Extracts from newpapers:
\Sing Tao
After a 10-hour flight to Bangkok, F4 wanted to take a breath of fresh air and go out to shop in the duty free shops. However, the security guards said, “You can’t go out, there’ll be a riot!”
In order to avoid their fans, F4’s flight was changed again and again. They even had to move to several lounges. Once they were discovered, fans surrounded them in less than 5 minutes. They had to “escape” and even went separate ways as the Pepsi team. At last, with the help of the security, they were able to visit the duty free and brought a lot of souvenirs back to Taiwan.
F4’s manager, Mr. Zhi used “great get-away” to describe their situation. “It was like a great get away. They had to avoid the media and the fans from following to prevent chaos.”
Oriental Daily
Pepsi’s marketing manager Ms. Li said, “F4, Jay and Jolin were playing polka cards and face painting in the waiting area. Everyone had the chance to be drawn on and Vanness had the most squiggles on his face that he had to rush into the washroom to wash it off before they boarded onto the plane.”
Taiwan Apple Daily
11:25 pm, F4 came out past the customs with 30 fans after them. They all had their sunglasses on, tucked their chins in and didn’t say a word. Ken who was in the front had a really black face. The walked faster leaving F3 following behind after reminding the photographer “Watchful behind you!”
Though F4 were really cool, their fans weren’t scared off. A Korean fan approached Ken and handed him a box of gifts. It was a blanket where they embroidered the cover themselves. Zai zai and Jerry were given 3 boxes of apples and chocolates. F4’s manager Mr. Zhi commented that this times task was really tough. Ken and Vanness had to hang on wires all the time. Though they didn’t get sun burnt, they had scratches here and there from wires they were hanging onto.

Pepsi commercial has come to an end When filming of the Pepsi commercial has come to an end, the 9 stars finally could relax and started acting in "self-directed shows" and "self-photo-shooting". Body covered with sand, chasing around in the caves, mutton meals everyday..all these scenes are taken down by the best director and camera man Vanness Wu while the best actor goes to Jerry Yan and Ken Chu.
Excluding the flight and transport time, f4 spent 5 days in Dubai filming the commerical. Thinking back, they only had half a day to shop and play but these 4 boys are always as energetic as ever. When they start work everyday, they will carry their big bags around and each of them armed with cameras and DV. Whenever there is free time, Vanness will take out his DV, aim at Ken, Jerry and Zaizai and start filming. His manager also became his best model and every of his move was taken down by the camera.
F4 will grab any opportunities to take photos, shooting themselves using different angles and equipments so as to record down their 7-days adventure. This is because its after half a year sinced they are together, because of their unique working place - a desert, and like what the manager say "they may not have a chance to come here again"
Scenes of f3 playing and chasing each other are taken down by Vanness. Scenes of the group fighting over water, Ken dozing off are taken by Zaizai. The sunset as well as the caves are scenes which the 4 of them love the most and during everyday's sun rise and sun set, they will position at their best angles and shoot themselves happily. However, sun set in Dubai is at 8pm, 3 hours later than Taiwan, and they have to wait patiently.
The four of them could not adapt to the food in Dubai as they have to eat mutton and "pao-ping" daily, it had a strange smell and they couldn't get use to it at all. However during this trip, Jay and Jolin were the focus of the media, and f4 was finally given a break and they played all the way as they may not have a chance to go abroad together in the near future.

