Okay there're a lot of comments about episode 19 and I'm very excited!!! Really there're a lot of feelings that I can't tell when I watched episode 19. Almost cry and laugh at the same time hahaha....

And yes I also got black out on icefish version...hmm and I wonder about the bed scene. Do you guys still remember, on one of the picture ZS hold/read a book while he lay down in XQ's bed. However, I didn't see it in icefish version. So I wonder where is it going??? Hmmm....

Oh... i don't have time to translate it astar since i need to sleep... but i'm sure someone here will. But skimming it really quick... a lot of the message is about rules & regs for his fans and meeting/seeing him - particular when it's not a public/work event. like in what types of situations where he doesn't like people taking photos etc or prior incidents with fans being outside his home - things of that nature.

ISTWAK epi 20 will be 90mins and not 30mins as seen from the schdule of ctv and someone from a forum mentioned that the next show starting date is feb 19 10pm SO NO MORE 30MINS OF ISWAK ITS 90MINS NOW!!! HURRAY! I think there's enough time for both weddings. As in the actual one n xq imaginary one. Xq look so pretty in the gown!!!! ((:

Joe was mainly explaining on his opinon and views of the fans knocking on his door..he wasn't really mad but he just felt that it can be scary for any strangers to knock on your door just like dat - u might not know the real motive of the strangers

He also have forgiven the fan who has apologised to her and he explained and felt sorry that due to some reasons, he has rejected to take pic with the fan

He kinda explained why he at times has to be 'nasty' - he wish his fans would put themselves in his shoes

Lastly he wish everyone happy , healthy and young and he will at times pop in the forum like 'ghost' ...hahaha

just got done watching the episode. it was so good even with all the spoilers they had during the special episdoe last week. cant wait to watch next sunday's episode, even if it is the last episode. really looking forward to Part two whenever that will be, but i'll be patience. i think the wait will be worth it, hopefully the chemistry between ariel and joe will last.

i just watched episode 19! OMG!!!!!!! ZS is soooooooo sweet towards XQ!!! i think my neighbours must think im a crazy gal because i couldn't help but scream when he proposed to XQ!!!

i downloaded the YDY version and actually the first half is a teeny bit messed up. u can hear the words spoken before the lips move. so it doesnt tally with what u see.

i noticed the words spoken b4 the lip movement thing too....now i dunt kno wat version i should keep....i guess i'll keep both for now....episode 19 was very good...i loved every part of it....ZS is sooo sweet...really can't wait to see episode 20....i'm very happy to hear tat the last epi. will be 90min. long instead of 30min.....but i hope they r not makin us wait 2 weeks for it.....i dunno wat i'm gonna do wen ISWAK ends!

about joe's msg tat he left in joe'sfamily... it's a long story....^^ well every single msg there he wrote himself.. he will check the " talk to joe" part.. if he has time LOL..
he is filming in china now for his new film.. then he always remind his fans not to go and see him but then one day one fans of his knock on his door in the hotel.. he was frightened then asked her to leave immediately.. and then he left a msg immediately and again telling all of his fans not to visit him again.. then a war between china's fans and taiwan's fan started... taiwan's fans blamed china's fans of disturbing and china's fans blamed taiwan's fans of not thinking on the fan's situation... and somemore some of them they fight on politics issue SWTZ...and the little fans who visited him wrote an apologize letter..then one day later he left msg again... explaining tat he was not angry juz frightened ( of being kidnapped or sth.. ) and he has accepted the fan's apology and i think he was trying to stop the war and yes...success! ( they stop arguing on this topic..so i guess it's ok now.. )

OMG i tink that episode 19 is REALLY REALLY GOOD because ZS was REALLY REALLY SWEET to XQ compared to last time n i love the scene when he shared the bed with her n said he really like her haha but er... can sumone upload the parts that was cut off in icefish because i kinda downloaded that version n just realised that there are some parts that was cut off n i don't wan to miss or skip any part of the show... thanks a lot

I downloaded both version. Icefish has cut off some scenes from Ep 20 preview and there was a few 'blinking' moment in between. That's the only differences, I noticed.

To tell the truth, i was a teeny weeny bit sick of everything. The wait for ep 19 was dreadfully long..but it was ALL WORTHWHILE! . Episode 19 reminded me of everything i loved about ISWAK...kinda feel like listing all the things that make this my fav TW serial (and i have watched many of them!)

1) Well, the OST. Great songs sang well by great singers. The fast songs were cute and sweet, the slow songs filled with emotion.

2) The plot: Tells us how love can change a person. Tells us how much people can do for love and sacrifice. Tells us that we have to work hard for our happiness, it might not guarantee success but at least we tried. Tells us about friendship and kinship.

