Taiwan Idol F4 Drops

F4's results on the Oricon Chart in Japan wasn't the same from week to week. Because of this, the 4 of them would be going to Japan together to hold a press conference on the 25th of April. First is to announce their working with Japan's Jiao Chun, and also to announce their new fliming of their pictorial book to pull back their popularity.

Last month on the 24th, taiwan's F4 released their single, Can't Lose You in Japan. Although their single went into the Top Ten but it didn't show well. They only got no. 13 in the chart. And, they dropped to no.29 on the 2nd week. Till now, the sale of the single is 10000,6832 pieces.

However, the management company is very determined and decided to do action. They have decided to get the 4 busy dudes to Japan on the 25th to hold a press conference for Japan's Chun Jiao shop which will be releasing their new pictorial soon. They would also be releasing their album Meteor Rain soon. And, after Ken have ended his Tokyo press confernce, he would be proceeding to Da Ban to do a tour promo for the F4 pictorial. Hoping that this promo would be able to stabalise F4's stand in Japan.

While China is in the midst of strong anti-Japan protests, F4 will go to Japan next week according to plan and hold a photo-album press conference. F4 work together again four years after Kadokawa published their first photo album. This is the first time the four of them working together after flying solo. In the Japanese photo album, they will emanate their lady-killer charisma, but will not expose themselves bare chest. Moreover, they will erase the insult of rich princes wearing cheap clothes.

F4 silently goes to Japan to get some money

F4's wish has been fulfilled, with all 4 members going to Japan. The shooting of their first Japanese pictorial has already silently started in Tokyo. They are scheduled to have an official press conference in Japan on the 27th.

F4 has never appeared in Japan together. Zai Zai Vic Chou had once gone to Japan's Xian Tai to film the scenes of the drama "Mars." He also went to Tokyo in March to build influence. At that time ZZ saw how fans were so enthusiastic and wished on the spot, "Hopefully I can come with F4 next time!"

Until lastnight, F4 granted ZZ's wish. However, because each person were all in different locations, they all went to Tokyo separately on Saturday and Sunday. But coincidentally, when they arrived there were hundreds of fans at the airport welcoming them. F4 fans really know their idols' whereabouts, even F4 and the staff were suprised.

Because they were touched by their fans' enthusiasm, each member was very courteous to Japanese fans. When they greeted fans it led to endless screaming, especially when they used Japanese to reply, "Thanks for going through the trouble!" Further exciting fans.

Recently F4's exposure has been really low. Besides Ken Chu having a mini concert in HK, the other 3 are no where to be seen. Jerry scarcely announces his travel route after intimate pictures of him and Lin Zhi Ling were exposed. Japanese fans are luckier than Taiwan F4 fans.

F4 is going to Japan for 5 days to shoot a new pictorial, expected to release around summer vacation, and attend an international press release. Afterwards Ken will be staying there alone to go to Osaka to promote "Meteor Garden," Vanness Wu will fly to HK to film his movie while Jerry and ZZ will return to Taiwan.

As for the copyright of their Japanese pictorial, after the two big Japanese publishers, "Jiao Chuan" and "Jiang Tan She," fought for it, in the end it was decided that "Jiao Chuan" would recieve the copyright.

F4 risks danger, Goes to Japan to flim Pictorial

F4 reunites and goes to Japan to flim a pictorial. Today, they would even be holding a press conference to meet the Japan media. In order to greet the fans there, F4 specially learned "Da Jia, Xin Ku Le !"(Everyone , worked hard !) in Japanese. And, this Japanese line, made their fans screamed !

Before F4 appeared in Japan, they held a Meteor Garden exhibition for two weeks in Tokyo. At the same time, they released their single in Japan and all pictorials they have flimed before were released. The sales went up to 10,0000 books. The results were good, thus, the publisher invited F4 to Tokyo once again to flim the first themed pictorial. It's scheduled for release during the holidays and 1 000,0000 books would be printed and the amount of profit would come up to a million.

For this trip, F4 would be in Japan for 5 days. The main motive was to flim the pictorial. After which, Ken would be proceeding to Da Ban where the Meteor Garden exhibition is held. At the same time, he would be holding 2 autograph sessions for his personal solo album. As Zaizai had earlier on been spokesperson for Parco, as the response was good, 2 kinds of posters have now been released, in which one showed a wild side of Zaizai.

Going to Japan for work during the "anti-Jap" wave, they'll become the sensitive people. Today, F4 will be holding a press conference to meet the Japan media. However, the 4 of them had in mind, they will only put their attention on work at this time , concentrate on fliming their pictorial and will not answer any political questions at the press conference in order not to cause any sensitivity.

Other than that, the Taiwan government is considering to get F4 to be the spokesperson for the tourism board in Taiwan, using their popularity in Japan to attract Japanese tourists. And Taipei minister, Ma Ying Jiu have said gave his support, agreeing that F4, who is popular in both Japan and Taiwan is a great choice. F4 hopes to become the spokesperson to introduce the Taiwan's tourism.