Can F4 maintain their popularity?
Posted: April 30, 2004
Pepsi gathered their 9 stars and filmed a new commercial in Jordan. Among them is the group F4, who are popular across Southeast Asia. F4 really are popular all over Southeast Asia. In comparison, the fans in HK is considered diminutive. The release of “Meteor Garden” helps F4 to fame. Taiwan’s method of a group of handsome guys proved to be successful. But looking from another point of view, the four’s development has had some set backs lately.
Singing skills not the best
Honesty speaking, you can really say that F4’s looks are unprecedented. However, it’s a shame that their performing skills truly are inadequate. There has been criticism directed at the four saying that they needed other people to sing for them when they were recording their album and that advanced recording technology was needed.
F4’s spokesperson also thereupon criticized back saying that there are many artists that do this.
Of course the author understands this point. But hearing F4’s songs, how their singing skills are is evident. The four also perform separately, like movies. It can only be said that their performance is not as strong as people expected.
“Meteor Garden 1” was a sensation, but “Meteor Garden 2” couldn’t compare to the first. However, this group really has had some rarely seen successes. Besides being popular on both Mainland China and Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and other countries also have large quantities of F4 fans. It’s worth HK entertainment’s consultation.
It really wasn’t that costly to film “Meteor Garden 1.” But the management company is very intelligent; at least they were willing to broadcast it. Moreover, they understood these types of Japanese packaged idol assemble and responded by changing a Japanese manga/anime into a drama. Since F4’s success, until now, there still hasn’t been another idol group that can compare to their success.
Nowadays, it is indeed easier for idol groups to jump to fame than individual idols. One of the reasons is that each member has a different crowd of fans. When you add it up, it’s a lot more than a single singer.
When the group is successful, then they can disband and develop on their own.
Didn’t received training
In the entertainment circle, it is the most difficult when you first start out and groups are more vulnerable to popularity drops. In the past 2 years there have been too many young groups that have emerged in HK and Taiwan, which is indirectly weakening the market. At first, young idol groups were dominating, but as time passes, acceptance problems appear regularly. The most common issue seen is that more than half of them do not receive any training. The problem lies in the fact that they face a challenge when they receive more projects and spectator are having higher expectations.
F4 has taken the first step to success. They have had more success compared to other groups in HK and Taiwan. Currently, they are facing the challenges of the next step.
So will these four be like Japan’s SMAP and stay popular for a long time?

Seventeen Boys of Summer
F4 leads the Top 17!
1. Jerry Yan
It’s no surprise F4 hunk Jerry Yan nabbed the top spot this year’s 17 Boys of Summer. There’s just something about his aura that makes him so hot! Mention his killer looks to Jerry, and he’s quick protest, “I’m not as attractive as and as rich as Dao Ming Si.” This guy hates being disrespected and he will do anything for the woman he loves. Don’t you just adore that smile and his killer dimples?
Why she loves Jerry… “Jerry’s so adorably and endearingly shy yet oozing with manly charms- he’s just the right combination of laid back confidence and an unassuming nature.” –Claire Tuazon, 20, UP Diliman
2. Vic Zhou
This sensitive guy and the youngest of the F4 boys is also known as Zai Zai -the nickname given by his grandmother. If he had a choice, Vic would rather live far away from the fast and busy world. In fact he got really pissed when the paparazzi not only followed him, but tracked down his family in his hometown. This shy guy admits that he’s a cry baby. Aawww.
Why she loves Vic… “Besides being the cutest among the four boys (in F4), the fact that he doesn’t project in front of the camera like some hotshot celebrity makes him more adorable!” Suzy Ojeda, 19, Ateneo
3. Ken Zhu
This cool cutie dreams of touring the world someday. Ken admits he’s a gentleman and a sweetie –he’ll whip up a delicious meal in a snap just to satisfy his girl’s appetite. This Singaporean bred celeb enjoys cooking, swimming and collecting CDs. He has a total of seven piercings in his body, each one to remind him of something.
Why she loves Ken… “Aside from his gorgeous face, I like Ken because of his manliness: the way he walks, stands, dances, holds the mic, sings, speaks, acts, plays the guitar -everything! I just love him! Plus he has this air of mystery.” –Guia San Juan, 20, Ateneo
4. Vanness Wu
It’s difficult to believe this hunk used to be a 90-kilogram fatty. Today, he’s better known as the F4 boy with silky tresses (we love the new ‘do) and smooth dancefloor moves. When he’s not busy with work, Vanness tries as much as possible to spend time with his parents and take care of them. Just like Mei Zuo, the character he plays on Meteor Garden, Vanness is also humorous and witty.
Why she likes Vanness…
I used to think he was a loser during his long hair days. But he became astig after a haircut and I was so impressed when he hosted an award show!” -Hanie Villamor, 20 UP Manila

