Miriam's Neck Hurt Due to Vigorous Laughing on Minutes to Fame







Miriam hurt her neck during the recording of "Minutes to Fame" because she laughed too vigorously. Even the doctor commented it was quite a ridiculous way to get hurt.

Miriam did an interview at RTHK yesterday and said her neck veins have an infection. The doctor asked her to do more exercise and gave her medicine to apply. She needs at least a one week rest. Other than radio interviews, Miriam had to record for her new album during the night. There's no time for her to rest. The most troublesome thing is that she could not drive her own car.

In the radio program, every guest were to introduce a minority group and Miriam introduced the Manchu. The DJ found a Manchurian maid's head gear for Miriam to wear. Miriam exclaimed, "Wah! Lend it to me, I'll go to Lan Kwai Fong to date Caucasians!" When asked if she'll really do that she replied,"Westerners like these sort of Chinese images. (They like weird-looking Chinese girls) Am I not weird enough with this look?"

Miriam has never dated Westerners. She thinks it's better to be able to communicate in her own language. Normally, she treats her foreign friends with courtesy and never thought about a foreigner trying to pursue her. As for mainlanders, she thinks that as long as she likes the person, she won't gage suitability by countries.

Wow, it's great to hear '化' will be in a Mandarin version as well. I hope her new album will release soon!

Miriam & Eason Films for New Movie







Eason and Miriam's movie "Ah Miu's 10 Years" has changed it's name to "When Changes Come" (tentative English translation) and continued filming yesterday.
Ayumi Hamasaki held her concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum recently. Eason commented his suspicion of her lip-syncing, and resulted in people criticizing him on the internet and wanting to boycott his albums. To avoid kicking up the matter, Eason did not respond to this.

Miriam also went to Ayumi's concert. She felt it was exciting and worth the ticket. Miriam's concert in October will have hot dances as well. After watching Ayumi's singing and dancing at the same time, she felt it was difficult. Hence after filming the movie, Miriam will train her lungs and breathing. When asked if she'll lip-sync, she replied, "Of course not. I already said I'll train up after filming."

Residents complained the production team did not clean up the filming location. Miriam helped to explain, "We haven't finished filming that time so we still have to continue filming. The things left at the location are not rubbish, but props. We will definitely clean up the place after the shoot is complete."

Miriam's new plugged song "Dissolution" or "Changed" was misunderstood by people that it's hinting her wish to retire. Miriam stressed that when she feels bored, she'll retire. Many female stars retire after they get married. When asked if she'll enter the kitchen to cook after she gets married, Miriam said marriage is also another kind of career. However, she's not married to a husband or a mansion, but a wok shovel, because she can't possibly eat "Chaa Siew rice" everyday.

Miriam, Sammy, Anne Heung and Suki Chui went to a mall where "Minutes to Fame" audition was held in Shenzhen yesterday. Although most contestants focused more on singing rather than stunts and tricks, a huge crowd of audience was still attracted. Sammy was the most popular among the artistes.

There was a female contestant who just looked at Miriam and sang "Small City Big Matter" and later asked for her autograph with a CD. Miriam was afraid she'll sign on a pirated CD and inspected the CD.

Another female contestant performed splits and tried to get near Sammy. Sammy was frightened and hit the bell with the excuse of protecting himself and Miriam.

Miriam didn't mind that Sammy had stolen the limelight. She thinks it's normal for him to be noticed as he's the host of the show.

Miriam attended the press conference for a TV show co-produced by RTHK and Committee for Women Affairs. She pre-celebrated Mother's Day with the present mothers. Miriam has already booked seats at a restaurant to have a meal with her mother. She reminded people to book seats early because many places will be fully booked that day. Miriam is also preparing to give her mum jewelery as a gift, but it won't be expensive diamonds because her mum doesn't bear to wear them when Miriam gave her last time. Therefore Miriam rather pick those her mum will usually wear.

