Michelle Ye (Yip Suen) flew back to Hong Kong from Shanghai yesterday to attend a costuming session for her new TVB series SAI SEUNG CHING YUEN (lit. WESTERN CHAMBER DESTINIES). The former Miss Chinese International has been in Shanghai working on the Mainland television series DUK DIP (lit. POISONED BUTTERFLY). Co-starring with Ye in the historical drama are Myolie Wu Hung-Yi, Ron Ng Cheuk-Hei and Celine Ma Tai-Lo. Shooting is scheduled to begin after the Lunar New Year holiday as Ye must still wrap up work on DUK DIP.

I'm not sure, but in this article, Michelle says she has been to a fortune teller and she says this fortune teller is really accurate, the fortune teller told her she'll be in an acting career until she's at least 34 years old. She says she believes it, so she might stay until she's 34, but she also says that she really wants to complete her education by going back to school.

Michelle Ye's birthday is on the 14th February, but she sighs that ever since entering the industry, she has not had a Valentine to share her birthday with, so this year, even if she does not have to work, she will just be going out with a big group of friends to Karaoke and celebrate. She laughs: "It's so bad! Ever since entering showbiz, every year has been without a Valentine, just busy filming, no wonder no-one is chasing me if I am always working! I have sold my body to the comapny, so the company managers should help me find a boyfriend as well." Currently filming for "Destinies of the Western Chamber", she says that if she has to film on that day, then she will be celebrating in the studio with Kenneth Ma, who has his birthday on February 13th. As for birthday wishes, she says: "I hope that everyone is healthy and I have a lover next year. I will be 24 and my wrinkles are starting to appear, so I will have to try harder!"

In the Miss New York Pagent, Michelle came in third but since the first and second place couldn't go to Hong Kong for the Miss Chinese International Pagent, Michelle went, and she took the Miss Chinese International Championship home. That's just fate, then TVB liked her so they signed a contract with her and now here she is, an actress and our idol. If she didn't go to the MCI pagent, I don't think we would have ever known about her.

Michelle Ye was filming on location for "Destinies of the Western Chamber" yesterday in a scene that tells of her family being sentenced to death, but luckily they are saved by Ron Ng's character and evade the snatches of death. Seeing her wearing her ancient criminal's costume, Michelle looked rather tired, but she smiled: "I had a fever a few days ago, so my sickly look will tie in with the scene."

As well as having a fever, Michelle was injured during filming with Ron two weeks ago and hurt the little finger of her right hand. The wound later became infected and she thought that she might have tetanus. After seeing the doctor, she found out that she was just weak after not getting enough sleep. Also, she has had a sore throat, mouth ulcers and aching shoulders and she believes that this is caused by a build up of toxins after not getting enough sleep. She also admits that she doesn't drink enough soup, only getting what other people share with her, so she will maybe ask her housekeeper to make her some soup.

Also, after working with Adam Cheng in "The Driving Power", Michelle has referred to him as her 'dad' and as Adam is currently filming "Proud Warriors of the Chu and Han" in TVB City, the pair often meet and this makes Michelle very happy. Next week is Adam's birthday and Michelle smiles: "I will buy him some good stuff, but it is a secret. (Adam likes digital cameras...) I will leave this to his wife and daughter to buy him."

Michelle Ye and Myolie Wu have recently been working together on new series "Destinies of the Western Chamber" and new rumours reporting that the two are outwardly friendly but inwardly enemies have emerged, suggesting that Myolie is unhappy about her part being cut so she is just playing a secondary role and also complaints about Michelle's lateness and absence, spreading gossip around the cast and crew.

Michelle was filming yesterday in Ma On Shan and indicated that the reports were false, adding: "We are good friends, sometimes when we work too late then Myolie will come and stay at my house. When I hurt my leg, she accompanied me to the doctors, when have we fallen out? The rumours are the same as ever and someone told me about the reports today, but we just find it rather amusing."

