Miriam had to bear the pain of gastroenteritis and visited a restaurant with CRHK DJ Leo to encourage customers to eat-in or use thermos containers for take-aways, cutting down on the use of styrofoam. Before they set off, Leo asked for a kiss of Miriam as encouragement.

To reward the customers who were eating in, Miriam and Leo used cutleries as music instruments to perform for them. The restaurant received take-away orders from a bridal gown shop and Miriam became a delivery girl putting the food in thermos containers. When the staff at the shop saw Miriam, they were shocked and thought it was a TV show playing pranks on people. To guarantee the heat preservation with a thermos flask is better than styrofoam boxes, Miriam and Leo accompanied the staff to taste the food and conveyed environmental protection knowledge to them. Miriam said, "It's not embarrassing at all and I felt very happy."

Miriam supports environmental protection a lot. She tries her best to eat in while working, drink from thermos flask instead of paper cups and cut down on using plastic and paper bags when shopping. "Hong Kong people are too used to producing rubbish. Many could be re-used or not used. There was a restaurant which used microwavable containers as take-away boxes. Miriam Yeung: Filming of New Music Video










Miriam's first Amusic album "Meridian" has released. Miriam filmed the music video for "Same Sickness Falls in Love" and presented the look of weak beauty!

Miriam used to play cheerful or strong characters in her movies or music videos mostly, but the director for the MV of "Same Sickness Falls in Love" hoped Miriam could change her strong look and present a kind of weak beauty. Miriam communicated with the director before they started work, hoping to fulfill the director's request as much as possible. This song's lyrics is written by Miriam's old partner Lin Xi, content is about 2 person falling in love and having to tolerate hunger together, is also a form of happiness. Miriam agrees a lot with this view about love.

Although this song is about love, the director did not arrange any handsome male lead in the MV. Miriam had to act with the air because computer effects will be added in the post production. Miriam is holding her concert 12-15 October at Hong Kong Coliseum. A jewellery shop is sponsoring over 10millions of diamonds and there's a rumour that Miriam will be wearing a diamond bra in her concert. Miriam teased herself that she has only a bit of flesh and scared that she'll get exposed. Miriam invited her boss Lin Jianyue up on the stage at her press conference and thanked him for his understanding.

Miriam wore casual top and jeans but her 4 carats diamond earrings, and sponsored 7 carats ring and 10 carats necklace turned her into a shiny Miriam. Miriam will specially fly to Japan to practice dancing, "Boss said I've already done a few concerts, and should have new things for people to see. Hence we'll find Hiro, a member of Japan's dance group EXILE, to choreograph the dance for 'Finally Have to Admit It'. It'll take about 3 days to practice. Many people thought I can't move and feels like a wheel chair, that's why I'll go Japan to practice dancing."

Lin Jianyue hoped that Miriam will not have too many requests, Miriam explained, "Because my requests are not for work, so Boss scolds me. 2000 CRHK Hits Awards, Miriam's "I have nothing, only a word 'bravery' in my heart" has become a classic line over the years. Miriam is going to hold her 4th personal concert titled "All about love". Still as brave as ever, Miriam sets off from love. With her high EQ trained since her days as a nurse, Miriam wants to be a brave and smart woman with integrity in love, career and family life.

Love

In the concert poster, Miriam wears a big glasses and a hand holding a small gem. It symbolizes seeing true love from a blurry sight. This came from creative producer Joey Zhu. Miriam was dizzy when wearing the glasses for her photo shoot, but she also understood the meaning, "Sometimes it's also a good thing to see things unclear and not be too persistent."

Miriam hopes to start from fresh after joining a new company, and found Joey Zhu whom she hasn't worked with before, "He hasn't listened to my songs. After listening almost 80 of my songs, he found they are mostly about love and love is an important thing in life, hence he choose love as the theme. The love cycle presented in the concert includes meeting, courtship, being in love, quarreling, separation and calming down. Joey specializes in using visual effects and will show a surprise in the stage presentation."

