I LOVE THIS SERIES! At first I was hesitant whether to watch it or not (not another bad adaption of a japanese manga, I thought), but I was so surprised! The series were great! I did have my doubts about Joe Cheng acting as Naoki (and I still do) because I thought he wasn't cool and good looking enough (no offens to Joe Cheng fans, this is just my opinion). But he had such good chemistry with Ariel Lin that I can't imagine any other guy acting as Naoki in this series with her. I still think the Naoki in the japanese manga is alot cooler and meaner towards Kotoko than Joe Cheng is in the taiwanese version, but I don't find it to be a bad thing. But I don't think I really like how they made him wear a dress on his wedding day. It totally ruined his image as a cool guy. I could never imagine Naoki in the manga wear a dress on his wedding day. He is too cool for that.

Anyway, I really liked this series and I recommend those who haven't watch it to quickly do. You won't be disappointed. It's my favourite taiwanese series so far. Hope the second part will be just as great and not a big disappointment like Meteor Garden 2.

ok u konw i noticed somet things in the drama
in the morning ZS always read english newspapers and all the books that he was looking out in the library are english and in one scene where XQ was bothering ZS at the library she was like ooh what are u talknig about i can understand so she took his book, which looked like a english medical book, thats werid.

ive never read the manga. But this Drama is Really really awesome, I THINK BY fAR MY FAVORITE it wont bore u at all maybe at the end a little bit but its really really good, im like obessed with it and i havent been obessed with anyhting for this long before well except MG but i seriously think that this drama is better than MG

Now that you mention it, ZS was reading a lot of English textbooks. But I think he only spoke English once.....I think.

This is my fav drama of all times too and I've never been that obsessed with a character (and the real actor) too. Haha....ZS is too perfect, dreamy, and handsome. The kind of guy that treats the girl mean and nasty, but deep down he loves her more than anything is very attractive.

since no more ISWAK to be watched every sunday, now i spend my free time by listening to its OST and..
i made the storyline from its songs, but actually i only can understand about 20% cause my chinese is not good, maybe i can say really bad ...

here the songs in order that i think follow ISWAK's storyline:
1. Yu Dao (Meet) - XQ n ZS met n then XQ just want to be closed to ZS and ZS will let her to be closed to him
2. Kao Jin Yi Dian Dian (Get Closer) - XQ wants them to become closer.. closer .. n closer
3. Er Zuo Ju (Prank) - after they became closer, ZS always teasing XQ and she thinks that ZS just take her as jokes
4. Say You Love Me - because XQ always get confused about ZS, she wants to know the type of girl he likes n finally in final episode we can see that XQ wanted ZS to say he loves her

the songwriters did great jobs

i don't include Hou Hui (Regret) cause i think that's the song especially for Ah Jin
n about the other songs, i don't know how to interpret

I never really understood the lyrics, because I speak Vietnamese, so I browse site that tanslated the OST into English and all I have to say is that the songs were really good and it really matched ISWAK.

I don't think Joe is the kind of guy that when you first look at him, you think he's very handsome. You know...not the first instinct of a great looking guy. But when you look at him more and slowly, you find that he has this kind of attractiveness that is not very common in other guys. Hmm....don't know how to describe it or whether you guys know what I'm talking about.

After watching Joe portraying as ZS, I couldn't really imagine anyone else acting as ZS. It just doesn't feel right. Do you guys have anyone in mind that could act as ZS because I can't think of any at the moment.

I agree, Joe doesn't have in-your-face appeal but as the series goes on, his Zhi Shu-ness is toooo hot to resist! Besides, thats good because it allows for his acting chops to shine through. This means we watch it because he makes the character hot, not because we're just in love with his face...even though its a pretty good face BTW,

and honestly i dont want anyone else but Joe to play ZS he's perfect for the role and Ariel is perfect for the XQ role, cant find any better actors then them =)

throughout the entire series, i think everyone did a great job, nothing seems to be wrong with the acting, maybe except for Hui Lan and her grandfather in episode 20, they seem kinda hesistant and just didnt seem real..

speaking of episode 20, did anyone notice that when Director Bai came out to talk to ZS & XQ, the different shots of their heads are kinda off? its like backview and they're leaning on each other, then front view and its just XQ leaning on ZS, then back to backview with them leaning on each other, then back to front view and with them leaning on each other...welps...i've found a blooper! lols

I've just finished this series. It is so cute, especially the scene in the last episode where they dressed up in black, and were hugging each other. And I like Xiang Qin's character because she doesn't whine. Rainie's character in DBY whines and is somewhat annoying and childish. XQ's character is cute, she's calmer and not so typical, completely different from other female characters in Taiwanese Idol drama.

and true. raini's character whines and cry alot while xiang qin works hard for wat she believes in w/o complaining. each day we c her working , striving to her goal .. with great difficulty i might add.

