I used to be neutral with her and I actually found her cute before her huge makeover. Her heavy makup and 'sexy' image is too much. Now, I just think that she's a copycat of Ayumi Hamasaki. As for her singing, nothing too spectacular, it was Jay who brought her singing career alive back.

I don't like JOlin since the beginning I know Jay. I think Jay is a good person and he should NOT go for Jolin. When the first time Jay and Jolin met, she think she;s all that..since taht time Jay was a little ghetto..because He's a shy person and don't talk too much...There uses to be rumor about them dating..So I have no clue..But now, since Jay and Patty are dating, and Jolin has a new b0ook out....and her english are so bad. I swear..It don't even make sense...My friend broought it one and she regret it so much. jolin is very cute and a great singer. i haven't read her book but i think you should check your post for grammar errors before you start slamming jolin's english.

I have listened to two of her albums. I 4 songs out of each of the albums. I don't understand Mandarin, but I still like the songs. Although I don't like most Mandarin music, I still liked some of Jolin's. I think Mandarin is such a rough language.

Everyone is saying that they don't like Jolin of who she is. So I guess everyone can agree that her music is ok, but her personality sux. I've never seen how she is outside the music, but girls are supposed to act girly. I'm pretty sure if you really knew her, you'd be her friend.

I've known her since I was way younger. ,She wasn't famous at all last time. She was like this girl who looked really different. Then when I grew up and saw her again, I see the same name, and I was like, "She's Tsai Yi Ling??!" Man she looked SOOO different!!!!! So obvious she's got a surgery

I highly dislike Jolin and I find her quite overrated.

Yes, she has a few catchy songs, but that does not make her pop princess. And yes, she totally copied Ayumi, I seen articles in some Chinese site comparing her and Ayumi and how she copied Ayumi.

But that is not the main reason why I dislike her, the reason is that her obsession with her weight and her breasts to the point where she goes on a really rough diet, and I forgot what she did with her breasts, gone to a Chinese doctor, perhaps? Anyway, I find that as a bad reflection to her fans and teenagers. You have to admit that a lot of fans do follow what their idol does, and what she does is quite a bad example for her fans.

To be honest, the first time I saw any of her mvs or heard any of her music was when I was in China. I came back a few days ago. And truthfully, I was repelled by her music mv. I don't know what song that was because I don't listen to her music. But the music mv was horrible. I kept staring at her face but I found nothing pretty about it. And I remember thinking, "usually girls like her would be pretty". I won't deny that she looked pretty hot in the mv - if you replaced her face that is.

The mv had her - I don't know - pimpin' ? She had these "slutty" clothes on and dancing sort of dirty. I hated it. So I didn't exactly like her. And the image a person puts on, does say something about their personality.

But who dosen't want fame ? A lot of people would do a lot of things to increase their self image. So before a wideload of you criticize her for the things she does think about why she's doing it. I wouldn't know, but it's probably hard to be a celebrity and take the publicity. So if any of you have been a celebrity, then disregard anything or everything I just said.

As fans and people, it's not wrong to judge a celebrity. People are so critical about judging others these days. So we might as well judge celebrities, right ? Yaw.

Therefore, in my opinion, I don't hate her or like her. Because I don't know who she is. And personally, everyone that says bad things about her, wouldn't be able to say it to her face. And if you met her, you'd probably want to be her friend. Deny it now, but you'll regret it later.

LOL. Saccharine caramel-- I like that. That's the image that I get when I think of Jolin. I think she has nice eyes, nice hair, nice body... but...sheesh-- she plays up her lips WAY too much. It always looks as though she's trying to do that whole movie star sexy pout thing-- but she really can't. And half the time I see her, her lips are always disgustingly chapped. It's one thing to have full lips-- it's another thing to have full, badly moisturized lips. It's actually disgusting.

For her singing-- too sweet. She has an okay voice-- nothing that really wows me away though, so I guess that's why I don't like her very much. I like singers that really HIT you right off the bat with their awesome talent. She also tries to seem to much like a 'doll'. She always has the big eyes and the white skin-- and...she just looks like she's trying to play off of her perfect doll looks.

Her dancing is miserable. It doesn't look like she's putting any emotion or fun into her moves-- it looks like she's just memorizing what her choreographer told her. It's so wooden and stiff.

She's one of the prime examples of why sometimes I hate Asian music. As long as you have really good skin and big round eyes-- you can be a pop star in Asia. That's a ridiculous concept. And I'm surprised that she's even stuck around so long.

Well I don't think she's ugly, but I wouldn't say she's pretty. The best she's gonna get from me is higher than average. I think her face is slightly..blown up though and her singing..in mandarin is okay.

I think her singing is ok but she's not that pretty. She puts so much makeup on and always wear sexy clothes on stage!

She dance pretty good. Very flexible I guess, but her voice can be categorized in an ok only type. not very special (neither is her looks). I don't watch much of her MVs nor Ayumi's so I can't judge whether she copies or not.