Talked about values of love, Miriam has plenty of theories, "Everyones' value is the same, just the form and presentation is different. If too persistent in going for perfection, it's bound to fail. I feel in a relationship, communication and understanding is very important. I hope he will communicate with me well and understand my career, have multi-level thinking, 'can't be bored' and sometimes can decide on things." Miriam doesn't resist relationships that hurts. "Since 28, I have new understanding about love. I think that relationships that are too safe, the couple won't treasure as much. I also think to handle love, you have to learn how to lose. Miriam was the guest host for "RoadShow". Edison Chen and Mark Lui were invited to be interviewed by her. Miriam will not invite any special guests for her concert in October. Edison is in charge of designing the concert souvenirs including T-shirt, glasses, braclet, necklace and hand phone string. Miriam said that this God brother is usually filial to his family members, hence he will not charge too high of a fee by helping his God sister. As the instructor of "Class of Outstanding Youth," Miriam attended the opening ceremony of the teachers plan in order to help teenagers who used to take drugs to return to society. A strange male fan posed as a reporter and sneaked into the venue. When the staff politely asked him to leave, the fan threatened to call 999 and in the end was asked to get out by 3 of the staff members. The fans waited outside the door, but Miriam used another exit and avoided contact with this fan.

The strange male fan had been present in other celebrities' functions. This time he boldy smuggled into the pool of reporters and shouted Miriam's name and Miriam naturally looked to his direction. Miriam's assistant noticed the fan and talked to the staff. When the staff asked him to leave, he took out a paper and claimed he was a reporter, refusing to leave. When mentioned there are artistes in the showbiz that take drugs, Miriam said, "Many news are rumors and don't have real evidence. (Will you ask for evidence?) There's no way. (How will you help these artistes?) If it's true, it may have to do with work pressure. Maybe introduce them into the "Class of Outstanding Youth," but there're too many maybes, it's better not to say too much. (Will you initiate to show care for them?) I'm inside the showbiz too and know to some degree we can't get together as much. Furthermore, we work in different places and won't talk about sensitive issues."

Miriam and Eason Chan attended "Samsung Olympic Torch Bearer" Nomination Press Conference and Opening Ceremony. Miriam in Japan Preparing for her October Concert

Miriam attended a jewelery company's opening ceremony with a bare back deep-V dress. Miriam Flew to Japan for Intensive Dance Training in Preparation for October Concert





Miriam flew to Japan specially for intensive dance and workout training in preparation for her concert next month. Avex's top dance group EXILE was invited to choreography the dance for Miriam's fast track "Finally Have to Admit it". EXILE's lead member Hiro was present to supervise the training.

EXILE's dance instructor Pato instructed Miriam. Even though it's just a few days of training, Miriam felt she has gained a lot.

It was like a challenge to Miriam, "Dancing is considered a new attempt for me. I have started workouts, running and practise singing a few months back. Now coming to Japan to learn dance steps from EXILE's instructor Pato. I find that they are really professional. I was a bit worried at first but under their teaching, I finally finish learning!" Pato praised Miriam for being smart. At the first day, Miriam only used 2 hours to get all the steps of the whole song. He thought she has potential for dancing.

Miriam attended the opening ceremony of a golf course yesterday as the ambassador representing UNICEF to accept a cheque donation.

My instructor has calculated the amount of nutrition I need and hence the menu is different everyday. But I can still share what are some of the food I usually eat nowadays: Boiled chicken, non-oilfried prawn or salmon. But take note every meal can only choose 1 of the above and must be accompanied with vegetables and rice."

Miriam Rehearses for Concert and Reveals Concert Souvenirs





Miriam looked slimmer when she was rehearsing dance for her concert. Other than dancing and practicing singing, she exercised a lot and successfully lost 8-9 pounds of weight. Miriam said her friends like to use abalone and fried chicken to drive her. She knows that she'll have a hard time running if she eats the food, therefor she'll be able to resist them.

During her previous concert, Miriam was busy with other work and resulted in falling sick. Hence this time around she didn't accept any other jobs, just concentrating on rehearsing. She felt like she has went back to her secondary school days, rehearsal and exercise daily, has sufficient 8-9 hours of sleep. She also ate a lot of fruits and vitamins. She must stay healthy and follow her food menu, eat healthy, slim healthy.

Miriam will wear palace costumes in the concert and have a Spanish theme. She has invited Edmond Leung to be the guest for the concert. yeah I just read that Miriam disclosed that it's Louis for all 5 nights, but it was quite a surprise because she never mentioned it before.

Miriam's "All About Love" Concerts -- Kisses Getting Hotter

Saturday night was Miriam Yeung's All About Love concerts' second show. Celebrities in the audience were former Gold Label boss and colleague, Paco Wong and Alex Fong. Eason Chan and wife Hilary Tsui were also present, as audience members watching the show. The concerts continued with planned guests, Edmond Leung and Louis Koo, and an unplanned guest, Eason Chan, showed up on stage.

