Ok, I've heard about MARS for a while now and I actually really wanted to see it, but if its just about the kissing and sleeping, maybe it's not worth it...I mean, come on, is there any 'emotional' love in the series??? Not really, there are lot of other emotional scenes that are quite good.
It's a must see..is really a different love story to other one you see.

Mars is a good series. ANd both Vic and Barbie showed good acting on this one. It is worth watching the entire series. Mars is a must see series.

I watched this series already but is it just me or what because I seem to enjoy Meteor Rain a lot more than Mars. At first, I even watch MARS because Vic is in it, but this series kind of seem sad and boring. I watch it for awhile then skip it, never seem to watch the ending though.

I seriously think that the people who love mars is the people who has brain, seriously mars is a very difficult drama to understand, the conflict and the human characteristic which's being brought up in mars are complicated and all connected with the dark side of human heart, mars is very different from other cheesy-sugarcoated dramas you usually see, even my sister watched mars, she said finally a drama she can stand of watching it without her feeling of wanting to puke, because she just doesn't watch drama series, period.
Or second, is the people who is a vic's fan. So it's either one. People who don't like mars, i guess they don't belong to either one of that.
As for me, i have never like taiwanese dramas, because they are horrible, but mars has really intrigued me in the first place, so i checked it out, and i didn't regret it, i love the drama, simply because it's very beautifuly done, no cheap conflict and plot, and good acting. After watching mars, i can claimly say that vic has just gotten himself a new fan. I thought f4 can't act, i guess i was wrong, at least vic can. I'm surprised to find Vic Chou and Barbie Xu's thread, is there a mars thread too in here? maybe i should join this forum.

from the few episodes i've seen, i have to say that i love this drama. it's very emotional and the story is very good. i also have to say that vic's acting has greatly improved since the meteor garden days.

she's too old for him even tho they look cute together, it's still kinda like siblings cute.

Bie is a matterafact olda than vic, but then agen, all vic's co-star's been olda, vivian, aya, hwl, da gal-come to my place-vic's luv interest, they r all olda than him, so no surprise in der an'mor.
Abt dat siblin-thingy. in Mars they r def'ntely-abslutely 110% couple. No siblin can do wat Vic does to Bie in dos scenes in mars, & if u see da way Bie kisses him back, HELL ain't see no siblin-cute in der, no mistake abt their chemistry, they r sizzlinly H-O-T n BERY Romantic. juzz go n' watch it.

They sure have good chemistry - Vic and Barbie worked great in Mars. Doesn't really matter that she's older than him cos the age gap didn't show thru in their acting. It was also good to see how much they both have improved since their MG days, especially Vic's. I wasn't really a fan of him before as I thought he only traded on his looks but he sure can carry a series on his own.

Watched Episode 10 last night and again Vic did not disappoint me. His acting was superb. This episode was really great, there were many scenes that were really touching. Vic and Da S really have very good chemistry together. Mars is really a great drama, the OST is also very good. I like the songs Ling and Rang Wo Ai Ni sung by Vic and Da S.

I just finished watching MARS and omigosh its superb!!!! ZaiZai and Da S have impressed me a lot.
most of my favorites scenes where from but of course, Da S and Zaizai I really admired their tandem, it gives me emotional jitters, makes me feel in love, hurt and happy at the same time.
Da S have really improved in her acting skills and she had moved me in each crying scenes esp the part where Ling was pretending to rape her. I also ove their lovemaking scene, it was done in a very artistic and loving way also the dialogues are superb!!!

After almost finishing this drama. I also love Qi Luo and Ling pairing up. I went back and watched Meteor Garden and I realized that the chemistry between Qi Luo and Ling was much more powerful than Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si. Even though I love both drama, I think that Mars has the better actors.

Just finished watching Mars, at first I was a bit skeptical and didn't think it would be all that great. But, to my surprise this drama is very good. Wow, definitely not your typical lovely dovely melodrama. The music is also very catchy and the duet with Vic and Barbie is nice too!
I loved that Ling and Quilo's love never wavered even admist all those issues that surfaced between them. They make such a cute couple with good chemistry!

