Jerry Yan carries welcoming smiles whereas Ken Chu is moody


Recently, F4’s Yan Cheng Xu and Chu Xiao Tian are both shooting on movies. Apart from this, Jerry carries warm friendly smiles to welcome others whereas Ken Chu faces emotional ups and downs. Sometimes his moods fluctuate strangely. Despites, both are very professional to their jobs.

Couple days ago, CTV’s new drama “The Great White Tower” (Bai Se Ju Ta) had just rolled out its official shooting. Jerry Yan showed up in his casual sports suits with a baseball cap in an early morning. He also carried a big suitcase which was fully packed with clothes and shoes.

In the past, Jerry always gave others a distant impression, just like an elegant noble. Dai Li Ren, Zhang Gou Zhu, Zhang Fu Jian and many others tend to evaluate on him. They finally realized that this boy is not that difficult to deal with as it said in the rumor. In the contrary, he is polite and humorous. That relieved all from worries.

In addition, Jerry is very thoughtful. Often when clothing received from fashion sponsors are not fit in his size or may not be suitable for him to wear, he will pass them to other actors. Such a caring “Big Kid” deeply impressed many with his warm comfort.

There was one time when he went to the gym. He yelled at the staffs when he lost his wallet. Now he has to work with these seniors. Although he is no longer over-react, his emotion remains unstable, making others to hold back from him.

Simon, the chief crew coordinator of “Far East International Great Trial” clarified that Ken is just relatively less concerned about his image. Looking from a different point of view, he is actually very “amiable”. He could suddenly lie down on floor to sleep without taking too much concern on others’ impression. I talked to him. Ken said he used to work on backstage and had undergone several difficulties. Hence he can sleep anywhere.

Simon said Liu Song Ren and Ceng Jiang have a chat with Ken. Originally they thought F4 are not easy to get along. In fact, they are very friendly. Simon indicates that Ken’s only drawback is “he likes to browse through supermarkets”. He is so famous. If he browses around in Beijing’s supermarket, we have to send out four bodyguards to protect him. That could take as an unusual drawback.

ZZ earns more than Bao Long, king of F4


ZZ accepts Angie Cai's new drama "Silence" for a sky-high price, defeating comrade Jerry Yan and becoming the king of Taiwan dramas.

A few days ago a magazine reported that Jerry accepted "White Tower" for $250,000 per episode. They also indicated that Angie purposely made difficulties for Cai Yue Xun, the producer of "White Tower," offering $400,000-500,000 per episode. F4's Japanese pictorial is strikingly cool

F4 will be officially attacking the Japanese market in July. Thousands of signatures were gathered to establish an international fanclub, an F4 film festival will be launched for several months and they'll be publishing a Japanese pictorial in the middle of the month. In the recent pictorial pictures released, F4 became "chao nan," vowing the snatch every girl's heart.

Entering July, F4 are joining forces to attack the Japanese marke. After "Meteor Garden's" broadcast in Japan an F4 upsurge aroused. Earlier in Tokyo, Osaka and other places a "Meteor Garden Exhibition" was well received. F4 also especially went to Japan to meet the local media. Now, with thousands of fans' signatures, F4's international fanclub has been established. For now the name is F4ever. Over 100,000 fans are estimated to join the fanclub.

Following the "Meteor Garden Exhibition," from July 2nd to August 25th the "F4 Film Collection 2005" will be held in Tokyo. F4's movies will be shown as well as their Taiwan and HK concerts. This will include Jerry Yan's "Magic Kitchen," Vanness Wu's "Star Runner," and Ken Chu's "Sky of Love." 4 sessions will be shown each day. Besides the concert ticket prices costing 1,000 yen (about HKD$70), the movie tickets will cost 1,800 yen (abot HKD$125). During the first week F4's first Taiwan concert "Music Party" will be broadcasted and tickets have already been sold out.

In addition, "F4 Tokyo" is F4's first Japanese Pictorial and it will be available on July 21st. The set price is 4,515 yen (about HKD$320). Online preorders are currently being accepted. According to what's known China, HK, Taiwan plus Japan preorders have already surpassed 100,000. For this pictorial F4 especially flew to various famous places in Japan, like the Tokyo Tower, to do photoshoots. In the pictures that have been released, the four's images are different from their past ones. They are dressed as "chao nan." Because it's hard for F4 to be in the same room, even though they had to do overnight photoshoots their moods were not effected. They were very playful, competing to see who was cooler. In front of the camera they showed their coolest sides. The judge was the photographer and he/she concluded that all four are tied.

To promote their pictorial "F4 Tokyo," F4 had shot cover photos for many magazines in one breath. The Japanese side is requesting that F4 go to Japan in July to attend a promotional activity for their pictorial. Because Jerry is currently busy filming the drama "White Tower," Ken is in Beijing filming the movie "The Far East International Big Trial" and ZZ and Vanness have work at hand, the chances of the four gathering in Japan is pretty slim.

