Yesterday Gigi Lai and Kevin Cheng were at a new series Enjoyable Life 《寫意人生》's costume fitting. In the series they are a couple and Gigi was asked if she is worried there will be rumors with Kevin, "No, we didn't have any rumors when were were filming 《通天幹探》 earlier so I am not worried." In the series Gigi plays a girl who is talented in writing but has a crippled right hand. Gigi claims that it requires alot of skills, "Right now I am practicing not using my right hand and using my left hand to write my name!"

As with Kevin said to have recieved $1,000,000 for filming a health advertisement, Kevin said, "It's not as much as they say. They just made the amount up. I'm afraid of the taxes." Kevin was also said to have sat next to TVB high executive Lok Yi Ling at her birthday party. He said, "There were alot of people that day and I just sat next to Liu Jia Chang."

I am still waiting to see the serie with Kevin, Bosco, Sharon, and bernice. I hope the serie will come out soon. Also a serie with Kevin and Gigi is a new thing, i can't wait to see

Yesterday Angela Tong, Kevin Cheng, Cherie Kong, and others attended a function to popular Japanese cartoon, Keroro the movie. Kevin expressed that he has been extremely busy recently. Although the filming for series 《通天幹探》 is almost finished, he still needs to record for his album and film the music video for his new song 《鄭重聲明》. Kevin Cheng was the guest for yesterday's BMW conference. The company arranged for Kevin to enter the stage while driving a new race car worth 750,000 Yuan. When he said that this is like his dream car, he was asked whether he will buy one to ask girls out. He quickly said, "My looks are already enough! Why should I buy a car then? Yesterday Kevin Cheng was at a t-shirt charity. Regarding Mike He signing with TVB to challenge the four siu sungs, Kevin is also a victim of it. He said, "I don't have any opinions. Everyone will work on their own things. He can speak Mandarin as a Taiwanese person and I'll speak Cantonese as a Hong Kong person. There aren't any conflicts between our roles." When asked if he thinks Mike or himself is more handsome, he laughed and said, "People have their own opinions. So Kevin has a new series coming up with Niki Chow.. I heard that it's the "tragic" version of UTCOL but with a different storyline. They'll be going to Japan for a month or something to film! That'll be interesting... I liked UTCOL so hopefully this series will be good too. I can't wait to see more Kevin and Niki chemistry! And apparently Kevin said that he wants the two of them (him and Niki) to be known as this generation's ideal lovers, like Chow Yun Fat and Dodo Cheng, etc

Hi I just want to see a show of hands if anyone doesn't support a Nikki and Kevin pairing? No offence to all that do like them as an onscreen couple but I reckon Kev's too good looking and overshadows Nikki (hahaha jokes) But seriously, I don't jump over the moon whenever they are paired up together...I hope TVB can give Kevin a chance with different leading ladys (sorry K&N fans)

I love Kevin and Niki together, but yeah you're right, maybe Kevin should have some more series with other actresses.. he's so hot and he has the acting abilities to generate chemistry with almost anyone. I remember in Slim Chances, one of the first series that I saw him in, he had great chemistry with Annie Man... and then I liked him with both Charmaine and Tavia in Yummy Yummy. I'm looking forward to seeing him in more roles (hopefully a breakthrough role!)

And as to your second point, yeah TVB has a lot of these well rounded good guy characters... but Kevin does a nice job of portraying them, so I guess they just picked the best person for the role

Gigi Lai and Kevin Cheng were filming for new series "An Easy Life" for the opening and ending scenes, where the ending tells of Kevin bringing out fake flowers and rainbows to win over Gigi's heart. Afterwards, Kevin revealed that he does not know how to charm women in real life: "The best I can do is make cakes. If my girlfriend didn't mind, then I would cook her dinner to show my feelings." However, he does not admit to being a nerd because he has his smarter side. For Gigi who is totally smitten at the end of the show, she says: "I have never met such a romantic man before, but I would like a caring boyfriend like this."

Kevin Cheng is TVB's new Golden Boy

The second round of TVB's Jade Solid Gold Selections took place on Saturday evening, where the number of awards handed out jumped to fourteen and there were three special awards presented for Most Popular Commercial Song, Most Popular Mandarin Song and Newcomers Improvement Award. These were presented to Andy Lau, Kevin Cheng and Vincy respectively. As the rule is that you cannot win an award if you do not attend, then even TVB's godson Hacken Lee was empty handed this time as his award was given to Kevin Cheng instead for his song "Mo Ho Noi Ho" (Can't Take Any More).

When it was suggested to Kevin that TVB are looking out for him, he said modestly that everyone has the chance. Asked about why Hacken did not win an award, Kevin avoided the question. He says that he is happy to win an award and after thirteen years in showbiz, this year has been the most fruitful for him and he hopes to continue keeping up this success. Asked if he is confident of winning an award at the end of the year, he says he is not trying too hard and will go with the flow.

Talking of the rule about attendance to win awards, Andy Hui feels that every channel has their own rules and if the singers can accept this, then they will continue to attend, if they cannot accept this, then it is not their wrong. Asked if he will be attending all the awards ceremonies at the end of the year, he says that is currently negotiating his filming work at the end of the year and he may not be able to attend every ceremony. Andy was asked if he feels that making money is more important than winning awards and he laughs that he would like to have both, otherwise he will leave the decision to his manager.

Andy Lau says that he just has to accept the attendance rule. He says that he will be filming in Beijing for a movie at the end of the year, so he doubts he will be able to attend the awards ceremonies at the end of the year. Asked if he no longer cares for awards, Andy denies this and says that this is not the case, but if the rules are such, then there is nothing he can do. Andy says he is not surprised at the news of Nic Tse and Cecilia Cheung's marriage as this is a big step and they are both adults. As for suggestions that there is a baby on the way, Andy says offers his congratulations if this is true.

The programme's producer Poon Yu Kai was asked if Hacken lost out on an award because of his absence, but he explains that this was decided by the votes and Hacken's song "I wear Number 10" is not among the top 14. Asked why there were 14 awards instead of the normal 12, he says that as there were delays to the date of the ceremony, they decided to balance this by offering two extra awards. This will return to 12 next time and there is no case of 'sharing the awards'.

Meanwhile, Eason Chan had to cut his earlier performance short at a Metro Radio concert in order to attend the TVB show and on the stage, he made some rather cutting comments about TVB's attendance rule, laughing that if he does not attend to get his award, his company will go bankrupt and then asking why TVB don't go out to him to present the award. Asked later if he intentionally rushed over to TVB, he said: "Yes, I have a song in there, but I don't know if I will win an award. I am quite nervous because there was nothing last time and this is quite important to the [record] company."

I have a pretty random question . . .has anyone heard Kevin speak English? He's born in the USA and lived there till he started singing. . .but I've never seen him speak complete English . .. XD