Michelle also refutes the stories about them fighting over screentime saying: "The script was laid out very early on. Myolie plays a maid, but this does not represent a secondary part. You can play a beggar but still be a leading role." She also says that after injuring her leg, it has improved and she has been carrying on with filming so as not to delay progress.

Michelle Ye will be appearing as a guest star at a slimming showcase programme and with a rather plump figure in the past, she has had to use careful camera angles to make her look slimmer, but after taking part in a slimming course recently, she has lost 17 lbs and now weighs just 106 lbs. Her waist has reduced from 29 inches to just 24, so no matter if she is wearing a seethrough top or even just a camisole, she is full of confidence.

The guests on the show will include Wong Chak Fung, Rain Lau and Mok Ka Yiu who will be studying footage of Michelle before slimming as well as finding out the reason for her full figure. In the end, Chak Fung and Rain both draw the conclusion that the reason is Michelle likes to eat hot pot. Having filmed with Michelle, Ka Yiu adds that she is too busy filming to eat hot pot now so it must be the meals that she is eating at the TVB canteen that is causing her to put on weight. However, Michelle reveals the reason and laughs at Ka Yiu as she says: "You are wrong, I did sneak out to have hot pot without telling you!"

Din See Mui is a happy person, who likes to watch happy series, where everyone could laugh like crazy.But sometimes I like to turn over a new leaf,I want to watch something like a tragidy,but not for crying really hard, but just to be curious if the actresses are really crying or not. Today, I saw a scene where dying was happening,the two main characters, Myolie Wu and Michelle Ye,they both brought out real tears, it makes people's heart break.

Top: The two sisters hug and cry, the scene was definitely heartbreaking, it made Di See Mui's eyes have some tears in it.

Middle Left: Michelle was about to be beheaded, while speaking her last words with her maid, she kidded by saying, "Hung Leung, help me by adjusting the criminal name plate on my back." And Myolie who was trying to cry already, adjusted the plate while adjusting her mood to prepare for crying.

Middle: Michelle was just smiling a while ago, but the second you look back at her, her eyes were red already, comparing with Myolie's large motions, it made the comparison of one active and one quiet.

Michelle Ye has been filming in the mainland lately and has been absent from the Hong Kong scene for a while. Appearing at a promotion for a gym yesterday, she bumped into a TVB producer who jokingly asked her if she had undergone cosmetic surgery because she has become so much prettier in the time she has been away!

Michelle immediately explained that the main reason is that she has been away filming in China and not appeared for a while, so with the hard work and sunshine on the mainland, she has become slimmer and darker, thus giving people the feeling that she looks differently. Although Michelle has been out of the press for a while, the happiest thing for her is that the amount of gossip surrounding her has also reduced.

Later, Michelle will be heading out to Athens to film an Olympic related travel programme before becoming a sports reporter for the Olympic Games coverage in August. 1. Yesterday, Hong Kong has put up the signal of the level eight strong wind currents, but Michelle Ye still drove through the winds and rain into the tvcity to film the promotional clip for "Olympics 813", she will also pretend to be pilots with other hosts.

Michelle says, "At first, the company says that it's cancelled, so with no worries I planned to have a nice, long sleep, but then they called me to see if I could come back to film, I live pretty close anyways, so it's alright!" But she forgot about the company having car pick-ups, so she drove her own car to tvcity,but because of the level eight wind currents, insurance doesn't cover it so she is extra careful while driving.

Lately, Michelle's been busy filming promotional clips, at first, they planned to film outdoor gymnastics, but it was cancelled due to the winds. She says, "We hosts will film different events of the olympics, for example I'm doing gymnastics, so other people will do running." Towards gymnastics Michelle claims she can handle it, because it's just going to be ground ball and ribbon dance, because she has just finished filming The Greatest In The World, her bones are still very loose and soft, also there are professional trainers there, so she thinks she can do good.