Louis Koo's appearance continues to be the height of the concerts. With the audience fully aware of what went on the first night, chants of "kiss, kiss" started, making Louis smile. Not shy, the two kissed for a good 3-4 seconds with Miriam kicking her leg back in the process.

When Miriam performed her song 化, she started to cry. She explained that she saw a bunch of her former Gold Label colleagues in the audience and was touched to tears.

Towards the end of the show [after Miriam pointed out that Eason was present] the audience started chanting Eason's name, wanting him to get on stage. With a gap between the stage and the first row [and no way to get on the stage from the first row], Miriam tells her audience "His concerts are coming up, did you guys buy tickets? Don't tell him to come on stage, it's really dangerous." But the audience continued to call for Eason. Not wanting to disappoint, Eason got up from his seat ran down to the first row and jumped 2 meters down to the floor, frightening all the workers and Miriam, before walking up the stairs onto the stage.

Once on stage, Eason joked he didn't know what to give Miriam and pointed out that Mr. Koo already gave her kiss, and with his wife in the audience it would be inappropriate for him to give her a kiss. He continued to joke that he can pretend to trip and accidentally kiss her. Eason says he has been practicing hard on his dancing, so instead of singing he'll dance for the audience. He performed, what he calls, "half of an Aaron Kwok move." Eason then praised that Miriam's dancing has improved and got on his knees to show his admiration. Miriam got on the floor to return the gesture before saying to Eason "you are really troublesome."

HUGE NEWS!! well for Miriam & Daniel fans! Daniel Wu shows up for the 4th night to give Miriam flowers!! Reportedly there was a voice after "Small City Big Matter" that said "All About Love, All About Love" and surprise..Daniel pops up! The flowers covered his face and ppl thought it was Mark cuz it sounded like him, but it was Daniel and the place went nuts! Even Miriam was surprised, she did not know about his appearance!!

Monday was night four of the "All About Love" concerts for Miriam Yeung. Nothing has come easy during these concerts with rumors resurfacing about her and Louis Koo as lovers, rumors saying she started an underground relationship with Ding Ji Guo (��高) 2 months ago and rumors alledging that her costumes are copies. Monday night, she carelessly walked down the stairs and hurt her leg.

Two nights ago, while Miriam was concentrating on her singing a voice suddenly kept saying "All About Love..." Miriam initially thought it was Mark Lui or a crew member who forgot to turn off their microphone, but upon hearing the audience roar she turned around to see Daniel Wu on stage and bursted out "Wow! You scared me!" Daniel Wu apologized that even though they've worked together 3 times he hasn't ever heard her sing. Miriam responds, "It's not a big deal, some of my fans think I only act." Liza Wang also showed her support, staying the entire show and afterwards went backstage to show Miriam her support. Chow Yun Fat and his wife did not show up but showed their support via 10+ big binding crabs. Miriam says that with 1 show remaining she doesn't want break her routine and will eat the big binding crabs during the post-concert celebration.

Towards the end of the show, Miriam carelessly turned her leg and fell down the stairs but with her quick reaction she got up and immediately said "Wow, almost pulled off an Eason Chan. Good thing I'm a female. It is okay to fall down as long as you know how to get back up." With that, the audience erupted into applause. Despite hurting her leg, she continued to sing and didn't show that she was hurt.

"All About Love" Concert - First Show





Miriam Yeung's "All About Love Concert" began the first show and it was a full-house. She sang three fast songs for the opening, showing her dancing and singing skills which she had practiced hard. The show started with her supported by a dancer, with an arrow on her chest and singing a few lines of "Warrior of the New Century", then plucked out the arrow, symbolizing rebirth.

When she sang the second song "Woman of Integrity", a hanging lantern came down and Miriam sang and danced in the lantern. Later, she wore a top hat and suit with "hands", giving a fresh look.

After singing "Small City Big Matter", she said, "What is love? It's something that happened before, just like your experiences and my experiences, memories without an expiry date."

Jan Lamb, Anthony Wong, Stephanie Cheng, Wyman Wong, Lin Xi etc. were watching the show.