I just wanna remind you guys that you can upload pix of F4 in our gallery
They are Pepsi’s Asian gladiators
EAT dust, Britney, Pink and Beyonce.
Pepsi’s Asian commercial has nine superstars, fancy gongfu moves and special effects galore that will knock the breast plates of fthe three women.
The group of nice – Aaron Kwok, Sammi Cheng, Edison Chen, Jay Chou, Jolin Tsai and F4 were in Amman in Jordan last week to film a similar gladiator-style commercial to the tune of HK$100 million ($21.8m).
Sammi last to arrive
Diva Sammi was the last to arrive. After flying nine hours and going through Bangkok, she touched down in Amman at 7am, only to drop her bags at the hotel and head for the ancient city of Jerash by 8am for the shoot.
According to Hong Kong magazine Sudden Weekly, Sammi is taking this assignment seriously as Pepsi, which used to favour Faye Wong, has now placed the bulk of its publicity on Sammi’s skinny shoulders.
And it’s something she relished, considering her less-than-sterling performance last year.
Jay and Jolin get cosy
Rumoured love birds Jay Chou and Jolin Tsai, also seemed to have scored a good deal out of this commercial – they got to spend some private time away from prying eyes.
Or so they thought.
According to an F4 fan who was on the same flight as some of the stars, Jolin and Jay displayed some lovey-dovey behaviour on the plane.
At one point, she was even seen wearing his jacket and taking a nap on his shoulder.
Jolin and Edison hit it off
While it was reported that the two female stars had nothing much to say to each other on the set, Jolin did hit it off with another Hong Konger closer in age.
She shared plenty of scenes – and jokes – with Edison, much to the suspicion of Jay, who reportedly stole many glances and even took many walks their way.
F4 boys are pally
Meanwhile, F4 – who were the only ones with cross-continent trailing fans – had to suffer economy class on their way to Jordan because the business class was full.
But fans had nothing much to cheer about because even with the boys sitting at the back of the economy class cabin, security was extremely tight and no-one was allowed to go anywhere near the rear.
And it seems far from the rumours that the boys don’t get along, they were actually very pally on set, often helping each other adjust their costumes and playing games.

BOYBAND IN ARABIA
Fans of Taiwanese boyband F4 know that very rarely can they catch Jerry Yan, Ken Zhu, Vic Zhou and Vanness Wu together in one place.
When news about their closely guarded secret assignment to shoot a Pepsi commercial in Amman, Jordan, leaked out recently, some of F4's diehard followers hurriedly booked themselves on a flight to the exotic Middle East distination, even blocking off the business-class section so that the super celebrities had no choice but to settle for seats in the economy class.
Actually, there were five other entertainment world hotshots from both sides of the Taiwan Strait in the commercial. They were Aaron Kwok, Cheng Hsiu-wen, Chou Chieh-lun, Tsai I-lin and Chen Kuan-hsi, all much idolized in the Chinese-speaking world.
But F4, as provided for in the script of this most ambitious Pepsi project, stole the thunder from everyone. They did a lot of fight scenes in the desert. Just like the stars in Ang Lee's "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," they even had hang on wires in order to simulate the high-flying and cliff-scaling stunts of martial arts heroes.
In fact, when the four first emerged in their ancient warriors' costumes, they had a good laugh at themselves. They gave onlookers an amusing picture of straightforward and carefree boys ready for the cliffhanger commercial.
Jerry Yan expressed satisfaction with his "deadly" look. Ken Zhu remarked that his period costume struck him as "cool". Vic Zhou said he appeared "more cool" than Jerry Yan in his character outfit, "more handsome" than Ken Chu and "more suitably and comfortably dressed for the fight scene" than Vanness Wu.
While shooting the commercial, which was about the fight for a treasure at a historical desert site, the stars had a battalion of 100 Jordanian soldiers acting as bodyguards.
Fans and the press had to be kept at a distance. But some still managed to steal shots of Vic Zhou rock-climbing at a steep height of about seven stories along narrow gorge.
It took the boys at least two hours to dress up inside their respective tents. Some 30 accessories ahd to be put on to complete each look, created by Yu Chia-an. Hairpieces were added to make them appear like real comic book heroes. In fact, their makeup artists brought along a pile of comic books for use as references.
Jerry Yan and Vic Zhou were reportedly paid eight-digit sums in New Taiwan dollars for doing this Pepsi commercial. Ken Zhu and Vanness Wu received marginally lower amounts.
The members of F4 thought they could enjoy sights while in Jordan. But
screams of recognition at every turn forced them to retire to their <A TITLE="Click for more information about hotel" STYLE="text-decoration: none; border-bottom: medium solid green;" HREF="http://search.targetwords.com/u.search?x=5977|1||||hotels|AA1VDw">hotel</A> rooms most of the time. While in transit in Dubai, they wanted to go shopping. But as soon as they tried to do this, they encountered fans in hot pursuit. As a result, they had no choice but to retreat