In the past, Michelle has come to work during the level eight wind currents, but it's just indoor work. Yesterday after finishing the promotional clip, she immediately went home to rest, because today she has to participate in the "Popular Stars Water Olympics", she will be competing in the 25 metre swimming race. Michelle Ye's doggy paddle brings laughter

Yesterday, TVB's "Popular Stars Water Olympics" was supposed to have Leon Lai and Jade Kwan coming, but in the end, the two never showed up. According to producer Chin Gwok Wai, Leon did agree to come and was also supposed to be playing water polo with the contestants of Miss HK, but because he was too busy recording, so he couldn't come.As to Jade, her schedule also clashed.When asked if it felt like there weren't any popular stars to help? The producer said that they can't say that, the important thing is everyone's happy and recording goes successfully.

Michelle Ye was the only TVB fa dan participating in the Water Olympics, not only did she participate in the swimming races, she's also responsible for the water ceremony along with Chris Lai, Bosco Wong and Sze To Sui Kei, but in the swimming race she got in last and her doggy paddle didn't look very nice, but it brought laughter. She says, "Actually I don't know how to swim, but Miss Lok encouraged me to participate, the important thing is to keep my will until the end, it's ok to be last."

M: No, the first date I went on was when I was in university, not that my dad was strict, it's just that I don't like white guys, when I was in high school, all my male classmates were white, I only met a chinese guy when I was in university, my first boyfriend was an ABC(American Born Chinese), even though we broke up, we still talk, we're good friends.

R: Do you crave to be dating right now?

M: No, does that mean that I can't have male friends? Many times, it was you guys who have misunderstood, like when rumours were spread about Benny Chan and I, it's actually we were getting off work together and saw each other at the parking lot, but the news came and said we were dating, to tell you the truth, sometimes when we get off work together with others who are working on the same series, we give each other rides home, it's the same way, it's not everytime that we're doing what you think we're doing.

Living alone:

You would've never guessed if no one told you, after her parents left her, you could say that Michelle has loneliness as company as she grows up, she left HangZhou at the age of ten and went to live in New York, America, under this grand city, the living of Michelle, is just very simple and bland. She doesn't have her mother's love, so she's learned to take care of herself, when she was 14, she was already living by herself, she says, strong and independent was learnt at that time.

R: Why don't you speak of your family?
M: Because I'm very isolated from my family, we don't seem like a family, my parents divorced when I was 9, then they gave me to my grandma and grandpa in HangZhou to take care of, after one year, my dad came and took me to America, so I don't speak of my parents much.

R: Did you decide to stay with your dad?
M: No I didn't, I've never thought to stay with which, maybe becase I was still young and the only child, so whatever they wanted me to do, I did it.

R: Feel Resentful?
M: No, before, I haven't been mad that they divorced, because I understand that this is their choice, they're happy right now, and I'm happy by myself, I won't feel resentful or they are owing me anything.

R: When did you start living alone?
M:14, but it's nothing big, I went to live alone at that age, so I said I was isolated with the family, unlike others, having a great relationship with parents.

R: Are you responsible for your living fees?
M: No, my dad would give me money, in America, going to school is free until high school, when I got into university, I got scholarships, so I didn't need him to give me money, also I started to do part-times at the library to make my own earnings, he didn't do anything.

R: It seems like you're resentful towards your dad?
M: No, I really am not mad at him, I actually have to thank my parents, if not for them, I probably can't be so independent, even when coming to Hong Kong, living here, working here, even going into the complicated showbiz, I probably wouldn't be able to get used to it so quickly. They made me, no matter doing anything, to know how to find ways to solve problems and not count on others.

Loneliness as Company:

Separation of her parents, made her loose all her family warmth, even though right now she can be very relaxed and carefree, and focus on her work, but it has also made her, during her childhood, because of not having parents with her, she has a sense of coldness and loneliness within her.

R: Have you contacted your parents since you're in Hong Kong?
M: I talk on the phone with my mom every one or two days. (Page 3)When I was in America, we wrote letters once a month. As to my dad, I haven't contacted him for a long time, but I don't need to worry about him, he can take care of himself.

R: Does your parents have individual families now?
M: Yes, they also have children, I suddenly went from an only child to having a bunch of brothers and sisters, but I'm not unhappy or jealous, maybe it's because I'm used to being alone, it doesn't matter if I do have brothers and sisters or not.

