recently, posts have been disappearing from Steven Ma's thread. I've noticed this 'phenomenon' a few weeks ago, only because post topping a page kept regressing back to previous page and, naturally affecting the post numbering sequence.

So is the thread been audited?

For instance, in my signature "click post# 739 Steven catalog" is now being reduced to post# 697, a variance of 42 posts.

The deletion of posts is not a one time shot but has been going on for a few weeks now.

yes, the thread is currently being despammed ...Steven Ma's thread is now on page 44...before we can go on and open a new thread (which happens when we've reached 2000 posts, page 50), the current thread has to be 'cleaned' first that is why you noticed that the posts are moved back...

hope that answers ur question smile.gif

Thanks for your quick response. I'd thought so. Just curious, how do you go about de-spamming a thread that is 44 page long - like do you use a program that detects a one liner post, spam post etc or do you actually skim through each page to pick out spams?

we actually go through all pages, post by post...that is why deletion of posts does not happen on a "one time shot" becoz the mod who is working on Steven Ma's thread can't possibly go through all 44 pages in one day...

also it could happen that "a global spamscan is made or a moderator has used the spamscan individually, spamposts will be deleted then ...."

for more info u can check the FAQ

and you are welcome smile.gif
