Niki Chow & Kevin Cheng pairing: TV Ratings in Danger

Last night "Jade Gold Solid" was being held, singers that attended include: Kevin Cheng, Niki Chow, Vincy Chan, Kay Tse and Irene Wan, etc. Rumored couple Kevin Cheng and Niki Chow, held hands and sang "The Seventh Day"'s sub theme, afterwards Kevin and Vincy sang the theme song together. Kevin says that he does not mind promoting as a couple with Niki, the most important is to help the ratings. Earlier there was a report that Mrs. Fong was not satisfy with Kevin singing the theme song and wanted Vincy to do a female version before it aired. Kevin also saw the report, Mrs. Fong just suggested it to Mrs. Lok, nothing happened and also the report wrote it wrong. The theme song was sang only by him, not with Niki. So if the theme song doesn't sound good, it has nothing to do with Niki. He says that he does not mind if theres an extra female version, it will help improve the ratings. He should be thanking them. Asked if he would have hard feelings? Kevin expresses that he wouldn't, but its the poor ratings that is causing him to be a bit unhappy.

"Next Time"
Niki Chow also feels somewhat pity for the poor ratings of "The Seventh Day", as for reporters' suggestion of revealing the true relationship to improve ratings, she giggles at the suggestion and happily said "Next time! So cute! (So it can be discussed?) Well the rating's aren't that good, Niki heard that its because earlier Lydia's Memorial was airing, so "7th Day" had stop broadcasting for a day, many audiences could go online and download the episode because in Singapore it never stopped broadcasting, that's why they are faster than Hong Kong by one episode. Also, Lydia's death caused some sadness, maybe audience did not have the mood to be watching series at that time. She hopes that viewers can now feel better and enjoy the series.

As for Irene Wan, last night she appeared on "Jade" in a low-cut dress, she expresses that she has not been on "Jade" for many years. Last night during the show, she sang many new songs 《我真的受傷了》 and 《火玫瑰》 Themesong - 《海潮》.

Boys Punished: Kevin Cheng a Bridge, Bosco Wong almost tearing pants

Yesterday Niki Chow, Kevin Cheng, Bosco Wong, Natalie Tong and etc. attended a promotional event in a shopping mall for TVB series "The Seventh Day". Yesterday was the International Mother-Daughter Work Day, the female actresses took the opportunity to make fun of the male actors. Niki afraid to act with Child
First time acting with a dog, Niki did not have much problem during filming. Compared to acting with a child, it is much easier for her because children are hard to control and also can cry easily. Earlier Niki's precious dog left the world, asked if she would get another dog, she says: "Not right now, maybe in the next few years or when I retire, then I'll raise another one." Kevin Cheng Ka Wing attended an event promoting public recycling yesterday. Since TVB's founder, Sir Run Run Shaw, has been hospitalized recently, there have been numerous speculations about his condition taking a drastic turn.

Was Kevin aware of Sir Run Run Shaw's current health condition? Kevin said, "I am concerned about Mr. Shaw. Since I can not do much, I can only pray for his early recovery."

The ending for "The Seventh Day" 《最美麗的第七天》will be broadcast tonight. Kevin will be meeting with the cast and crew of "The Seventh Day" to view the finale and have dinner together. He indicated that a celebratory dinner does not require high ratings.

"The entire cast and crew put in their efforts. Now that the audience is finally able to view the series, we should celebrate the occasion. Perhaps this is the first time that we are holding a celebratory dinner despite the ratings not being too good."

Kevin expressed disappointment in the ratings for "The Seventh Day." The audience's viewing preferences were difficult to predict. In the future when Kevin is asked about projections for a series' ratings, he intends to respond in a neutral manner.

Kevin Cheng Regrets His "Big Tone" (making Big Deal of the Ratings)

Last night, TVB series "The Seventh Day" broadcast its finale, Kevin Cheng wanted to invite other cast & crew members including Niki Chow, Kiki Sheung, Selena Li and so on for a dinner celebration at restaurant in Causeway Bay, where they would watch the finale together.

