Happy New Year and may 'Sam' and 'Belle' be the first to bring you good news! As well as getting together, they have gained a new family member for the year of the Monkey as they have a 'family photo' taken for Oriental Daily and wish our readers the vitality and cheerfulness of the monkey and Hong Kong to continue growing and rush to the skies.

Francis Ng and Flora Chan are making a 'new start' for their characters in the new year and together with their monkey friend 'Golden Eagle' playing their baby, they are creating a great atmosphere for the Year of the Monkey! As soon as Francis saw Golden, he fell in love with the monkey as he went up and shook hands. After getting to know each other, Francis started the shoot with an understanding of Golden. However during the shoot, Golden was frustrated by all the people and flashing lights and jumped into a lighting frame. The funniest thing was that when Francis and Flora started chatting to each other, Golden would get angry and go away. According to Golden's owner, Mr Chan, it is because Golden thinks that Flora and Francis are talking about him and that makes him angry!

During the New Year season, Francis will be spending the time in Hong Kong mostly resting at home and not going visiting. Francis says: "Even if I wasn't in this industry, it has been many years since I went visiting at the new year because ever since I was young, I didn't like it." As for Flora, she will be going to do some stage appearances in America and also visiting her family: "Wow, it has been ten years since I spent the Chinese New Year with my parents. I remember when I was young I would help my mom at home to make New Year foods and I was very happy. This year when I go back to the US, I will be helping my mom and reliving some memories."

in a article,Ada talks about her best friend FLORA!! [It turns out that the 'son' Ada is talking about is her new puppy 'Mer Mer'. She adds: "Although my godson (Catherine Hung's son) pulls it around like a remote control car, I will still take it to go and see my godson and will give my godson a lucky packet." She then complains that her good friend never gives her lucky packets: "Take Catherine Hung and Flora Chan for instance, they will not give me any lucky packets, saying that we are the same generation.... so annoying!"]

情人節前夕，陳慧珊單人匹馬出席《亂世情天》首映禮，意外見到有不少Fans在場等候，更有熱情Fans向她送上鮮花預祝情人節快樂；反而Flora竟忘記翌日就是情人節，即是說沒有與情人相約啦！她就表示已相約了幾位單身女友食飯。

雖然情人節無情人相伴，但Flora也不著急，她表示已有四年沒有拍拖了，雖則緋聞多多，只是真命天子始終未出現。不過，似乎是「皇帝不急太監急」，她的一眾Fans最想她拍拖；Flora坦言不是沒有異性追求，好像最近她就感覺到有兩位認識已久的男性朋友有意追求，但就因為相識太久，她覺得還是做朋友好些，變成戀人關係後就可能不同了。她不想日後因小問題而影響感情，結果會連朋友都做不成，故她已向對方作出暗示，相信他們也會明白。洪欣也是獨自出席首映禮，她表示男友郭力行在情人節當天要開工，未必可以一起慶祝，不過之前已送了禮物，這是他們之間的第二個情人節。說到二人拍拖已兩年，洪欣覺得感情已趨穩定，男友對其兒子也很好，彼此相處融洽，她最開心是兒子可以接受她身邊的人。郭力行稍後進軍樂壇，洪欣不擔心樂壇是非多，亦相信男友會應付得來。

Yesterday, Flora Chan attended the premiere of the new movie "Cold Mountain" and a group of her fans rushed over to her to give her flowers and wish her a Happy Valentine's Day in advance. She reveals her plans on Valentine's Day are to have dinner with some friends. Asked if there will be any men at the dinner, Flora answers with a smile, "For now, no one has dared to pursue me, but I do feel that someone wants to, of course, at the moment we are just good friends and I treasure this friendship. "

Not having spent Valentine's Day with a lover for 4 years, she feels that it is most important to be happy. She indicates that if she is really dating in the future, she will reveal it openly and definitely will not keep it to herself. Speaking frankly, she says that her fans also care about her affections, hoping she will find a boyfriend soon!

just got back from hk and on tv, i saw Flora in the ads for neutrogena stuff ^^ - dont really like her new hair style though

Umm... Wow, she really left TVB? She was really good in Triumph in the Skies, although Vincent died... (spoiler?)...
But yeah, and she sings good too... I loved the ending theme of Triumph in the Skies too... And she has a pretty distinctive voice..
And her new brownish straight hair style looks good on her!! Hehe

Flora Chan has been working non-stop for nine months last year and at the Chinese New Year, she took a month off to return to her home in the US. After the break she is full of strength and has gained 8 lbs and looking so much prettier with the weight gain. Soon, Flora will be heading out to Beijing to filming the mainland production of "Wong Fei Hung" where she will be playing 'Sap Sam Yee' (13th Aunt). Although many female stars have played this role in the past, Flora's version will be different and very good at Kung Fu. To Flora, this will be a great challenge.

However, for Flora who has no Kung Fu background, in order to make the result look good, she has not only been running to build up her stamina, she has also taken Kung Fu classes. Although she has only been practising for a short time, her performance is already very good. She says: "I have only been doing it for one day! This is the first time I am filming a mainland production and the salary is very satisfactory."

As well as filming in Beijing, Flora will also be heading to Singapore to do an English series. The language barrier is no problem for Flora, but it will still be a challenge and for these two series, she has lost out on the chance to make an ancient drama with TVB. As this is a long time wish for her, she feels a little disappointed that she is unable to fit this into her schedule. She says: "I will be heading out to Singapore on 1st March for the English show. I have not done a drama in English before, so it will be quite a challenge. I will be flying between Singapore and Beijing all the time and will be quite busy."

ughh . flora did not leave tvb !!! at some point before ppl thought she did but she re-signed .. tvb jus giving her time off .. but she's still with tvb