F4 holds a Film Festival in Japan

Taiwanese band F4 succeed in opening their Japanese market. Starting 3 days ago, a F4 Film Festival is held in Japan for more than a month. Other than showing Jerry Yan’s “Magic Kitchen”, Vanness Wu’s “Star Runner” and Ken Chu’s “Sky of Love”, their first Taiwan concert “Music Party” will also be broadcast. F4’s Japanese Pictorial album “F4@Tokyo” will soon be released on July 21. Each album is selling (Japanese dollar) $4,515 yen (about HK$325). The responses are extremely good. Nicholes Tes was not angry being thrown when filming the Pepsi commercial


Nicholes Tse joined the Pepsi family. The new ad he shot with F4 and Louise Koo was planned to broadcast in mainland first. However, Hong Kong audience has not yet seen it. So he requested the producer to have it broadcast earlier in Hong Kong. The full version will be air on TV tomorrow evening as a special privilege even-though another promotion is currently in progress. The full version lasts for one minute. It will fulfill the audience longing all at once.

Something happened during the shot. In one of the scenes, Nicholes had to be hung on wires in the middle of the air and dash towards the ground. Staffs worried he would get hurt so did not exert on full strength. Despites, Nicholes reminded the others not to hold back. Just do what it had to be. Hence, he ended up being a “Ta Sheng Yu”(a smashed piece). He was being thrown a few times yet without even gave a groan.

Phuket plans tsunami ‘party’

Phuket authorities are planning a big bash on December 26 to commemorate the tsunami and have invited old-school rocker Eric Clapton and Taiwanese boy band F4 to perform.

There are also solemn ceremonies planned during the “Light Up Patong Beach” event, including lighting 100,000 candles on the beach on the evening of 26 December.

The event will be staged one year after the tsunami struck six southern provinces, along with other parts of Asia, killing more up to 300,000 people.

Provincial chief executive Anchalee Vanich Tephabutra said the event would include ceremonies for the different faiths and religions of those who perished. Phuket would invite an Andaman Sea area artists group to organise the candlelight event.

The show is planned despite protests from hotel operators, who say the timing is bad – December 26 is in the midst of the peak tourism season. They fear such ceremonies would remind visitors of the tragedy and cast a pall over business.

However, a tourism industry source said other operators like the idea. They asked TAT to make the event as grand as Verdi’s opera “Aida” at the site of the Luxor massacre in Egypt, the impressively arranged funeral for Lady Diana, or the September 11 memorial services held each year in New York.

Some businesses also want the agency to invite Elton John to play “Candle in the Wind”, Kiri Te Kanawa to sing the “Ave Maria” and top Asian stars from China, India and Thailand to perform.

TAT said recently that Taiwanese boy band F4 and diva Coco Lee would perform at the event. Popular Thai singers and celebrities will also step on stage.

A similar event was held in April when the World Tourism Organisation hosted a recovery plan seminar attended by national tourism ministers from various countries.

Suwalai Pinpradab, director of TAT’s Phuket office, said the Authority was preparing a budget for the event.

TAT plans to organise Tsunami Memorial Day as one of a series of big events from December 25 to 28. It has invited leading event organisers in Thailand to submit proposals for organising the extravaganza.

Tourism Minister Somsak Thepsuthin is due to talk today with TAT executives and private sector representatives about plans for the event and how to proceed with Andaman recovery plans.

A Turncoat in the Cola War


Nicholas Tse has jumped ship. His contract to endorse Coca-Cola expired, and rather than renew it, he switched his allegiance to Pepsi.
He makes for a rather unconvincing spokesperson now, having claimed in ads for his former employer that he would always be true to Coke, but Pepsi must be counting on his legions of fans' unquestioning devotion to their idol.
Nicholas leaves Coke's stable of celebrities, which includes girl groups Twins and S.H.E., track star Liu Xiang, and actress Cecilia Cheung. He joins Jay Chou, Jolin Tsai, Aaron Kwok, F4, and David Beckham at Pepsi. Decide for yourself whether his coolness quotient will rise or fall.

There were signs, of course. Back in 2000 Nicholas was fraternizing with the enemy, in the form of pop princess and Pepsi representative Faye Wong. There was a minor scandal when Nic tossed a Pepsi can at paparazzi when he and Faye were making their getaway. And ever since his run-in with the law in 2002 there have been murmurs that he would leave Coca-Cola when his contract was up.

Who's next? Pepsi may have snapped Nicholas up because one of its stars, Jay Chou, has been photographed drinking a beverage made by President, a Taiwanese company.

F4 to occupy Hong Guan next year in March


The F4 heat wave will be attacking Hong Kong. Following their "reunion" in Thailand, next year in March the four will step onto the stage of Hong Guan to quence HK fans' thirsts. It's already been decided that Dong Ya Yu Le will be hosting this concert.