Recently Miriam's mum did something which touched her a lot. Miriam's upcoming concert in October was actually booked by her mum. That time Miriam's contract with the old company just ended and there were no production company which could help her apply for slots at the coliseum. Her mum actually went down to the Leisure and Cultural Services Department to queue and apply. She went through some obstacles and finally booked slots for October. Miriam said, "I was filming in China that time but I had already planned my work in advance. I didn't expect that after mentioning to my mum, she hurriedly helped me apply. It really touched me. She really had hard work and tolerance. I'm also learning these strong points of hers."

UNICEF ambassadors Leon Lai, Lang Lang and Miriam attended a welcome party. They used Mandarin to share their feelings of visiting poorer countries. Miriam talked about her visit to Shanxi and was asked by the host to repeat her speech in English one more time. Miriam appeared to be nervous at first. Luckily Miriam was trained by her father usually so she could speak fluent English and did not embarrass herself.

When asked if she was nervous when the host asked her to speak English, she replied it was too sudden but her performance was still okay. When asked if she has ever given a public speech in English, she said it was seldom in entertainment activities but she spoke in English in one fostering event and she had preparations beforehand. This time round was a bit sudden.

Miriam hopes to go to Africa for a visit. She had sent in an application two years ago, but each time she couldn't go due to political situations there. When asked if she will distribute condoms when she goes there, she replied she had distributed them before and it was funny when some people thought it will be safer by using more. Hence she thought of giving a talk, to teach students the correct way of using condoms and preventing infectious diseases. Miriam said, even though the figure of AIDS in Hong Kong did not increase, there are more and more young people being infected. The technology may be advanced nowadays, correct knowledge of AIDS is also needed, especially not to discriminate the patients. Miriam is willing to film a promotional video and even suggested to cooperate with Leon, and hold AIDS lyrics composing competition in schools.

Miriam was filming the music video of "FA". Inside the music video, she's caught in a dilemma between old and new love. The director arranged two tall and handsome Chinese and Japanese male leads. Miriam even had one "bed scene" with the half-naked Japanese actor. The other Chinese guy got to hug Miriam who was wearing a red dress!

The song "FA" is about Miriam not happy with her old lover, hence the Japanese actor had to keep scolding her until he had to push Miriam. But the actor was too gentle and didn't look fierce at all when scolding. The director had to keep shouting cut and ask him to be fiercer! Furthermore, the actor was scolding Miriam in Japanese and Miriam had a hard time acting. She finally asked him to scold fiercely, if not, over-running will hinder the team to get off work and they will definitely kill him. This worked and even the director praised Miriam for being a good help! In another "bed scene", they had to lie on the bed, but playing a couple who had no more feelings for each other. Therefore Miriam joked, "Too disappointing!" The director then immediately replied he will arrange another scene where Miriam can hug the other Chinese actor. However, the actor disappointed Miriam too.

The filming location was in New Territories where there were many little insects. There was a shot where Miriam enters from the door. Suddenly she screamed outside the door as there was a moth about the size of a child's palm. The moth was probably wakened by Miriam's scream and started to fly. The Chinese actor who was standing not far from Miriam began to scream too, and was even louder than Miriam. The frightened Miriam broke into laughter and said, "Women in my house all depend on themselves, now they even have to protect their boyfriends!"

She already filmed a mainland China series awhile ago. She also just finished filming "Hooked on You" with Eason. It was be released in theaters sometime in June!

Miriam + Jill Support Edison After his Conduct Warning

Miriam Yeung, when hearing that Edison Chen has been ordered to be careful about his behavior and fined after kicking a taxi, could not stop laughing. I have recently had dinner with him and he was fine. Maybe because he has been stressed lately after becoming a CEO. Of course, anyone would be angered if they were told to 'eat poo'. Although I would not have used any physical conduct, I would still have been very angry. But I have good self control, I would find some friends to let it out. I definitely would not do it in front of the person that offended me. Edison is a very straight forward person and being a child, he still has to develop his self control. Miriam & Jill Attend UNICEF Event







Miriam attended an opening ceremony of UNICEF's event to promote child care and love at Victoria Park yesterday together with Jill. Miriam had been punished by her father with a cane when she was young. But he stopped doing that after Miriam was in Primary 3 or 4. Miriam thought that parents teaching children is correct but they should not punish them physically too often if not it will affect their growth. Miriam recalled seeing children been beaten up when she was a nurse. She went up to their parents and warned them that she would sue them for doing so. When Miriam becomes a mother in the future, she will never hit her children, but will only use long nagging to deal with them.

