"Silk" was filmed before they started going out. Barbie's hair in "Silk" was her straight, black hair. it wasnt until after filming "Silk" that Vic and Barbie started to go out...

Barbie turns 30, HsuMaMa: Still cannot get married
Yesterday was Barbie's 30th birthday, and concidently, it was the Mid-Autum Festival as well. To get rid of the papparazzi, XiaoS and husband Mike sped away in their car, acting out a quite dangerous scene. Neighbour Makiyo and boyfriend Milton also came to liven up the atmosphere. Racecar driver ZaiZai just stayed and accompanied girlfriend DaS.

Last year for Barbie's birthday, ZaiZai went to the Hsu's house on the night of the 5th, at 11:55pm surprising Barbie. This year ZaiZai has a new idea; after the filming in HK, ZaiZai flew back to Taiwan. Asides from going to school and catching up on his studies, ZaiZai went to the Hsu's house almost everyday to report back to DaS.

Yesterday, the first thing HsuMaMa did was read the newspaper. She laughingly says: "It's my homework. Last night we went for grandma's for a get-together dinner, nothing special about the birthday. XiYuan(Barbie) doesnt like to celebrate her birthday, and doesnt allow us to talk about it in public. I always say that her birthday, it's me that should be star, you should thank me!" After saying that, she also added: "You guys better not come and take pictures, DaS hates that."

Around 4:30 HsuMaMa left the house, and met up with Makiyo, her boyfriend Milton, and Makiyo's mom by chance. Makiyo and her boyfriend were really sweet and close, locking their ten fingers together.

When night came, around 6:30, a black car pulled up at the Hsu's house, and the security guard told the reporters: "It's DaJie's husband, dont take pictures." Not long after, the car was pulling out, and in the drivers seat was Mike, with XiaoS. Because the speed of the car was too fast, the reporters tried to chase but couldnt catch up. No one knows if ZaiZai and Barbie with also present in the car because it was impossible to tell.

Around 8, the reporters get through to HsuMaMa. She replied: "AiYo, it's Mid-Autumn, you guys shuld go home and reunite with your family too. We are at grandma's, and plus DaS doesnt like to celebrate, so theres nothing special." For the past 2 days, the reporters havent seen ZaiZai in the cars or at the Hsu's place, is something wrong? HsuMaMa answers: "No, they are well, nothing is wrong."

As for getting married, HsuMaMa explains: "No hurry, our contract is a contract, we cant marry whenever we want." All the Hsu's sisters have their other-halves to spend Mid-Autumn with, they entire family is very happy and content.

Basically, I think the articles said that Vic came back from HK to celebrate Barbie's birthday.
Also, some of the articles (that I've read) speculated that Vic could have proposed to Barbie as a special birthday gift.
However, HsuMama said that it's impossible this year for marriage.
And when the reporters asked Barbie if Vic had proposed to her, she said "No." but was all smiles.

Vic and Barbie went with Grandma Hsu and Barbie's older sister and brother-in-law to a western restaurant for dinner.

It is just media speculation...

We don't know for sure and the main importance is that there's no confirmation from Vic or Barbie.

She didn't change her hairstyle yet.

I know this because at the beginning press con for Silk, Barbie told the reporters she just wanted to answer questions related to the movie and no personal questions (e.g. Her break-up).

Barbie dated Vic after the filming of Silk.
Or else the reporters (at the pre-production press con) would for sure have hounded Barbie about DaZai Lian (which didn't occur yet).

Man! I hate it whenever some sources report news differently to others! It just makes things all the more confusing!

Anyway, glad Barbie had a wonderful b'day! I was kinda surprised when I read the above article describing the day it was yesterday...I thought the whole gang would be celebrating Barbie's b'day and the mid-autumn festival together, but instead, they all spent the night in their own way.
Unlike last year, there was a small party held to celebrate Barbie's b'day, and some of her close friends were present (including Vic...for a brief few minutes)...but this year it seems like Barbie is just about fed up with her b'day and only spent the night with Vic
it is said that once u grow older (especially women) u tend to want ur life to be "simplier" without having to celebrate ur b'day...I guess it's probably because of dread

Doesnt mind her screen time in "Silk" is short

In the movie, DaS only have 8 minutes of screen time from beginning to end. When she accepted the movie, she already knew that her screen time was limited. "I just thought of the fact that i get to cooperate with my favoutire actors, nothing more."

Although her screen time is very little, in the movie she has to speak Japanese, showing that her language ability is quite good. "It was a challenge for me. I wanted to see if i could speak Japanese and English well, so i spent a lot of time on it. When i got the script, i asked my Japanese friends to teach me the proper way of pronouncing the words, and then i'd memorize it for the filming. There was a long phrase, but JiangKouYang thought that it wasnt that well, so we changed the phrase to something else."