Before the show in the evening, Miriam and Edmond attended the praying ceremony. When the fans waiting outside saw her, they shouted, "Good show!". Miriam happily did a bow in ballet style. Miriam's concert theme is about love and she invited Louis Koo to be the male lead during one part. They held hands and danced, just like a loving couple. At the end of the song, they even kissed on stage. Miriam hoped that she could become a femine lady, but couldn't help to talk loudly to her fans in the end. Then she expressed that she'll work hard in being a woman as she felt etitquet is more important than training muscles.

Another guest Edmond Leung appeared in bull-fighter costume and sang "Get Lost" with Miriam. Miriam thanked the two guests especially Louis for making such a big sacrifice. Fans screamed and applauded loudly for Louis again and Miriam commented the fans are obviously biased.

Louis Koo was a guest for all five shows. When asked Miriam if they will have sparks after kissing, she replied that she only focused on memorizing lyrics and if she could relax and enjoy, it'll be good. She also said that her company will give Louis and Edmond some token for their help.

One of Miriam's concert costume is a black dress with a huge diamond necklace. Miriam had to be very careful with her movements while wearing it. She said that the concert producer hope to create a different Miriam Yeung and hence she had been practizing etitquet for months. After she suddenly talked to fans with her rough voice, she immediately switched back to a tender voice, "I forgot I'm wearing diamonds, it's like wearing chains. But I'll try hard to be a woman." Fans praised her for being pretty and attractive, Miriam replied, "I know that too, but I haven't praised myself for years, so there's no reason to do this now."

Miriam said the company will not blame her for forgetting lyrics, but for forgetting to thank the sponsors. However when Miriam saw the word "Next" on the teleprompter, she mistook it and thanked a magazine and later apologised, "Ha, I was reading about Cathy Tsui's baby full-month celebration."

Miriam also thanked Capital Artist, Gold Label and her present boss Leon Lai. Then she suddenly remembered forgetting to thank East Asia. She continued that three years ago was a lesson to her and she couldn't get past a lot of things. But now to be able to hold this concert, it proves that she has cleared her thoughts, "I know those who bought my concert tickets were more worried then buying shares. But I can say that I'm a blue chip and definitely will break through 28,000 points."

After the show, Miriam disclosed that she had lost 12 pounds. She thanked Louis for helping, "He didn't ask me anything and agreed to help. I told him I was looking for a male lead, then he said,'you are opening a concert or shooting a movie?'"

When commented she and Louis kissed for very long, she replied, "A bit long tonight. Initially I thought of cheating position, but the concert crew said there will be many reporters taking photos, so suggested to kiss lightly. Louis didn't have comments."

Miriam couldn't help laughing when looking at Louis, "I still have one more line to sing, but he kissed fast. He rarely perform in presence of so many people. He's faithful and agreed to help me without asking details." HONG KONG, China, 2 November 2007 – Catherine Lee Yuk San, a TV producer with Hong Kong broadcaster TVB Jade, has won this year’s Asia-Pacific Child Rights Award for her documentary, ‘Children Left Behind’.

The programme – which highlights the plight of children in rural China whose parents migrate to the cities in search of work – was selected from more than 50 entries across the region.

“It an honour to get this prize,” said the producer. “It’s very meaningful to me, because as a journalist I have a responsibility to report and share these types of stories with the public.”

Hong Kong Goodwill Ambassador Miriam Yeung, well known singer and actress, presented the award at the annual Turner Ball, a fundraising event for UNICEF. Hosted by CNN’s Richard Quest, this year’s ball capped the annual Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA) convention, a week-long industry gathering of some of Asia’s largest media companies.

‘They live lonely lives’

While researching the extent of rural-to-urban migration in China, Ms. Lee realized that many children were becoming economic orphans as their parents left in search of work.

“They have parents, but they just live on their own,” she explained. “They live very lonely lives. They eat alone, they play alone. Although it is their basic right to have their parent’s love, concern and care, in reality you can see that they live like an orphan. “

‘Children Left Behind’ highlights the plight of children in rural China whose parents migrate to cities in search of work.

The Asia-Pacific Child Rights Award is jointly organized each year by CASBAA and the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, two of the most powerful media industry bodies in the region, and UNICEF.

This is the sixth time the award has been presented, attracting a stronger field of entries each year. “There are more broadcasters making submissions,” said the CEO of CASBAA, Simon Twiston Davies. “The production quality and the insights of the broadcasts has improved year on year.”

