Chin Pang: Sometimes, we film things before and sometimes we leave it for 2 hours and then we have to film it again. They wont make it again for you, you just have to eat the same one. The store may want to advertise 3 or 4 of their dishes, and they are all sweet and you have to ask them questions on how to make it whilst still eating.

Chin Pang: If its one, its ok but having to describe 2 or 3 to the audience, its quite hard. Being a presenter is not easy.
Presenter: I used to admire presenters of food shows, getting to eat everyday. But now I know that its not as easy. You have to eat food even though its turned cold.
Chin Pang: That¡¦s true, but usually they are quite tasty.
Presenter: That¡¦s why ive heard a few people say that Chan Pang has put on some weight? Its because you have been presenting a food show. This show of yours, did it start airing at the end of 2005?
Chin Pang: Yes, it will continue to 2006.
Presenter: I know that you are very busy, having to present, film, promote and having to go backwards and forwards to HK and mainland China.
Chin Pang: This year, I have only stayed in HK for 2 months, a lot of things are out of HK for example the series ª¼«L¸¤Ñ½Þ, it was in Shanghai, then Beijing. The food was good though. Normally we film abroad first and then leave the rest to film in HK last, leaving more time in HK. Then about March, id return to HK to film a series then do a ¹qµø¤å.
Presenter: Before, I saw you with your hair long and dyed yellow, and now we can see you hair is short again.

Presenter: Ma Jing Tao and Amy Chan are both very well known artists, and they asked you to film with them. In March,you will film with¸¼w¼_, Patrick Tam and Amy Kwok, they are very famous in HK. I want to play in one of the favourites as I get to wear nice clothes, play instruments and speak. But stress comes with it.
Presenter: Most series use HK and Mainland China actors, but the majority are not HK actors. In you eyes, apart from filming, do you have time to watch series?
Chin Pang: You¡¦re right, most of the HK series don¡¦t use many HK actors anymore. If I could choose, I would watch films. Actually, I would buy ancient and historic series by Mainland China when im in Mainland China.
Presenter: You really enjoy history?
Chin Pang: Chinese history for example, Ma Jong Tao¡¦s ¬Ó¤Ó¤l¯¦¥v, because you don¡¦t get this in HK, its usually love stories.
Presenter: Or many action movies?
Chin Pang: Theres still not many, maybe it depends on the timing. Hk people like series to be quick, more comedies.
Presenter: Maybe the lifestyle in HK requires something more relaxing. Normally, the filming period is longer than the sleeping period, or working hours are longer. Maybe as you said before, visiting Mainland China, buying historic films is a good way to relax. What do you think of the actors from China? Who do you like?
Chin Pang: I like more mature actors, someone in the elder generation, maybe about 40- 50 years old, e.g ¼ïi, she is talented and she does everything to her best. She has a good attitude towards work, that¡¦s why I like her.

Chin Pang: Yes, ÌﺣÈØ, someone who is hard working and puts a lot of effort into work.
Presenter: We also know many actors from HK and Taiwan for example ºÎ?™–|¡¢…dz¼¾ý and ÌKÓÐÅó etc. Many HK and Taiwanese actors act in Mainland China. Have you ever thought that because you have a contract, you are only limited to acting in HK?
Chin Pang: IN HK I have to act in series, the company agrees that if I have to act in Mainland China there would be a disagreement with the contract. But I want to learn more. Different places have their different cultures, even their series are different.
Presenter: Up to now have you thought about where you would like to film?
Chin Pang: The north or south of china as the feelings are quite different.

Chin Pang: In 2004, È~ÊÀ˜s from the group Beyond, already discussed this with me, hoping that I could bring one out in Mainland China. At that time I was busy filming. They don¡¯t produce records because they have to, but they do it depending on their mood and inspiration, it takes time. Between 2004 and 2005 I was filming, so I said to him, id do it after I finish, and perhaps the fans from Mainland China would prefer my series.

I just want to say that I want to MARRY CHIN PANG!!!!
i have neveeeeer before felt so intrigued by a male star, he is equal or even better than Daniel Wu, Jay Chou and Andy Lau. In fact i think if given the chance he will become the next Andy Lau because not only is his acting superior his singing is extraordinary. I usually don't like actors trying to sing because they usually suck. but in Chin Pang's case i really am impressed.
furthermore he's one of those people who had to work and fight his way into the business and is still waiting for his big break. i know he'll be able to do it because he is mature and talented. i can't wait until he gets a hot cop/male lead role--he deserves it!
i have neveeeeer before felt so intrigued by a male star, he is equal or even better than Daniel Wu, Jay Chou and Andy Lau. In fact i think if given the chance he will become the next Andy Lau because not only is his acting superior his singing is extraordinary. I usually don't like actors trying to sing because they usually suck. but in Chin Pang's case i really am impressed.
furthermore he's one of those people who had to work and fight his way into the business and is still waiting for his big break. i know he'll be able to do it because he is mature and talented. i can't wait until he gets a hot cop/male lead role--he deserves it!