Taiwan's super idol group F4 arrived in Japan. They held a sudden press conference on the 27th at a Tokyo city hotel.

All the members - Jerry, Vic, Ken & Vanness - participated in the news conference.
The 4 members greeted the reporters in fluent Japanese. During the conference they talked about the Japanese release of their album "Meteor Rain", the upcoming release of their Japanese photo album "F4 @ TOKYO" schedule for mid-July and also the various movies which the members are appearing in. On top of this, the members also spoke about their thoughts on their upcoming activities in Japan, and sent a "message of love" to their fans.

Japanese Zai fans said that the T-shirt-clad ZaiZai turned around to wave to the fans just before entering the gate, and looked at each of the fans…

"When finally we couldn’t even see him anymore, ZaiZai turned around and waved his hand once again.
We stared at him wordlessly until at last we burst into tears and cried."

Some Zai fans said that they “broke down (collapsed) and cried”.

F4 lands in Japan, “God of Rain” ZaiZai upsets the neighbourhood


F4 officially enters the Japanese music arena, releasing an album, a photobook and others for promotion. Yesterday they held a press conference in Tokyo. Zhou Yu Min reveals that it rained every single day since he arrived in Japan to take photos for the new photo book, upsetting the progress of the photobook. No wonder he is being called “The God of Rain”.

Taiwanese all-male group F4 held a press conference yesterday in Tokyo, officially announcing their intent to enter the Japanese music arena. The Japanese version of F4’s CD “Meteor Rain” was also released yesterday.

Mutually imitating each other’s dialogues


F4’s press conference attracted around 100 Japanese reporters. Wu Jian Hao spoke Japanese to greet the reporters present when he entered the room, and even sneaked a peek at his cheat sheet to say “I love you" in Japanese. But the opening statement of all four of them is “I feel so lucky”, thereby being laughed at by the Japanese media that they were imitating each other’s lines.

Yan Cheng Xu disclosed that he hurt his left eye during the photoshoot the day before, that’s why he had to wear sunglasses, and apologized to the reporters present. Zhu Xiao Tian praised the Japanese staff greatly for their earnest and serious work attitude, which he benefited from a great deal.

But the funniest had to be Zhou Yu Min (ZaiZai). He said that Yan Cheng Xu and Wu Jian Hao has already arrived in Japan on Saturday to start work on the photobook. The weather was excellent at first. But after he and Zhu Xiao Tian joined the team on Sunday for the photoshoot, it started to rain incessantly, and would even encounter thunder. The photographer could only change plans and take the shots indoors, affecting the progress of the photoshoot. Zhu Xiao Tian interrupted and said, “It also rained during the photo shoot yesterday, but when it was my turn, the weather suddenly changed for the better.” Hearing that, ZaiZai said, “No wonder in Taiwan everybody calls me “God of Rain”.” Yan Cheng Xu, Zhou Yu Min, and Wu Jian Hao went back to Taiwan immediately after the press conference. As for Zhu Xiao Tian, he will remain in Japan, and will also be interviewed by a radio station in Osaka on Saturday

Will hold a filmfest

F4 will release their new photobook "F4@Tokyo", published by Kadokawa Publishing. Starting July 2, the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography will hold the“F4 Film 2005”which will show movies that F4 has participated in, as well as clips of F4’s concerts in Taiwan and Hong Kong. On the other hand, the Association of Tourism for Taiwan has invited F4 to take the post of ambassadors of tourism to attract even more Japanese tourists to travel to Taiwan. F4 will also establish a Japanese fan club in June, but only Japanese fans can join.

F4's popularity has been rising in Japan. With the success of their single, the guys attended a press conference yesterday there and announced the release of their first Japanese pictorial collections and the formation of a fan club there.

Reportedly the organizer was concerned about the sensitivity of the anti Japanese issue and only welcomed the Japanese press. However the Taiwan and Hong Kong press were present. The organizer has stated that questions about the anti Japanese sentiment and the members' personal lives were prohibited.

For the trip F4 learned a few lines of simple Japanese. Months ago METEOR GARDEN was released in Japan as a DVD boxset. Despite its high price it still topped the DVD sales chart. F4's single also landed on the 13th spot on the single chart. Their hit METEOR SHOWER (LAU SING YU) was released yesterday.

Because Jerry had a day's rest, his mood was pretty good and he was
energetic. Later Ken appeared but he didn't let reporters get near him the
entire time.

Ken left at 2pm and used a white towel to wrap his head but his swollen

Jerry Yan, Ken Chu turn into hei bai shuang sha

F4, Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Ken Chu and Vanness Wu, have gathered in HK
to film a new commercial for Pepsi. Vanness arrived first to do some
work for his movie. Ken and Jerry arrived the day before yesterday from
Osaka and Jia Xing respectively. As for Zai Zai Vic Chou, because he had
to attend classes, he wasn't able to arrive in HK until yesterday.