Child rights come of age

The Asia-Pacific award goes to the production making the most significant contribution to child rights, and this year it coincides with the coming of age of the most widely ratified child rights treaty.

“The Convention on the Rights of the Child turns 18, and clearly the media has a very important role to play in giving voice to children, and giving voice to their concerns and their issues,” said UNICEF’s Regional Communication Advisor for East Asia and the Pacific, Madeline Eisner.

“This award spotlights so many of the significant issues that touch the lives of children here in Asia,” she added. “For example, issues like child violence, issues of HIV/AIDS or juvenile justice – those are all really important issues that are heartfelt and touch personal lives and are important to tell.”

“There are many, many children, millions of children across Asia, who need our support and the support of the broadcasting industry,” said Mr. Twiston Davies. “We can provide a unique platform for those who are promoting good things for children.”

And with regional broadcasters moving into the ever-expanding space provided by new media, programming on child rights issues is expected to find ever-larger audiences.

Miriam Responds to her Love Triangle Rumors





A bunch of singers attended the rehearsal for TVB's 40th Anniversary Show. When Miriam was asked about her rumors with Real Ding and Louis Koo flying to Japan to pursue her, she said the report was too exaggerated like the script of "Nothing Hill". She only went for a holiday to rest and didn't want to talk too much about it to avoid things getting complicated.

Miriam denied going to Japan with Real Ding and said she went together with a female friend. Miriam felt embarrassed for implicating Louis in this matter and she felt a bit unhappy. Miriam wore a chiffon tube dress at TVB's Anniversary Show and looked like a bride wearing a gown. When being asked if it's to suit her present mood of hoping to get married, Miriam said this dress was already worn in the music video of "Collective Memories" and was altered to wear again for recycling purpose.

She was also being sponsored $1,000,000 worth of jewelery and had 2 security guards to protect her. Miriam said this was just to respect the event. Miriam represented UNICEF and attended an awards ceremony to present "2007 Children's Rights Award" to a TVB's program.

The year end music awards are coming and a lot of rumors have circulated that because Kelly Chen did not renew her contract with TVB, "Asia's Most Popular Female Singer" award will be given to Miriam. Miriam thought that her music has yet to go out to Asia and felt it's more appropreiate for Joey Yung to get the award because she has not released a Mandarin album this year. Miriam will be joining a marathon competition on the 11th and hence she has been running to train her breathe. She'll be running 10km at Tin Shui Wai. Miriam attended Hong Kong Polytechnic University's 70th Anniversary. The university will be assisting the 2008 Beijing Olympics committee in many areas including medical services. Miriam lead a group of students to make their vows for 2008 Beijing Olympics. Hong Kong Chief Executive Officer Donald Tsang was one of the guests present.

Miriam also encouraged students and teenagers to join the medical and nursing line because Hong Kong is in need of them. Miriam thinks it could be that the job requires a lot of physical and mental strength, that's why not many people want to join, or some will give up after one or two years. SARS experience can also be one of the reasons.

To studying medical and nursing courses, Miriam thinks determination and a sense of mission is important. When she was a nurse working in the operation room, she thinks it's very meaningful and can learn many things like how to take care of herself and people around her. Miriam is interested in taking up Chinese medical courses and learning how to take pulses, but she won't have time to go back to school unless she quits her entertainment career. She still has 2 years of contract and the company will scold her if she wants to quit.

Miriam Yeung commented that she has been actively preparing herself for the coming marathon. In addition, she seeked Dodo Cheng, who participates in the marathon every year, for some advice. Miriam Completed the 10KM Marathon





Miriam took part in a 10km marathon and finished in 1 hour 12 minutes and 24 seconds. Right after that, she attended another mountain walking event with Ekin Cheng.

Miriam said that she fell in love with exercise after training for her concert, and hopes to keep exercising. It's her first time participating in a marathon and she's very happy to get a certificate after completion, even happier than getting an award. She hopes to join the 12km run next time.

Miriam said exercising is a way to relieve stress. She denied her stress relating to rumors with Real Ding and said there's already pressure before the concert because performing on stage requires absolutely no mistakes at all. Rumors are very common, it can be handled and hence not so much of a stress. "There's high transparency in an artiste's life. Not only the other half will have pressure, even eating with friends, we have to use the back door. Currently I'm just waiting for the other half to appear, but it requires braveness. I can only control my working career."