According to what's known, Dong Ya originally wanted to hold the concert this December so that like their concert 3 years ago, they would be spending Christmas with fans. However in December is already scheduled for an ice skating event, pushing back the date to F4's concert. It's already been 3 years since F4 held a concert in HK so tickets will surely be in high demand. Therefore F4's manager Yao Yi Jun said, "It's still not 100% certain because we're afraid that it'll affect filming schedules but there will definitely be a concert. It's only the time that isn't fixed yet." On the 21st F4 will be releasing a pictorial in Japan with Tokyo life as the theme.

Are you from the PHILIPPINES? If yes, original Meteor Garden 1&2 VCD box set is available at all leading video and music stores in Manila. I think some video stores are even putting it on a discounted price if you get the whole set...

F4's popularity is rising in Japan. To coordinate with the promotions for their pictorial "F4@Tokyo" and new CD "Fantasy 4ever," the four's handsome posters will be seen on several trains in Tokyo that women usually take, aiming to hold Japan's working women fans captive.

Starting from yesterday until August 19th, big F4 posters will be seen at Tokyo's Xi Wu Chi Dai and Xi Wu Xin Su railroads. These ladies ride these trains to work and back, the peak hours and is limited to females only. And at other times, F4's commercial train can be used by males.

ZZ will have to talk about the 4-sided relationship
Recently there has been many rumors on Vic Chou (Zai Zai). He was originally suppose to explain his love life at "Silence Shen Qing Mi Ma"'s press conference a few days ago. But because of typhoon Haitang, the press conference is temporarily cancelled, hence "saving" him. But ZZ will have to explain to the public soon or later about his relationship with Da S, Xu Wei Luna and Valen Hsu. It's been spreading that after ZZ got into a car accident Da S rushed to the scene and comforted him by giving him a hug. But yesterday it was proven that the one who hugged ZZ was his assistant Lu Shu Juan. Because after she arrived she saw ZZ alone and looking really pitiful, she hugged him.

Bao Long and Zai Zai's manager is great at covering up

For the past 2 days Jerry Yan's whereabouts have been a mystery. Last night at 7pm he and his manager Zhi Xiang Li talked on the phone. Zhi Xiang Lin asked him, "Where are you?" He replied, "I'm in Taiwan." Zhi Xiang Li asked again, "Did you read the newspaper? The media are asking if you went to Dalian to visit Lin Zhi Ling." Jerry laughed and said, "Nonsense."

The media took that simple word to heart. Visiting someone isn't something bad. Besides, Lin Zhi Ling fell off a horse and injured 6 rib bones. Her condition is serious. Jerry going to visit his good friend during the free time he has off from work is so romantic. But since the media saw the backview of someone who looked like Jerry on Sunday, the process in which the media was running for news was like that of chasing a criminal. Jerry's whereabouts are a mystery, his manager keeps on repeating himself and the media are busy guessing. No wonder someone described this as "operation hunt the dragon."

A few nights ago when the drama crew of "White Tower" knew that Bao Long might go to visit Lin Zhi Ling, they nervously called manager Ah Juan to ask if she informed Jerry and if he would make it. Ah Juan told the drama crew that Bao Long was in Korea (did she mean the Philippines?) and won't be back in time. Yesterday reporters talked with Ah Juan on the phone. Ah Juan first said, "He's in Taiwan." Reporters asked, "Are you saying that he's been in Taiwan for the past few days?" Ah Juan said, "Yes." Reporters asked, "Then why did you guys tell the drama crew that he was in Korea yesterday?" Ah Juan's answer immediately turned intom "Oh I don't know where he was before but he's in Taiwan now."

Yesterday Zhi Xiang Li said that Jerry left a message for him at 3pm telling Zhi Xiang Li to call him. The enter afternoon Zhi Xiang Li was at a meeting for Karen Mok's concert. He didn't call Bao Long until 7pm. He said yesterday, "Wasn't the media waiting at the airport? Since they weren't able to take any photos then that means he didn't go."

The typhoon has already left but ZZ still hasn't come out yet. Yesterday, the already delayed "Shen Qing Mi Ma" costume fitting press conference was delayed once again. Vanness - I like the feeling of the history musuem's room of pictures that are taken there. The surrondings of Classical, yes, it's the atmosphere, I'm wearing a tee-shirt. I like the feeling of the place which is a little run-down.

Jerry - Other than the work scenes, it's good to say jokes to make each other happy. This picture, the smiles are very natural ?

Vic - I like pictures of the scenes of members talking. It is the 4 together, the first attraction.

Ken - In this world, the animal that loves me the most is a cat. If a cat is beside me, all my problems are gone. Also, i like the pictures of all 4 in suits.

