was the main person who made my sassy girl such a big hit
...he was in windstruck as well, but only in the end...he didnt even have any dialogue....

he was SO FUNNY IN my sassy girl. haha... i dont really like any other of his movies. he also models for some stuff. he was one of the tBj models last summer in korea

the only movie i've seen with him in it was MSG. i liked him in that a lot. i didn't even know he sang until very recently. i still haven't heard his sing though.

i don't know why people say that the reason my sassy girl was so big was because of joen-jihyun(did i spell it right?) Persoanlly, i thought that the movie carries so well because of cha tae hyun---it was comedy because of cha tae hyun. Joen-ji, in my opinion, is an average actress who did a mediocre job in my sassy girl---the only fuss on her part in that movie was her looks. Cha tae Hyun captures his role flawlessly hitting every comedic moments and moements with a -out-of-the-park shot. He made the movie was it is now---not joen-hi hyun. The main character was the beloved cha tae hyun who was underlooked in the whole jeon-ji hyun craze--she's too overrated while cha tae hyun was just pushed aside. I storngly believe that cha tae hyun has talent, both as an actor of drama and comedy. I hope he makes more movies judging on his ability as a terrific actor more than who's in the limelight circle at the minute. Go cha tae hyun!

acting. he's a natural. i'm watching prince' first love now, and he is as usual,
very good. whether in comedy or drama, he excels.

I love every movie/drama that he's been in!! Prince First Love was so sad...At first I didn't like his character but he was sooo much better than the other guy!

i just finished watching the series prince' first love. CTH is very
effective as an actor, really !

he may not be dashingly handsome, but he is cute. he has the
staying power to be in show business. am looking forward to
his next projects.

CTH is not a handsome Korean actor but at least he is not butt ugly. His talents makes up for his lack of looks totally. I think he is the guy in the new movie Blue Alert with SHG.

He did perfect acting in My sassy girl . BUt i don't his character in Prince ' s first love . He looked so fat n bossy in that series .
Oh Tae huyn always look good in school uniforms but Hye kyo maybe is too old to be a schoolgirl again even on screen .

He he here is the hottest secene in My sassy girl . Oh no poor Tae Huyn .

I heard that the movie " Sad Movie " is about 4 couples and Shin minah was in it and so was Cha tae hyun too and one of the song Cha tae hun sings it apparently i saw the clip of it.

i saw the mv of his song Dont Let Go of My Hand, a part
of the OST of Sad Movie. He sings very well, his voice is
cool and smooth to listen to.

I love CTH, he's such a wonderful actor and i love his silliness. I fell in love w/ him after watching "Prince's First Love" and even bought his album. I think he's a good singer; he has a good voice for singing ballads, which his album mostly consists of, but my favorite song would have to be "Again to Me".

I can't wait until his new movies "Sad Movie" and "Blue Alert" comes out w/ eng. subs.

My sister have a boyfriend. And he looks like Cha Tae Hyun.

(Seoul=News Wire) November 4, 2005— Starting this coming November 6, for 3 days, <High Seas Warning>¡¯s star couple, Cha Tae-Hyun & Song Hye-Kyo, will go to Cebu, Philippines to shoot an underwater scene. The scene that will be filmed is a playful underwater scene between the two leads, Soo-Ho (CTH) and Soo-Eun (SHK). The scene is a short montage with no dialogue where they confirm their love for each other during a trip to an island. In order to shoot this scene where the two leads are swimming through what seems like an ocean in paradise, the production team scouted numerous locations during pre-production to find the most beautiful diving point before finally deciding on Cebu, Philippines. After finishing filming in Korea, and after a few days rest, the crew departed. The exact location is an island south of Cebu named Bohol. With a depth of 15M, it¡¯s a place where the waters gives off emerald reflections and all the world¡¯s colors seem to be gathered in place of diverse, tropical sea life and coral reefs, painting a picturesque underwater scene that¡¯s truly a heaven¡¯s blessing.

In order to shoot this scene, CTH and SHK were given skin scuba lessons during pre-production. Since the scene is one where the two leads confirm their love for each other, they needed to be able to show happy and carefree images, and hence, they both needed to be very skilled underwater. For the scene, it would be essential that they be in their finest conditions during the 3-day shoot on Bohol. After finishing filming in Korea on October 29, the <High Seas Warning> filming crew, including the two leads, plan to rest fully and regain their finest condition before leaving to shoot the underwater scene.

<High Seas Warning>, which tells of the most beautiful love story between naturally innocent high schooler, ¡°Soo-Ho¡±, and the one that loves him unrequited, beautiful face and heart, ¡°Soo-Eun¡±, will be coming to screens this upcoming winter 2005.

Woot!, I'm gonna get this movie when it comes out. I liked both the actors SHK and CTH. I think CTH was good in My Sassy Girl, along with Jeon Ji-Hyun. His facial expressions and the way he laughed sometimes were hilarious. His songs are good too.

