they're still close enough..."da jie" means "big sister", while "jie" means "elder sister"...so they're still basically the same, the only difference is that "da jie" is a bigger term, sometimes people say "jie" because the other person may feel like she's too old on the term "da jie"...I heard Vic call Barbie "da jie" on the KangXi interview though...

Well I guess, Vic calling Barbie his "da jie" or "jie" whatever it is. is his term of endearment and not necessarily it's true meaning. He said it in KangXi that "da jie" or "jie" has a special meaning to him.

I feel the same way too. I've seen meteor garden and liked jerry with barbie then i got to watch mars for curiousity just because vic & bie used to be in meteor garden and didn't end up as a couple there but in mars they've been teamed up, so i wondered how it'll go this time then i found their website, got to know what's going on with them in reel and real life and i find it so sweet that they're really a couple. They seemed to have found true love in each other and i wish them the best. I always pray that they'll get married soon because i think they deserve each other. I'm so happy for them eventhough i don't understand chinese.

They are undeniably a very attractive pair....both have talents and kind heart. That's probably why they are so appealing to ppl. When I watched mg back in those days...my heart went for Lei's...heartbroken that san chai and lei couldn't be together. Of course I've gone ecstatic when I heard of mars. It's truly one perfect series, I think what really made mars a sucessful series other than the story line is the chemistry btw the main characters. It so natural and comfortable....it convince audience that the couple are in love. Of course their real love story touched everyone....watching them from being friends, to close friend, to siblings, to soul mate now to lovers over past the few years gave me an overwhelming feeling. It's funny, alot of my friends don't understand why i love them so much but if you truly understand and to know them more you'll find yourself loving them more and more. At the end of the day, I proud to be a vb fan

I never really supported the DMS-SC relationship, from the very beginning, I've always been a Lei-SC fan! I was so disappointed and pissed off that they didn't end up in part 2 so when I learnt that Vic and Barbie were paired up in Mars, I went hysterical! I was so eager to watch it and went out hunting for it in the stores! I went to so many stores that it's virtually impossible for me to count! It was sold out in most of the places I went to and had to wait 2 weeks for the re-stock, but I was too eager to wait! Luckily there was one store which only had 2 more copies of it left, I paid a fortune for it but I didn't care! All I cared about was getting my hands on it! And it was totally worth it! It's my fav drama of all-time!
It wasn't MG that made me TRULY fall in love with this couple in the first place, it was Mars! of course I love that special bond between Lei and SC, but it was that undeniable strong chemistry between Ling and Qi Luo that truly swept me of my feet!



I guess if u put it that way, maybe it does have a special meaning to it...even though Vic simply said he's just used to calling her that, since they were god siblings in the past.



It doesn't really matter....it was just a fun poll, no biggie Vic will always be no.1 in our hearts! and that is what REALLY matters!

It's been a while since I posted here and heard a lot about Barbie & Vic's relationship.
I like them both but not as a couple because Im a fanatic of Daomingsi-Shancai loveteam so got so shocked and disappointed that Vic & Barbie are an item already

I think Jerry is unique and special in his own way, but I do, however, support Vic and Shancai more. I agree with what dark'L'angel said. When I watched MG, I was like..hm..Lei should have ended up with Shancai because their chemistry was better and at some point Lei was just too dreamy!

And yes, I did fall in love them as a real life and on screen couple after Mars too. QuiLuo portrayed her character real well for someone like Ling. Ling on the other hand was played by Vic who also did a SUPER job! Not to mention, all the love scenes and kiss scenes were JUST YUMMY!

Do you gals have any news about VicBie lately? I mean their activities together.. Not related to the job. I miss seeing them

I don't see anything wrong with friends that falls in love.. actually I think it was part of the process. They met each other, each of them had a life and a love life, their work put them together and they find out they understood each other in a deep way. The others F3 and Vic and Barbie always said they shared a secret lenguage, they could finish each other sentences and laugh together while the others didn't have a clue.
They supported each other through hard times and eventually they understood it wasn't just friendship..
I think it's a very solid kind of relationship, the place that a person has in your life grows more and more each day, and one day that person become the only one you can and want to see with you in your future.

During the "Meet the Fans" event in Shibuya, Tokyo last August 24th, a fan asked VIC what place he loved most to take BARBIE. And VIC in all honesty revealed that he loved most to take BARBIE at his own home where they could spend their leisure time together, watching TV or open-up a conversation. Since both are intelligent and good conversationalist, quite sure they have so many things to talk about. VIC and BARBIE are self-confessed homebodies and would love to stay home rather than hanging around. Most probably I guess that's where and how they are spending their leisure time together momentarily away from the prying eyes of the public especially the media.

Actually, I'm questioned too. I love Vic a lot, A LOT! He's my favorite in the Taiwan industry, but I do not know if Barbie's love to him is honest because she just seems too outgoing.
