I have bought those japan made hair straightener kits before.. it's easy to use, just like those at home hair coloring kits. It lasted for a couple of months only though, and I think it's not so good for the hair too. So I switch to ionizing straightening iron instead..

Use a hot iron hair straightener. My fringe is really curly but I when I use my hair straightener it becomes really straight. :]

I think the most permanent way to have straight hair is rebonding technique. They are however done in a saloon and there r different types. The one that I have tried takes about 4 hours to be completed but your hair do become dead straight and it lasts about half a year. Your new hair growth will be same as bafore ie if u have curly or wavy hair, then it will come out curly or wavy but the part that has been treated before will remain straight. I have tried all sorts of home method like hot oil, serum , ironing plates, home straightening kits but they dont seem to work so in the end I resorted to professional help. Hope this helps.

I once used a straightening shampoo.. australian brand. I used it for a few months and during that time, my hair was straight (although the results are not equivalent to those when permanently or iron-ed straightened). But then again, my hair isnt super curly. It's jst naturally a little wavy.

Best is iron straightening everytime after u shower. its pretty easy and I do it all the time.

use a straightner
a straightning iron is like....an iron for your hair
you know the concept of an iron is to straighten your clothes, well this iron is made for your hair.

the thing is, you have to do it daily for the straight hair look
you just clamp the iron to the hair you want straightened and pull so that the heat makes the hair straight

i have a straightner but it doesnt really for for me.. iunno why =P recently when i went shopping i saw this stuff that you put in ur hair [theres gel form and spray form] and then you use a blow dryer or straightner to make it straight.. i dunno if it works tho =Pif you dont have the time to use the straightner or hairdryer, then why dont you get it done in the salon? its like $100 and it will last for min. 1/2 year =]

Well I say be careful if your going to straighten your hair. Everytime you straightners or any kind of b*llsh*t like that it causes damage to your hair. I would say use a straightening iron you can get them at Argos for cheap if you live in the UK.

Straighteners are not expensive but they damage your hair very much... if u really need one I'll recommend one wif steam, those are after all better

They have something called Thermal Straightening...they say your hair stays straight for a few months. I think they have it at most salons.

is BioSilk like shampoo or conditioner, or is it like a finishing product...like you put in on your hair after you straighten it?

i have friends who use straighteners every day and they said that ceramic straighteners are the best because they last a really long time... like two days... but its really damaging to your hair so you'd probably have to use a really good conditioner

you can get it straightened at like a salon or sumthing. it should be straight for up to months i think. im not sure how long it lasts.

i personally use a straigtening iron and straighten my hair that way. my hair is fine tho. it doenst do too much damage. but if you want to really protect your hair from heat damage, you should buy a heat tamer product or sumthin. it keeps moisture in your hair and prevents it from drying out bc of the heat. i cant really reccomend any brands. bc the ones i've tried havent really worked. but i dont use a heat tamer anymore. pantene conditioner works fine for me. my hair isnt dried out or anything. and i straighten my hair like everyday.

Can u use the hair iron straightener things if u have like 1-2 inches of hair? Ya for sum reason Im full chinese with curlish hair. I wasnt born with curly hair tho, but for some reason it started to turn curly when I was in the fifth grade. Weird how no1 in my family has curly hair except my one of my uncles told me my great great grandfather has curly hair.

I don't think you have enough hair to straighten xD! You might want to look for a smaller iron. They make ones that are only 1 3/8" in width.

For permanent purpose, I would suggest going out to a salon and do the straightening. I have no idea what they're calling those hair straighten style/process, but they'll explain it to you when you go there. It's still going to damage your hair, but a one time damage is better than those daily damages that you could do to your hair with those hair ironing.

I have extremely straight hair so getting it straight is not a problem for me. However, I do want to try and get it waved. lol. Just the opposite of you. GOod luck with your hair style. Oh yes, in one of those beauty books that are sold in almost every single bookstore, they once mentioned that you can use mayonnaise (yes, the kind that you use on your sandwich/salad), it'll make a nice conditioner. I tried it, and it works pretty good. The hair is softer and not as dry. But you have to rinse it very good, or else you'll get oily hair. ^^.

well i think there are straightening products out there that you can try. my friend is a freak when it comes to having straight hair and i think she uses this product from Dove. actually, i think all the brands associated with hair has similar products to straighten hair .. the best solution is to use ceramic hair straightener .. i don't think it takes that long and it works really well.

Either go to the salon and get a hair straighten treatment done. Or buy a hair straightener .
CHI makes a pretty good brand

If you are willing to pay money, you can go to a hair salon, they have a type of hair products that could make your hair to straighten for 3-6 months. That way you don't need to blowdry nor iron your hair to make it straight. You don't want to hurt your hair too much with ironing it, damages the tecture. But before you go, you should actually ask if those hair straightening products would damage your hair either. My cousin went to a hair salon to straighten her hair once and she lasts for almost half a year. I have curly hair myself, but I don't plan to straighten it at the salon. Cause I personally don't like the way they wash my hair their before straightening. They washed water mixed with soap in my ear before. I felt yucky and uncomfortable the whole time there.

The hair treatment is call the yuko system. It straightens without damaging your hair. Actually it makes your hair more shinny. The con to this is that it cost over 200 bucks!! I had it done and it lasted me 9 months with long hair! I didn't need to blow dry or anything, it's automatically straight when it dries. I recommend only doing it if you keep your hair long (at least pass the shoulders). It's a waste to do it if you have short hair b/c there's less pull on the bottom and your hair is not as straight.

I think the only way to straighten ur hair and not damage ur hair is to go to the salon. I mean a one time damage is better than a daily one. I like mine the way it is. Straight, and if I want it curly I can either get those curlers, or just get it into a bun/braid, and it'll be curly the next day. ^^

Those are the ones that will hurt your hair the MOST. You have to straighten your hair daily (if you're one of those person who believes you have "curly" hair when you don't, and won't get out of the house unless it's straight). Furthermore, with those ironings you'd need to use hair spray too. Now, depends on what hair spray you use, but there's a lot that contains harmful chemicals, and using them too much is just not good for your hair. Plus...hard hair doesn't feel comfy to me.

The best way is probably getting it done in the salons. Magic perm is probably the best solution for salons at the moment, although it does take 4 hours to finish. It's still a chemical process but at least it lasts a good amount of time. I got mine done in china and unlike most others my hair is still soft and not dead straight but straight enough if that makes any sense. So I guess it also depends on your hair.

Magic Perm, is this the one that's said to be from Japan? or is this the new one? I can't catch up with these new hair styling terms.

I think using a hair straightener is going to work :) I tried saving up my money to buy one but I always end up being broke. But I think a hair straightener is going to work.

It works, but it just damages your hair, since you might have to do it often. It won't stay straight for more than a few days (that is, IF it lasts that long).

towel drying it straight by putting a section of your hair in the towel and pulling it down multiple times or blow drying it straight.
