this series was ok the first time i watched it but then it kept on reshowing it and reshowing it soo i got really tired of it

i liked Ada's friend in this show where she got stabbed by Nick but she could still runnaway i remembered that scene the most

This series is worth watching with the strong casts and I think it's grand production too. I enjoyed this series and I think it is intersting about 2/3 of the series, and the last few episodes were kinda dragging, but it's all right. I like Felix Wong in here, he is so cool and cute. Gallen is funny at the beginning but he gets more serious as the series goes on. For the actress, I love Eileen Yeow in this series the most, but too bad she died so soon, love to see the love relationship between her and Gallen.

have to agree with you MiracleHope, i skipped some episodes and just got my sister to tell me what happened. Isn't this the series that got nick cheung famous?

i like this series too.....especially where felix wong folded the cranes for amy. i thought that was sweet...... but it got a bit draggy after they got marry. thats my only favourite part.

this is one of my fav series, but i really enjoyed just watching the sunny, ada and nick parts....such a shame sunny and ada couldn't be together at the the end, i hated that ending.

gallen's and nick's performance are pretty good in this series...
but then again, these 2 actors never fail to impress me..
felix did a great job too..
a great cast....a not too bad storyline..overal...a recommended series..

This series was awesome!!! It was so sad to see ada die at the end doe....that sene i will never forget...where you see all blood scattered on the walls in Nick's house...ahhh!!! If you liked this film then you'll also would like Threshold of an era...similar cast!

this is one of the first tvb series i ever watched and i reaaally like gallen lo's character in here! in the beginning he was so annoying! but he got soo much better throughout the series. i also really liked kathy chow and the whole part with her and the baby was really sad sunny was so naive here the themesongs (sung by gallen lo) were also really good and i really like that song that ada always played to sunny. i think it was called, "hao meng something yun?" i dont remember.

This film is really good, even though it is old, but hey, old films are pretty good =) Too bad kathy chau died... sob sob

This one is fairly enjoyable. Not a classic, but pretty good. One person really stood out among the cast is Amy Kwok. Everyone else range from average to decent. Gallen had better roles in other series, and so did Felix. Nick was just so-so as the villain.

the cast was absolutely superb but I felt kind of bad for Felix when he got blamed for Kathy's death and later have to accept the fact that she loves Gallen. . . .

This was such a classic! All the actors in here could act! I flet so bad for sunny chan though. And Nick cheung..woah he's so evil..he's one of my fav actors. I think the plot was good too. It's kinda fuzzy I watched it years ago.

I loved this series soooo much, particularly Felix's character. I wish he stayed together with Amy in the end, or at least don't make him blind! Gallen is hilarious in here. I don't really like him, but this is his best work yet. He was so natural in here.

I can't stand Sunny's character in here. He is soooo annoying! I think they should have killed his character off, instead of Ada's to please everyone.

Elaine Yeow's character of Apple was also very cute in here. It's a shame TVB didn't promote her more afterwards.

This is the 1st time and most probably the only series or maybe film that i saw Nicky Cheung plays a bad guy. We always sees him as silly and funny guy in other series and show
But Gallen also was great together with Felix. Where Felix was always there to make life harder for Gallen, while Gallen tried to overcome it.
All in it, great series.

Loved this one. It drags in some places, but overall, I thought it was one of the last great series from TVB.
I say one of the last because nowadays, TVB series are too sugar-coated with happy Hollywood endings to take seriously. Secret of the Heart is so hard-edged and no-nonsense that it might even turn some people away. People die in this show... A LOT of people die (one of my friends disliked it because he thought too many people died). You have people being murdered, people who disappear and then we find out several episodes later that the person died (Jessica), people who commit suicide (Gallen's girlfriend), etc.... the list goes on. In fact, only one of the female leads survive.... the rest just got knocked off one by one. Felix becomes blind, and Sunny ends up lonely though rich. The ending isn't all that happy, but I like how TVB just didn't make it hee-haa happy-happy to satisfy people.... (like Golden Faith, where even the "villain" gets to sit in jail with people pitying, sympathizing, and liking him).

You definitely don't find shows with an ending like that nowadays, or that many lead actors who die.

