shades of truth is really worth watching as it is funny and contains action. chilam and gigi are also so cute together when they come together
i like chilam character in this series. i was hoping he would end up with tavia in the end but i guess not. As for wong hei, he seems like a pretty good actor.

I think it's a pretty good series, got some funny scenes and action at same time. Finished ep 14 and can't wait to watch the rest.

It's not a full comedy. There are a few funny scenes every now and then but then the rest of it is just another one of those serious cop-drama type things.

I agree...chi lam doesn't look that good in this movie...so as wong hei...wong hei tries to play a "player" role but it doesn't really fit him tho.....but i do like gigi..esp. wearing all those short skirts!!!!

yeah, i dont get the low ratings. i mean averaging 25/26? that's not too great at all! >< im enjoying this series. the plot is interesting, and it's funny too. i mean, almost all comments i hear about this are positive. WFH is even doing better. im not saying WFH is a bad series, but im definetly enjoying SOT more. I hope the ratings will rise!

FIRST IMPRESSION
since tav is in it, it's def. a series i'd want to watch. since i saw th other characters, i was even more excited! first of all, jul is a really cute guy imo. gigi is very classy and i don't see enough of her series. i haven't seen much of wh's series either so i was really looking forward to it. when i first saw the clip, it really go tme hooked! just by that 30 seconds or so, i could tell there would be a lot of drama and tension. i could also detect some humor from jul and wh. the cast really interest me. tvb usually have series with a lot of casts, but this time, it's only 4 (well, i'm sure tvb had more series who had 4 major casts, but sot seem to have stood out, imo)

i LOVE his dimples. it's just cute, cute, cute! his hair looked too casual. but the whole "feel" of the series seem to have fitted that, so that was ok. i don't remember seeing jul smile or laugh a lot. but that's what's even cuter! when he cracks a joke, no one laughs, it's usually one of those looks like, "shut up," and jul is really funny when i see those scenes. for instance, when gigi told her mom that jul was part of the gang and was a follower of the big bro, her mom was like "ha?" and when she turned to jul he instantly turned away. gosh, i just love him! his eyes, they really do tell stories

what can i say, i his character in the series is just- amazing! first, i kinna wondered WHY his personality was like that. he's a cop- but at night, he goes and flirt with woman. maybe i'm too judgemental. cops are people, and they should relax two. one's occupation and social life are two differnt things. i find it funny whenever wh says "ooohh" sounds really... something lol it's cute in a way. i really like the bomb scene. maybe it was the script but another reason could be the way wh acted it out. it looked very real- well done. when he touched tavia's hair- his soothing voice, then telling the ohers to go away since he had the bomb. very cool scene. watched it at least 10 times. i remember tav had a k100 interview and she said that other ppl said wh is a cool guy (the real wh, not wh in the series) and i have to agree with that

her first scene was great. the music really fit and i loved her outfit.. it was really "trendy." it gets kinna repetitive to see her always getting the guys and she's the reason why thy're leaving their wife or gf. her personality in the series suited her in the series. the way she dressed and carry herself was very much of the flirty type (look like). it surprised me to see that she's not "those type." i dunno if it's tvb or if it's gigi, but her hair pretty irritates me. she's pretty, but she'd look even prettier if her hair wasn't like that

this drama is quite a good drama...but i don't like they sometime acts acient time n sometime act modern time..wil make tis drama not very interesting to watch...n aso veri confusing...

when i first saw that it was split between modern and ancient i was skeptical about watching, but after watching a couple of eps its turning out to be pretty good. the cast is really well put together, but i agree with those who have said that gigi's hair is a little weird. wong hei is just so funny at times, and julian is so cute in this show. can't wait to see more! 
half modern, half ancient would have been bad.... I'm so happy that they are doing this mostly in modern times with only flashbacks to the ancient times.
Tavia as the real poon gum lin... that would be a good twist, but rather unlikely. I'm up to 14 right now, and that doesn't seem to be possible. for episode 14 when chi lam and gigi very close that time while eating at some road side stalls...does anone know what street is that where there are so many good roadside stalls?
also, does anyone have that particular song which keeps on playing? there is no one singing,,,just music and i think it is very nice and romantic! perfect for that moment where sparks are happening between chilam and gigi!!!

My internet is uber slow and I've been renting it from the local chinese video store. I'm up to episode 12, and so far the series is pretty good. One thing's weird though, I usually don't like Chilam's acting but in this one he's surprisingly effective as the undercover cop. The opposite can be said about Wong Hei who I usually like but in this series he is really annoying.
they use the name infernal affairs and water margin so the story is basically those two story mix together to make a show. when i watch it, it seems like it too the police disguises as a ganster and chi lam and ah hei is those heroes.
I think this show is a comedy and didn't think infernal affairs was a comedy. So, is it a copy of infernal affairs? Well, the undercover cop part is, but other than that, I don't think they copied much. Anyways, I think there were movies/tv shows that talked about undercover cops prior to infernal affairs. So, are all movies about undercover cop copying infernal affairs? I don't think so.
If you like comedy, you should watch this one.

I enjoy this show too. I think the pacing of the story is good with some witty humour. Wonder why it does not received good rating though.

it's really funny... i think it's worth to watch it... chilam is very cute in this serie... gigi is very sexy... wong hei.. ok lah.. after he know his past life... he's very good... tavia is very nice...

This series is very enjoyable!! The cast is also amazing... they all have great chemistry together. Good to see Chi Lam in another series and Gigi is excellent! It has been a while since I've been watching *all* the episodes in a series, without skipping/fast forwarding.

hehe, i don't think that chilam has the ability to look old, he always looks so young in all the shows he's done. i was wonderin y he wasn't asked to sing the main song and instead wong hei sings. i think he would have had a smoother voice. but anyways the song is starting to grow on me.

i think this series is pretty good and all but i can't believe how the ratings are 26 last week which is pretty disapointing although the series wasn't as funny as the beginning but i think it's pretty good. btw the preview of episode 20 is kinda weird i mean everything seems kinda twisted don't you think?

I wouldn't agree that it is at all coping infernal affairs, other than the name though. The story makes so many references to infernal affairs like its a parody of the movie. So I don't see it as copying.

Right now I'm on Episode 19, its getting very interesting. At first I didn't know if this series was going to be good. I just keep watching it and it turn out to be funny and little love story.
