Maybe that guy going for XQ 'cause he sees that they're both in the same boat. As in liking someone who doesn't reciprocate their feelings. So he goes for XQ, 'cause he believes he is just as likable as ZS and XQ should just go for him. And not pine away for ZS.

About ZY's sister, I think seeing that guy (who's in the same year as her) with XQ made her realize her feelings for him. So that's why after the fight between him & Ah Jin ZY's sis says like what does XQ have that she doesn't so she kisses him.

Well, I have officially decided to catch up with the rest of the twdrama world and watch "It Started with a Kiss." It's like WZBQW all over again-- thank goodness finals are almost over, otherwise i'd be totally screwed. I've only watched up to episode 5... so I don't know what happens after, and I haven't bothered to read the posts cause I know I'll feel compelled to download, and I have finals to study for (uni is sooooo hard!) and then I'll fail school =( But nonetheless, this show is very addicting, more in the sense of how DBY was addicting... but not the same way WZBQW was... One can definitely tell that this was a manga adaptation as opposed to an 'original' drama.

Anyways, I just wanted to cast this out: does anyone else think that Xiang Qing's two girlfriends are actually really BAD friends? I've only watched to episode 5, so I don't know much more...and at first I thought they were really loyal and nice (at the beginning when Xiang Qing just completely DIED after she confronted Zhi Shu), but then I saw the eps where she moved into the Jiang house and blah blah blah...and then they steal her photographs and then use her to make Zhi Shu teach them math...and I was just like 'Wow..Xiang Qing is either really naive or really really really nice.' Anyone else feel that way? Or maybe I'm just thinking too much? They're SO mean to Xiang Qing honestly... I feel bad for HER for having such two bad girlfriends. I mean, I know if my friends took a personal photograph that I specifically asked NOT to be spread around-- I would kill them if they did...

I guess I'm one of the ones who still loves this series more & more as each episode is shown. I liked episode 12 (I guess they cater to my tastes hehe) I think it's really hard to watch an entire series in piecemeal and be excited about everything. Even so, I still love how it follows the manga for the most part - which includes the ghost scene, and I think it's pretty much just like how it was shown. As for the scene when ZS kisses XQ on the lower lip, I thought it was very effective & sweet. Effective - because the purpose, I think, is to show that ZS has these feelings for XQ that sometimes he can't completely control and he kinda lets these feelings leak out in different situations. Finally, this time his brother witnesses it. Besides, she might wake up if it was anything more.

I thought the beginning scenes where she soo worried about YS were moving. It's right in her character - as I would fully expect XQ to panic, be hysterical (reminds me of manga girls), while at the same time, expecting ZS to be the one to calm her down & let her know what to do. When XQ was crying in the hospital - I felt that she really was worried that ZS would get mad, based on his previous reactions to her. It was sweet how he comforted her - just very simple hugs & a few words, but ZS eyes say it all - his heart was softened… I think Joe did a good job there. I also liked where XQ encourages ZS to be a doctor.

As for Ah Jin, I like his character b/c I think it's a very good contrast to ZS's character. They are like polar opposites in all ways, but they both care for XQ.

I'm hooked to the OST so I bought the cd. I love the song sung by just Lara "kou jin yi dian dian" and the song by the newcomer. They very sweet & the lyrics are nice and fitting for the storyline.

according to the show's website, zs kisses xq 2 times w/o her knowing! once in the hospital and another time when the family visits zs at the summer resort where he works. that's where zs kisses xq under the tree and the brother sees. this should happen in eps. 14 (i am guessing). wow, something more for us to look forward to!!!

So ZS is going to kiss XQ and his brother is going to see it again?! Wow hmm I hope he tells her eventually or at least tell his mom, because you know she'll tell the whole world. Then there's no telling exactly how happy XQ will be!

And I just wanted to add that the scene in the hospital with XQ PZY and her sister and the 2 nurses all fighting for ZS was beyond hilarious! Especially when he ended up saying that he likes girls who are quiet... hahaha I was just cracking up!

haha i tink the show is getting more n more interesting compared to the beginning where i thought was kinda of a slow start but now zs is starting to show more n more affection for xq with jealousy n stolen kisses and oso making me wanna laugh when he holds back his feeling for her when it is obvious the word jealous is spread across his face which i tink will happen again in episode 13 so i m really looking forward to the next episode

wow this episode 8 was good good ^^...so funny at the beginning while the head of the doll was switch for Joe's head hehehe....and Joe was so sweet with XQ in this episode ^^ so adorable...cute cute ^^ this kiss was so fast hehe...no time to really enjoy lol

Me too! I'll support ISWAK no matter how long it is. I hope it's around 20 episodes too... cause I always feel like the ones that are 15 or less always just rush the ending. But it's all personal preference as everyone is different... so we'll see what the producers give us.

Spoiler (Kinda) - I'm not sure exactly how this is going to play out in the drama… but I thought in the manga - that kiss is kinda "stolen" (I guess "unexpected" is a better word)- I mean all ZS's kisses to XQ are kinda like that. I think it's a very emotional conversation btw XQ & ZS in the rain, and when ZS kisses her, she's very surprised. So I think that's why she seems kinda strained. Just a thought.

I rewatched some of the earlier episodes last night - and its amazing to see the progression of ZS in the show. A lot of my favorite parts in this show thusfar as very sutle, light or simple as opposed to huge/eventful dramatics scenes that we see in other shows.

I'm dying until its SUnday!!! I hope another actress won't replace her because she'll just be compared to Ariel like 24/7. It definitely won't be the same and the director should stick to his words...not continue unless the ORIGINAL cast comes back.
