*The fairy tale of Yeung Gong Yu all started in the summer of 1995. Born in Shanghai, China and migrated to Torronto, Canada at a very young age, Kristy has always been wanted by her mother to lead an independent life. However, she was by nature a shy girl. After completing her high school years, she was accepted to York University in Torronto, Canada. But a trip to Hong Kong in the summer of 1995 changed her whole life. During that one summer, Kristy and her mother came back to Hong Kong for a visit. By chance, ATV's Beauty Pageant Contest was going on during that time and Kristy's mom encouraged her daughter to join the competition during their stay there. At first she was hesitated, but after her mom pointed out to her that since none of their relatives and friends were in Hong Kong, Kristy thought she might as well please her mother as there would not be much embarrassment even if she loses the contest.

Little did she know she would come out as the brightest star of that memorable night of the contest. Kristy emerged the winner, earning herself the title of Miss Asia 1995. She also won the Miss Photogenic and Most Popular Contestant awards. From that point on, her popularity began to soar as ATV began promoting her with numerous series. Her diva status was further confirmed as she ventured into the big screen movie market with much success. Life has never been more colorful and glamorous for Kristy.

wow all those are so nice...did u make them? wow...so prettiful. Kristy is so pretty! She has to be one of my fav actresses, if not tied for first already...hehe...i've seen a lot of her works...its really good...problem is recently i got alot of her movies, n she keeps on dying...I saw Avenging Fist, then A Man Called Hero, then Storm Raiders, n i remember her dyin in Rules of the Game too...oh n in Monkey King 3... but everytime time i see her die, i shed at least one tear... it's so sad. but she is indeed one of my all time fav... i absolutely luved her in For Bad Boys Only...though i wanted to see more of her, but Louis n Kristy, they make such an adorable couple...so cute...heh they're probably my all time fav onscreen couple...

I started to like Kristy in The Snow is Red. That's like her best ancient serie; her role was perfect and she performed well. She was tricky, smart, and pretty in there. Moreover, she was highly promoted in that serie. That guy in there didn’t worth all her sacrifices, shesh. I think she really matched with Louis. Louis and Kristy make a very cute couple in movies. =)

She's a really good actress. She was excellent in Portland Street Blues and entertaining in For Bad Boys Only. She was also in Comrades Almost a Love Story. I wish she'd get more roles.