R: No family at your side, would you feel lonely?
M: No I don't, during celebrations I go through by myself, even though I'm in America, there's still Chinese New Year celebrations, at that time, I have a friend who's Malaysian, I sometimes go to her house for dinner, seeing her family so happy, I won't envy her, maybe because I don't have it, I won't lean towards family life.

R: Now that you have earnings, do you pay for the family fees?
M: No, but everytime I see my mom, I'll give her an amount of money, she lives in HangZhou, her life isn't bad, but I want to buy her a big house so she'll live comfortably. As to dad, no need, he's a person who can take care of himself, he never gave me money in the past, so right now I don't give him any money.

Nothing To Worry About

Because of the affect of her family, Michelle has trained her personality to be very independent, even when she's been arranged to go film a series in Mainland, half a year that she's not in Hong Kong, it doesn't matter for her, she says that because of no worries about family, no matter in Hong Kong, Mainland or anywhere in the world, she doesn't mind.

R: Ever since last year, you seemed to have disappeared in year 2004?
M: After Triumph in the Skies was aired, I went to Mainland to film a series, I actually have to thank TVB for arranging this, because I really earned a lot of money, I'm by myself anyways, so it doesn't matter where I go, I will be able to get used to it.

R: But you aren't in Hong Kong often, your series aren't airing, would your popularity drop?
M: It's alright, I've actually been filming series this whole time, it's just that it hasn't aired yet, I really haven't been showing up in newspapers, but I know that Lost In The Chamber Of Love and The Greatest In The World will be coming out soon and I'll be doing the Olympics, so people can see me again.

R: Have any close friends in the showbiz?

Michelle Ye will be heading out to Athens for TVB as a reporter for the Olympic Games coverage and recently she has been swotting up on the historical Olympic facts and information as well as keeping fit so that she can keep up with the foreign reporters. She will be leaving next Wednesday and says: "The company gave me a video tape and I have been watching it every night. Earlier I also chatted with Winnie Yeung and Hon Yuk Ming to ask them about their past experiences of interviewing at the Olympics."

When asked if she was worried about anything, Michelle says: "I am afraid that I am not as tall as the foreign reporters and will be pushed away, losing out on the best places, so I have been working out at the gym lately to get myself stronger." Michelle also says that she will be taking the opportunity to collect the commemorative badges from each country and when asked if she will keep them as an heirloom, she says: "I will keep these badges well and then pass them down through generations because they will be very special and memorable."

Also, as Michelle will be away in Athens for a month, the dates clash and she will not be able to appear at Sam Hui's concert in August. She is rather disappointed as she says: "I have already missed out on two chances, but I know that Sam has another performance in October and I hope that he will ask me again then. If it fits in with my time, then I will take the opportunity."

Michelle Ye headed out to Athens with the TVB sports coverage teams on Wednesday and with the recent theft of her purse on an earlier filming trip, she has made special preparations before heading out this time, buying a handbag that she will be keeping with her all the time, even during interviews. She says: "If you see me on the television clutching onto my bag as I interview the athletes, then please forgive me because I have learned my lesson and I daren't leave my bag with anyone to look after now."

When her fans went to see her off at the airport, they presented her with a digital camera and some ground pearl essence, leaving her very touched. She says: "In Athens, I need to meet the Chinese athletes at the airport and I must get a photo with Tian Liang and Guo Jingjing." She also reveals that Sam Hui has asked her to be his guest at his third set of concerts, but as she will be hosting the Olympics, she will miss out on this great opportunity.

Currently over in Athens, Michelle Ye is already a step above the rest! In her debut appearance as a reporter, she arrived at the Olympic village to see a crowd of people gathered, so she rushed over to see which famous athlete it was. When she found out that it was actually the Greek president Kostis Stephanopoulos, she was very happy, but still remembered her responsibility as a reporter and immediately prepared to interview him. However, the President had already indicated that he would like to speka to her and the first thing he said was: "I would like to be a reporter too!" Although faced with the President of Greece and rather nervous, Michelle smiled and asked: "What are you doing?". To which the President replied: "I am here to check everything and I am pleased with the Olympic Village!", after which he left.

