Since it's getting closer to the MCI competition, just wondering who's everyone favorites to win this year???

Does anyone think Kate Tsui(HK) have a chance at the crown?

Well, I'm a fan of Kate, unfortunately don't think she'll win, but definitely place either 2nd or 3rd. Seems like this year the average height of contestants are quite tall, this is definitely a disadvantage for Kate. Anyways,

My top 3 predictions:

1)Fala Chen #10 (New York)
2)Kate Tsui #17 (Hong Kong)
3)Leanne Li #15 (Vancouver)

Dark horses:
Annie Chang #3 San Fransico.

definitely fala chen #10... i think she's the best one... kate tsui... ehh i dont like her.. but as always hk always get one of the top 3 spots...

I think that miss new york is the prettiest but i dont know maybe the others are not photogenic so lets wait to see them on tv.

Yeah me too, 10 and i actually have a feeling that Kate may be able to become the winner, eventhough i dont like her! from looking at the rest of the contestants...

Many contestants dont know how to speak cantonese or mandarin, so when it come to the asking question round, and some try to speack cantonese or mandarin but is bad at it, it is realy really hard to tell what they are trying to say. Otherwise most of them just speak english. Which may not be very helpful if you want to join in showbiz business, well you can i guess, but then they'll have to learn cantonese etc.

The contestants this year are all very tall and they all have very high qualities. Many of the contestants are my favourites.

I think the pictures on the TVB MCIP site are just ugly! Think the girls will look different on TV.

Usually they do look a bit more prettier after the contest. Maybe aftering seeing them soo often makes myself think "Hm... I geuss they seem ok."

I've actually changed my mind. I think that Kate Tsui will win miss International.

Also do any of you peepz reckon that year by year the contestants for miss international and miss HK's are becoming much older when entering. Many of them enter, and the average age i would say now is like 24. Previously a couple of years ago they were like 18 - 24. But now the average seem lke 23/24..,

'Dark horses' comes from horse racing when a horse not expected to win actually wins.

In this case, a 'dark horse' in a pageant would mean a contestant that not many people notices or think she has a chance to win but eventually will surprise everyone in the end and take an award.

And I agree with ICEbar that San Fransico can be the dark horse this year.

I think is the prettiest one, but I´m not so sure she is going to win, it depend on how she act that night. Miss hk, Katie is definitely going to be one of the three.

u know to be the champion of hong kong any beauty pageant organise by tvb must fulfill their top 3 criteria:

age 20 plus minus i yr
fluent in cantonese peferable
university graduated

besides hong kong kate tsui and new york fala chen,
i think kuala lumpur jolene chin also stand a great chance to emerge champion or at least runner up because she got the features of ann heung (miss hong kong)
i the pic where she in the traditional costume .

she is fluent in cantonese too.do u all remember how miss chinese international 2003 rachel tan emerge as the fairest among all?

i definiti think miss newyork fala is de most photogenic....her chinese name is funni....no offence or anithing...well i think toronto has a chance...kuala lumpur too and hong kong is probabli gonna be in de top tthree..dats my opinion..me gonna bounce now....weeeeeeeeeeee

i think this year's quality is quite good... i think people have preset opinions in thinking that "previous years quality is always better" and they look at the pictures and go in with that mindset, which is quite unjustified. I think this year, there are quite a few outstanding gals, like New York and Amsterdam (in my opinion), and seeing how different people seem to like different delegates, (Kuala Lumpur, TOronto, Vancouver, HK, SanFran, Calgary, etc.), it shows that the quality isn't rested on one or two contestants.

i have no idea... who have those pic ... post it on... so let see who was the pretty one....

ill have to agree after cing that pic of #10 she is quite hot comepared to the other ones. kate will for sure get a prize but shes okay when shes smiles and in some angles too... #8s okay too cept she puts on too much makeup

i was quite surprised kate tsui wasn't placed..

and leanne was really a dark house-- even though loads of winners come from vancouver-- i didn't really think she stood out at all..
she's not very pretty and she doesn't really speak very good cantonese either..

i think fala should have won..
oh well..maybe its becoz she can't speak cantonese and had to answer in mandarin.