Some reports are just like asthma that cannot be cured totally hence Miriam will not reply to them. She just feels bad for disturbing other people. She also think life and fate are like a marathon, to stop halfway or complete the whole journey is uncertain. Miriam Interested in Shooting TVB Drama



TVB artistes alumni held an event and Miriam was invited by Johnnie To to be the performing singer. Miriam was in Hangzhou and rushed to the event venue once she reached Hong Kong airport. Cast of Burning Flame III - Not Yet Confirmed

TVB's classic "Burning Flame" series won in ratings and in feedback. The third installment will be a big production series for 2008 and will be filmed early next year. Wong He will continue the "Fire Fighter's Glory" and take on the number one male lead along side with Kevin Cheng, Steven Ma, and Bosco Wong. Bosco was asked who will be the female lead and his response was, "There will be a surprise."

Who will be the female lead?

TVB always intended on having Maggie Cheung and Flora Chan to film in series again. However, Maggie only wants to take on lighter series and with BFIII being a big production, she is still in consideration. On the other hand, TVB have been persuading Flora to return and film after giving birth. After having a daughter, Flora's interests in taking on series are very slim. Then again, there just might be a possibility of filming the series.

Steven also revealed that after《王子復仇記》he will be working with Sonija Kwok in a series. Sonija Kwok said that she will be anticipating the series because she always wanted to play the role of a fire fighter.

Miriam Yeung also expressed her interests in filming for TVB again. She also revealed that she may take part in BFIII. She will be playing a more comical role that is not required to be in uniform. It will be more some what a relaxing role. Miriam also laughed and explained that Niki Chow might be envious of her because in the series she and Kevin Cheng will be a couple.

In addition, there are reliable sources indicating Esther Kwan will be participating in the third installment as well. She will be working with Wong He again.

Kathy Chow Hoi Mei was supposed to be in the third installment. Kathy turned it down and will be filming a series with Sunny Chan next year.

TVB approached Maggie Cheung, Flora Chan, and Melissa Ng to take part in "Burning Flame III." Either one of them are confirmed for the series. However, Maggie will be getting her work load back and will film for TVB early next year.

Miriam at "World AIDS Day 2007" Activities Opening Ceremony



Miriam attended "World AIDS Day 2007" activities opening ceremony together with other guests to promote aids-fighting message. The wife of Hong Kong Chief Executive presented Miriam with a souvenir.

Miriam expressed that she had cooperated with Red Ribbon Centre for 9 years. Other than filming promotional videos, she will also visit AIDS patients and put the video clips on her blog to share with people. She hopes to visit more patients and do her best to help them. She just attended a talk for the patients and their family members. She knows that the patients have to tolerate physical pain as well as pressure from their families, because some family members find it hard to accept the patients. Therefore this will cause a lot of hurt to some patients and make some feel meaningless to live on. Miriam is very willing to represent the patients to persuade their family members. She feels it'll be easier to talk to them in a relaxed manner.

Miriam Along with Children will go to Brunei




Miriam went to a special school in Lam Tin to attend the press conference for "4 Days Brunei Journey of Dream". Miriam will be going with the children to Brunei from December 5-8.

This is also Miriam's first time going to Brunei. The children have not taken a plane before, hence all of them are very excited. Miriam and the children will visit the Sultan Palace and Brunei's museum. Miriam said she will use her nurse knowledge to take care of the children.

Miriam joked that she hopes she can get to know a Brunei prince there. She knows Brunei people are rich, but she still prefer Hong Kong men. She has not thought of a distant relationship.

It's near year end and the music awards shows will be coming. Many singers will try to make more public appearances during this time, but Miriam is going Brunei. She replied she hasn't thought too much about the awards and over the years she attended the shows like attending parties, and it's the same this year.

Miriam Voted "Daughter-in Law"at RTHK 30TH Press Conference






30th RTHK awards press conference was held and the organizer let the singers vote one another to be the "Gold Song Family" members, including Father-in-law, Mother-in-law, Daugther-in-law, Son, Servant and Sister.

Justin voted Miriam as the Mother-in-law and when the host asked if it's because he thinks Miriam is fierce, he agreed. Miriam then shouted, "What?!". Hins Cheung and Eason Chan thought Miriam would be ideal to be the Daughter-in-law.

In the end, Miriam got the most votes to be the Daughter-in-law who is "money smart, eloquent, and smiley." She was given a baby toy and a milk bottle. Miriam felt that usually Daughter-in-laws will not argue, but she likes to argue a lot. She thought it's good too because it proves she still has a market and can ask her mum to relax. Miriam said Eason is suitable to be either Mother-in-law or Servant as he's always very tidy.

