I really love this drama.
I don't think its draggy at all. It pretty much follows the manga. I kinda like it more than the manga and the japanese version, because it does ZS justice. In the manga you don't see the transition of ZS falling for XQ, but in this series you can see it and it just makes more sense.
I can see bits of the series being called "draggy" but compared to any drama out there, it can't hardly be considered draggy.
As for Ariel, I actually think she is so so cute. In this drama and Love Contract they kinda make her look simple and not appealing. I think that helps her as an actress because instead of focusing on her looks people focus on her acting more.
Of course watching a series, people want entertainment and want to look at pretty people so it prefectly understantable to want to have a "pretty" actress play the part. I think Ariel is cute and pretty, for example she looks great in all her MVs, like Vic Chou's "Make a Wish" I also remember reading somewhere she got into acting by winning a beauty contest (I might be wrong).

I just really love this drama, to me it does't drag, the acting is great, the plot is great and the actors/actresses are "pretty to look at".

well. i haven gotten around to watching episode 11 yet.. but i sneaked preview through the show haha... watching only the more important scenes.. i shall help to translate that bed scene in ZS's house...

Episode 11 -- Bed Scene

ZS: Jiang Zhi Shu (Joe)
XQ: Yuan Xiang Qin (Ariel)

--ZS initially slept on his own bed and asked XQ to sleep on the floor.. but XQ kept on hitting him with the pillows and stuff and grumbled that he is so mean to treat a girl this way etc... ZS finally surrenders and sleeps on the floor, but XQ is worried about him and kept asking whether he is fine down there or cold etc... ZS couldn't stand it anymore and climbs up onto the bed with XQ--

ZS: Everything would be fine if i come up to sleep on the bed right?
XQ: I'd better go sleep on the floor.. I'm going to sleep on the floor.
--ZS pushes XQ back on the bed and holds her down--
ZS: There's no need for you to go down. You will only be quiet if we sleep together.
--XQ is very nervous--
ZS: Are you very nervous?
XQ: No.. who says i am?
--ZS moves real close to XQ on top of her!! --
ZS: That's because we are not only going to spend the night together, we are sleeping on the same bed too.. Something might happen later on.. I may kiss you.. or we may progress beyond that.. you must be full of anticipation.. But i;m very sorry.. I will not do anything.
--ZS rolls back to his side of the bed--
ZS: Goodnight.
XQ's thoughts: I really do not have any charm...But come to think of it.. Its not possible that ZS will want to do anything to me. I'm thinking too much....
ZS: Are you very disappointed?
XQ: No...
ZS: I just didn't want to fall into my mum's trap.. If something really happen tonight, then i'll probably be under my mum's control for the rest of my life.... (meaning if there's no mum, he will actually kiss XQ or something?!?!? ) So please do not harbour any thoughts. Go to sleep.
XQ: ZS.. I still thought..
ZS: Don't say anymore.. Hurry up and sleep..
XQ's thoughts: So ZS does not dislike me...Even though its only a very normal night, but i feel so fortunate to be able to sleep so close to ZS... It would be such a pity to fall asleep on such a night...
--XQ gets up to look at ZS--
XQ's thoughts: I want to look at you quietly till daybreak...
--XQ looks at ZS happily, but apparently she fell asleep and in many different poses!! Affecting ZS's sleep in the end.. --

wahh the bed scene was just hilarious!! i couldn't stop laughing when ZS got a kick in the butt! haha

I like Ariel in thix film than any film she had joined before .....And Joe look so CUTE too !! can't get my eyes out of his CUNNING but LOVELY SMILE ^^ and feel so breathless when watching their KISS

In next ep 12 i wacth the preview see taht Yu shu ( ZHi Shu 's little brother) after eating Xiang Quin food , he had some bad sick and Xiang Quin feel sorry for that ...she cried on ZS shoulder ( so tough ^^!! their love become more clearly deep )
And so surprise while Yu Su saw his brother secret KISS with Xiang Quin ( how lovely they are !!! ^^)

Will thix film end in ep 13??!! I heard some rumor that it may be have more than 14ep !!! how about the truth ???

this series is so cute, i love it. i think the girl who plays ziyue is really pretty- tiffany hsu wei ni. too bad there isnt a thread on her...i think its really interesting that she's mixed but grew up in taiwan and can speak fluent chinese. i wonder if she can speak english or italian? anyway, can't wait for the next episode! there's so much more interesting stuff in the manga i hope they continue with the series.

I actually think Ariel Lin is really pretty despite what other ppl say. She might not be gorgeous in the series but she didnt use her looks for the role..but her talent

I find Ah Jin totally adorable in this serious. Quite a pity that his character has to stay in an unrequited love through out the series (at least for the first part of the series) unlike XQ who actually won over ZS despite the many hardships and differences. I was scanning through the episodes again today and I came across Ah Jin's singing in Ep 5, which I had not noticed before. He sounded pretty decent to me and I really liked the song. Does anyone know where I can find the song?

Oh the anticipation. I can't wait to see episode 12 when ZS leans over and kises XQ and was unexpectedly caught by his younger brother. Oh this is another sign that he has fallen for our clumsy, determined, sometimes overly desperate XQ .

Joe is pretty skinny eh? When he has a shirt on his body looks fine and his height is to die for, but without a shirt, i think he looks too skinny for my taste. =p

I totally agree with you! Jiro Wang has done an awesome job portraying this mighty desperate guy! He's hilarious! You should watch his new TV series where he's the lead: KO One (there's a thread for it already in this forum - check it out).

This drama is very funny and i like the female lead in this series. She deliver a good job to play the character, she is funny and cute in this series.

yeah same here... i had 3 finals in a row plus a ton of work due the week before the 3 finals...i had like 4hrs of sleep every nite for 2 weeks. Strangely enough, I can stay up and watch ISWAK as soon as clubbox finishes DL, even if it is like 4 am. LOL can't wait for next ep!

I'm glad that this series doesn't seem to be ending in ep 13, but kinda want it to end so I can finally see Zhi Shu admit his love for Xiang Qin. And I don't want to see so much draggy in the storyline.

Maybe Joe in the wedding dress is from a cut scene. Like probably Xiang Qin daydreaming what Zhi Shu would look like dressed as a girl if they lost the bet of the tennis match in ep 8 or something.
