My friend just showed me this serie, and my god! i didn't even sleep at all while binge-watching it!!! This is soooo cute and funny! (ok, so i'm a bit late, hehe but still, it's better late than never).

I've been skimming around looking in here and AF's galla section for ISWAK's images (eps. ZS and JQ). but god only knows, there's 80+ pages to go through. IS it possible for those who have "special" or unique pics of Joe and Ariel to post it? I just love them so much in here!

They look like they are pretty close in real life events too, which is really sweet--afterall, who's so much more entertaining to watch if two people has chemistry onscreen and off.

Aother question, hehe is Joe/Ariel single? wahhh.. i know this is going too far, but it'd be nice to see them as real couples la. ^_~.

yeah, i wasn't scared but definitely surprised. hehehehe... I'm glad that he's not prissy and worried about his image all the time...most asian actors are like that and i dunno, i like guys who are more guy-like..lol does that make sense?

and originally i thought he was a really bad actor (especially compared to ariel who's relatively a seasoned pro ) but after watching countless NG's and specials, i realised he's sooo goofy, that he actually has to be a really talented actor (with great acting restraint) to pull off his character zhi shu. he is really believable as this character. cuz based on his personality, i see him as the next adamsandler type of actor lol...

I just finished watching ISWAK and I really enjoyed it very much. XQ was somehow so stupid, guess her I.Q shouldn't be high! But she was so sweet, she never gave up on ZS. I think ZS was a bit too boring with his expressions at the beginning but later he changed and I started to like him very much!
The pittiest in this series is Ah Jin... he loved her for so long, as much as XQ loves ZS, but in the end he lost...

Longing to watch ISWAK 2!

Gosh, I seriously have nothing else to do after finish watching ISWAK!! xD And 2007 seems like a lifetime away! ><

actually, i found the wedding a little weird cause i remember the tennis match, XQ's trying hard to win the match, she even didn't care about her injured leg rather than to see ZS's wearing skirt and run around the tennis field if they lost..
so how come she pushed ZS to wear gown in their wedding? don't you think it's weird? before she didn't want ZS to feel embarrassed but then she wanted him to wear a wedding gown..

haha.. so confused but still i love watching it

I guess for the tennis match, because it was a bet between ZS and the other guy so XQ doesn't want ZS to lose. But for the wedding, I guess it's sort of a way for ZS to prove if he's willing to sacrifice for XQ.

i loved this drama! unbelievably cute!!! and i loved the ending episode!!! hahahaha seing him in a dress was priceless! XD

this show has broken all barriers in the humor department. things you never imagine have been put into the show. i didn't think ZS would end up in a wedding dress. i didn't expect the family (except for the ladies) to strip buck naked in the pool, or that there would a gay scene at ZS's apartment. i dare say that most of our cultural taboos have been dramatized here.

i wish that they would increase XQ's intelligence more. i understand that the directors want to emphasize the "rich man marrying poor girl" motif here, so it's ok with me. nevertheless, if XQ could verbally spar like Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice - now we've got something to challenge the brainiac ZS, and that would make ZS work harder to win her, no?

hmmmm i dont think they did go butt naked in the pool...it could be me but i think i can see that the area is a different colour...i dont no....

Man, I just finished this drama and I loved it so much that I became an ISWAK addict! Joe Cheng & Ariel Lin makes a very cute couple<3! =)

felt super sorry for ah jin in the end though.... poor guy. i hope he finds a good girl and get over xiang qing >...< lol oh and i really didnt like the mixed girl's personality in the series.... man, always in the way... until the end. she looked pretty good after she started "siding" with xiang qing XP

me.. i have watch it afew years back... got the vcd... n i also got the comics... just LOVE ISWAK very much..

for me i find that if the jap version could be longer.. it will be way better... its too short.. but most jap dramas are short.. hai~~... n the XQ in jap version is stupid.. but not dump.. but the XQ in the taiwen version is like the comic.. DUMP + SLOW

but i can roughly guess what will happen in part 2:p... cause part 1 is like way too similar with the comic..

omg i love the mom too...omg shez SOO cute how she wanted ZS and xQ together since the VERY beginning...
omg and everytime she cried i cried with her...haha..
like in ep 19 when she went in to take a picture of ZS and XQ and shez like OMG I THink IM GONNA START TO CRY..and she did...haha i thought it was SUPER cute..

I miss this drama so much....now I compare all other manga adaptions to this drama....I'm starting to watch Goong, but it seems so boring compared to ISWAK....eventhough the set and costume is very beautiful....I must say Ariel and Joe are much better actors, and more natural....and it's definitely not as funny as ISWAK....but I'lll continue watching Goong....hopefully it'll catch my interest later....eventhough ISWAK caught my interest right away....awh I miss it so....I might have to rewatch it, heheh,

first time i watched this drama, i don't even like Ah Jin and i thought: hey this guy just too annoying and he just make the drama dragged for some times..
but then after i got into the story especially when he proposed to XQ n he cried.. he made me felt his feeling too, his true love for XQ just .. woahh don't know how to say it, rang ren gan dong
so finally i cried when he cried.. n in the end made me also like him

omg i love this series too! i dont know why i gave this a try but i dont regret it at all! it is the best i have ever seen so far! meteor garden cannot even compare to iswak's magnitude! i love the ost as well! it's the funniest series i have ever seen even more than nobuta wo produce. iswak just keeps you laughing and into it! the problems the characters! all of these things never get tiring and stupid! i definitely cannot wait for the next season in 2007! though it is a long time but i just love this series so much!

people are talking about a japanese adaptation of the manga? can anyone give me a link to where i might be able to get more informaiton on it? i would like to watch the japanese version and see if it is better compare to the taiwanese one! but come on, i mean, this one with ariel and joe is just tooooooo goooodddd! the best!!!! lol

i agree... ISWAK is really a good show... it has humour, love, family love, friendship, etc... really good... i can never get tired of watching this show... watched the whole show at least 6 times already... esp the wedding scene... watched dat part everyday... it makes me happy to see them get married haha... i even can memorise what they are saying during the wedding... OMG...

the money i spent buying the ISWAK VCDs and OST was definately worth it...

now the only thing left to do is to wait for 2007 to come and watch ISWAK2...

but somehow i wonder if ISWAK2 can really come out by 2007... i mean they haven even started filming yet... and its almost mid-march already... ISWAK took 1 whole year to produce, thats why it was of such high quality... hope they will produce an equally high standard ISWAK2 too... i don't mind waiting for a good show...

it will be disappointing if we all wait so long... and a sub-standard show is shown instead... that will be so anti-climax... and i tink all the ISWAK fans will be disappointed too...

I love this series very much, I specially like Ariel Lin, she very cute and adorable, feel very light and refreshing watching her.

the only thing I dont like is the ending (the wedding part) the dress code switching. It would have been nice to see them in a formal wedding, with the wedding dress Ariel's wearing while been film with Joe!!!

this is definitely the best drama with the best soundtrack.. i think i've listened to the songs like hundreds of times.. maybe even thousands i don't know ~