The hot-tempered Edison Chen got into a fight with a taxi driver recently. The taxi driver did not press any charges so Edison just paid $1000 fine and has to be careful of his behaviour for a year. Although Miriam is close with Edison, she had not learnt about this. She also thought Edison's behaviour was incorrect but the taxi driver was also at fault for scolding Edison. She thought both sides are at wrong and hoped Edison would take this chance to train his EQ and won't be so rash again when handling things.

Regarding Edison's case, Miriam knows that he owns a company and must be stressful. But she has never seen Edison throwing his temper so perhaps that day he was really in a bad mood. She needs to find out what really happened and said his assistant should brew some cooling herbal tea for him to drink. Miriam thinks Edison is still young and needs social education in other to grow up, but he is already getting more matured.

Some said the taxi driver scolded Edison to "eat poo" which angered Edison. Miriam thinks it's too much. News 14/05/07 - Mother's Day event







Miriam, Vincy Chan and Vivian Lai attended "2007 Outstanding Modern Mum" event as judges yesterday. In order to spend time celebrating Mother's Day with her parents, Miriam had to complete album recording by the previous night. She had given her mum a piano as Mother's Day present, "last night I was recording because I don't want to work today. I want to have a meal with my mum and go shopping with her. The last time I went out with her was buying Chinese New Year stuff, it had been a few months. Luckily I'm living with my parents so at least I get to see them sometimes. I used to be living outside my own, quite pitiful. (Some said the mid-levels apartment you used to live in was a Fengshui house?) I'm not living there now. (You're still paying the rent?)I've let my friend to stay there!"

Regarding the news of Jill's hair loss problem at the previous event, Miriam said, "I didn't see. (Have you had hair loss problem before?) I feel like keeping long hair now, because of October's concert. I want to have long hair. (Do hair extension?) Don't feel like doing so, it's painful. Actually losing hair can be due to nutrition. Some said it's 'ghost shaving hair', that's illogical."

News 15/05/07 - Miriam had dinner with family







After attending an event, Miriam went out with her family to have a meal. Around 8pm, reporters saw Miriam hurrying into a restaurant at have dinner with her parents and grandma. Miriam's laughters can be heard coming from the VIP room.

They left around 10.30pm. When Miriam discovered there were reporters outside, she turned and whispered to her mum and went separate ways with her family, in case the reporters frightened her grandma.

Miriam was in a great mood and said hi to the reporters, "Where are you from? HK Headline? Just having a family dinner tonight." Then she asked the reporter to show her the way to Four Seasons Hotel to get her car. She told the reporter that she had bought a $30000+ piano for her mum as present, "Mum said she wants to learn the piano so I've ordered one for her. Not too expensive, about $30000. Most importantly she likes it."

News 16/05/07 - "Hooked on You" MV premiere







"Hooked on You" held it's music video premiere yesterday. Female lead cum singer Miriam, director Law Wing Cheong, actress Jolie Chan and producer John Chong were present at the premiere. When Miriam hosted the opening ceremony, she got a shock when the confetti suddenly popped.

Miriam talked about the fun incidents that happened during filming. She plays the role of a fish seller with Eason. She went to learn how to kill a fish from the director's relative who also sells fish.

Miriam said Eason took good care of seniors and juniors except for the same generation. Perhaps he's worried they were fighting for a rice bowl. But she praised Eason for getting into the role easily and really look like someone who had sold 10 fishes. The director was very good too and should be nominated at the film awards.

Although the event was held in the afternoon, Miriam's eyes were swollen as eggs. She explained Leon Lai hopes that her album can be release in time during summer, so she had to record songs overnight and dye her hair. She rushed to the even venue right after she woke up. When recording the theme song for "Hooked on You", executive producer Johnnie To asked her to sing with a lot of hopes. And this theme song will be included in her new album because Leon Lai likes this song a lot. The reporter joked that's because the song is during the era when Mr Lai was born in? Miriam smiled but didn't answer, but she said she often sang this classic song during station anniversary so she's already very familiar with it.

