I wonder if it me the only 1 broke.
I'm poor really poor lol. My parents doesn't support me and i have to pay everything by myself. I made 2.3k per month but spend like almost 2.1k . For rent and foods. Yeah i try to save a lot but only can save 200 dollar. I'm not even add up the money i spend during the time i spend with friend T.,T .
I work so hard and all i have left extra just few dollar. Enough to survive.

Is there any way i can improve my life?
i try to get some financial aid or scholarship or student loan but i have no idea what is student loan and how much they will loan me. When i need to pay them back...

Well for starters, you are definitely not the only college student, who is broke. Some of my friends are broke too while we were in college, but it really depends on your college about what student loans/scholarships it offer. I didn't have my parents supporting me either, because they can't afford to. Look up scholarships you might qualify for online. =) Some scholarships might require community service though, or at least, here it sometimes does...., and that can be tough with a job. In the worse case, try to borrow money from the bank? My cousin borrowed over 20k, but the plan to return the money can be quite hefty, so be prepared after graduation. =S

My college has a meal plan, which means your meals are pre-paid when your tuition bills come. Everyone has a different situation. Idk how reliable your friends are, but sometimes u can eat with a friend so it costs less and u can share food. Maybe u can save some money that way. But yeah, I think some college students have it tough. Their job might not be enough for them to pay the rent/food. You can always save your money and not go out. =X

Back in university i was hahaha...ex-student here but yea we all feel your pain. Look you don't need to save money, what's there to do if your saving? If you're paying your rent and having fun going out then you may as well live on the edge of being poor right?

Though if you are saving for a trip or something:

1. No personal items
2. Buy what you need not want
3. Save for social events
4. Find Alternatives to making money [In short - eBay]

I'd say you don't need to spent 2k a month.

- Food is bad (eat plain and cheap food at home because all food is - is fuel) - socially eat well.
- Movies - Avoid (you can SHARE them online)
- Transport - Car Pool or Walk [Public transport is best]
- Food "again" - there is no such thing as having a snack. (having snacks = having a habit = one step closer to obesity lol)
- Clothing - Join websites that announces discount events - you can pick up some nice branded clothing for 70% [I never went, i don't like the people who go crazy for bargains]
- Books and Text Books? - Lol buy a laptop and share some ebooks. (saved so much no buying pens and paper, and SHARING the text books online)

That's my tips.

All uni/college students are poor, we all have limited money to spend on ourselves and most of our finances goes towards living costs, food and fees.

So you are definately not the only poor student, every student is poor.

the typical college student is either broke or they're just barely getting by with what limited money they have. i find that as a college student the thing that i spend most money on is food. buy groceries when it is the deal of the week and try clipping coupons and stuff. you can find so many coupons online for grocery that you can probably save on average $10-$15 on a typical trip to the grocery store.

as for student loans, check with the financial aid office at your university. they will help you out in giving you information about loans. usually you do not need to pay back your loans until one year after you graduate and interest rate is also not high at all.

I was pretty poor as a college student a long time ago. But I got by and managed to avoid going into major debt. It's even harder for you kids now a days with the crazy economy.

everyone i know in uni is barely scraping through unless they have jobs

paying rent for the house, bills, food etc

if you go out alot, as in clubbing, remember to pre-drink at home and try not to spend too much on luxury items

I'm a one of poor student. We often choose cheaper things or cut off unnecessary things even bath shower,... cook simple food, almost boil it to eat. Student life is very funny.

i dont know how students can say they are poor yet they are going out many times a week and have a damn good social life. When i was a student i had loads of money, now i have a house, car, gf etc i am pretty poor.
