Fans are eagerly anticipating their 3rd album, however it's unsure when exactly it will release. I recall an article that was posted in this thread a while ago stating that one of the guys has already finished recording his songs for the album, but I forgot which member...I think it was Jerry, but I'm not sure

the other 3 guys have been very busy

F3 absent, Tao Zi and Yang Cheng Lin send flowers.
Reporter: Chen Hui Zhen
July 31, 2006
F3 was absent at the farewell rites of ZXT’s papa Zhu Yue Ming. ZXT complied to the last wish of his father, which is to have low-key and simple funeral rites. He didn’t distribute any obituary notice to his friends in the entertainment industry, there was no one from the entertainment industry who went, only Tao Zi and Yang Cheng Lin sent flower baskets, F4 didn’t send, their assistants were the ones who sent “dianyi” condolences.
Yesterday, Manager Zhi Xiang Li said: “Originally ZXT didn’t want outsiders to know that his father passed away, as F3 not arriving, according to his understanding, Zhou Yu Min has filming of “Delicious Relations,” Wu Jian Hao is in Hong Kong, Yan Cheng Xu has some private things to take care of. ZXT doesn’t want to tire people because of his private family matters.”
However, even if they have exhausted all measures for a low-key funeral, almost all the company’s staff was utilized. They stood at the entrance to stop the media from taking pictures. So that the media will not influence his mood; reporters were not allowed to be inside 10 meters of the area. It is obvious that his management company is very thoughtful.

Thank u for the news manchie, I can understand why Ken did what he did, his father wanted him to have a low-key funeral, and he obeyed his father's wish

Though it would be nice if the other sent flowers at least, Rainie did...maybe F3 were still unaware of Ken's father's death

hello to all F4 sisters here!!Wen Hu Bao (July 31 issue):
When Vanness was interviewed regarding his comments on the recent rumors on Jerry and LZL's breakup, he said that he had not yet heard of the rumors because he had been on overseas promos recently. Although Jerry sends SMS and leave messages to him, yet he also havent got free time to call him up lately.
When asked if F4 already disbanded because he is now with Kangta, he said that it's unlikely that F4 would disband. " If there is a good project then we would work again together. Like Kangta in Korea who has another group, it doesnt matter."

F4 each showed their summer power
Source: Liberty Times
August 7, 2006
F4's Jerry, Zaizai, Ken and Vanness evenly sent out their summer powers. The entrance ticket sales for Jerry's The Hospital Charity Preview on August 13 are already sold out. Zaizai will go to China to promote "Silence" on the middle of the month, Ken's 2 year old "City of Sky" is still going strong, and birthday boy Vanness is in Hong Kong for a bithday meet. As each of the F4 is actively busy, a TV drama for them to star together again is far from never.
Among the 8 pm time slot programs, The Hospital will have a Charity Preview Screening on the 13th and about 3000 entrance tickets at the box office is already sold out, with more than half of it coming from Jerry fans of Japan. The Hospital Drama Supervisor Yu Xiao Hui fished out money from their own pockets to allot 8 to 9 Japanese translators and Jerry also alloted time to practice Japanese in order to thank the Japanese fans. When they prepare for the Preview Screening, the scene would be "oh hi yo!"
Zaizai's "Delicious Relationship" and "Flying Butterfly" are both TV and movie's top raters. For the "Silence" promo, he would go to Beijing on the 11th, as well as Shenyang, Shanghai and so on, and is about to proceed to Japan for the "God Mars" promo, to be with his female lead and present girlfriend Da S who first went alone to carry the promo.
On August 7, Vanness will happily celebrate his 28th birthday with the fans from Hong Kong. Compared with F3, Ken became thin and haggard because of the death of his father earlier. While his weight has not decreased, he is different from the easy and plump look he used to have 2 years ago in Yunnan when he was filming "City of Sky". Eating steamed rolls daily, staff had suspected that Ken grew fat that time probably because of too much eating of steamed rolls.