Remain Calm
Kevin felt that he is the host, technically speaking he is the one who invites guests but he refuses to reveal how many seats that he had at the dinner, he only said that he invited anyone who was involved with "The Seventh Day" and they attended. Afterall, everyone who worked hard in this series, now that its over, it is necessary to do a celebration. He stressed that he had no intention to make this dinner a promotion. The series ratings was disappointing, but he feels that the discussions of the series is the most important as the audience has good taste and hard to predict their feelings, making the ratings hard to predict as well. He in the future will also just remain calm in regards to his series ratings, he will not say that the ratings will definitely be high.

Niki: The Discussions are good
Niki also agrees with Kevin's views, she feels that the series discussions are good. Asked when will she film another series with TVB, she smiles: "once there is a good script and if its right time then there will be an opportunity, but if I had to do another romantic series with Kevin Cheng, that will need to take a rest. Kevin Cheng jokes and Proclaims he’s Disabled as he can’t Dance.
Kevin Cheng, Myolie Wu, Kenneth Ma, Angela Tong, Nancy Wu, Derek Kwok, Timmy Hung, Grace Wong, Eddie Kwan and Christine Ng headed off to Wu Nan yesterday to represent TVB for the collaboration show (Strictly Come Dancing 2). Numerous people have expressed that they favour Nancy Wu and Grace Wong as they both have dancing experience. But Kevin Cheng, Timmy Hung, Kenneth Ma and the other guys proclaimed themselves as (The Disabled Youth’s.) They joked that they would use their secret weapons to cause chaos for the China Female representatives. Last time Dancing King Michael Tse had won the competition, but this time only Nancy Wu and Grace Wong had dancing experience in the past.


Eliminated in the First Round
Kenneth Ma joked “Christine Ng and me have already planned to be eliminated in the first round”. Also Myolie stated that she thought Timmy Hung was pretty good but he later expressed “As for the male’s particpants there’s only 5 disabled youths. When I did a cowboy dance I looked like a rebel. The male’s are weaker this year but that’s why we have to create chaos for the China female particpants.

Sexy Outfits
In addition, Myolie Wu and Angela Tong will dance Latin and Tango. They will both wear sexy outfits such as the one’s Shirley Yeung wore last year. Myolie immediately laughed “ I’m not as sexy as Shirley”. She also explained that she had a lot of pressure during rehearsals. “ The dance routine is focused on feel, not only do you have to dance but you have to act too. “
Angela Tong claimed that the outfits were very tight and sexy therefore she would need to exercise regularly.

Grace Wong used to dance Hip hop at her university. While Nancy Wu has 8 years experience in Chinese Dance. Nancy found it difficult to adapt to Latin. “It’s my first time learning Latin dance. At first it was very hard to adapt to and I found it difficult to learn. I also had a lot of minor injuries. But the most important thing is that I don’t injure my waist.

Yesterday Kenneth Ma and Kevin Cheng both accepted an interview to talk about their experience in participating in "Strictly Come Dancing 2". Kevin said directly that he does not like dancing, but he feels that avoiding it is not going to be successful: "at first, I wanted to avoid it as much as possible, but I also wanted to try and face it. Niki Chow Compliments “Mainland China’s Version of Kevin Cheng”

Niki Chow is currently filming TV series “The Sword and the Book” in Hengdian for many months. There are rumours that she is developing a love relationship with “Mainland China’s version of Kevin Cheng”, Qiao Zhen Yu (喬振宇). Niki did not hide her good feelings by praising Zhen Yu. Kevin Cheng makes no Dancing Mistakes, Successfully goes through to next round

TVB and Hunan’s Collaboration show "Strictly Come Dancing Season 2 " continued it’s competition yesterday. It was the first time the participants performed in their pairs. Kevin Cheng, Myolie Wu, Nancy Wu, Grace Wong and Christine Ng etc successfully got through the next round. Kevin Cheng who has little experience in dancing paired up with Myolie Wu. During the rehearsals they had alot of difficulties and it was very worrying. But they kept the thought "Even if we lose we must not lose badly". Unexpectedly they gave a very good performance in the live show and made no mistakes. They were also the pair with the most votes from the audience. Afterwards Kevin said "I never thought it would be that successful".