After such a short time of representing TVB's coverage team, Michelle has already made her mark with a short interview with the President, winning the first battle for TVB, so the crew went out for a lamb dinner that evening to celebrate!

You wouldn't see her on TV in the US because she's reporting for TVB. Therefore, you would have to see her on TVB channels in HK (unless it comes out on tape...which I doubt)....I live in the US too...u would only see reporters from NBC station...

When TVB covered the opening ceremony for this year's Olympic Games, they received much criticism over the poor commentary, so with this in mind, TVB passed the order to their hosts to keep their mouths shut and not talk so much rubbish over yesterday's closing ceremony. However, with more errors in the reporting, over ten further complaints were received. Even though the Olympic Games are over for another four years, the complaints keep rolling in and the HKBA also received six complaints about the hosts saying the wrong thing, such as referring to the Mayor of Athens as the Mayor of Greece, misunderstanding the meaning of the Chinese flag and airing too many advertisements.

As for the heavily criticised Michelle Ye, she seemed to have less to say over the closing ceremony, but when a voice that was suspected to be hers referred to the Olympic stage as resembling 'mosquito incense', then this was picked up as being rather disrespectful. Broadcasting critic Cha Siu Yan then went on to ask: "What happened to the six Olympic stars? Why was there only Sammul Chan left at the end?" However, TVB external affairs assistant director Tsang Sing Ming indicated he was very pleased with the performance from the hosts and there is a marked improvement with complaints falling from over 30 at the beginning to just over 10 at the end. When asked whether Vincent Kuk had been kicked out and hence his absence, Mr Tsang explained that Vincent was only able to host until 26th because of his movie filming schedules.

As for Alex Fong who was appearing in a Children's song awards show, he indicated that he did not believe that Michelle has been left out of the forthcoming Chinese medallists celebration as he says: "With so much news before, if they were to kick her out, then they would have done it then. I will be interviewing the swimmer Liu Xuejuan at the event and I am very happy about that."

TVB are currently working hard to prepare for the celebratory show next week, but are awaiting finalisation from Beijing about who will be appearing. Many of the local singing stars would like to duet with the athletes, but there are indications that the Beijing authorities were not too pleased with this four years ago, so TVB will be avoiding the same thing happening again.

The police are also taking a very stringent approach to security at the event, rejecting any potentially dangerous suggestions. Reports indicate that there was a suggestion for the Women's Tennis Doubles Gold Medallists Sun Tiantian and Li Ting to hand out signed tennis balls to the audience, but this was stopped by the police who say that this would cause chaos and requesting TVB to rethink.

As every member of the audience will receive a special memento keyring with a photograph and printed autograph of a Chinese athlete on it, then this will be a very precious souvenir and it will be a lottery to see who receives the keyrings featuring the more popular stars such as Li Xiang and Tian Liang. To bring the audience into the atmosphere, there will be competitions and drawns with the complete sets of keyrings and signed photographs up for grabs.

The master of ceremonies for the event have been confirmed as Nat Chan, Winnie Yeung, the already heavily promoted Miss Hong Kong winner Kate Tsui, sports commentator Chung Chi Kwong and Derek Lee.

Also, TVB reported last week's ratings, with the Olympic Closing ceremony gaining 7 points (approx 450,000 viewers), first week "War and Beauty" did well reaching 30 points (approx 1.97 million viewers) and will be holding a celebration on Thursday. Also, TVB received a further three complaints regarding the new ending to "To Catch the Uncatchable", including viewers unhappy about the short ending and others requesting a sequel.

On Sunday night, a host of stars including Gigi Lai, Michelle Ye, Yu On On, Shirley Yeung, Leo Ku, Mandy Cho, Christine Au Yeung, Marsha Yuen, Nancy Wu, Natalie Tong, Lily Lei and Sheila Chan took part in the "International Stylists Competition 2004" Hong Kong Contest Final as models for the entrants, each displaying a highly inspired hair creation by the entrants.