i wish the fans would give F4 some space and private time to do there personal stuff..
Broker: F4 will take the path of SMAP
Because of Pepsi’s giant star advertisement, F4 reunited once again. Their broker, Zhi Xiang Li indicated that the operation method for F4 in the future will be according to Japan’s SMAP. Each member can be independent and develop in different fields. But when necessary, the four will work together. F4 will no longer have any so-called “reuniting” and “disbanding.”
After the completion of the Pepsi commercial in Amman, F4 will go to Hong Kong to attend the premiere of the new advertisement at the end of May. At the same time, the four also have new plans.
Jerry Yan’s debut album is rushing to release at the end of next month. There are currently only 3 songs left to record. Besides recording, Jerry has taken advantage of his free time to exercise hoping that his originally faint muscles would become even more evident. Recently, he has been lifting weights to make his muscles firmer. He says that he wants to make his fans’ eyes brighten when he releases his album next month.
Today Ken Zhu left for Beijing to shoot his new drama “City in the Sky.” After he finishes filming in China, he’ll being living in Japan and Yunnan for a while to film. Ken, Li Bing Bing, and Michelle Saram are prepared to “suffer” in Yunnan. Broker Zhi Xiang Li told Ken he’ll have to live in Yunnan for two months. Filming there will enable him to concentrate on sharpening his acting skills.
Besides reading movie scripts, Vanness Wu is also working hard on his album. This time Vanness will act as his own producer, producing his most beloved congenial western style music. At that time, his appearance will also become very congenial.
Zai Zai is currently filming “Mars” day and night with Da S. Compared to “Meteor Garden,” not only does Da S think that Zai Zai has improved greatly in acting, but the two have more privities. Broker Zhi Xiang Li expressed that Zai Zai seeks perfection in “Mars.” It’ll be a shocker for spectators this summer.

Giant project for New Pepsi Ads
Asian Top 9 Superstars Gathering
Nine Pepsi spokespersons namely Aaron Kwok, Edison Chen, Jolin Cai, Jay Zhou, Sammi Cheng and F4 have gotten together to shoot a new Pepsi commercial ad in Jordan. This is another chance F4 reunited and worked side by side since last year. Also the famous couple in spotlight, Jay Zhou and Jolin Tsai, has joined the trip. Three years ago they went to Japan together, mesmerizing sakura blooming in private. This time they have another good chance to continue their romantic trip to ancient city under the same project. Not to mention sharing the same roof as well, though each went on their own room. As for F4, this is their first reunion after attending Pepsi Concert a year ago. Rumors flied all over they were disbanded. No wonder such get gathering drove their fandom frenzied. Many flocked to airport as they were leaving for Jordan, causing a rare havoc scene at the airport. These days it’s getting harder and harder to see them in group. In no time Ken Chu will fly over to Beijing and stay there for 3 – 4 months to film his new movie, City In the Sky, while Jerry Yan is about to release his first album. Zaizai, on the other hand, maintains his tight schedules studying and shooting ‘God Mars.’ Clear enough the chance for them to become one again is actually almost impossible. H.K. Fans rushed into them when their plane touched their vicinity asking for their pictures and signatures. Poor boys didn’t even have any chance to rest. They had a transit in Bangkok, Thailand before heading to Amnan, Jordan. To prevent contents of the commercial being revealed, everyone was asked to sign a contract not disclosing any information.
Grandeur locations and shooting sets
Pepsi claims this is the biggest production for commercial ad ever taken till date. To avoid the media and fans, artistes have their own tents outside the set. Lacking of equipments and limitation of location, their tents were simply covered with heavy curtains. Afraid that the entertainers can’t get used to the local food, Pepsi has brought large quantities of foods and drinks from Hong Kong.… (to be continued)
Each time anyone of them leaving for washroom or to the set, his or her was accompanied by tons of security guards. On the first day of shooting, 4,000 Jordanian servicemen were there to act as extras. It was one of grand shooting scenes ever filmed. To make up with time, the production continuously went on from early morning until sunset. Also there were six police cars stationed outside and an ambulance standing by just in case. Here was the funny part. Whenever the entertainer came in and went out, the 4,000 extras presented would cheer them. Especially when the two females star, Sammi Cheng and Jolin Tsai, appeared. Their screeching would be so loud it shocked everybody. The male entertainers laughed teasing they should come back to launch their careers, surely they would become so popular.
Breakthrough Eagerness
In order to match up with Pepsi new slogan ‘Breakthrough Eagerness’, 9 stars would be transformed into ancient looks. F4, Jolin Cai, Jay Zhou and Edison Chen never had an experience wearing period costumes as such. It was said that the total expenses for costumes costed Pepsi a fortune, roughly 10 million Hong Kong dollars. While another 100 million dollars was spared for shooting expenditure.
Since each of them has never been informed about their clothes, they were so excited once dressed up. There were more than 150 pieces of clothing and accessories. It took each at least an hour to put their clothes on plus 4 more hours for makeup. All stars will have exclusively new looks. To better portrait his outlook as Pepsi Twist’s spokesperson, Edison Chen had his hair sprayed in yellow just above his temple. Whereas Jolin had strands of silver tint in her hair showing off her image as Pepsi Lite’s emissary. Once in the costumes, some even mistaken Zaizai for Jerry. Jolin Tsai spent the most recorded time with her hairdo. Finally she came up with several tiny braids and highlighted hair. It took her 3 full hours though. This time Jay has chosen an arrow for his weapon instead of his same old dragon fists. This shooting literally swept everyone out off their standing. In awe they claimed it, ‘Marvelous yet superb production.’
At this point we believe everyone can’t wait seeing this ad. Sure enough we (Thai people) won’t miss the chance to witness it after seeing the Western Gladiator version. It’s really worth seeing, we’d say.