I just joined youtube today. . .so I may load some scenes from blind detective. . .if it works right. I don't know when yet though.

I recently found this article on Baidu about chin pang and it talks about his rising popularity! but what i find interesting is that he is finally being offered a lead in a series unfortunately i don't think it's what he wants to do because it seems to be an extension of WTO HK Files and he doesn't want to "scare the kids." i think this might be why he recently put up the sad message about how hard it is to be an actor. in the article he said it ultimately comes down to what the company wants to do so it doesn't seem like he has much of a say.

cos i hadnt visited the friends club in such a long time...i couldnt remember the password i used to login...so i started a new account yesterday...but had to use a different name and address cos obviously my old account still exists....oh and aftre a while the page started to freeze and said that the page cannot be displayed....so i tried again today...and it wont display the page still.....im not having any luck at all!

Did they ever film it, sales presentation usually might not be filmed but truthfully it would be nice if it did, I was also looking forward to the series with Gabriel harrison as teh lead but seems like they didn't. Hi nice to see you here again, oh..... so the Blind Swordsman is the ancient series? I thought it was a modern series, the translation sure is misleading. I read a chinese article (translated it word by word with online dictionary, hahaha....) about him recently and he said that he wasn't sure about accepting a new series because he didn't want to "scare kids." the article also talked about the success of HK investigative files and Dangerous People and i think atv is trying to do a similar series to ride on that wave. however, his recent post online also talked about how hard it was to be an actor and how he tries to read the script before accepting a role. i drew a connection because in the article he said that he will think about it but it ultimately comes down to what the company wants him to do and i think he was sad because he doesn't really get to chose what to do.
my personal opinion though, is that i would much rather see a hot movie with him as a lead cop than as a mentally retarded person. i know that sounds mean but i never really liked the fat cat series because they were too cheesy. I just want one modern era movie where Chin Pang is the main character and playing a dreamy guy

Of course it would be awesome to see chin pang portrayed as a hawt cool detective, no doubt. However, I also enjoyed watching him in Lights of Million Hope as a challenged person. The only dissappointing thing about his role in that series for me was there wasn't enough of him in it! The character was adorable and they could have definately emphasized his relationship with the 3rd daughter, but they only through it pass us. This really doesn't tie much into the fat cat series, but just a note that I think if he were to work on the fat cat series, it would be awesome as well. ^^ Will support chin pang no matter what he does.

I felt that Chin Pang really portrayed his character well, you could feel the conflict and regret as well as the baggage he carried. however, i really didn't like the girl he loved, she was soooo annoyingly sweet i wanted to smack her! i just felt like she was the typical nice girl and chin pang was the typical perfect guy who would protect her. although i don't like the other girl in happy family i would much rather have her end up with him in this series. AND IT WAS TOOOOO SHORT!!! most of the other cases had at least 4 chapters, this was only 3, and chin pang had to share the main character role with another guy--what bs!

I've been in love with him after chor lau heung too. . .interestingly, the segment with him it is and the one with ekin cheng was the one I saw. the rest, I didn't really like. . . .he was quite nameless to me, then though. I just knew I love how adorable he was, and was sad we he became paralyzed in the story. then later, i walked by a poster of Thunder Cops and basically screamed when i saw his pic on the poster. I've been in love with him after chor lau heung too. . .interestingly, the segment with him it is and the one with ekin cheng was the one I saw. the rest, I didn't really like. . . .he was quite nameless to me, then though. I just knew I love how adorable he was, and was sad we he became paralyzed in the story. then later, i walked by a poster of Thunder Cops and basically screamed when i saw his pic on the poster. XD That was when I became devouted to him. XP