This was infact DaS's biggest problem. In the beginning, she was very worried about it, and when it was finished filming, she was wondering if it turned out okay.

About her "intense" scene with JiangKouYang being cut, DaS was very unhappy but at the same time very relieved. "I has prepared myself for this scene beforehand because the script wasnt very detailed. Because of that, we held many meetings and we all prepared for the scene and in the end, it was finished in 2 shots. When it was aired in Cannes, it turned out better then i thought because we were both very natural. When i was told that it was going to be cut, i was hurt at first, but relieved too because now it wont be as awkward.

When asked if ZaiZai was present at the filming of that scene to supervise, DaS cutely said "We werent even going out yet!"

In the movie DaS changes into a dead corpse, and DaS says that the look isnt scary enough, hoping that there should have been some eyes falling out as well.

"It was my first time in a Taiwan movie so i am considered a newbie, and i get to go to Cannes with very many international stars, it was very exciting. There were many people there, making me feel like i was very small.

At the festival, many directors waved at her, and DaS says that she is now focused on dramas, but if a good script and director comes along, she will consider it.

When talking about JiangKouYang, DaS says that she praises him a lot. "Ive seen his "White Tower" many many times. When i first found out that i will be working with him i was very nervous, but he was very natural on set, he knew what he needed to do so he lead me into my character as well; he is very professional."

Barbie's 30th birthday this years falls on Mid-Autumn festival, and ZaiZai pushed back all his work so he can be with his girlfriend to celebrate both events. It was said that ZaiZai had planned out a "propsal" for her big birthday surprise this year, but Barbie denied. HsuMaMa also adds: "Cannot get married this year!"

Those are just the views of Makiyo's mother...everyone else seems to approve (at least, Xu mama approves as long as it's not this year) So I don't think the words of Makiyo's mother would make any impact on the couple's decisions

Makiyo's mother opinion would definitely won't have any impact, our lovely couple do things according to their feeling...if they feel the time is right then they'll tie the knot. Barbie has said in an imag nterview (which will be out soon) in regard with their relationship..she clearly said, "there's a bright future together ahead of them". So there's definitely plan but as to when? My wild guess will be next year.

Though the most exciting thing for me today is that we finally get to see our couple again. So sweet of them, did you see the big beam on Barbie's face? So bright, display of a happy woman in the arms of her man. Don't you think Vic seems really manly around barbie.....you can't even tell there's an age gap btw them. They surely are made for each other.

Why do I have this feelings that there is more than meets the eye. Could it be that VIC AND BARBIE are already 'secretly married' and getting married (perhaps next year) will just be a matter of conformity. Notice how Vic oftenly addressed Barbie as his 'other half' which categorize a wife. And the recent article which quoted MAMA HSU as saying, "All the Hsu's sisters have their 'other halves' to spend Mid-Autumn with, the entire family is very happy and content."

Just recently, BARBIE was asked about VIC and their future together and the words she used to answer the question was " A BRIGHT PROSPECT AHEAD OF US " which to me connotes surety and certainty as to their real status.

Have notice too, Vic and Barbie owns a number of 'identical rings." We sometimes see them wearing it on their middle finger or on their left ring finger, maybe like what LINDA has pointed out, to dispel rumours of being engaged or married. But the fact remains, they often wear it on their left ring finger which signifies 'married'.

If ever they are denying their real status or anything about their marriage, one thing is sure, it's for some good reason.

Of course, my perception could be wrong. But in all honesty, I'm hoping what my instinct tells me is all true. Like I used to tell, Vic and Barbie's kind of love percieves no impossibilities.

Vic and Barbie have never held a conference confirming that they are together.
They don't need to do that. It's their personal lives for heaven's sake.
However, when reporters have asked them, they have responded and unofficially confirmed their relationship.

Zaizai (Picture 1) yesterday accompanied DaS on her 30th birthday to window-shop. The two took a stroll in the afternoon, from first the floor to three of the buildings, and immersed only in each other.

Aside from looking at own female attire,the picture looks like she's helping him find a suitable men's clothing in the brand Paul Smith special cabinet. DaS takes clothes to let Zaizai try on (picture two). Zaizai pulls her hand from time to time,and is hugging her waist from time to time.

Well Linda, their relationship weren't official until after autumn festival (the time vic has his second car accident). The making of barbie's essence was during the time that vic was still in china filming silence...as you know at that time there's only speculation about their relationship, nothing was set in concrete. But anyway, because it's a pictorial book about herself...it most likely she won't mention Vic even if their relationship was official...with this relationship her attitude are protective and conservative way..so she won't reveal too much about the relationship unless being asked about it. Even so, she don't give much away too.