Ken's left eye red and swollen

Yesterday morning Jerry and Ken went to Li Gong University to do some
shooting. The advertising company hopes to keep things a secret so they
didn't arrange for any media coverage and didn't reveal any details.
The only thing that's known is that they'll be using indoor techonology
this time. When Ken left at 2pm, in order to avoid letting anything leak
out, he purposely wore a white towel around his head. But it was still
obvious that his left eye was red and swollen. Pepsi spokesperson Miss
Li said, "He's ok, it didn't effect the shooting." As for Jerry, he
left at 7pm. Like Ken he wore a black towel around his head to avoid
revealing anything.

In addition fans heard that ZZ was going to arrive in HK yesterday
morning so they all went to the airport. But when he still didn't appear
when afternoon came, they found out that he changed flights and would be
arriving in the night. He's prepared to enter the shooting today,
implementing that he and Ken were "hei bai shuang sha."

HK paparazzi went straight into ZZ and Bao Long's hotel rooms

After F4's Jerry Yan attended the Jia Xing Concert in Shanghai, he and his designer Zhou Pei Yu slept in the same room. HK Dong Fang Xin De reporters found two worn robes in Bao Long's room, two use wine glasses and a used menstrual pad.

Yesterday reporters of that company went to Zhou Pei Yu and she admited that the pad was hers, but she emphasized, "All the staff members were in Bao Long's room chatting and drinking wine." Jerry's manager Zhi Xiang Li made a 180 degress turn, saying something totally different, "Because we were afraid that fans would be disturbing, Bao Long and I exchanged bedrooms. It was me and the staff members drinking wine and chatting in Bao Long's room. Bao Long wasn't there."

HK Dong Fang Xin De Weekly followed from Tokyo to Shanghai, following F4 all the way. After Jerry and the other 3 members attended their pictorial press conference in Tokyo, Jerry went to Shanghai to attend a concert. Besides Jerry, other performers at the concert were Cecilia Cheng, Tan Yong Lin and Lin Yi Lian.

Reporters of Hong Kong Oriental Sunday weekly followed F4. They got to photograph Zaizai's underwear in a hotel room of the Tokyo Westin hotel where F4 stayed. The reporter poked fun at Zaizai and reported that he wore boxer because it's more airy. The reporter also considered Zaizai's habit of throwing away worn underwear a little bit wasteful.

Moreover, Oriental Sunday made fun of Zaizai who is not fluent at English, saying that the English newspaper was placed on the desk facing the other direction. On the desk was also an empty box of a PSP game which Zaizai loves to play, the weekly said that obviously he is a big boy who plays games everywhere he goes.

3 Works Starring F4 Members Opening in Japan in Summer



This summer works featuring the handsome guys taking Asia by storm - F4 - are to be released in Japan.

Starting with the movie "Magic Kitchen" starring Jerry Yan, Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng, the F4 boys will show three of their works, including a footage of their concerts. Plans are for it to first be shown in a photo gallery in Tokyo, then go onto the cities of Osaka, Nagoya and Sapporo.

The photo is a scene from the popular Hong Kong love comedy "Magic Kitchen" about a female chef and her younger assistant who work at a private restaurant. The plot also involves the female chef's ex-boyfriend and friends.

"Star Runner" Starring Vanness Wu to be Shown in Summer



Popular Taiwanese idol group F4, who are lighting the fire under the current wave of Chinese entertainers stretching their wings across Asia, will show many of their works in Japan this summer.

To be shown is the movie "Star Runner" starring Vanness Wu and Korean actress Kim HyonJoo (2003 release directed by Daniel Lee). "Sky of Love" Starring Ken Chu to be Shown in Summer



To be shown in Japan this summer is the movie "Sky of Love" starring F4 member Ken Chu, and Gigi Leung (released in 2003 and directed by Teng Hua-Tao).

The photo is a picture from a scene in "Sky of Love". The movie is a fantasy love story about a female university student living in 1982 and a male university student living in 2003 who have strangely gained the ability to converse with each other through a wireless radio. The movie received considerable attention in a press conference in Japan for Ken Chu acting in a "role which only uses his voice".

Incidentally, "Sky of Love" is a remade version of the often talked about movie "Remember Me" (also known as "Ditto") starring Korean actress Kim HaNeul.

Zai leaves HK with his head down, ascting mute
Last night F4 and Louis Koo shot a Pepsi commercial. To prevent their new images to be exposed, security guards were on guard. They also used towels to wrap their heads and avoided the media. They filmed until 1:30am in the morning. Louis and Vanness Wu seemed the friendliest, both greeting the media. But Vic Chou seemed sneaky, always covering his head and then getting in the car and leaving.

After finishing the commercial, F4 left separately in pairs. First was Ken Chu and Vic, who left at 8am yesterday arrived at the airport with the protection of 20 security guards. The 2 seemed cold towards the fans waiting at the airport, not saying a word the entire way. Ken didn't wave goodbye until he was about to enter the gates. As for Jerry Yan and Vanness, they arrived at the airport at 2pm. There were 50 fans waiting.