Among them, Gigi's green explosion was very eyecatching, but did not spark as much attention as her revealing dress on the stage. Leo Ku and Mandy Cho appeared in wedding outfits, seeming very in tune and well matched. Leo indicated that after filming the music video for his song 'Special Move' with her earlier, this is the second time he has worked with Mandy and with only one rehearsal earlier in the afternoon, it is fortunate that they have a good understanding. Leo describes his appearance as a prince from a Greek legend and says laughingly: "If I look so good, then I'd better get married soon."

Mandy's hairstyle took eight hours to create and luckily she earned the praises from many, with some people even saying she made a 'perfect couple' with Leo. She explains that this was arrangement by the organisers and not Leo's choice, making it clear that she does not know him very well and has never met with him in private. However, she praises Leo for being very chivalrous, giving her a hand when he saw her nearly falling over on the stage.

After becoming the 'Headline Gossip Queen' during her coverage of the Olympic Games, Michelle Ye returned to Hong Kong on Sunday and immediately took part in the event. Not only did she not seem tired at all, but full of vitality. Talking of all the news that arose whilst she was out in Athens covering the games, first with her argument in front of the camera with Alex Fong and then snatching words from her co-hosts and going on to flirt with Prince of Diving Tian Liang whilst she interviewed him, Michelle asked in return with some frustration: "When did you see me 'flirting' with Tian Liang?" She admits that she lacked experience in this her debut appearance as a host and she accepts the criticisms, but she was not totally without merit and there have been good reports as well as bad. Producer Lee Hon Yuen has praised her privately for doing a good job and believes that she has made leaps and bounds in the short time, so she should have plenty of opportunities come the next games in 2008. Michelle says candidly that even the company executives have offered her encouragement and support and it is the negative reports from the press that have left her feeling wronged.

Michelle does not agree with the critics' suggestion that she seemed more like a fan than a reporter when she spoke with the athletes and says that she was just entering the spirit, following the requirements from the company, giving the reaction that a Chinese person should have and showing the excitement and pride in the athletes' success. As for giving Tian Liang a massive teary hug when he lost the gold medal, Michelle explains that it was also his birthday on that day and everyone was very disappointed that he did not win gold, so she was feeling rather sad. However, she did not respond directly about the hug and evaded the question about whether she found him to be good looking, saying that she just wanted to say 'Happy Birthday' to Tian at the time and with emotions running high, everyone was hugging, whether it was with joy or disappointment.

As for the reports that she had been 'kicked out' of next Tuesday's athlete's celebrtion show, Michelle says that she has never heard about this job and from what she knows not all the hosts will be taking part in this show. As she has already been booked to do a show in the mainland for those days, then she cannot take part anyway and although it is a shame, she will respect the arrangement by the company.

There were reports yesterday that Michelle Ye was dating Chinese diving gold medallist Xiong Ni, seeing him off at the airport and giving him a goodbye kiss. Michelle immediately responded and explained: "We are just good friends, earlier when I was in Athens, he helped me out a lot, so I was just repaying the favour as a local." She also says that the 'goodbye kiss' was just a peck on the cheek and purely good manners. As for whether they have a chance to develop later, she says: "I don't know what will happen in the future, but we are in separate lands now and there are no chances just yet." With the love affair between Tian Liang and Guo Jingjing very much in the main topic, Michelle says she is not in a position to comment, but says she is in touch with Tian and Guo. As for whether Tian will be entering the showbiz industry, Michelle says that she asked him in Greece and he says he will not. He says he has to dive in the 2008 games, so he cannot mislead everyone. Michelle says that the interview will be aired shortly, but she feels that Tian has a lot of talent to become an artiste because he is very calm and can deal well with media issues. In her eyes, Tian is not good looking, just that he has a sportsman's appearance and a great personality.