There are rumors that Joey Yung will be the Gold winner for CRHK female singer. Miriam felt that as long as she has one song selected, she's will be able to give an answer to Leon Lai.

Miriam Wins Mandarin Song Award at Sprite Original Music Chart Votes-Pulling Activity

Bandar Seri Begawan - Hong Kong star Miriam Yeung Chin Wah arrived in Brunei Darussalam yesterday evening as the charity ambassador for the Young Blossoms of Hong Kong Red Cross Society to attend a charity event hosted by Goodmiles Sdn Bhd in cooperation with KACA.

Accompanying Miriam Yeung were ten physically disabled children from Hong Kong Red Cross Society and five assistants.

Present to receive them were TC Chun, the managing director of Goodmiles, Cikgu Hj Abdul Alim Hj Othman, the managing director of KACA and Jean Christopher Robles Espinosa, the director of marketing of Brunei Tourism.

Also on hand to greet Miriam Yeung were her local fans.

Held in conjunction of the International Disabled Person Day, the aim of the event was to provide a new atmosphere for the children, making them aware of the environment, giving them the opportunity to explore the other parts of the world that will help them to develop a better self-esteem towards life.

Fifteen KACA children will also get a chance to meet with the Hong Kong delegation today (Thursday).

Miriam Attended Roadshow 2007 Awards Press Conference



Miriam attended "Roadshow 2007 Awards" press conference. Miriam Supports JC Awakening Photo Exhibition

There are many needy children in this world. Some suffer from poverty, hunger, some need a school, as well, but have we ever thought that they are living fully with more pride than us? Is it because they are easily contented, or are we never satisfied?

Early this month, Miriam lead 10 Hong Kong children with disabilities to participate a "4 Day Brunei Journey of Dreams". The 4 days were short, with cloudy weather, but it was full of laughter and moving. Most importantly, is to experience the love in this world, and understand a rich heart is more important than material things.

Miriam has taken part in many charity activities, mainly as an artiste to help the poor living in other countries. But "Brunei Journey of Dreams" is something different, she said, "This is a reverse, bringing a group of Hong Kong children with disabilities to go to Brunei and realize their dream." There were over 20 people in the tour group, other than Miriam's assistants and make-up artist, 6 teaching staff from Red Cross schools were also in the trip. Let's share the happiness in this journey!

Day 1 - Boarding the plane with excitement

5th of December: The plane took off from Hong Kong at 5p.m. There were 10 children with disabilities in the group. Perhaps it was their first time taking a plane and hence were extremely excited. They took many photos and it was full of laughter. We reached Brunei at 8p.m. and took a 20 minute ride to "The Empire Hotel & Country Club". We hurried to our rooms to rest as we were all tired.

Day 2 - Laughters non-stop

6th of December: During breakfast at the hotel, we found out that the adults in the group were not the parents, but teachers from Red Cross schools. They took care of the children just like their parents. Today's journey started from the morning. First to Omagh Ali mosque, then to Brunei State-run Museum, River viillage and other attractions.

We had steamboat for dinner in Bay Scenery Restaurant at the River village. Miriam and the teachers kept putting food into the steamboat. Even if the children said they were already full, Miriam still persuaded them to eat more.

The sun was strong during the day in Brunei, but it will rain in the night. Due to the rain, we were stuck in the restaurant but it didn't affect our mood. The children surrounded Miriam and chatted. There were often big laughters. Miriam made the children very happy and they were as if a family, Miriam was just like their big sister.

Day 3 - True feelings in the rain

7th of December: We visited Sudanese memorial hall and The Mall shopping centre. Crystal palace paradise was the last stop of the trip. When we were watching the musical fountain show, it rained heavily all of a sudden. Most of the children have difficulties moving and needed the teachers' and Miriam's help when getting on the tour coach. Everyone let the children get on the coach first to prevent them from getting drained. In the end, the children got on the bus safely, but the rest were all wet. When we returned to the hotel, the hotel arranged for buggies and seven seater van to send the children back to their rooms in case they catch a cold. The selfless love and care for others was really touching.