What was the series To Love with Love? was it ATV or TVB? Still haven't watched Blind Swordsman yet, is it out yet? I remember seeing Ghost Office a long time ago but at that time I just thought Chin Pang was cute but didn't know who he was. Don't really remember how he looked like in there, just that he looked pretty young. Wish there would be more modern series of him or that ATV would just give him male lead roles to do already. Would like him to costar with Kenneth Chan one day because I really like watching Kenneth's series too. ATV are pretty good with those supenseful series like Project Ji Xiang, if only they could make a sequel to it, would love to see how Chin Pang's character develop and see more of the good side of him after he gets out of jail. Really really want a sequel to PJX or at least something similar to it.
To Love with Love is a TVB series . . .I think it was like when he was 17 or 18. He looks really really really young. I didn't even noticed he was in it when I first watched it back in the day. His character was quite small (he did have lines though. some adorable lines, imo ^^). My mom, sister, and me are all Nnadia Chan fans. . .so that's why we kept it around and rewatched it occasionally. . .or we'd never know he was in that series, I think. He plays Nnadia's younger brother in it. There was a couple of adorable scenes with him in it, though. All in all, it was a sad series cuz Nnadia's character suffered a lot of injustice throughout the beginning of the story. Even after all the misunderstanding cleared up, she still had to struggle with her husband and then her best friend died at the end. Cute, yet sad story. The nice thing though, at the end, most of the characters did end up happily ever after. . .except for the character that died. I think Chin Pang's character got to traveled the world at the end. . .but it was only told in narration. . .you don't actually see it. Also, his character was an anime fan in it. . .I remember a scene where he was reading a manga while eating and got yelled at by nnadia's character. XD
As for blind swordsman. . .I rented it. . .so it should be out. The english title is Blind Detective, I think it will affect search engines if you look to buy it.

omgosh!! that's big news!! will tvb be promoting him if he signs a contract with them? i heard tvb is not very nice to their actors/actresses. . .rumors so i don't know if its true. they make more series than atv tho. . .so it might give him more chances, if they plan to promote him... also, for some reason my renting place likes to get more tvb series. . .its like we have all the recent tvb series but can't find some of the atv series from last year like happy family. X_x. . .i'm scared for chin pang. such a hard decision. i hope he's not too stress with it tho. . .in the mean time, i'll be stressing here waiting for his decision

That's why I think his choice is either TVB or movies because mainland means no more series of him at all since many of their series aren't aired in HK which means no cantonese version. I say he should try it out with TVB and if it doesn't work out then go for movies. I'll probably get so mad if he's mistreated and probably let it out over here but I still think he should go for it.
One question though how will he switch back to TVB? Anyone know? Can he just go and discuss it with the management people?

i think you need to register to see it, but don't worry it's actually pretty easy to register as long as you can imagine how other sites set up their controls. also, he didn't write much--there's about 2 pages of comments (many written in chinese) from fans. i agree with many of them that ATV has treated him better and that there's more oppurtunities to be the male lead there. i don't think tvb will ever be a good choice because whenever ATV actors move over to their channel they ALWAYS get crappy roles (ie minor ones). if chin pang goes over he will only lose his popularity that has been growing thanks to ATV.
as for going back to TVB, from what i read i believe they are offering him a contract but i don't think there are any guarantees for roles.....

I think I needed to login before hand or else it'll have an error. But I found the link it's ok. But there have been those who when over to TVB and are cherished like Sunny Chan and Stephen Au. But his roles in ATV aren't that good either when you think about it especially recently. At least in TVB he'll actually might have a chance at male lead role while in ATV the only way is that if he's the yut goh. I don't know a turn for the good would be ATV moving to the new location and producing more series. It'd be nice to see Chin Pang go through that as well. I don't know it's really up to him, I'll still support him no matter what.

i know what you mean, i've been worried ever since i read about it -- there's so much at stake! but i agree, i will always love him -- it's just a matter of other people who only recently saw him or just starting to notice him. if he disappears people will forget and he will have to work all over again to gain secure footing.
i think tvb's movies lack a certain spark, i just don't get that excited about them anymore. and i think that has a lot to do with the fact that i don't like many of the actors, they annoy me. so yea, it tends to be nice to be able to see Chin Pang end up with a girl i like (like TERESA!) or act with people i respect -- like Kenneth and Amy.

Big problem is ATV isn't that popular even though their storylines are much deeper. TVB's series really hasn't been that interesting and their series especially modern ones nowaday are all comedies. I don't know imagining him being in TVB is kinda weird because all this time I'm use to watching him in ATV series. He should give it a try, as a fan I want him to be more popular and have gotten sick of ATV not giving him male lead roles and also having people not know who he is when he's so talented. Sadly to say if he wants recognition for his acting and people to know him he should really go back to TVB. But then he has to start all over again, we also probabloy won't be able to listen to him singing themesongs or subsongs for a while until he's promoted.
