It's really uncertain...they may had developed some feelings for each other long ago, and there are beliefs that Vic confessed he has feelings for Barbie ever since MG days...but everything in the past was kinda blurry, but like it has been stated before, the bottom line is that they both are dating now



I understand what u mean, however Ang Lee stated that he wants a younger and fresh face, so it's also possible that what Ang has stated is really what happened, the auditions in the mainland were very silent, there were no updates about it, and Ang constantly stated that he wants a younger actress, and that was the criteria he was searching for since the very beginning...so it probably wasn't Barbie, because if she was reluctant to reveal too much of herself, then she probably wouldn't go to the audition in the first place, she had read the script before she went to the audition, so if she wasn't very confident about certain parts of the script, then she probably wouldn't go to the audition, or she might've discussed the problem with Ang at the audition, but I don't think she did.