I finally finished this serie on Monday on T.V. I think Ling did a very good job in this drama. I like his hair! I think he fits him so well. I also like his childish smile and those random comments he make. Love his strong and willful character too.
I also admire Barbie's acting. She definitely improved too. I thought she portray her character very well. Like the scenes where she had to act like she's being raped and stuff are really believable.
Anyhow, I recommend this drama to everyone. A great serie.

Just gotta say that I absolutely loved, loved, loved it!! Zai Zai!! It was a complete turnaround from Meteor Garden not only because his acting has improved so much, but because his character was so...intriguing. Couldn't take my eyes off of him. He stole the show.
I also liked Barbie's character Qi Luo, because she was so artistic. I can identify with her reserved personality and quiet nature. It's not often that you see these kind of characters in dramas.
I loved how there was a bit of a dark part to the story. It adds depth and substance to the whole story, not making it just a long, drawn out teenage drama.
For those of you have not seen it, lemme me tell you a secret: SEE IT! SEE IT any possible way you can!!!

Collection News on Mars in China - Mars cant be shown on CCTV but will be on CETV China satelit TV

Mars, starring dream idol team Zaizai Zhou YuMin and DaS Xu XiYuan, has sold its broadcasting rights all over the world, but has run into obstacles in China. Besides the campus violence and dark and gloomy storyline, adapting from Japanese manga is viewed as one of the major reasons.

During the time China is having anti-Japan protests, Zaizai, DaS, and Lai YaYan will visit China cities, such as Shanghai and Beijing, in May to promote TV series Mars. Because Mars is adapted from Japanese manga, wondering if it will be affected and frightened, DaS is already doing what-if analysis.

Mars DVD distributor invites Zaizai, DaS, and Lai YaYan to China to promote Mars in China. They will have press conferences and meet and greets in selected cities such as Beijing and Shanghai.

But DaS is really worried about her own safety. DaS' manager XiaoXuan indicates that of course DaS is worried. She has been observing the development of the situations and has simulated various scenarios with the company, including how to deal with if being thrown things at or protested against. She once considered not going.Regardless, on second thoughts, DaS thinks fans love her and should be sensible. After all she also wants to meet fans whom she hasn't seen for a while.

Zaizai's manager Zhi XiangLi indicates that Zaizai isn't worried at all. Despite that Mars is adapted from Japanese manga, it's made in Taiwan. Besides Zaizai is not Japanese, instead he is a Chinese we can be proud of.

I think ZZ and Da S made a good couple in MARS. ZZ plays his character Chan Ling who was so complex... cool, scary, mischievious and mad so well! Yet he was so protective and Sweet to Da S character Han Chi Luoh....

But must say chemistry seemed to be better between Da S and Jerry in Meteor Garden. I think Jerry was lucky to get the caring, manly rich kid role whereas ZZ was so scrawney back then - a big big improvement in his acting aswell as looks in MARS compared with MG.

jerry and vanness arrived in saturday afternoon, and vic and ken in sunday night.
i went to the airport to see Vic ,
i got a nice photos from japanese blog,so i try to post it..

Wow... I was pleasantly surprised to find this thread. Ever since Meteor Garden, I've been a huge Lei and Shan Cai shipper. I'm not exactly quite so much a fan of Vic and Barbie, but I do think they're cute together. Not really in a romantic way though. I like how they always laugh together, joke together, and they're just like brothers and sisters. Of course, I adore their drama pairings - Lei and Shan Cai, Ling and Qi Luo.

They're adorable together. And I know that they have extreemly close relationship. Almost a sibling- like one. I'm more of JnB fans, but I do remember the time when Bie cracks a joke and said that when she asked ZZ's opinion about Blue when they're started going out, ZZ said that he was more handsome than him. About mars dvd/vcd, im sorry i cudnt help u wif dis. I had my vcd from my fren in sg. But if u wana buy it from intnet, yesasia.com sells it. But dont buy dvd version, bcoz its oso cutted. buy vcd (taiwan version in yesasia) bcoz its full version, but vcd dont hab behind-da-scene, dvd hab.
So ur choices're:
1. you buy dvd, its cutted into 20 eps. but hab behind-da-scene
OR
2. you buy vcd, its full version 21 eps. but no behind-da-scene.