Over-pricing on F4 scared producers away?
Proceed from the success of Meteor Garden, F4’s chances of winning contract yet opposed to their popularity. Our reporter just discovered that since the four members became so well known, their contract prices shoot-up rapidly that deter producers from approaching them at the same time. A union for all four members seems to be a mission impossible.
Over-pricing makes it difficult to perform at the same time?
Despite F4 have pledged they will never break-up, recent moves, such as individual movie projects, separated public appearance can’t withheld the fact that they are working separately. A brand new project invested by CCTV with Angel Chai, as the producer, has just rolled out days ago. This new 20-episode teen TV series, City of Sky will start with Ken Chu, mainland well-known actress Lee Pin Pin and Rainie Yeung , which will soon electrify local TV prime.
As reviewed, City of Sky was intended to unify the four members in this program. Unfortunately, that was not successful due to their high contract prices. On top of this, it is also very difficult to work out a plan for an equal share for each members of them. Their overwhelming prices scared so many potential investors away, resulted chances of a F4 reunion to a minimal.
In addition, Founder of F4 Angel Chai has long been planning for a F4 movie. However, it is very difficult to fix an even share among them. Image design, special transportation arrangements, assistants, daily essentials, etc. has also put addition burden on production. Usual producers may not be able to bear these costs, render a reunion of the members an unachievable dream.
Ken Chu, struggling on his own
Ken Chu has just finished his recent beverage commercial in Brazil. “Dropping” F3 behind, Ken rushed to join CCTV’s first teen TV series City of Sky, acting as a Green Peace photographer.
In spite of the fact that Ken holds a royal fan base in mainland China, he stated that his subsequent project focus will turn into mainland market. Even though City of Sky has not yet started filming, CCTV has scheduled it to be broadcast on its prime time. Ken is so serious about his first opportunity to work with a mainland project, treating this initial move as his pioneer for the mainland market. Talking about his role in this series, Ken showed with full confidence and stated that it is just like his real act. He is an easy-going person who likes traveling. Often he will take photos on and off just to uphold his memory. He is looking forward to working with Lee Pin Pin. Hopefully, this will be a break through from the Meteor Garden.
Accordingly, City of Sky will shoot at Beijing for half a month. By the 6th of next month, Ken will attend a press conference. Right after that he will move along with the production clew to Tokyo. The whole project is expected to be complete by August 2004.

