Star Empire's New Boy Group: Child of Empire



Star Empire Entertainment is set to debut a new 9 member boy band "Child of Empire".

Following the street performance tradition of Park Jung Ah and VOS, the group will ride around the city in a truck and perform guerrilla style in various locations from 28th September to build up experience and gain support.

Child of Empire first showed their faces back in April, on MNET's "Office Reality" where it showed them training up for their debut. Some of the members have reportedly trained for more than four years. No mention of the girls who were on the same show too.

Among them, Park Hyeong Sik (19) appeared as the boyfriend in Jewlery S "Date" video. Moon Joon Yeong (21) became very popular on Mnet's "Flower Boys Terror". These two along with 7 others will make up the new group.

I was waiting if someone was going to make their thread! I can't wait until they debut!! Another big group. It is going to be hard to chose who I like then. haha.

I do know Park Hyeong Sik from Jewelry S Date though. I thought he was just so cute!

child of empire strikes hard?
Child of Empire, a new 9 member boy group set to debut in November under Star Empire Entertainment, are striking hard. Before their official debut, they have expressed feelings of wanting a fan club of at least 10,000 people, and they plan on getting those fans. The group has been making small appearances in the media over the past year, popping up here and there, but now they want as much exposure as possible.

The group will start making appearances all over Korea, visiting many cities and even schools starting on the 13th, making 3 street performances a day. As if that wasn't enough, the group says they hope to make 50 live performances after their debut by the end of November. The group also has a "if you request it, we'll be there" kind of policy.

Are they out of their minds? Probably. Will they feed off only sugar and coffee? Most likely. Are they crazy? Definitely. Is that guy secretly going commando under that kilt? I wish. But a representative said, "Most artists say it's too difficult and tiring to do street performances and we're worried whether or not the members will be able to digest such a feat but, if they can gain sympathy for their dedication and hard work to their music, we're sure they'll be a raging success."

^Thanks for sharing the news!! Aiyo! I think they are already well liked and they will definitely be able to get those 10,000 fans.
I really like them but I hope that they don’t tire themselves out reaching their goal. I want to see how this will turn out and I want them to do well.

Reported earlier about Star Empire debuting their new 9 member boy group, Child of Empire.

Having watched some fancams of their guerrilla performances before their debut in November, here's another performance of them doing SNSD's Genie and Brown Eyed Girls' Abracadabra. I wonder why do they call their concert, Child of Empire Returns when they haven't even made their official debut.

Season 2 of Mnet's Empire's Children reality show will return on 19th October. But rather than focusing on Star Empire artistes, it will concentrate on the debut of Child of Empire, as they anchor their own show before their November debut.

Star Empire has expressed their regret for group V.O.S’ transfer to another company.

On Mnet ‘Return of the Empire’s Children’ aired on 19th October, the representative Shin JooHak of Star Empire said, “This year, there is no much profits for Star Empire and we have no backup plan for that. With that, we call it a crisis for the company. With various situations of singers like transfer of company and inactivity, we will have to go ahead with Child Of Empire unconditionally.”


With that, it was stated that there are plans for Child Of Empire to do a programme on their wingcar public performance, saying that, “It will be of help. This was what Jewelry and V.O.S went through.”

What it means by a wingcar performance is that the members will do a mission of going around doing public performances without the help of a manager or company staff doing PR and promotions. Even as Child Of Empire consists of 9 members, they will only be given 100k KRW as promotion fees and they will have to settle meals and sleep in tents.

Star Empire’s representive said, “It will be hard to survive over 2D1N with just the amount because they have to settle from petrol fees to food with that. But with the hardship they go through, it will allow them to display their strength on stage in the future.”

Child of Empire continues wingcar performances

Dubbed as the "Gain 100,000 fans" boy group, Child of Empire held another wingcar performance in Daegu last night to help raise money for their financially troubled company, Star Empire. They performed songs from their upcoming album and the show lasted for about an hour. A special guest appearance by Poppin Hyun Joon set the tone of the night as he helped heat things up for the fans that gathered to show their support.

Child of Empire is set to make their official debut at the end of November and will continue their wingcar performances in Masan on the 22nd and in Changwon on the 23rd.

members Parodies Lee hyori!
The nine-member boy band Child of Empire, set to debut in December, released a parody MV of singer Lee Hyori.

Aired for their reality show on MNet, the group split into groups of three led by members Kevin, Moon Joon Yeong, and Siwan.

Kevin's team created "Beyond the Empire", which showed off their rock hard abs and masculine charms. However, the group's maknae, Dong Jun Goon, decided to break off and transform himself into the diva Lee Hyori.

The three teams each did some form of video for a competition where the winner will be decided by a combination of online votes and votes by company officials.

The resemblance that the guy (if that's what you want to call him) has with Lee Hyori is almost scary. Hopefully the kpop industry won't have to deal with two Jo Kwon-like personalities.

Yay, now we know more about the members.
I don’t know why but I love anyone with the name Moon because it is just so cool and Moon Joon Yeong does resemble Micky.
Park Hyeong Shik is extremely good looking and it is almost his birthday as well! I’m older than him though! haha.
Im Si Wan has the same birthday as my mom! He can play the violin! I would love to see him play it that would be really cool.
Kim Tae Hoon’s birthday is right after my sisters! Haha.
Kevin is from Australia! I had a feeling that he wasn’t from Korea. haha. TaeHoon is the mother of the group so does that make Joon Yeong the father since he is the leader?
I really can’t wait for their debut!! It is going to be awesome!
