This story is centered around the lives of people working for and against the success of the 30-year old Seoul Hotel. After the beloved president of the hotel suddenly dies, the hotel management must struggle not only to survive day-to-day problems, but to thwart the aggressive takeover attempt by a rival. Dong-hyuk is the high-priced, arrogant attorney/corporate raider brought in to mastermind the takeover of the hotel. Jin-young is a devoted manager of Seoul Hotel who struggles to keep the hotel intact, and becomes the love interest of the attorney

I personally think that Hotelier is the Best Bae Yong Joon movie. He looks very executive n way so cool here. Plus, we get to see Yong Joon's hot body when he swim. I am so much in love with him here.

From those who lives in Philippines, will this be series be aired soon in February by GMA-7

yea, I also think that this series was Bae Yong Joon's best. and this series seems happier than most Korean series, which is good. and the ending was actually okay!

this series was no.1 in yesasia for vcd or dvd section because they just released a new version with english subtitle...for foreigner...maybe bcoz an increse demand especially from Japan ....after winter sonata fever in japan maybe after that was hotelier fever...

Snowrose, if u like Bae Yong Joon in here, u should see his latest movie "Untold Scandal" he looks even hotter n sexier. I just watch it this Sat, there is a part which he actually play hmmm without clothes n doing some making love scenes. ( I don't mean to be porn here, but it's a fact). Extremely brave for rather classic guy like BYJ. I get hairbump watching it.

did you all know that the role BYJ played as Shin Dong Hyuk is really exist actually.....he(byj) just meet him face to face to know what kind of person he is in real life...and BYJ said the real shin dong hyuk more fierce than in drama...the real SDH is one of the top MAA in korea...so that's why you will watch BYJ played as a bad and straight person in hotelier...

This is probably the most merry korean series that I have watched so far. It's probably the only one with a really happy ending that I could think of. This is also the series that finally got me hooked to korean series. I coudn't stand Korean series in the beginning(too depressing). I defintely recommend it to any1 who can't stand anymore tragic korean endings.

Bae yong joon's hair style made him look kinda cute like that.

Yep, this is his best. He looks so good in this comparing to true to love which he looks chubby and no muscle in his body. Love hotelier for its good ending too.

hmm, just the concept of the young girl going after the manager, who's quite old for her?...i don't know...hehe...

I like the film but the theme song really piss me off. At the end of the series, i really can't stand it.
Frank is really cool in the film. I prefer him in this film than in Endless Love II. That what we call it in France, but I think is Winter Sonata.

I like this drama too! I'd recommend it for anyone to watch. I also love the scene where Song Yun Ah fell in the swimming pool...kinda funny.

I actually bought this from YesAsia and have watched half of the series (first 10)
even tho each episode is an hour long its still ok...the only thing I dont like
about it is Dong Hyuk, Manager Oh, and that other Manger lady that likes Han Tai Jun...they get on my nerves...especially Bae Young character Dong Hyuk...its true what he says...hes always the winner...the only characters I like is Han Tai Jun, Manager Seo, Yoon Hee and the other kid that likes Yoon Hee...now gotta watch the other 10 episodes(10 hours) of the rest and see what happens

This is one of the series with a good ending, enjoy watching it

the storyline it not bad but its not really that good either...its more like a so so drama i reckon...i don't really like bao yong jun's image here i prefer his winter sonata look...hehe

i enjoyed watching this drama, esp since BYY is in it! what a hottie. quoting from another member, "so many hotties, so little time"!!!! BY just looked soo dang good in suits! I watched Winter Sonata first, fell in love, and got to see him again in this later. Totally recommend to all folks. It's got some romance, some comedy and a very decent plot as well!! I like the comic aspects of this one, esp the male & female managers. they were a hoot.

lol i think this is the best korean series! Funny cos i bought the dvd last xmas in hk wen it just came out but was in mandarin, i can only understand 3/4 of mando so i found this series boring at first altho the ads in hk were sooo good. But now like a yr later i actually started watching it cos i hav been bored and now im like HOOKed but i rlly want to find a canto version... I cant find ne wher to dl it or buy it >.<

I came to know more abt the behind the scenes of hotel...really interesting drama n the cast is great

when i first watched this drama, i didn't like Bae Yong Jun because he was the lawyer who was trying to take away the hotel from people who had worked their entire lives in the hotel. i was also hoping that the disgraced manager and the other manager would have gotten together.

however, after i watched it the second time, i thought that the lawyer and the girl manager made a very cute couple; i really like her personality, and i admit it, bae yong jun is pretty hot

this is a good series not to be missed... though baw yong jun is not as hot and popular as now, but i believe that his character in this drama is much better than any of his series. he's a bad/good guy in this drama who truly love his gal but yet when come to serious business, he's one ruthless businessman..

but when choose between love and success, he has chosen love and forsake his career... this kind of sacrifices will definitely melt the hearts of many female fans... i am not spare of it too.

Hotelier is the second Korean series I watch and I fell in love with this!! Its so good. I've watch it so many times, I lost track.

Bae Yong Jun is just great in this series.

I love Hotelier. It was the first korean drama i watched and the one that got me hooked on both BYJ & korean dramas in general. I loved the pairing of BYJ with SYA, they made such a sweet couple. Can't wait to get it on DVD!

Bae Yong Jun was really cool in this series... the time when he gave the roses to Song Hae Gyo.... bae yong jun looks really handsome while he came out of the car....quite nice to watch...and recommended...

Hotelier is really a very well done drama,isn't it?I like the fast pace and the posh feel of the drama,the way they show the work of the hoteliers is also very good.I feel disappointed when I watch dramas which say that they are talking about a certain profession but then they don't do much about it and this drama has a lot of aspects of being a hotelier.I also like that the story brings in a MAA specialist and not just focus about how they clean the rooms.Most of the cast in the drama is good including the supporting.But I feel that Kim Seung Woo is rather overshadowed in the drama and Song Hae Gyo is rather annoying here.

yeah this series is kinda touching in a way because the workers in the hotel are like family and Bae Yong Joon does look kinda like the older asian version of Harry potter......accept he forgot to draw a scar on the forehead....LOL.....

I thought the series was pretty good. I liked the fact that korean dramas dont have to be sad stories dont reall have to cry.

i really liked this series...the acting and everythin was good....i would definitly recommend this series.....i really liked the ending of it.....Song Hye Gyo did an amazing job in this series...but i still think full hosue was beta!! lol

When I watched this a couple years back, it was my first Korean drama. I still think this is one of the better Kdramas out there in terms of plot. It moved just fast enough and had enough substance without being too sappy. BYJ was also very nice eye candy

You're right. It was song yun ah with Bae Yong Jun. SHK never had any romantic ties to BYJ.

I just finished watching this series and what can I say..? I was equally confused as who to love more towards the end! Han Tae Jun or Frank Shin...

It was only when Frank left Korea that I felt that he was the guy for Manager Suh (I keep forgetting her name!). Gosh. He did so much for her. Gave up a whole lot more than Tae Jun. It was really sticky situation for the girl... Her first love who has now become her best friend or the rich, dashing guy who loves her unconditionally. I am so glad she picked Frank shin in the end.

I especially loved the scene in the (i think) second to the last episode -- when Han Tae Jun was on the other side of the glass in the Hotel just staring at Manager Suh while she was trying to tell him that everything was already set for the event the next day... and then she stopped talking and just stared back at him through the glass. No words were exchanged but the emotions of the characters were so real. Sigh.

And, by the way, BYJ is sooo hot here! To die for!