I liked Felix's over-the-top cranky-boss clueless-lover role... and especially when he goes nuts and tries to kill Gallen. I think this was the first in a long time that Gallen got to play the good guy too.

yeah, felix kinda creeped me out in this series. he was trying to act young, but he really wasn't. the younger actors gallen and sunny were much cuter than him. he used to be the heart throb in his shows. i guess this was a way to pass the torch to the next generation.

Somehow, this series kept remind me "The silver tycoon". Why? Super naive Sunny chan with super evil Nick cheung ha!.

Anyway, I enjoy this series a lot though but the storyline is not refreshing enough. Also, lots of "what a heck" part in this series
1. Why Nick had to stay in the hospital like 3 years or whatsoever before he died and told Sunny that Diana's died??? Why don't the scriptwriter just killed him right away. Give him more tragic and meaningful death scene. I see no point here. Why drag the series?
2. After all, Sunny has no feeling for Jessica? I mean, look at his reaction when he knew that Jessica's character died, he' just like shocked, but not sad. They dated for quite sometime but he has no feeling for her?
3. Amy's so annoying. Why don't she just understand that her husband loves her so dearly and his relationship with her sis is just that, well, they are parent of their son. She's supposed to be submissive, understanding, nice girl but well, why can't she forgave her husband (and it's not his guilty at all) and her sis?

Anyway, this series has very excellent cast, from veteran to young actors. I don't like Sunny's character but he's suitable for this naive guy. Nick, again, can prove that he can portray both comedian and evil roles. Cathy chow suits the tragic role so well. Felix provides a great job as usual. And well, Gallen did excellent job here. I think this is the first time I saw him portray, well, good guy in modern series . Quite refreshing for me, after seeing ambition, cold blood warm heart, etc.

However, for this type of series (conflict between big and younger brother), I prefer return to the truth (its ending is just so classic, and well Kwong wah is here) and Looking back into the anger (The story is quite refreshing at that time).

When I first look at the poster again, the only thing that remind me is Nick Cheung had beat Ada to death, but after I watch the theme clip, I kind of remember a few stuff about this series.. It had been more than 7 years since I watch this series so my memories can't really remember this that much. Too bad I was a bit too young to observe anything like this, if only I have another chance to watch it again, but I doubt my mom will re-rent this series again, also I doubt the place I rent have it..

no...Ada is killed by nick cheung. the serial is very nice despite the fact that most casts die which is very disappointing for me. i was hoping sunny will have a happy ending with ada. but........

hmm..this series is pretty old but it's got the best casts~~...it's somethin like a threshold of an era, yeah??...kathy chow is really pretty...she's the sister of amy kwok, right??...and i think both of them fall in love with felix...i remembered that felix went blind in this series..who did felix end up with??...it's so long ago, i can't even remember it~~but it's a pretty good series..

i loved this drama and i like gallen low's character...from very funny guy to a successful man...story line is quite good also...

Yea... watched this show as a rerun in the daytime a while back. It was pretty good, but gotta say that the ending is a bit unexpected. I thought at the time, all series end happily ever after, lol. Anyways, I'd agree with Silencer81, saying that Gallen acted well in this series, though, I think Felix and Amy did an equally admirable job too. Personally, I liked how Amy transformed from a 'little lady' to a competent and capable woman.

It's a good serie and I like Kathy and Felix in here!

This is a good serie. I like all the actors who playing in Secret of Hearts. Especially Gallen Lo, Nick Cheung, Sunny Chan, Felix Wong and Amy Kwok. My opinion.

I really like the whole cast except for woo fung as that guy can not act and is always smiring in every scene that has him in it.

This was such a great series! too bad everyone had to die, the actors/actresses are all sooo goood...

One of my fave series and the theme song is just superb, the one played in the earlier chapters, not the other one. I felt Sunny Chan's character Ga Hung was annoying and dumb. Like he was clueless about everything and wasn't manly

But yeah, Nick was so good as the badass brother, but they were all stupid to believe him for so long!

yeah everyone did well in this series especially gallen, felix, nick and amy.
But i dont like sunny's innocent and not so smart character.

This was a good series, although there were too many maniac-killings towards the end. Geez, I was shocked when the character of Jessica Hsuan got stabbed to death, that really took me by surprise. And then Nick Cheung went crazy and hacked Ada's body into bloody mess, stabbed her friend, killed the mob boss....it was way too much violencefor a drama series like this one. It certainly didn't suit the series too well, and kind of ruined the ending a bit.

