Oh wow...so many appraisals for this movie...I grabbed it a few months back but haven't had the chance to watch it yet! Might watch it soon with my mum she knows more cantonese than i do so she'll keep me up to date with whats happening...such a pain in the butt when u don't understand cantonese fully!

I woud hardly consider this copying idea from IA. Let's look at it this way, the idea of
spying has almost been such an old trick that no one expects any thrill out of it. Not
until Internal Affair makes the twist & turns a bit more watchable, though I personally
think it's still a bit of an old plot trick.

As for ST, overall the series is quite enjoyable and watchable, especially the last few
episodes when Julian and Wong Hei team up to expose the real "spy" among them, and
quite unexpectedly with the cooperation from the bad guys' ex-leader! Though, the
ending is always quite predictable.

This series is very addicting....i finished it in 1 week. Chi lam and Wong Hei were realy good at acting in this one.....except for when Wong Hei acts all gay and goes "YEAH..." to the ladies lol....

One funny scene i'll never forget:

Soon Ball was pretty funnny in one scene when he broked his wrist...his hand was shaking while having dinner with his buddies...but he couldn't even drink tea and went all crazy and told them he didn't want to eat anymore and they all left...ohh man that was a hiliarious scene

This was a very funny show and is definitely worth watching. Too bad it just came out at the worst time (beginning of the year) and had poor ratings. Compare to some of the recent series like Gut of Man this series was way better but yet GOM had much higher ratings cause it aired much later in the year. Despite the low ratings I recommend this series.

Just watch a few episodes. I find the quality is not very good. Also, not a big fan of Chilam.



I totally agree. Wong hei was not very good. In the show, he seems to be lacking something.

I watched this months ago and sad to say, it leaves not much memory in me. I always liked wong hei until i watched this series. He was so not cut for this character. I seriously think he does not have enough charms to act in his character. He cannot play off machoness well enough to have the playboy attitude. Though I liked chilam a lot, nice cast, suits him best. I have to also agree with someone that Gigi hair is amazingly ugly. Dont know why she was known as a fashion icon in that movie. So does not reflect what a fashion icon ought to have.

this serie is the best.. i love julian in this serie.. wong hei is okay.. julian looks so handsome in here.

I really don't like Gigi, ut I must admit that her and Julian had good chemistry together. However, I still prefer him and Charmaine.

LOL I *FINALLY* finished this serial.... I must say I love the chemistry between Chilam & Gigi too, and how she stuck by him was very sweet

i just finished watching this series. i found it very much like "infernal affairs" after watching the infernal affairs, and split second. i didn't find that this series was much different than the other two movies/series. it was good in the beginning and in the middle, and then it got kind of boring towards the end. i must admit that i was a bit surprised at the end when they revealed that both wong hei and chilam was in on it together.

not a personal favorite of gigi lai, but i think she did ok in this series.

overall the movie was only so so. so if you've already seen infernal affairs and or split second. don't bother watching, its pretty much the same story.

didn't mind the series but didn't like the idea of mixing ancient figures into the story. The outfits for the ancient characters look silly to me. Not my type. The main girl (gigi) was pretty to me but man she sure wears a lot of short mini skirts. The relationship seemed screwed up to me. It was so strange to me. Anyone think so?

Yeah, they make a good couple as both of them are about the same height. Can't help but notive that Gigi was taller then Wong Hei, it was funny when they were going out. Love the part where they love each other but had to push each other apart.

Yup, the pairing of these two will sure create some fireworks.

I love the fact that at first Chilam misunderstands and thinks that Gigi is a loose woman because of the way she dresses and is being pursued by a girlfriend's boyfriend (also because of the flashbacks) and then later on he realizes that she is in fact a nice person and is in love with him.

I really liked this series because Chilam is such a good actor and the plot is very interesting with so many twists. Although it is about the police and the triads, it is not very violent and is quite funny. Lastly I think that Gigi is great in this series and she looks and acts like a young women.

I think it's not really copying the story of IA but just got some similarities (some are just meant to make us laugh). If it really counts as copying, I don't think it matters a lot because as long as the modified story is good.

---A BIG SPOILER for those who haven't finished this series---

Hump! I was tricked partly by the name of the series Mo Gan Thou!! Also, it because the actors were so convincing that i really thought that Wong Hei is the traid's undercover!! It's hilarious when they flashback to when Yuen Wah said that he helped Wong Hei to be a police star...then cut, and Wong Hei critisized Yuen Wah's acting!!

Anyone who feel bad or bored at the beginning or in the middle, try to watch till the end because you may regret it. It’s not totally based on or followed Internal Affairs. This is one of my most favourite series !!

It’s great that there is not much violence. Probably this is the best triad and police series in the recent years. The actors and actresses play their roles very well here . Wong Hei is so convincing that I thought he was bad (evil)!! Don’t be tricked by the name of the series (in Cantonese)!!! But because I didn’t have guessed that the guys were setting up a trap for the baddies make it a great series (to me). That’s why I usually don’t try to think about why something happens and just let the story lead me .