Earlier Nancy Wu injured her waist during a rehearsal and had to go to the hospital for a X-ray. She was worried that her injury would effect her performance with her dancing partner Lee Seung Hyun (Korean). This caused her to cry and have a low mood. Fortunately she gave a spectacular performance and was awarded the highest points for the evening.

The production team had arranged Korean's famous group "Super Junior" to perform as guest stars on the show. Their performance gave the audience a very exciting atmosphere.

Kevin attended the PokerStars Macau opening yesterday afternoon. At the beginning, under the lead of high ranking executives, he observed a minute of silence for the Sichuan victims & expressed that he would donate a portion of his winnings from the event, hoping that many little contributions would add up to something great & help those Sichuan countrymen.

Kevin revealed that during those days whereby he was studying abroad, he and his classmates would play poker. However, the bets would always be US$10 plus. Furthermore, they treated that as a kind of healthy play. Yesterday night Kevin played with world renowned experts and mentioned that he would like to learn the "essential character" of gambling kings for it would be of aid to his acting.

As for recent reports that Stephen Chan's new favouritism Wong Hei would take up most of Kevin's screentime in BF3, Kevin replies, "I don't think so. Actually in the show, me, Wong Hei, Bosco Wong and myself have roughly equal screentime. I don't feel that it is good to bicker about how much screentime we have. What's most important is that we get to bring out our characters. Next week, Kevin will be returning to Hunan to continue with the recording of SCD.


Kevin Hopes to Win Money To Help the Earthquake Victims

Yesterday, Kevin Cheng filmed "Burning Flame 3" outdoors at a vacant Huang3 Zhu2 Keng1 (a place in HK, not sure what it's called in English). He had to abseil from the 7th storey down to the 5th storey to save an AIDS patient who was in an agitated mood. As it was raining, it raised the danger of that stunt. The director did ask Kevin if he was willing to film that scene all by himself (without using any stunt doubles) & Kevin smiled & said, "Of course I would say I dared to, 'my face' is of great concern. Actually when I filmed da4 xue2 kuang2 ben1 in Australia years ago, I did try walking down from the 2nd storey while being tied to a rope. Last week Kevin and Wong Hei were filming BFIII at Aberdeen (香港仔). Since it's a big production, TVB put in a lot of effort for this series. For the filming of a car crash scene on that day, they arranged to have firemen, ambulance at the scene and even closed a vehicle lane to facilitate the filming; it was quite a big deal.

Wong Hei, who was rumoured to be making a lot of noise requesting for contract termination, did not play fireman on that day; he was only a first-aid crew. He did not have much scenes, thus most of the time he sat aside to wait for his turn. Also, the weather was very hot, thus making him rather uninterested.

Kevin who was a fireman on that day, was more pitiful as he had to wear the thick uniform. After just taking a few short steps, he would start sweating already. In that scene, Kevin needed to run out to the middle of the road quite often. With so much smoke and lots of passing cars, Kevin whose health is not that good, quickly covered up his mouth and nose the moment he heard the director yelled "Cut", just to play safe.

Wearing those thick firemen uniforms was like going to a sauna; Kevin also mentioned that out of all his filming experience, Burning Flame has been the most grueling. So, yesterday’s boating scene was a welcomed relaxing “vacation”. When asked how he had managed to stay in good shape, Kevin smiled and said “If you want to lose weight, film Burning Flame. I usually lose weight easily and hardly exercise. I only depend on playing tennis and jogging to keep fit. I eat lots of vegetables and less meat; also, whenever I have to work, I will stay away from sweet food.”

When Bosco was asked why he wore singlet throughout the filming, he laughed “Even though my body is ok, but it is still not fit enough.” Bosco’s rumoured girlfriend, Myolie also switched her attention to Kevin. When she was asked whether Kevin or Bosco had a better body, she said “Of course it’s Kevin. He’s known to have a good body.