Extraordinary summer offerings of each of the F4 members.Dong Sen
August 7, 2006
F4’s summer offerings can attracts fans wonderfully, it can make their Asian fans go crazy! ZaiZai’s “Silence” has entered its highlight stage; to take advantage of this favorable momentum, the original soundtrack has been released. Yan Cheng Xu who hasn’t appeared for a long time is coming up with a “White Tower” on the 15th. Although Zhu Xiao Tian has loss his father, he is starring with Yang Cheng Lin in the very popular “City of Sky,” as for Wu Jian Hao today it is his birthday.
ZaiZai has finished filming “Silence” he will continue to be busy shooting with Patty Hou in the drama “Delicious Relations.” In the middle of August he will fly to Hong Kong to film the movie “Butterfly flies” with director Du Qi Feng. Although he is busy everywhere, Zai Zai has expressed his appreciation through leaving a message to his fans on the internet. It is reported that in the official website of “Silence” discussion area he has left a message: “Thank you everyone for your support. Many thanks that you have waited. Right now I can only say, you need not wait anymore, because I have come.” Idols who leave messages are very rare and it’s hard for fans to believe. It even made one surfer reply: “If you are ZaiZai, then I am Zhu Xiao Tian lah.” Finally, producer Angie Chai investigated; it was really ZaiZai who left the message.
Following ZaiZai with another drama, Yan Cheng Xu is coming out fan meeting for the “White Tower,” it will air on the 8 pm timeslot. Although this drama hasn’t aired yet, it will have a charity premiere on the 13th of this month, almost 3,000 tickets have been sold and more than half of them are Japanese fans. Yan Cheng Xu has been practicing his Japanese so that he can thank all his fans. “The Hospital” has also come out with a photo book and it has already been number one in sales. As with the other member Wu Jian Hao, he will be having a concert with Kang Ta in Beijing’s Citizen’s Hall. Towards the later part of the year, he will be releasing his second solo album, today is his 28th birthday, and he is going to celebrate it with his fans.
As for Zhu Xiao Tian after he finished with the burial of his father, he rushed and continued filming the big drama “The Legend of Chu Liu Xiang.” But before that, fans can first watch him with Rainie Yang in the drama “City of Sky” to solve the feeling of missing him.

"My Hero": the next step to metrosexuality?
(CRI)
Updated: 2006-08-11 10:33
When a tomboy won "Super Girl," a reality TV show broadcast by Hunan TV, arguments about gender characteristics became one of the dominant topics in Chinese society. "My Hero," a new reality TV show featuring all-male contestants, has attracted even more attention than "Super Girl" and even greater disputes.
The most serious controversy involves a contestant named Xiang Ding. Most female audience members 18 to 30 vote for Xiang Ding thanks to his cuteness and charming face. However, other audience members refuse to watch the program because of him, not other more manly contestants.
"I don't see his merit," an Internet user says about Xiang Ding. "He has a long and odd hairstyle and thick bangs, like a twig. With the same odd dress sense, he seems gaunt."
Xiang Ding is an extreme case in this competition. Contestants with strong bodies have mostly received a lukewarm reception from audiences. Instead, contestants with comely faces and mild tempers are more popular not only with the female judges, but also female spectators.
The term "metrosexual" refers to a heterosexual urbanite who rejects many macho attributes often linked to masculinity. He adopts many traits often associated with heterosexual females and gay males, such as expensive haircare and stylish clothes. It was first coined by British journalist Mark Simpson, and its usage has spread widely throughout the world.
In both western or eastern countries and reality or virtual worlds, men commonly associated with metrosexuality include David Beckham, Enrique Iglesias, Ross from "Friends," Takuya Kimura, F4 and Lee Jun Ki. They have the loyal following of the hearts of thousands of their female fans.
Some critics, such as another Internet user, Kevin, comment this phenomenon may pose a worrying danger in terms of the reproduction of human beings.
Other critics, such as Song Huaiqiang, thinks it is a misuse of women's rights. In China's male-dominant society, the public has tolerated Faye Wong brush cut and cool Li Yuchun's androgyny. However, it is difficult to give up the standards established for more than several thousands of years to admit the status of the metrosexual, including the less macho contestants on "My Hero."
However, society is changing quietly. Before the public dispute about this issue, countless metrosexuals have surfaced in Chinese society.

Aug 19 2006 12 05 AM
I know what you mean sis, not only are they famously known as 'F4', but they are also very popular and successful individually; and that is because of their pursuit going their separate ways...many people think that for them to go their separate ways is a bad thing for their group, actually it isn't, think of it this way...there are many groups out there who stick together all the time, sure they may be very strong when they are together, but maybe they are only popular when they are together, but what will happen to them if they disband? They will fade away more quickly because they are not as strong individually as they are together. But F4 is different; they all went their own ways, built up their own strengths and became so successful on their own, that when they come back together; with the combination of their individual talents and strengths, they will become an even stronger more successful group than they already are

So I'm glad they went their separate ways, it's beneficial for their group when they unite later on

hopefully they can come back as a group and release another album.... cos right now even 183club had already release their 1st album and understand that they are so famous now... don't want them to cover the fame of F4....whenever i saw the female F4, i always thinks when the real F4 coming back...
mzdeviL
Aug 23 2006 10 50 PM
Don't worry, 183 Club only became popular purely because of WZBQW, so of course their debut album would have much positive feedback.
Even though F4 hasn't worked together for a while, and they may seem like they are fading away, but they are not, they are still very much in the spotlight, except they are not standing together. They're still enormously popular, NONE of the other groups which are existing now can out-run their fame, not even 183 Club! Even though they are so popular now, but they still have a very LONG way to go if they want to catch up to F4!
I wouldn't expect too long for their 3rd album...I'm guessing maybe next year is the earliest?

