Oh..if u compare the jap drama version of zs, the taiwan version and the manga version, the coldest/most unlikable is the jap drama version. The manga's version is very close to the taiwan's version and the only reason why joe's zs appears more affectionate is prob that it is dramatised=) .the manga zs is sweet too, thats why i was hooked on the comic..the next ten books(after marriage) are even sweeter.!! so iswak 2 will be fantastic!

one last note, i personally think that although we see Zhi Shu from time to time emotionally hurt Xiang Qing, but we also get to see from his facial expressions, his subtle actions once he realizes Xiang Qing's broken heart that he too does not feel comfortable. that he knows his wrongful doings, however because of certain circumstances he cannot confront those problems and resolve them in an open manner. he instead, most of the time, resolve them subtly

i've browsed through the ISWAK photobook but i dint buy it. its mostly pictures from the drama of course and they have a few pages devoted to each actor/actress. where they talk about i think the drama etc. if ur buying only for joe's section, i wouldn't recommend this. because its only a few pages of his interview.

i bought the ISWAK novel instead but kinda regretting it now. because there isn't anything that i don't know already. maybe i'll sell it away...

as for when the vcd will be selling in SG...the last time i asked the lady said before CNY but looking at the schedule now, its impossible. but im pretty sure once the drama finish showing in TW u can buy the vcd in SG already. seems like this drama is one hot one...

I agree with the last part too! whenever zs does something bad and he notices xq is unhappy, he will look uncomfortable too..eg the part wheere xq packed lunch for him to go office and said that whatever she prepared is good for the brain. Zs replied that if that is the case, xq should eat it instead. She seemed upset, and immediately, u can see from zs's expressn that he feels bad too, and he took the lunch box in the end=)

but as for ah jin..well, he did eat the food too=))

i watched de japanese drama oredi when ISWAK just started. now that I'm so addicted to ISWAK with ariel and yuan chang in there as ZS and XQ, if now I am to compare japanese one with this one, this one is sooooooo..... much better and this one follows the manga very closely compared to the jap one. the jap one is very compact, only 6 episodes.

If you want, you could download it and watch 1 or 2 episodes before buying.

I quite like it=) if u can read chinese, u can see how the director and cast worked together..lotsa behind the scene stories..lotsa pics but more of the show and everyone..not just of joe and ariel. Ariel's diary is nice though..plenty of very pretty pics of her:) and a small section on filming iswak.



Oh one more thing..when xq was wking part time, zs saw her and secretly looked at her work for a while before moving away!

I just realized that on eps 9, ZS told XQ how he felt after he read her love letter. So, I think the point when ZS starts to like XQ is after he read her love letter .
I also agree...whenever ZS realized he did something bad to XQ he'll look uncomfortable. Such as in this eps (9), he said that the shirt that XQ bought for him is too expensive and he doesn't want it. Then XQ felt bad, she said "Oh so you don't like it. Sorry, I don't know what kind of pattern that you like". Then ZS said "I'll take it after we get back but for now you can wear it".
I think the reason he said he doesn't want it not only because it's too pricy but also because he doesn't want her to get sick. Arghh how sweet

There one episode, Xiang qin leaving..then zhi shu did not look at her,when she was saying good-bye to them...he was actually quite upset, when she was leaving, but he acted as if he don't care abt her leaving.
He will also feel bad in treating her that way..

as for the shirt thing, remind me of the massager xiang qin gave him...
She worked just to gave him that...at first he don't want, in the end, he accept it & also take photos with her.

I just realized something.. Winnie (the director) was also in episode 15, right? When XQ daydreaming about coming over to ZS' apartment and gave him the miniature house she made, and in her thought she was thinking what if she disturbed ZS and his gay boyfriend ' Winnie was that gay boyfriend, wasn't he?

the jap drama one i think is not bad too...but not as good as the taiwan version...is like totally two diff version...the way they started the kiss is diff if i remember clearly.. haha because i watched it like 8 years ago.. that time I tried to find the jap version to re-watch but chanced upon this taiwan version which is nicer and longer!!

I watched it and i liked it that time. But compared to Tw's version, the jap version pales. First both lead guys are very hot but in the manga, zs is supposedly much taller than xq and very gd in sports..the jap actor looks very cool..but more pretty/less sporty/not much taller than xq.

Also, for the lead actress, xq wins hands down! the jap actress did a good job and was hilarious..but she simply looked SO diffn from the manga's xq: the hair, the height, the face...(sorry i read the manga first so will always compare)..xq is more of sweet and blur which ariel portrays very well..for the jap actress..it was more of ugly and stupid..

ZY's character was also portrayed by this not-very-pretty character.

In terms of plot too!! thejap version very diffn from manga..so the lead actor was SUPER COLD..nearly NO sweet parts as well..no secret kisses..even their first kiss was cold..very sad. So at the last ep when the jap's zs finally realised he likes xq, it was super unbelievable. ""very abrupt ending too.and not much chemistry.

humm but in a manga ..Naoki Irie suppose to be really COLD
but still have some sweet part in Japanese drama too lol

I also agree. The Jap ZS is way too cold. Even the ZS in the mange is cold, but not as cold. In the manga, ZS stlil shows some sweetness towards XQ sometimes, but the Jap ZS is kinda ignoring her all the time.
As for the XQ, I like the Jap one veyr much before reading the manga, but after that, this Jap XQ is nowhere near the one portrayed in the manga. Our Ariel is better more of the sweet, cute type.
As for the love, I can't find any moments between them that suggest ZS loves XQ in the Jap ver, kinda disappointing '