Day 4 - Relucatant to part

8th of December: The last day of the trip, the children were reluctant to part and wanted to play a few more days. The teachers prepared little presents to give Miriam and tour guides. Actually there are many charity activities every year, and we always see many singers and artistes touched and cry. But this journey is different as there were no tears, only laughters. As Miriam said, "What they need is our practical support. They are strong and work hard to survive but never felt they are pityful. Since they never cry, why shouldn't we give them more happiness?"

"4 Days Brunei Journey of Dreams" didn't have touching and sensational scenes as visits to poor places. But the 10 children always had bright smiling faces, enjoying the journey without any worries. This simple trip is full of enlightenment in being a contented and happy.

Reporter asked to do a simple interview with the children and asked the teachers if there's any questions to avoid. They replied, "No! (Scared if they will be unhappy?) They will answer if they wish too, it's that simple!" Reporters realized they are just like normal children, playful, talkative, like to laugh. When asked about schoolwork and thoughts about this trip, the children fought to answer, where they like to go and what they saw made them happy. The only difference they have is like what Miriam said, "Their will to live is much more mature, even 100 times more than so-called successful people."

Miriam Clarifies Rumors About Love Relationship



A gossip magazine took photos of Miriam having steamboat dinner in Real Ting's house and Real Ting's mother was also present. Miriam denied they were having a relationship. Eason, Miriam & Kelly to Represent HK & Macau as Torchbearers

On January 26, 2008, Samsung held a press conference where they revealed the list of torchbearers for the Hong Kong and Macau leg of the traditional torch relay for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Three groups of representatives, a total of 7 individuals, consist of 3 artists, 2 athletes and 2 citizens were chosen to represent Hong Kong and Macau as torchbearers in the torch relay.

The 3 groups of representatives represent 3 different fields of work. The 2 citizen representatives (阮維新 and 林冠成), who were chosen by citizens of Hong Kong and Macau, had to show their spirit of perseverance and their abilities to overcome obstacles, difficulties and challenges.

The 3 celebrities, Eason Chan frequently participates in charitable events, Kelly Chen is a current World Outstanding Young Persons and Miriam Yeung is a current Hong Kong Outstanding Young Persons.

The 2 athletes, 梁洪敏 represents Macau and 葉少康, who represents Hong Kong, is the first Asian athlete to qualify for the Equestrian event at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. 葉少康 was born with brain convulsions and relied on walking with crutches, but with a strong will and with hard work and effort he has become a distinguished Equestrian.

On May 2nd and 3rd, these 7 representatives will carry the torch and represent Hong Kong and Macau in the torch relay tradition. Eason, Miriam and Kelly have all expressed they will work out before the torch bearing event to be in top condition and avoid embarrassing Hong Kong and Macau.

Eason says that the last time the torch passed by Hong Kong was 44 years ago during the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games, since this year's Olympic Games will be held in Beijing, Chinese people are able to participate and it is very meaningful. Although Eason cannot bring his daughter along with him during the upcoming experience, he will explain the tradition of torch relay to his daughter. Eason jokes that each of the representatives will need to carry the torch for 200 meters and representing Hong Kong he will jog slowly hoping there will be more pictures of him taken. He says, "Our outfits will be organized by the committee, but if it were up to me I would like a sleeveless top and short-shorts, so I can look like a professional track and field athlete." When asked if his family will be there to watch him, he responds that it's too bad that they can run with him, but they will be there to support him. He says he wants to watch the Diving event and has asked others to help him get tickets.

Miriam will be representing the Macau leg of the torch bearing and says she is finally going outside of Hong Kong and will be passing the torch to the Beijing representative, she is extremely proud to be representing the Chinese people. Although the event will be held in May, Miriam is training and Thai Boxing every day to increase her heart and lungs function for a competition next month. Miriam really wants to go to Beijing to attend the Olympic Games, but she knows that all hotels have been booked. She then thinks up of an idea and laughs, "Mr. Lai (Leon) is from Beijing, he should own property in Beijing. Myself and some company members should make up a crowd of about 20-30 people, maybe we could borrow his property and we could all go together. I'll promise I won't break his house."

Kelly Chen will run to get back into condition. Since she will be holding concerts at Hong Kong Coliseum in June, the running will help her out. Kelly is proud and nervous about being a torchbearer. She points out that all Chinese people will be watching her and she does not want to embarrass them and will ask all family, friends and people that know her to come support her. She says, "I will not spray hairspray into my hair and I will make sure that my hair is tied up to avoid any possibility of my hair setting on fire."