F4 getting together for possible album

On cover of this special magazine are f4 members vanness wu and vic zhou. These 2 people continue to of course give delight to their fans. One came from America and the other from Taiwan just for the photoshoot of this lovely cover. As for the next album of solo, as to when will this come out now that F4 group is getting together all the time, Vanness quoted saying "it is difficult to say now" F4 projects are infrequent now as far as drama series/movies or album is concerned, but they indeed had the time for the photograph collection book out in Japan, and because of that, the reaction of the fans was very pleasant. One photographer of F4 has said that the best shot of F4 was sitting down on the sofa on a suit.

- Filming Far East International Trial in Beijing
Has juz finished filming in Beijing, returned to Taiwan with XiaoZhi yest. He has not recovered from his flu, and had gone to see the doctor.

He will rest the next few days. Thank u for everyone's concern.
Next month, Ken will start doing promotions for the movie. Believe there will be chances to meet up with China fans then.

Zaizai's schedule is full with fliming a television drama and commercials. There is no way he can request for leave from the fliming crew. Ken is looking at his empty slots and trying to compromise. He might be able to attend but we will tell everyone when there is confirmed news.

- Ken's movie would be promoting in which countries and whether it would be screened in which countries ? As the movie have just finished fliming, we would have to wait for the movie company to arrange the movie promo and schedule and won't be known that fast. As to City of Sky's broadcast time and date, it is not within our control. Once the drama fliming has finished, it means our job has been completed. The time and date of broadcast is up to ZhongYang Tai to decide. Everyone can send their feedbacks to ZhonYang Tai if you wish to see the drama being broadcast earlier. This way, you can also know when the drama would be broadcast soon. With the same logic, Vanness's movie's promo date and screen schedule would be arranged by the movie company.

- As to Zaizai's tv drama outdoor scenes, the fliming crew and Da Lian have not come to terms thus we're not confirmed whether he will be heading to Da Lian to flim. The crew would be arranging fliming at other countries but everything is still under discussions.

- Vanness would be busy with another job in August and the making of his album would have to be stopped for awhile. Next, his Dragon Squad movie would need promo and his schedule would be very busy. The complete date of his album and release date will have to be arranged properly with the record company and Vanness's schedule. Right now, there is no exact date for everyone.

Jerry - Back is a bit high, the feet is long, each description that
makes Jerry unique. He also has the kind of aura that gives pleasant
smile to the people who see him. he has a descriptive charm that gets
attention from most of the women from all walks of life. His face aura
blends the entire body, it becomes the IT picture.

Vanness - a personality that defines being ACTIVE in and out, however,
with the serious eyes, he also has a mischievous part of him. As this
time, Vanness makes his hair very short, everybody becomes surprised,
but the shortness of his hair creates good appeal, matching his small
face, the what you call the boyish cut increases his admirers more.

Ken - Ken is much comfortable with the group, he has the natural
posture and does not need any tutorial for posing. He has a natural

F4 is so popular, whole lots of people trying to get it's "light" !

F4 was once the main characters in Japanese manga, Meteor Garden. However, because of an idol drama, F4 became a representive word in Taiwan. And because F4 became so popular, there was a egg tart scene. Ridiculously, there are the little F4, girl version of F4 band. Even Daniel Wu wants to form a HK version F4 with 3 other hunks to go into the music industry. This wave of F4 is really shocking people.

Edited from the Japanese manga, Meteor Garden, it made the 4 main characters, Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Vanness Wu and Ken Chu being brought up as high as the sky and it made the title F4 made popular overnight. It touched the headlines of each media, even extending out to HK, Japan, Brunei, Indonesia and more Asia countries. Their charm swept through, Japan's train service even decided to display F4 photos in and out of the train to show their popularity level in Japan.

After F4, the first to beli asli dong was Little F4 Group started in 2003. There were all average of 7.5 years old kids. You can't name them as handsome but they were going by the adorable way, singing and dancing in front of the camera. As F4 was popular, Little F4 group took a little advantage and got onto the media's headlines at times. Howevever, they disappeared after some time, it showed they were only taking the F4 wave train ride to get as much as they could.

Daniel Wu says they are the middle aged F4. However, many people still sees the charm of ALIVE. They invited them to release an album. In August, they would be going to Taiwan to attend an event. With the labeling of HK's F4, there would be another round of discussions again.

Did you know that F4 will be starting a new drama?
I saw it in one of Vanness's site. He said that after filming his new movie "Dragon Squad" F4 will be working again in a new hit serie but I don't know when that will be because since Vanness is still in L.A., USA working on his second album and Vic is filming his new serie as well as Jerry and Ken so I'm not sure.
I remember the site was http://www.vannesswuvann.proboards38.com but it doesn't seem to be working and I just saw it like last week.
The leading lady isn't Barbie Hsu, it is someone else ....that's sad bUt it's okay.