Miriam's new album recording has finished halfway. Although she has no say in the production of the new album except for singing, she felt quite free, "I've recorded 6 songs, 4 more to go. There's a variety of song genres. The response of 'FA' on internet is good. I leave all these for Mr Lai to handle. If not I won't be so free. But better don't trouble him recently, he's busy doing 'Fatt Tiu Cheung'(Buddha Jumps Over The Wall)." Miriam showed her imagination again and joked if the new album has good sales figure, she can do a "FA Tiu Cheung", abalone and sharks fin together with the CD.

Sammi Cheng, who's always referred to as Miriam's opponent, released a new song "Mi" recently with lyrics hinting that Miriam doesn't look like her. Miriam doesn't mind about it and praised it's a nice song, "I've heard it and knew the lyrics mentioned me. Chan Siu Kei wrote the lyrics. It's ok, I'm not the only one written. It's an honour to be sang. Humour is not a big deal, quite well-written. I didn't expect the music was composed by Khalil Fong." Regarding the lyrics "Yeung Chin Wah is not like me" is suggesting Miriam is not a copy of Sammi, Miriam thought the lyricist is trying to imply everyone has their own style. The technique is not bad and she doesn't feel anything wrong about it. When asked if she'll have a song as a response to this song, she said, "No, I already have a 'FA'."

Miriam and Sammi Cheng's rumors of fighting for number one in East Asia are still going on. Sammi is holding her concert this Friday but Miriam hasn't been invited to be the guest. Miriam explained she had to go for a Community Chest show, if not she will go to watch the concert, "I'm recording new songs recently and have to go China from promotion. If I don't have work I'll go to the concert. (Does the company arrange for its artistes to go together?) I never heard of this!"

Miriam said she understands the rumors are for filling up spaces in newspaper columns. Usually such news will arise just before the shows open. Readers should take things easy and most importantly is to have a good show. Will this worsen Sammi and her rumors of bad relationship? Miriam answered, "These topics will sure exist. We are adults. Denise Ho was the guest judge for the recent recording of "Minutes to Fame". A 14-year old girl who dressed up as a clown, was eliminated after 30 seconds and she immediately cried on stage. Miriam, Sammy and Denise were shocked. Denise added 10seconds for her as conslolation.









"MTV Vibrate The World Concert" was held in Guangzhou. Miriam was the opening act while Joey Yung did the closing. To open up the China market, Miriam is already preparing her Mandarin album. The songs will be picked by the company and Miriam is just in charge of singing. She denied the rumour of quarreling with Leon Lai about choice of songs, "I won't talk behind others' back. We talk face to face if there's anything. These are just rumours. I'm confident with Mr Lai.(Any arguements?) There won't be. The first plug's response was good. Many people dedicated the song in KTV and download legally. I'm waiting for the share of profits."

Miriam said that Leon is an artiste himself so he will set a starting point for his artistes. Leon is looking for an album producer from Singapore for Miriam. The company and Miriam herself have high expectations for this album. When asked if Leon only dotes on Janice or is equally good to her, Miriam said the company is doing business and won't be just working on one singer. It'll have many singers for the market to chose. If the company just focus on her, she won't be happy either. Anyway, she'll work hard to make this a good album.

Joey Yung is also preparing her Mandarin album. When told Miriam is also fighting for the China market, Joey said many singers hope to release albums in China therefore everyone has to work hard. She won't feel threatened and won't compare with others as long as she did her part well.

News 20/05/07 - "Chefs for Charity" function









"Chefs for Charity" Fund-raising banquet was held at Shatin Race Course. When Janice and Miriam performed, it suddenly rained and Miriam nearly slipped and fall. Luckily the host was able to grab her in time. Miriam was the last to perform and the rain was stopping, but the floor was still wet.