Having been linked romantically with Xiong Ni, who does Michelle think is better of the two? She says she should not compare them but they are both her good friends. Earlier reports suggested that she and Xiong went to watch Andy Lau's concert before giving him a goodbye kiss. Jessica Hsuan, Dave Wang, Sunny Chan, Fiona Yuen and Selena Li were among the cast members at the blessing ceremony for "My Wife, Your Honour" yesterday. Jessica indicated that although she was not able to vote on Sunday, she has made preparations for next time, when the LegCo elections come around again: "If I just voted for anyone, then that would be worse because I feel that voting should be done with thought and consideration. I am now doing my homework and see who is good over the next few years. Although I didn't have the chance to vote this time, I have told all my family to go and vote."

Talking of Sammul Chan's unlucky accident on Tseung Kwan O's Wan Po Road, Jessica says that she nearly had an accident in the same place earlier. Jessica says with some reservations: "One night I was heading home after work and suddenly there was a car that went through the red lights and if my reactions were any slower, then we would have crashed. I had thought about feeding this back to the police, at least they can put a camera in."

Also, Fiona appeared at yesterday's event with her mother and it turns out that her mum is great pals with Sunny. Fiona says: "Sunny always teaches my mum how to make soup and they get on really well, so I thought I'd bring her along today so they can have a good chat. After raising her profile by hosting TVB's coverage of the Olympic Games, Michelle Ye has been presenting herself with a new sexy image recently. She believes that as she is having tricks played on her on the internet by pasting her face onto a bikini-clad body, then she may as well just show her own sexy image instead. However, she insists that her breasts have not suddenly enlarged, but the effect of other parts of her body reducing are giving this illusion. She says: "I have slimmed recently and my smaller waist makes my curves more enhanced and my breasts look bigger." When asked if she would attracts rumours about breast enlargement, she laughs: "If I haven't done it then I don't need to worry, but I am still not happy with my figure at the moment because I still have some fat and I would welcome any offers from slimming companies to be their spokesperson."

With her sexy image, Michelle has attracted the attention and sponsorship of many large brand names and she says: "After coming back from Athens, many advertisers have approached me. Frankie Lam and Michelle Ye had their costume fittings for new series "King of Herbal Medicine" yesterday, where Frankie will be playing classical herbal doctor Li Shizhen. The show will begin filming at the end of September. With filming for "Ten Brothers" almost complete, Frankie had planned to take some time to 'make babies' with his wife Kenix Kwok, but with this new series, does it mean his plans have been postponed? He laughs: "We are still young and have plenty of time."

In the past, Frankie once played ancient doctor Hua Tuo in an earlier series, but this has been relegated to the depths of storage, so why has he agreed to do a similar story? He explains: "I am actually very afraid of wearing a wig and the heat, but after hearing the storyline from the producer, I felt that this is not a traditional boring ancient drama, especially on the romantic plot, so I agreed to do it." Although no-one can guarantee ratings, Frankie feels that if he is interested in the story and with some herbal nutritional tips in each episode, then this should attract the attention of the viewers.

Michelle will be playing a female herbal doctor in the show, who comes between Frankie and his wife in the show played by Selena Li. When asked what it felt like to be the third party in a relationship, Michelle reacted quite strongly, saying: "No, in the show, I meet Frankie first, but due to many reasons we do not end up together. Moreover, this is the first time I play a third party." The character often has to head into the hills to collect the herbs, so they will be filming on location in Guangxi later. She laughs: "Well we can't go picking herbs in Ma On Shan!" Talking of Ma On Shan, it brings up her memory of being injured on two occasions whilst filming there. Frankie Lam, Michelle Ye, Kenneth Ma and Selena Li took part in the costume tryout for new series "King of Herbal Medicines" yesterday, with Frankie and Michelle working together for the first time. Michelle revealed that she had a part to play in Kenix agreeing to marry Frankie because she gave Kenix the tickets to go and see Anita Mui in concert and it was after Anita's inspirational words on stage that Kenix decided to treasure the people in her life and agree to marry Frankie.