Even though i speak mandarin i can't understand what they're singing. i have to actually see the words in order to know. All i care is the beat... and the high and low pitch. what they sing don't really matter to me for some reason. oh well, all the songs in this series are alright.. i just don't really like the opening one. but everything else is ok.

Yea, I noticed that while I was rewatching ep.20 while I was doing my hw. At first I thought I was just seeing things, but I guess that it isn't just me.

i juz finished episode 20 and i love it sooo much! i juz can't help but watch episode 19 and 20 over and over again. eventhou the last episode is far from the manga except the part where Yushu told XQ abt her 2nd kiss at the hospital and where ZS compliments how cute she is at their wedding, besides that they changed everything, but the changes didn't disappointed the fans and it makes the story more interesting and more giddish and sweet!^^

thanks to burles of youtube that ive been able to watch the last episode with subs. u juz don't know how happy and grateful i am right now!!! thank u again!!!!

^ where XQ kneels for ZS sake and for his dad's company. she's really a very impulsive girl doesn't she? even standing her own ground of not giving up and still continues to kneel with high spirit and hopes. ZS has no choice but join XQ in surrender because he can't persuade XQ, so he rather juz join her and it's better to accompany her and juz ignoring how stupid would they look at others than to leave her all alone by herself.

^ His light quick stolen smack at Ariel. What makes it special is that She didn't know and the suprise in her face is real.

^ Director Bai saw the both of them kneeling outside. XQ in his arms and her head on his shoulder. first public display of affection and ZS was usually get embarassed on such things.

^ the part where they've been able to get the chance to talk with Director Bai and ZS keeps on supporting her and guiding her all the way becoz XQ seems to strain her knees in kneeling too much. he's now so caring.

^ when XQ has been asked by the Director if she's willing to give up their relationship for the company, XQ & ZS argued abt it. becoz XQ agreed but ZS don't want to. showing that he really don't want to let go of her anymore.

^ at the sofa in their wedding suit, that's the first time been confirmed that ZS do really love her. he made a sentence that makes XQ misunderstood which makes her hurt, ZS got worried quickly and comforted her by telling her that he'll keep on loving her everyday till they grow old. such a simple promise but still, who won't melt at that? then ZS pouted for a kiss and XQ grant him a smack. also the first playful ZS appeared.

and the ending up to the end is too much to enumerate and will take me forever becoz from the beggining up to the end is great and sweet! especially of course their wedding kiss! all in all, it is really adorable. it seems that their laughter there can't be faked and it juz really proves that they really enjoyed doing ISWAK so much. Joe and Ariel juz keep on laughing and laughing!

countdown to 2007 continues!

I just finished watching this series! Very cute and sweet~ It starts off interesting, but I have to say that around 15+ episodes it starts to get draggy, that is until it finally gets to the part where Joe proclaims his love for Ariel =)

yay!!! i'm finally finish watching this series!!! i love it so much!!!! i thought the best part is the wedding part...gonna change color for this part so i won't be ruining it for those who haven't watched it yet

I love how they wanted there wedding to be unforgettable so they switched clothing...it was really unique haha really funni seeing Joe in a wedding dress but i havta say i thought Ariel looked better in the dress then Joe did...hehe It was funni how he fell so many times in that dress...the thing that bugged me a bit was that the dress was coming down since he doesn't have much of a chest (which i am glad about cuz it is kinda gross to have man boobs...) haha but i couldn't help but notice that he was wearin sandels with the dress(noticed when they fell in the water)

But overall i loved the last epsiode!!! so glad that there is going to be a second series coming out!! so excited but it not coming out til 2007...seems kinda far from now...but i'm sure that time will fly by fast(hopefully) I'm goin to be looking forward to watching the second season. Let's hope that the second season won't be crappy like most second season...hehe

Although Joe might not be cute as Mike, I find that Joe's character to be really cool---because you never actually *find* out what his true feelings are (of course, we, the viewer, already know)! This drama was so good!! ^.^ It was so sweet... At first, Joe played so cold hearted and cool, but later on, he gained my respect as a gentle-man. XD Ariel Lin's pretty, too, acted so strong in the show

Renaming the files only doesn't work. U need Vobsub codec in order for the subs to appear automatically. I f u have players like MPC or Bsplayer, U can load the subs manually.