Miriam said her cooking skills were okay but during the cooking process she's sure to fumble a bit. She can use many plates even though she's just making 3 dishes. Her steaming fish can even turn into stone fish. Her friends and family would rather go outside and have steamboat. When asked if any guy has cooked for her before, Miriam admitted it happened 6 or 7 years ago. When asked if the guy was Ronald Cheng, Miriam didn't reply. She said the guy cooked honey spinach noodles but it turned out to be ink green colored. She took one bite and asked the guy why it was like that. Miriam then joked perhaps this is why she's still single until now.

Through this, we know this girl whom I've worked with for years will not be beaten by anything. Regarding her love life, she'll tell you straightaway she's not in a hurry to find the Mr. Right. Paco: Ever since Miriam and Sammy become the hosts for the new season of "Minutes to Fame", other than receiving high ratings of 31 points, they were always seen having a good time with the contestants and laughing non-stop. They even received the title of "Charity Yat Ding" by giving out a lot of money. Didn't expect Miriam to be quite experienced in hosting.

Miriam: I remember when I first entered showbiz; the company arranged Mimi Lo, Eason Chan and I to host "Sunday". In those days, singers don't get to sing immediately when they entered showbiz and had to do other stuff. In the end, I hosted the show for half a year. It was 10 years ago and now I'm really scared when I'm back to hosting. I don't know when to eliminate people and feel like giving out money for TVB, hahaha!

Sammy: I thought it'll be a tough task at first, but I feel it's fun after doing it. It's really quite good to work with Miriam. She's very frank, can talk about anything and I won't feel restrained. When cooperating with other singers, there are some sensitivity; I didn't know what to say and what not to say, but I can talk about anything with Miriam.

Paco: Being a manager, other than to maintain Sammy's status in the DJ industry, I've helped him extend his career like filming movies, commercials and hosting. A pity he said something wrong and had to stop work for two months, that was said to be the lowest point in his life.

Sammy: I know many people put money and career in first place, but during that period, I finally understood family and friends are the most important. Many said last year was my lowest point, but I felt it was the climax because I felt many people helped and cared for me when I was the most unhappy. It's a blessing in disguise. I find the world to be extremely beautiful.

Paco: Miriam took 10 years to build her status in the music scene. She chose to make a big change at this time and fans have accepted her new image and music style. She must have pressure, but changing doesn't mean it's not good. I sincerely wish that she can find her new way.

Miriam: Paco used to give me a lot freedom to produce my albums. I get more involvement in the production. In the new company, I'll only meet to discuss. Leon gave me suggestions. Maybe we are both artistes and we are very subjective. He hopes that I can try his way and I'll just be in charge of performance part. By not knowing things, I felt a bit insecure at first because I used to do everything myself. But when you learn to trust people and maintain your own courage, the results may not be bad. I learned from him not to be too subjective when doing things. To a certain degree I gained surprisingly. For example, if you want me to do something I've never done before, it's a challenge and training of patience to me.

Paco: Since Miriam joined A-Music, people are taking her to compare with Sammi Cheng. The truth is their relation is unlike the rumors for being bad. Miriam has her own views on future "cooperation".

Miriam: If it's for the project's good, I feel there's no problem to cooperate with Sammi in movies or music. But if it's for entertainment value, I don't see the need. Sammi has her own views and attitude. She's hardworking and pays attention to current affairs and trends. She'll take initiative to ask questions. Many movie production people praised her for being diligent. She'll read a lot of books, watch many movies. I think she's a singer with good showmanship. She's considered my senior to some extent. When I first joined Capital Artist, she just left. She had already jumped out of the dancing style image that time. I like to watch her performance. She knows how to do a lot of things herself.

Paco: I admire Miriam's character of daring to love and hate. When I asked how come she hasn't dated anyone, is it because she hasn't found Mr. Right, she'll reply straightaway that she already doesn't pursue the feeling of love, but just hoping for a healthy man.

Miriam: I started thinking about this question when I was 25. Now I'm 33 and I've realized theres no need to think about it. If you like him, he's Mr. Right. If you don't like him, even if he's rich, handsome, successful, he's still wrong. So long as he is a healthy, a mature man with common sense, then I like him. Talent? Haha! I feel everyone has his or her own talent. Theres no need to tell the whole world how talented you are right in the beginning. Life is long, it's more fun to discover slowly. What more fun can there be when you already know everything?