Nine stars will gather at the Plaza, will arrive by helicopter for a grand entranceThe show [Pepsi Blue Legend IX] will be on next Monday (5.31), nine bright stars will be attending, including Aaron Kwok, Sammi Cheng, Jay Chou, Jolin Tsai, Edison Chen and F4, who have not appeared in Hong Kong for a long while. Knowing that fans would definitely begin their journeys of following their idols this time, organizers has hired over two hundred security guards in case of riots, as well as investing in a seven digit number for three consecutive events, the whole town is sure to be amazed.
The main plan for Pepsi’s huge investment for gathering all nine stars, their main focus is to introduce Pepsi’s new packaging, new slogans and the nine images of the stars on the cans, it’s been rumored that the nine heroes will arrive by helicopter to the venue on that day, then move to the plaza for the grand ceremony, the nine stars will then altogether put one thousand eight hundred and eighty eight blue helium balloons in the air. It is also rumored that the finale of event, the commercial’s preview will also utilize guns and weapons, with that said, Pepsi’s China branch manager Ms Lee claims over the telephone: “I’ve applied for a gun liscence, it’s in process right now.”
The new approach to getting VIP tickets Pepsi has organized three thousand audiences to view this event, and for the past few days there have been ongoing rumors about the selling of tickets at a much higher price, some people even claim that they are the Pepsi officials who have been selling the tickets, approaching the fans with great tickets in hand. But Ms Lee exclaims, the tickets to preview of the commercial are split into three categories, including normal, VIP and PR tickets: “Every time Pepsi organizes a function they privilege the people who have done nothing, actually the Pepsi officials themselves have very little tickets, and also names are printed on the VIP tickets, I also have record of all the PR tickets, therefore I am perfectly clear of who is sitting on which seat, if there are problems I can check on it right away, therefore I hope that fans wouldn’t find other ways to get tickets this time!”

Aaron leads Pepsi stars in new song
The 9 Pepsi stars crossed the record company’s boundaries. This first collaboration theme song, “Dare For More” was written by Ren Lin Xi and is finally going to be exposed. Aaron will lead by singing the first lines of the song. This shows that his position hasn’t wavered.
F4, Jay Chou, Aaron Kwok, Sammi Cheung, Edison Chen, Jolin Tsai sing the 2004 Pepsi advertisement theme song, “Dare For More” together. The famous compose and lyricist Ren Lin Xi and Du Zi Chi was invited to work together. The 9 stars are arranged to sing different parts with the oldest Pepsi star, Aaron, singing the first lines.
When Aaron, who has worked with Pepsi for 7 years, went to Jordan with the other star to film the commercial, he was arranged to stand in the middle position. His importance is evident. Later Aaron was said to have leaked the contents of the ad to the media, making Pepsi discontent. His manager Xiao Mei charged whoever published this piece of news. But this didn’t affect Aaron and his relationship with Pepsi.
Jay and Jolin plus Sammi and Jerry, these rumored couples, also have parts where they sing together. However, to avoid others to misunderstand that they are using rumors to help promote, Jay and Jolin plus Aaron and Edison sing together and Sammi with F4. There are quite a few rap parts in the song. Vanness, Jay and Edison are in charge of the rap parts.
The 9 Pepsi stars will attend the “Pepsi Blue Legend” event on May 31st. It’ll be divided into 3 parts. They’ll first meet with the media at the helicopter field. Then they’ll go to Jin Zi Jing Public Square to hold a ceremony in which they release thousands of balloons. The commercial broadcast and conference will be held at the evening, entertaining 3,000 people

another fan report from HKThere were over 400 fans at the airport waiting.
When F3 came out all the fans and reporters rushed forward.
Jerry had his cap really low, mood was pretty good and vann was wearing a white cap.
Mid-way, they suddenly stopped and then the security opened up a road for them. Fans and reporters were crowded together, quite a scary scene.
When walking down the stair, vann and jerry waved to fans above and below. maybe because zz was sick so he only had his head down.
around 8 Ken arrived from beijing. he wore navy blue. he didn't look straight at fans and walked with his head down. he took off his hat just before he got in the car and also waved to fans.