I kind of feel Gallen Lo's been under-used in this series, his character really doesn't have much to say for the main storyline, he sure added a lot of comedy scenes which I was impressed of because this was actually the first modern series that I saw Gallen in. Another weird thing is that the first episode of this series starts with Gallen's character, although he's not too important of a character. Hmm, weird to think of it now.

My favourite character is Felix, who I thought did what he had to do, though i didn't like how he handles the Kathy and baby thing. I think he and Kathy should have told Amy, after the wedding, and all three sat down and talked about what to do and clear out all the misunderstood feelings. If so, then Kathy would have never gotten the idea to steal Felix back (she tried but it didn't work) and Amy wouldn't run off. I mean, the situation is not that bad! Its not like they had an affair or something! Everyone knew that they were dating before.

I was a bit angry at Amy for not believing Felix and totally closing down on him, but I do sort of understand where she was coming from. She put all confidence into her previous marriage, but it was all a lie and her husband lied to her and cheated on her. I think that impacted her a lot so the second time round, she jumped to conclusions and shut down to avoid being hurt again.

But another thing I don't like about Amy is that she never cared much for her brother Nick. I know she only just knew him, but she always seemed so distant to him when compared with everyone else.

But I liked Amy's care and sacrificial nature. It was funny how she and Gallen bickered in the beginning. But I liked her and Felix better togther!

However, I disliked Kathy's impulsiveness and lack of respect for other people, and she jumps to conclusions about people before knowing them, like Felix, and messing up his presentation in revenge. Luckily Amy went and fixed it and got yelled at by Felix. But I do feel sorry for her in the end where she died.

I feel so sorry for Felix. He loses so many thing: first girlfriend (Winne Yeung), first company, brother (got Alzheimer's), wife, ex-GF, son, niece (Melissa), nephew (Nick), then his eyes. And then he has to go and beg Gallen to go back with Amy! Imagine how he felt!

But luckily, he does gain a peace of mind and friends. I just wished he had Amy though!

Strangely, I felt Gallen had always loved Eileen (Apple) more than Amy, even though he acted like he didn't care much for Eileen when they were together. I thought he was quite selfish to accept Melissa though he never really loved her and only pitied her. And gosh! I dont' agree when he just switched off the pager! No matter how angry you are, you never switch off your pager because it could be at that exact moment that someone else who can't find anyone to talk to, chooses to take their life!

And I thought he was stupid just to run off in then end cos he felt sorry for Felix! It shows that he doesn't respect Amy at all and thinks quite low of her and Felix to assume she would just fall back into the arms fo Felix! I thought Amy should have just stayed with Gallen! I want her to end up with Felix as well, but i know reliastically, it is not possible! But at least don't accept Gallen back that quickly since he just left withotu a word! Make him wait!

And I do not believe that such an undecisive person as Sunny could head a company! He was annoying at the strat! I thought Chun Pui was sort of old-fashioned and narrow-minded to choose Sunny as his heir because of his parentage, rather than Nick who had a business head and had ambition. After all, he did raise Nick.

just finished watching it, great series and great performance from everyone. Whatever happened to Joyce character?

this was a fantastic series!!!!!!!!! i loved it. the cast was so good too. everyone could act really well. it's a shame how tvb don't make more of these series.

You know in the TVB series "SEcret of the heart" ..... I know this may sonud lame but....i think i really like that one piano composition in the drama...where Ada choi teaches Sunny chan ...a piano piece..... CAN SOMEONE TELL ME THE NAME OF THAT COMPOSITION??? PLZ PLZ PLZ...its so beautiful

i have just watched this series but i reckon sunny's character is too weak and dunno how to describe.. i think this series is good but compared to the rest of those mega productions; it's not there yet ..

strong cast and storyline. tvb these doesn't have it these days. hope they come out with better series than they have now.

Another of my fav old classics! This was the series that made Nick Cheung famous and the first and only time he played a villian, he played it brilliantly and he looked so hot. Definately the best looking male in it!

Hate it when Ada and Jessica have to die and the way they died, totally gut wrenching!

A must see for all, but it will be destressing to watch. You have been warned!!
