Richie Ren / Cecilia Cheung / William So

A young hospital patient nick-named Onion (Richie Ren), because he suffers from an abnormal form of disease which causes his tears to run uncontrollably to the point where he is blinded and becomes a mute, develops a close relationship with nurse-trainee, Autumn (Cecilia Cheung). Unable to see or speak since he was eight, Onion goes through life a little differently than most people. He is killed in a car accident and, on his way to Heaven, Onion is granted one wish. His only wish? To see his love for just one more time. He is granted to stay for only five days with the ability to see and hear, but there is one catch - he will have the body of someone else and he cannot mention what had happened.

i miss this alot. i haven't seen it for years....i think it has a great storyline.

I saw it once and I don't have the courage to see it again, afraid that I will cry like crazy once more. ' Very touching movie indeed. Good performances from Cecilia and Richie considering the fact that they were newbies back then.

i just saw it. it's so emotional, guys don't usually cry watching movies, but this one's definately an exeption. one of the sadest movies i've ever seen. the performances from the two main lead are excellent. cecilia cheung plays her role to perfection. her crying scenes...were so real, so natural! it will make you feel so sad for character. the scene where richie ren was reading the diary, eyes turned red as tears slowly drop...the following scene where she began crying to the toy, blurting out her true feelings. wow, every scene is brilliantly crafted...the ending, was very well done! it makes the viewers think...i think if the story continued she might have commited suicide and finally meet him in polaris.

love this movie... it is so gooooooood. simple and meaningful

The greatest love movie of all time. This is my absolute favorite movie. I watched it like thousands of time. It's just so beautiful and heartwarming though it has a sad ending.

do not worry, as i fell victim to this movie as well, seen it 3 times, and cried throughout each one, the main cast celcilia did a fabulous job in this movie, her crying just touched me and my sister over and over, i only have one advice for those new to this movie, PREPARE ALOT OF TISSUES !!!

Anyoen remember this film? i just re-watched it yesterday n i almost cry again blush . the idea of coming back to life is not new but the whole storyline of this movie is just so touching n sentimental. Cecelia Cheung's acting is good there too(not as exagerating as now) n she was SO pretty there! Richie Ren's acting is pretty okay but his character is just so cute. n wut he has done for Cecelia is also very sweet! i love this movie! This movie was simple, clean.
This IS the movie in which i started loving cecilia........ and changed my idea for Richie,,,,,,,, i used to hate him.......... but he did very well in this movie.

I hope that hk movies can be as good as that movie in the future,,,, because.. these days,,,, they are just lame....

The english name for this series is Fly Me to Polaris. Thought the movie was sweet and sad. A very good love story. It one of the best Richie and Cecelia movie I seen. There lots of emotional scenes which can made you cry.

sigh...this is a good 1...i cried like a baby...when the movie ends...i was buried in plies of tissues... hahah

Simple but sweet movie.