Michelle smiles: "I do like Anita myself, but I had to film for 'Lost in the Chamber of Love' on that night so I gave the tickets to Kenix and they were front row seats too!" She feels that Frankie and Kenix are a good match and even though she was unable to appear at the wedding, she still sent along a gift. When it was mentioned that she was very generous, not only giving concert tickets to Kenix, but even passing on top parts to Maggie Cheung, she laughs: "I do feel I am very kind too!"

When reminded by some reporters that she needs to look after herself as well as others, she laughs that she is waiting for someone to matchmake for her. When asked if she already has Xuong Ni, she says that they are just friends, but they are keeping in touch whilst they each have their own work to do and he is not able to go away, so he will not be visiting her for mid-autumn festival. Michelle will be working herself over the festival in Shanghai and Macau.

When Frankie was asked to confirm whether the ticket was given to Kenix by Michelle, he was not sure and said: "Did Michelle give her the ticket? I don't know! I will have to find out, but we were not sitting in the front row, so I don't think the ticket was the one from her, but to have the thought was good. Michelle Ye, Moses Chan, Shirley Yeung, Deep Ng and Carol Cheng too part in a press conference for TVB's "Hong Kong Stepping Up Show" covering the major charity stair running event and Michelle, Moses and Deep took part in a stepping race at the conference. Michelle indicated that although she is taking part in the event, she has never been a fan of running because of her heart condition. Although she is almost recovered, she still does not drink coffee. In the past, she rarely exercised and had a weak body that left her fainting on the set when she was filming for "Gods of Honour" and "Street Fighters", but she hopes that with her new interest in sport, she will build a stronger body and be able to face overnight work. When Michelle was asked if she was taking a greater interest in sport after meeting Xuong Ni, she said brushing her hair back sweetly: "You're so bad! You have to pull him into it! My interest in sport arose from hosting the Olympics!" Having previously run a marathon, Carol says she will not take part in this race because she will be hosting.

As for Moses, he was asked about an incident reported earlier where he was 'eating Bernice Liu's saliva' whilst filming a bottle blowing scene together and he laughed: "We were just playing, everyone plays like that! Then it becomes news - everyone had blown on that bottle, even the director, who finally got a sound out of it. All these reports get boring after a while!" He then goes on to explain that holding hands with Bernice in a show earlier was the request of the organisers and just work.

Also TVB Variety Department Assistant Chief Producer Mr Ho Lai Cheun denied rumours that the 'Singers celebrate TVB Anniversary' show died in the womb, saying that they wanted to do it properly and there was not enough time to prepare this year, so its revival was postponed until next year.

Having been chosen to host the CCTV joint production mid-autumn festival show, Michelle has had offers from a number of sponsors and earlier, she chose a set of jewellery worth over $500,000 to go with her red evening gown for the show to look her best in the show and not let herself down.

After hosting the Olympic games, Michelle's popularity has risen dramatically and with her fame even spreading into the mainland, she has been praised by CCTV as they nominated her to host the mid-autumn show. As Michelle will be representing Hong Kong in this hosting team, she has a large responsibility and she is not taking this lightly as she prepares all her homework for the event as well as selecting the best costume and accessories to wear.

Accompanied by her manager and make up artist, Michelle attended the sponsors showroom to select her jewellery and the boss not only sponsored her jewellery, but also gave her a pair of earrings with 3 carats of diamonds, leaving Michelle rather dumbstruck. She says: "This is the first time I am doing a mainland show in this capacity and I am being treated so well, so whether it is my appearance or my performance, I have to do my very best." Finally, after much choosing, Michelle selected a set of jewellery worth over $500,000 to go with her fiery red dress on the night.

Despite Michelle's endless schedule recently, even having to work on mid-autumn festival, she still seems very spritely and she says: "At the moment, it is a peak in my career and it is time to work hard, so of course the more work I have the better! (Then you won't be able to watch the moonlight with your lover on mid-autumn?) I will be watching it with the crew! (How about Xuong Ni?) We are just friends, but we will maintain our friendship on the phone, just don't think the wrong thing!"
