Looks like the hot new boy group raised under Rain's (Bi) wing is going to be here soon.

The teaser poster, which was posted all around Seoul, features a vampire-ish concept and has certainly sparked interest among Koreans.

MBLAQ which stands for "Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality's" is set to debut with a teaser at Rain's "Legend of Rainism" concert tour on October 9th at the Olympic Park Stadium.

Recently the group has raised topics after some cuts from their photoshoot has been revealed. As soon as the cuts were revealed, the group was one of the top searched artistes on various search portal sites. But many netizens are curious to know about this group.

JTunes Entertainment representatives revealed that of the 5 members, there is Jang Goon (real name Jung Byung Hee), ex-member of group TYKEYS which debuted in 2007. TYKEYS is a 3-member male group under TY Entertainment with members Jang Goon (vocals), Soo (vocals) and HyunJeong (rap).

The rest of the r 4 members are Kim Sang Bae, Yang Seung Ho and Bang Cheol Young. Lee Chang Seon will stay as Lee Joon.

MBLAQ performs; Sandara Park’s Brother in MBLAQ



On the 9th, MBLAQ (Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality's), pronounced as "M Black," debuted with their first performance in world-star Rain's "Asia Tour: Legend of Rainism," in Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastic Stadium. They performed 3 songs live, one of which was their debut album title song, "Oh, Yes (오, 예)," in the opening stage in front of 8000 attendance.

Rain showed a lot of satisfaction as he met with the reporters in his prep room after the concert. He commented, "MBLAQ has been preparing for 2 years. They have great talent in singing, dancing, and rapping. Compared to my debut, I think their skills are better than mine."

Rain commented, "Looking at MBLAQ's performance, I think I was more anxious. ... I can now understand Park Jin Young hyung's feelings. He said he would come to tomorrow's (10th) concert, so he can evaluate MBLAQ."

With Sandara's little brother joining MBLAQ, it just makes it more exciting! Another sibling has joined fellow duos Jessica-Kystal and Jiyoung-Kim Yoon Ji!

With Rain saying that MBLAQ is better than when he was when he a rookie, I will be expecting a hot debut from them!

Sang Bae left the group. Aw, and he is so cute!! Oh! I know Cheol Yong’s sister she was in Vacation! Haha. I remember seeing the video of IU and Sandara’s brother singing Sorry Sorry and Lies. They did really well and he is soo adorable!! The part of the song by them that I heard is nice. I can’t wait to hear more from them.

After the recent release of MBLAQ's MV "Oh Yeah," and their first single album "Just BLAQ," they have already started to dominate the music portal sites.

In the portal site Kyobo Book, MBLAQ's album is number 1 in pre-order, as well as also having the 1st place in "most-viewed" in music portal sites such as Mnet and Melon.

This isn't all. MBLAQ have already gotten a nickname from the fans, as they are getting called, "Chic-doll," which means "handsome idol." The fans also have started making fan cafes of MBLAQ throughout different portal sites.

The representative of MBLAQ's agency commented, "It is extremely rare for a rookie group to receive a lot of attention. Especially when they haven't even performed in broadcast. Having to carry the heavy weight of 'Rain' being their producer, we are really satisfied about their great work up until now.

Sang Hyun doesn't really resembles Sandara. But then they are six years apart. Hahaha...

I really like Oh Yeah right now. The MV is good, too. Too bad their debut stage at M Countdown sorta ruined it. I prefer that they debut in Music Bank or Inkigayo, which are guaranteed with better camera shots and sound systems. I wonder why they didn't debut in Music Bank, though. Now I'll have to wait for today's Inkigayo! Sob...

So far, Joon has my attention! Hahaha... I find that he and Mir look alike. I had trouble differentiating them in the MV, except that one had a bandanna and the other didn't.

MBLAQ Makes 4th and 5th Visit on Starry Night




After their short, but sweet visit to MBC Starry Night radio earlier this week, the MBLAQ quintet returned again on the 23rd and 24th to boast their vocal talents through two live performances. "My Dream," one of the tracks off of their debut album, is a mellow R&B song that is sung by Lee Joon, G.O (real name: Byung Hee) and Seung Ho. While Lee Joon's harmonizing, Byung Hee's ad-libs and the leader's falsetto blended together beautifully, Mir and Thunder, unfortunately, had no lines in the song and despite standing, sat this one out. The emotional lyrics of the chorus that cries, "You're my dream, you're my soul, you're my reason" will surely tug at your heartstrings.

Next up was their rendition of "This Love" by Maroon 5. It was another mind-blowing, eye-opening, jaw-dropping, heart-stopping, awe-inspiring performance; this time, by MBLAQ's trio of Seung Ho, G.O, and Thunder. With their Korean accents aside, the trio really delivered--from Seung Ho's amazing piano-playing to G.O's creamy vocals, the performance was captivating and an overall delight to hear. Although brief, the addition of Thunder's rap near the end complemented the prime pop-rock song as well.

Furthermore, a couple changes were made to the appearance of two individual; Seung Ho reverted back to his black hair, which was previously dyed blonde, and G.O ditched his shades for a pair of smokey eyes.

Woooohoooo! MBLAQ is love.

MBLAQ! Whoo!! I just watched their mv and I really like they are sooo hot!! I loved the song My Dream and they did a wonder job singing it on Starry Night. I like their version of This Love as well they did a good job singing it. Seung Ho and GO have such amazing voices. I wanted Thunder to have sung more though. Seung Ho is really good at playing the piano.

I listened to them when they were on Sukira with F.T Triple!! Leeteuk and Eunhyuk were surprised that Mir was the yongest! Haha. Joon has already met with Jaejin because he knows Jaejin’s sister. Minhwan said that Cheon Dung resembles Nichkhun and Mir looks like Hongki. haha. They seem to all have gotten along great.

MBLAQ Elle Girl photoshoot – Mir revealed near-depression period before debut



‘Rain’s descendant’ MBLAQ recent stylish photoshoot for Elle Girl December issue has been revealed.

They have also earned themselves the nickname of ‘chic-dol (chic idol)’ for their stylish photoshoots and for this one, the concept was ‘Street Boys’.

The boys were clad in denim and posed in the setting of a rundown factory, just like James Dean in ‘Rebel without a cause’.

Member Mir also revealed something about his pre-debut period.


During the interview for the photoshoot, 2NE1 Sandara Park’s brother Thunder said, “To showcase a good performance, we are currently doing OBE practices.”

And Go EunAh’s brother Mir said, “Before debut, I went through a difficult period, enough to have undergone depression.”

Who’s got the most attractive butt in MBLAQ?

MBLAQ was on a game music talk show called Han Young's Happy U where they revealed some intimate facts about themselves.

They were asked whether or not they could name one thing about themselves that's better than Rain. Mir answered yes and said, "I'm confident about my butt."

They surprised the audience with their honest answers. On the show, they performed Oh Yeah as well as G.O.O.D Luv.