I really liked him in "First Love of a Prince." He's very annoying at first because he's so egotistical and arrogant, but his character grew on me especially when he showed his real feelings toward Yoo-Bin--awwww!! 두 사람은 최근 캐스팅이 확정된 영화 ‘바보’(감독 김정권/ 제작 와이어 투 와이어)에서 바보 승룡과 승룡이 사랑하는 첫사랑 지호를 연기한다. ‘바보’는 ‘동감’, ‘화성으로 간 사나이’를 연출한 김정권 감독의 3번째 영화.

강풀의 동명 인터넷 만화를 원작으로 한 ‘바보’는 어린 시절 한 명쯤 존재했을 법한 27살의 바보 승룡의 이야기를 그리고 있다. ‘바보’는 승룡이 어린 시절부터 순수하게 사랑해온 소녀 지호(하지원)와 승룡의 곁에서 그를 그림자처럼 보호하는 든든한 친구 상수(박희순), 그런 상수를 사랑하는 희영(박그리나)의 삶과 사랑을 아련한 감성으로 그려낼 예정이다.

I met Cha Tae Hyun in 'My Sassy Girl" and i thought he was really cute lol sorri to all his fans here i don't really think he's 'hot' but he's definately really cute and sooo funny hehe. Oh and he's got a really nice smile hehe always makes me smile when looking at him LOL. OMG OMG is he getting married? LOL haven't heard anything bout it.
I watched 'Sad Movie' today and it was good but SIGH as the title as said it's really sad, i was crying and just HAIIIII not good.....

- Tell us about your first meeting up to now when you decided to get married

=We met in high school and she is my first love. She’s the one I’ve mentioned in the past on TV broadcasts and the media. ^^

- How did you date

=We never dated in public but we didn’t particularly try to hide it either. We often went to see movies or go out to eat with other people.

- How did you propose

=I haven’t yet done a special proposal. I’m planning on a splendid one soon. (laughs)

-How do you feel about your upcoming wedding

=It’s hard to believe it. On one hand, I’m very happy and on the other, I’m worried as well. The best thing is that what I wished for is coming true. It’s a big joy for me that what I’ve wished for, for so long, is finally coming true. Honestly, there are things I’m not sure how to do but I’m happily going along with it.

- Times when you felt grateful to your bride, when you felt sorry

=I’m always grateful and always sorry to her. She was always there for me when things weren’t good so that’s even more true. She wasn’t a girlfriend who only said nice things to me, but she would give me honest advice and point things out so that I could work that much better as an actor. So, I’m so very grateful for that, and as far as feeing sorry, I don’t feel like I’ve done much for her as a boyfriend so I’m sorry for that. And also, I’m thankful that she’s waited this long for me, and I’m sorry that I made her wait this long.

- What do you want to say to your bride-to-be

=I hope that we can respect each other and be happy and blessed, and continue to be the good friends we are today. There are sure to be hard times but if we can overcome it together so that we can look back on it one day and say, “Remember when we did that…”, that’s the kind of life I’d like to make. To continue, as we’re doing now, being friends and experiencing many good things together.

- Your idea of love and marriage

=I’ve tried to guess what it’s like but I don’t think I’ve ever experienced it before. I think it’s always unchanging and the two sides have to try hard and work together. And I see marriage as the same. ^^

- What do you want to say to your fans

=I wanted to first tell my fans about my wedding so I personally left them a message. Whether before marriage or after, my feelings about making movies won’t change. I’ll always put forth my best, as if it’s my first project, so please keep watch. I will continue to work hard.

- Plans after marriage

=We want to live an ordinary life. To that person, I’m not actor CTH but just another ordinary man, and because we’ve known each other for so long, we’re very good friends. So, with this kind of mindset, I’d like to live long and happily together and work hard at both my career and marriage.

Prior to the announcement by the agency, Star News talked by phone with CTH’s father, Cha Jae-Wan, who said, “It’s true that a site has been reserved, but because the two kids made their own plans first, it’s not something that can be revealed definitely right now.”

He also repeatedly emphasized that, “Because she’s not an entertainer, I want to careful of what I say.”

Mr. Cha added that, “Because the two were still unmarried, I firmly encouraged them to get married by the end of the year”, adding that “there are still some personal issues to work through first before an exact date will be set.”

Regarding the personal issues, Mr. Cha pointed to the fact that CTH’s older brother is still unmarried and that CTH also has yet to film his movie.

“My oldest son is in the US right now so we’ll arrange everything when he returns home”, and also added, “Because he has an older brother, isn’t it not a good thing for him to go first and mix things up.”

CTH is currently in the middle of preparing for his next movie, The Fool, with Ha Ji-Won. The one that CTH has said is “the only woman I’ve been with up to now and she is my first love” is the same age as CTH and they’ve been together for over 10 years.