Well, I like her style! It's at least a bit different than those who try to hard to be 'sexy'. Miriam does ever mentioned in one of her interviews not trying to be sexy. And that's why I love her so much! She's doing the things she want..

News 23/05/07 - Response to Sammi Cheng's concert

Miriam did an radio interview with Cha Siu Yan yesterday. She revealed that she was busy going to China for shows recently and hence did not have time to go watch Sammi Cheng's concert. When asked if there'll be gossips if she doesn't go and watch, she answered, "No! If I mind what others say and change my lifestyle, I feel it's pathetic." One of Sammi's costume with leopard print was said to be an imitation. Miriam commented, "I read that news, I think it's just copying animals, the most copying Discovery Channel's animal costume. An artiste's career includes being a discussion topic. So I think our pay cannot be cut.(Is she scared her costumes will be said an imitation?) I have no fixed costumes for my concert, as long as they are pretty. I care more about 'in person prettier than on screen' this line!"

Jan Lamn joked "Storm of East Asia"(Film version of drama "Heart of Greed") should be filmed. Miriam said, "I think should change the title to 'Battle of East Asia', Jan Lamb can be the producer. I have confidence in acting this!" Regarding if she will cooperate with Sammi, Miriam said it depends on what kind of jobs, movies or singing are fine.



Amusic Tops Music King With 16 Awards







The night before, Mainland's 4th Music King Awards Ceremony was held at Jiangmen Stadium. To complete the ceremony quickly and avoid the downpour of rain, awards were given out at the post-celebration party. Each record company brought their artists to attend. Recently working hard behind-the-scene as boss, Leon became a huge winner, along with Vanness Wu with 4 awards each. Leon with his label mates Miriam Yeung, Janice, Jill, Michael Wong, and Charles Ying received a total of 16 awards, beating EEG with 14 awards.

When Jan Lamb was Sammi Cheng's concert guest a couple days ago, he suggested to film East Asia Crisis (similar to TVB's Heart of Greed), with Sammi and Miriam as Dai and Sai Kai respectively. Denise Ho will play Michelle Mai Shuet's role, and Leon will play Moses Chan's role as Tak Tak Dei. Regarding playing as Sai Kai, Miriam did not oppose and said, "Seems OK. Don't talk about crisis when doing business!" (The role requires you to be kicked out?) As an actress, the most important is the role can bring into play. (Boss Peter Lam as Tong Yan Gai?) Have him in position first!" And regarding Jan wanting him to play Tak Tak Dei, Leon immediately smiled and said, "Good friend. Just for laughs, it doesn't matter!"

News 26/05/07 - Cover girl for "Marie Claire"



Miriam is the cover girl for June's issue of Marie Clarie magazine and got Zing to do the make up. Miriam said that in the past, once she got used to a certain pattern she didn't feel like changing. That includes makeup and image. But after she change a company in 2007, she hopes to inject some freshness. Since she's not a "jade girl", occassional suprises can still be accepted by audiences.

Miriam had gone through some struggles in the showbiz. It was words from her mother that enlightened her. Miriam recalled once when she was in the midst of changing companies, and resulted that she didn't get any award in the year hence she didn't feel like attending the awards shows. Miriam's mother taught her a lesson. She said attending awards shows is not for winning the awards but a form of respect for oneself. If Miriam can't even tolerate such situations, how can she handle bigger matters in her life? Miriam thought Teochew women's intellegience are "Ah Q" but it let her achieve happiness, therefore she is also enlightened.

Since Miriam joined East Asia, there are never-ending rumours about her and Sammi Cheng. Miriam thinks if the whole world choose to believe in the truth, there will be peace, but it's a pity people have chosen to think negatively. However, she will handle this properly. She's already 33 and is not afraid of hardship. As long as the company calculates and pays her correctly and she can find a good partner, everything is worth it.