Dear all,
As you can all see from my previous message that details from the china promotions has yet to be confirmed and somewhat slow-paced, I apologize for not being able to make prompt announcements regarding the events.
VanNess’ China promotion schedule is confirmed to be from August 27th to 31st, including a definite appearance at Hunan stations’ “kuai le da ben ying” with open attendances. Other notices are still under negotiation and we hope to announce the confirmed schedule shortly.
We have reserved three days, from August 28th –30th, for Ken and the production team to discuss his featured new movie “Tokyo Trial”, therefore details of the promotion campaign has not been settled. We greatly appreciate your patience.
Vic will join the shooting of movie "Butterfly Will Fly" directed by Johnnie To right after the promotion in Japan. Let’s anticipate his new work together.

F4 to cooperate again to film a drama, walks away with NT$ 40 million. Ge Fu Hong, Chai Zhi Ping joined forces and came out with the idea of getting idol group F4 to act as the Taiwan Tourism spokespersons, the tourism board came up with a NT$ 85 million budget proposal to push forward promotions in the Japan, South Korean area. F4 will be filming a tourism advertisement, and a 20 to 25 episode idol drama. According to our understanding, the four of them will have a 40 million plus budget.
Yesterday Chai Zhi Ping indicated: “I am responsible for the F4 cooperation as Taiwan Tourism Spokespersons and the production of the drama, advertisements, and other interrelated activity, we will be following the entire plan of Ge Jie. As for the compensation of the four individuals, filming expenses would approximately cost 10 million, I must find other sponsors for this endeavor.” The content of the drama hasn’t been decided, the initial proposal is to use song and dance styles. At the moment compensation for Yan Cheng Xu per episode is NT$ 500,000, Zai Zai and Zhu Xiao Tian each receive NT$ 480,000 and Wu Jian Hua gets NT$ 450,000 per episode, if you calculate the total for this four people its truly a big amount. At the present the 4 of them don’t belong to the same management, Yan Cheng Xu went solo, his management consultant Jiang Yi explained: “How do we arrange the drama part I also don’t know, we must talk again regarding the details la.”
The tourism board expressed we will be signing the contract regarding this drama proposal within the year, we need to finish 20 to 25 episodes and we need to pinpoint the television channels in the Japanese and Korea area. Taiwan’s 8 biggest attractions are the Imperial Palace, Taipei 101, Ri Yue Tan Lake, Ali Mountain, Yu Mountain, Kaoshiung Love Lake, Ken Ding, Tai Lu Pavilion; the 4 unique characteristics are the delicacies, night market, 24 hour travel, the people’s warmth, friendliness and hospitality. At present the Tourism Board is concentrating on the South East Asian region and requested Ah Mei to be the spokesperson compensation is said to be NT$ 7 million.

F4 gets 40 million to unite again as Taiwan Tourism AmbassadorsSource: Lian He Bao
http://udn.com/NEWS/ENTERTAINMENT/ENT1/3489135.shtmlAugust 27, 2006
Ge Fu Hong and Angie Chai join hands for F4 idols in a project to make them Taiwan’s tourism ambassadors. The tourism office also allotted an 85 million budget to promote “ a media plan for Korea and Japan international promo” where F4 will shoot Travel advertisements and also to film a 20-25 episode long idol drama. According to reports, F4 will immediately take away more than $40 million just for this project alone.
Yesterday, Angie Chai indicated, “ F4 unites as Taiwan’s Tourism ambassadors, and I will be responsible on proposing for the drama part. Other ads, pictorials and other related activities will be handled by elder sister Ge to plan. Regarding the division of the talent fees for F4, filming expenses will be already be about 10 million, so I have to look for other sponsors for the project.” Presently, the drama title and story is not been settled yet, and the initial proposal was to make it a song and dance drama presentation.
As of now, Jerry’s present talent fee per episode is $500,000, Zai Zai is $480,000, Ken is also $480,000 and Vanness is $400,000, so just for the talent fees of the four is already sky high. But the four now belongs to different management companies. Jerry has gone solo flight, and his manager and consultant Jing Yi Peng said, “I don’t know what plans for the drama parts are, and details must be discussed again, la!”
Tourism office expressed that these proposals for the travel promos will be inside a one-year contract. It would require completing a 20-25 episode video collection which will be aired in Japanese and Korean major TV channels. Taiwan’s eight major tourist spots National Palace Museum, Taipei Financial Center 101. Sunmoon Lake, Ali Mountain, Jade (Yushan) Mountain, Love River of Kaohsiung City, Kenting Nature Park and Taroko George National Park, will be featured, with its 4 major features like good food, night market, 24-hour available travel, and the friendly, courteous and hospitable people of the country,. Wow! 40 million!?
When the article stated that the guys are in different companies, did they mean that only Jerry has gone to a different company, while F3 are still under 'Comic Ritz'? I sure hope so!

Because I don't want F3 to be separated by different companies...though I think Vanness might have gone over to KangTa's company, but I hope that's not the case!