Pepsi suspected to have a “da xi chao”
Earlier Pepsi’s 9 stars went to Jordan together to film a new CM. Yesterday they gathered at HK to attend “Pepsi Blue Legend” to promote the new CM. But Pepsi’s transportation arrangements for their 9 stars were suspected to have a “da xi chao” disliking. Aaron Kwok and Sammi and F4 were arranged to ride helicopters while Jay Chou, Jolin Tsao and Edison Chen were arranged to ride army vehicles.
The first part of the event started at 3:45pm at Xi Jiu Long Zhi Sheng Ji Chang. The 9 Pepsi representatives, Aaron Kwok, Sammi Cheng, F4, Jay Chou, Jolin Tsai and Edison Chen were all present. The general assembly arranged for 2 helicopters for Aaron and Sammi and F4 to ride. As for Jay, Jolin and Edison, they arrived at the scene in army cars. They then had an opening ceremony afterwards.
Aaron, with the Big Brother identity, boarded the helicopter first and sat at the pilot’s seat. Vanness sat outside in front of him. However, the majority of the stars didn’t wear all blue yesterday. Only Aaron, Sammi, Jay and Jolin wore blue apparel. Jolin was also very sexy wearing a Dior tube-top. Aaron wore Latin dance clothes showing his notable status.
Jerry Yan too nervous and said the wrong thing
Regarding riding a helicopter, ZZ Vic Zhou greatly praised HK’s scenery saying that the weather was really nice and the ocean and sky joined to be one line, very romantic. It’s not known whether or not if it was because Jerry Yan was too nervous, but when he said he was very happy to ride a helicopter he went off pitch. He then said, “HK’s night scenery is very ornament.” At the side, Pepsi’s Big Brother Aaron couldn’t help stopping him, “Night scenery?” Li Hao Lin (host) said for Jerry that he probably is thinking how beautiful HK’s night scenery is. Sammi expressed, “It felt really nice riding a helicopter this time. Actually when going to Macao in the past I also rode a helicopter. But there were more people this time and the mood is a lot more lively.”
Jay and Jolin didn’t talk much
Aaron is known to cooperate. When talking about how he feels he’ll talk a lot. Sammi, Jay, Edison, etc. standing behind him, kept on talking. They didn’t listen to what this Big Brother had to say. Then they each rode a car to Jin Zi Jing Public Square. Jay and his rumored girlfriend Jolin didn’t talk during the ceremony and were arranged to sit separately. Jolin sat with Edison who introduced her to HK scenery.
It was not until they arrived at Jin Zi Jing Public Square until Jay and Jolin had the chance to stand next to each other. But from the beginning to the end they didn’t talk much. Yesterday Aaron and F4 had the most fans and bu xiang bo zhong.
Aaron and F4 fans bu xiang bo zhong
When Aaron head for Jin Zi Jing Public Square on a helicopter, fans rented vans to chase. In contrast, F4 only had a few fans chasing them. But when they arrived, a lot of fans were already there waiting. Together with the other fans of the other stars there were about 500 or more fans. Among them there were fans from overseas and some students wearing school uniforms there. When F4’s Vanness Wu saw fans, he constantly waved to them. ZZ and Jerry also played around. The balloon releasing ceremony was also held but it was a pity that not all balloons flew upwards but they flew towards reporters and fans. This resulted in fans fighting for them.

Star gather to publicize beverage product
Summer vacation is just around the corner. A world famous beverage product, in order to attack the teenage market, spent a lot of money to shoot a CM in Jordan. At the same time, they held a huge promotional event tonight.
The 9 stars from TW and HK. Aaron, Sammi and Edison from HK and F4, Jay and Jolin from TW. They all were very handsome and beautiful. They had realistic guns in their hands and shot upwards. The 3000 fans at the scene were really high from the beginning. HK artist Aaron, “Ready! Shoot!”
The 9 stars already went to Jordan earlier to film a CM that will be broadcasted in China and TW. Each star’s was based on wind, fire, water, air, electricity, invisibility, etc. In a Roman style arena, they fight over a can of soda. So who gets it in the end? The advertising company used the continuous chapters technique as a cliffhanger and then let everyone know in the next chapter.
Advertising company’s using celebrities to publicize isn’t anything new. However, being able to spend all this money on 9 big stars to come together and publicize is original. It’s not surprising that the originally free tickets have been sold illegally for NTD10,000.

a fan report from Agnes (1/2 of Jackiebee)
- We are still at the event. The 9 stars had a grand opening number with the boys wearing shades of blue and plunging shirts and pants. They showed the old Pepsi CM of the stars plus the new Pepsi CM and sang the new song.
- ZZ and Ken always stayed beside each other - teasing & playing around. (Agnes mentioned that Ken was doing some sort of dancing - "body grinding")
- They made an imprint of their hands on cement with Vanness doing the Machi sign.
- Vanness and ZZ did the bodyslam!
The event just finished. They had this game wherein they have to guess what kind of Pepsi they were drinking (twist, etc..). Vanness, ZZ, Jolin, Aaron and Edison were in the same team.
- Among F4, ZZ was the only one who got his answer wrong. He almost finished the contents of his can already but he said he still couldn't figure out what it was. Vanness then pretented to kick him.
- After, they sang the "Happy Birthday" song for ZZ and had given him a cake but with no candles. His bday wish was - "that everyone will take care of themselves" and added "because your house might also get burnt!"
- After, F3 carried ZZ and Jerry said he was heavy!