News 25/05/07 - Miriam honoured as Academician and appeared in Sammi's concert

Miriam who was once a nurse was invited to attend Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Faculty of Health and Social Science's 30th Anniversary Dinner. The school presented the title of Honoured Academician to Miriam. Miriam also hosted for the charity auction that night and used $50000 to bid for a volleyball autographed by the China vollyball team.

Miriam said the school only told her they will be giving her something but she didn't expect it to be the Academician title. This fulfilled her parent's wishes and later she could have a chance of wearing the graduation hat.

Recently a senior nurse met a fatal car accident and a fireman who died in a job. Miriam felt uncomfortable hearing this news and hopes the family members won't be too upset. She feels everyone should respect these professionals. If there are related activities in the future that needs her help, she'll definitely support.

News 28/05/07 - Promotion in Guangzhou







Miriam went Guangzhou for a promotional event of a fruit juice brand. Perhaps due to the hot weather, Miriam felt uncomfortable when she arrived Guangzhou and even had stomach upset
yesterday. During the fans session, the host played a segment of Richie Ren expressing his love for Miriam in "Elixir of Love" and asked fans to re-enact the scene to Miriam. One fan ran up to the stage and said the whole chunk of dialogue in Hokkien. Miriam said, "I can only hear him kept going 'Wa Wa'!" Later then she realized "I" was pronounced as "Wa" in Hokkien. Miriam saw that the fan was really passionate and she felt touched.

Later on when Miriam's van arrived at the shopping mall of another event, a big group of fans who had been waiting there, rushed up and surrounded her. Luckily there were over 10 security guards who formed a human wall to separate Miriam and the fans. Miriam sang "Elixir of Love" theme song together with a fan on stage.

Forgoing her job as a nurse, Miriam worked hard since she entered the showbiz. Her 4th personal concert will be held in Hong Kong Coliseum this year October and her new album is expected to release in Summer.

When talked about her concert, Miriam started to worry. She told the reported that her 3rd concert had the most impact on her. That time she had just finished "Elixir of Love" promotion, she woke up one day and found her voice lost. The fear and pressure kept building up but she dare not tell anyone, only feeling the whole world will be gone soon. She shut herself in her room the whole day and cried. When her company found out, they made urgent arrangements. She took a jab at 5pm, even though she was able to sing at 8pm, there were some after effect and she had to rely on medicine to protect her voice. Miriam was very sincere when she talked about this and didn't mind sharing the "dark side" of her. She thinks everyone has their own process in life.

Frank is the first impression that Miriam gives others. When she's asked if she has a best friend, she replied promptly, "My best friend is someone I knew in nursing school." In the showbiz, Miriam always has rumors of being not on good terms with others. To Miriam, showbiz is something uncertain.

As for a friend who can walk through the path in life with her, Miriam said she hasn't met one. Her ideal partner should know how to love his wife, crack some jokes occasionally to let her admire. When someone joked if it doesn't matter to be a bit ugly, Miriam felt it doesn't matter because technology is very advance.

Miriam will be busy with promotion of "Hooked on You" recently. She had been filming comedies but this time round she's playing a down-to-earth fish seller. Her deepest impression in this movie is to kill fishes. She never dared to do this but for the movie she had to learn. She had killed almost a hundred fishes and felt like vomiting at the sight of a fish. Luckily she was able to endure and finish the shoot. To be able to work with Eason Chan, Miriam felt lucky and happy to have a good partner. In the filming, she was driven by Eason and learned a lot from him.






News 30/05/07 - Minutes to Fame Recording







"Minutes to Fame" invited Cheung Tat-Ming as the guest judge and he performed standing on rubber ball while singing. There was a male contestant who cross-dressed in low cut and imitated Anita Mui, singing "Bad Girl" and "Leopard of the Night". Sammy asked asked the contestant to teach Miriam how to have a pushed-up breast effect. Miriam said, "I have to train the breast recently for my concert. But training breast and breast surgery are 2 different things." When Sammy asked Miriam to demonstrate a difficult act performed by the winning contestants, Miriam rejected, "I've yet to get married and have babies."