ChiLam is adorable and played his character well. Gigi is pretty and fashionable in this series and her character is slightly better than those of her other series I’ve watched. But I dislike her character here- she’s very revengeful. Like, she wanted to torture her father and I was surprised she seduced Dong Chong Chou (Chi Lam) when she was about to marry Lam sir.

Tavia is very cute and simple. Great she ended up with Lam sir (Wong Hei). They made a cute couple in this series ! I like this couple more than Chi Lam and Gigi. I love it when he told her that he felt the pain as his wife in 900 years ago died when he shot ah Sin (Tavia)…so lovely!

I can remember many scenes and parts which are hilarious. Like how Dong Chong Chou make Lam sir remember his past life (throwing the flesh on the floor to make his slip and knock his head, tried to hit his head on the boxing stage, force him to a cold place , etc). In the last episode, Wong Hei made Chi Lam a drink and created a scene as if Chi Lam went back to the past as Mo Chong. Then suddenly Wong Hei’s phone rang! Chi Lam was surprised and asked where is the sound came from!!

hmm...this series was kinda of boring...i was excited to watch it because i was a big fan of tavia....but it was kind of a disappointment....the story wasn't that interesting....but it was funny when chilam and wong he spoke the ancient language to each other in the modern days....lol

i love this series! i'm canadian, a CBC; i saw the first episode of "water margin, internal affairs" on vacation in HK during winter. IT WAS AWESOME. but i left back to canada, so i didn't get to finish it. but LUCKILY my friend had the vcds, so i watched it, and it's my FAVORITE SERIES EVER!!!

i love chilam and tavia. b/c of Chilam, i'm watching a bunch of tvbs.....anywho

i just want to say, that this was an excellent tvb series, worth watching, some points may be boring, but it's funny at some, and great action.

this show as so funny especially when chilam was helping wonghei regain his memory. it was also so funny when chilam was meeting the officier and the location that they meet at. the plot was good and gigi was also very pretty in it.

I'm also love this series too much!!!..Gigi and Chilam's relationship is a kind of good friend. They 're used to work together in a movie..And in this series, they look super cute!!!...

I loved Chilam and Gigi together! I think they made a better couple than Charmaine and Chilam. I've always thought that Charmaine's acting was a bit annoying. But Gigi and Chilam make a really cute couple since they didn't like each other at the beginning.

I thought Chiliam and Tavia will be together since they share the same interests. It is true that Chiliam and Gigi look good together. Gigi didn't like Chiliam in the beginning because she thought he was a bad guy. Chiliam was a secret undercover agent, searching for evidence to capture the bad guys. Their relationship was good.

Gigi's dressing in this series is so nice. I never really fancy her until I seen this series. She did well in this series and hell yeah... she is HOT.

I have to say . . that although practically everyone was annoyed by Gigi in WAB I still liked her and her acting.

But I simply couldn't find ways to like her in this one because she was too damn annoying!!! They really shouldn't make her character one like that, I was feeling bad for Julian at the end to end up really liking her. The chemistry was to little anyway. I often feel that TVB shows don't show enough of how one party or the other falls for each other, only in several do they make it stand out.

Anyways it was still good show, despite the missing love lines. One must watch.

haha... i thought this film was hilarious especially chi lam and really good.... i liked the integrated past and future thing... n you could see their relationship like, slowly anyway... so all in all... great!

i think the characters developed a very interesting but very childish relationship that eventually turned into real feelings. It was nice to see their scenes as it shows what gullable love is and they quiet make the perfect couple.

Julian and Gigi did a pretty good job as a couple. I thought those two have a better chemistry than Wong Hei and Tavia. Overall, I thought this series is pretty good with Julian and Gigi.

Julian was really good in this SOT! I just felt that he should have changed his relationship with Gigi instead thinking so much of the previous life and end up forcing their relationship in the previous life to come true as "Mo Chong" and "Poon Gum Leen".

In Shades of Truth, in the police force when Wong Hei's behavior start to change, his superior sent him to the police department's Psychologist, Psychiatrist, or Therapist. Wong Hei keep looking at this beautiful lady's leg during interview. Anyone know her name? She also act as one of the nurse in the emergency room of Healing Hands III.

watched this series same time ago...forgot most of the storyline... but i remember that it is a rather funny becaues of chilam and wonghei...overall ok .. but i didnt like gigi's role either...no offence

Well, i am not sure why this show is not very welcomed or watsoever, but i can tell you this is one cool series, especially when they pretended to be enemies...

this was one of the most funny satifing series i have ever seen with a happy ending/ and i love all the actors and actreses they were really good in this serie. i hope gigi and julian will be in another series together/ they look so cute together!