3) The pace of the plot: Many feel that some parts of the series was slow.I personally beg to differ. The slow parts added emotion and helped us get to know and hencefore feel more for the characters. Most of the drama moved along at a great pace with wonderful comic timing. I love how the director can make me nearly cry one moment (for instance Uncle Cai crying when zs asked to marry xq) and in the very next moment, make me laugh heartily (when zs's mum rushed upstairs to take the videocam )

4) How close it was to the original manga. That is very much appreciated by a manga fan.

And last but nt least, the very lovable characters and the wonderful chemistry and acting!!!!
XQ: she appears so dumb, so ordinary..but u cant help liking her and admiring her. Ariel really did a good job and she is actually very pretty!

ZS: One word: HOT. Joe brought the character to life and was totally believable as the guy all girls would swoon after

The parents: All cute, funny, wanting the best for their children.

Xiao Ke Ai: hahahah it's so Big,, fluffy and adorable!!!!!!

YS: his r/s with xq is sooo sweet and he is a great child actor

ZY/Jason: comic relief and they are likable, just can't hate them. ZY is very pretty too!

ZY's sister and WR: cute

Ah Jin: My third favourite character after xq and zs. His love for xq was sooo..touching and he is a really talented actor considering it is his first time. When he cried because xq rejected him..i was like awwww...

XQ's two best friends: comic relief and they were the ones who always told zs about xq.

Ah Jin's friends: haha..dumb and cute...

Is there any one i missed out??????? Are there other reasons y we shd love iswak???

BUT not to say it is a perfect drama..
Grouse 1: I didnt like the delay of ep19..lose momentum
Grouse 2: HuiLan- she is...i dunno..not likable? I guess it is acting..still very stiff.

anyway, i love episode 19, like everyone else here do! my favourite scene was the bed scene, and i was smiling throughout while watching it! especially when ZS thought that all that he did was obvious enough that he likes her! so so sweet!

i know traditional weddings with the bride wearing the gown and all is very cliche for a television show, but still, personally, no matter how cliche it is, i will still want them to be married the normal way, so i'm hoping that ZS and XQ will marry the conventional way! i want it to be as romantic and sweet as possible! hee!

i especially love the bed scene cos it was so sweet and ZS really say so much touching words that i am beginning to like ZS this character more and more... he is now more human and not so cold anymore haha...
the rain scene was okae... but mabbe it has been shown so many times already during the preview and during the ISWAK special dat it was like not much of a hyped as compared to the bed scene...

Oh wow.. after watching episode 19 for like the third time, here's my 2-cent:

- It's pretty unusual to see the change in ZS attitude throughout the whole episode. At the beginning, he looked so lost and confused.. something that we've never seen in ZS. In the past, he always covered his frustation with his coolness and cynicism. Last night, he was totally not himself, and i think he realized there's only one person who can cause him to be that way.. Oh, the sweetness of love ' And then, during the second half of the episode, ZS was so gentle towards XQ and to see him acted lovey dovey was a big shock, not just for me but for all of us i guess. But, we have waited for that time to come for months!! so, all is good

- It was the first time I saw XQ fuming. Maybe all of her frustations and anger towards ZS were finally burst out. When ZS confronted her, she was so ready to leave him, once and for all, although she knew that she still loved him. If ZS didn't make a move and kiss her, I think she would've left him for real. But, thank god that didn't happen.

- As everybody has mentioned, Jiang Mama just cracked me up. When ZS proposed to XQ in front of everyone, it was a pretty emotional moment, I even got teary myself, and suddenly Jiang Mama ran upstairs and grabbed her video camera... that was tooooo funny.. Oh, then she and the dad sneaked up to peek ZS and XQ having their "private time".. and ZS was just like "whatever"......

- The person who i most pity in this episode is Ah Jin.. After 5 years of waiting, and a couple of dates that put his hopes up, he realized that he was just not good enough after all. He must've think of himself as a loser... to have the girl that you adore offer her lips to be kissed but with sad tears from her eyes..

- The rich girl... Blah, I couldn't care less about her..

- It was pretty emotional when XQ's dad was so touched by the Jiang family when they put up his and XQ's picture up on the wall.. and he said something about being able to feel like family once again. That feeling must be so precious for him. Not only he has an additional son in law, but his entire family too!!

- I'm glad they decided to put 90 minutes of episode 20. It'd go by so fast, I can't even imagine what my life would've been like without ISWAK every sunday. Well, i guess we'll talk about then when it's really over.

- In the mean time, keep the postings coming gals *of course, not including spam*!

Hi everyone. i am a newbie, but it doesnt mean i havent watched the series or read your comments. I have read them all, and have been doing so for the last month or so.

Anyway just wanted to thank the ppl that put iswak on youtube- the only way i can watch it and hope eps.19 wil be up soon.

Just a couple of questions that really bug me......

1. in the mvs, when xq has curly hair, does the parts actually happen?
2. in the show, when zs and xq are in town and then lose eash other...does this happen?

The scenes in the MV is irrelevant to the series. They just got the idea of ZS and XQ to put into the MV. Hope that answers your question. Haha...and you did your homework to prepare yourself for your first post!
