Kwon Sang Woo & Song Seung Heon, both Hallyu stars to cast in same film!

With the news of KSW and SSH both casting in Kim HG's film "Fate" being announced, it has stimulated the curiosity of both Korean fans as well as overseas fans. It is known that SSH's return movie work "Fate" is about the friendship of four friends and a true description on betrayal. Preparations are made for its shooting to begin in end May.

KSW and SSH are known to have worked together five years ago in the movie "Run First" in 2002. Previously both of them enjoyed rising popularity in Korea, Japan, Taiwan and other Asia regions. Not only has their joint partnership in the film become a focus of concern, it also has great significance.

On the other hand, it was thought that KSW will prepare for drama work but he changed his plan to movie as next work. The fact that "Fate" is the return work of SSH also played a considerable part in his decision to take part in the movie.

Kwon Sang Woo And Song Seung Hun To Appear Together For Their Next Movie



Simultaneously Casted In Director Kim Hae Gon's "Destiny"

After his close friend Song Seung Hun came back from military service, Kwon Sang Woo was casted in the movie "Destiny" (directed by Kim Hae Gon, and produced by MKDK¤ýM-net Media Inc.) for his comeback.

The production company MKDK for the movie "Destiny" revealed on the 19th that "after 'Almost Love,' Kwon Sang Woo chose 'Destiny' as his next project. The role he will be playing is the protagonist Jo Chul Joong, comes to a pitiful end because of his endless desires."

Kwon Sang Woo and Song Seung Hun are well-known in the entertainment community as close friends. Song Seung Hun had planned to appear in the drama "Sad Sonata" with Kwon Sang Woo, but because Song Seung Hun's military service issue grew bigger, he was not able to fulfill it as planned. When Kwon Sang Woo was still a rookie actor, they showed dynamic interaction in the movie "Make It Big!"

Director Kim Hae Gon revealed that the reason for his casting was that the image of Kwon Sang Woo, which seems tough but hides a gentleness inside, is just like the dual nature of the character Jo Chul Joong.

Even in the midst of a dispute with his previous agency and rumors of receiving threats from crime organizations, Kwon Sang Woo plans to appear in a drama right after confirming his next movie.

The movie "Destiny," which portrays the friendship of four friends and their betrayal, is still in search for the remaining roles and aims to start filming next month on the 21th.

The Korean Wave's 'Big 3' Heats up Jeju in May

Bae Young-Jun is currently shooting a historical drama on MBC called ‘Taewangsasingi’ (The King’s Four Gods) in the North Jeju County, which is scheduled to be televised in the beginning of July. Also, Song Seung-Hun and Kwon Sang-Woo will shoot an action film called ‘Sukmyeong’ (Fate), using Jeju as a possible prime location.



The main setting for ‘The King’s Four Gods’ civil war scene is planned to be shot at a current tourist location at North Jeju County’s Myosanbong Peak, an approximate 66,000 square meter site. The production costs for ‘The King’s Four Gods’ was estimated at over 38,700,000,000 Korean won (about 41,770,097 USD) and is currently being promoted to be distributed to 90 countries worldwide.

The two 31 year old “Korean wave” stars Song Seung Hun and Kwon Sang-Woo, are to film ‘Fate’ beginning on May 20, for a period of a month and a half. In the film, Song Seung-Hun plays Kim Woo-Min, a loyal friend who has served time in prison from being falsely convicted of murder. Kwon Sang-Woo, on the other hand, plays the role of Jo Cheol-Jung, a character that foresees a tragic end due to his ambition.

The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province will be taking this great opportunity of turning the “Korean Wave” tourism into a commodity by building a “Korean Wave Cultural Center” later this year.

Hi Bingcute - try to watch his another drama, Stairway To Heaven & you won't be disappointed with the story. The ending is a little bit sad, just like Sad Sonata but it's worth it. You'll fall in love with him more. I agree with you that he's hot & cute. : :

The Ex-manager jail sentenced for threatening Kwon Sang Woo

"If your you do not sign exclusive contract the weak points will be disclosed". The ex manager Park who wrote that threatening letter to Kwon Sang Woo has been jail sentenced.

The Seoul Central District Court has proved the written coercion suspicion by Kwon Sang Woo's ex manager and prosecuted him a penal servitude of 8 months after a defendant vis-a-vis to Kwon Sang Woo. Furthermore, the courthouse has cancelled the bail for Park and restrained legally.

As per a Judgment prefecture "Park denied his crime fact, but Kwon Sang Woo has proved all testimony included telephone call contents. Moreover, the witnesses are consistent with written coerces sent to Kwon Sang Woo. That is clear and efficiently." "The crime will be vicious if he is bailed out and it is necessary to isolate a fixed period from society."

So Ji Sub met Kwon Sang Woo & Song Seung Heon on the first day shooting of the movie, "Fate."



The movie "Fate" starring Song Seung Heon and Kwon Sang Woo started its first shooting on May 21st in Kangnam, Seoul.

KSW had no shooting schedule on that day so he appeared at the shooting to show his enthusiasm of involvement and support to his best friend, SSH.

A personnel from the scene said, "SSH and KSW were at the shooting and informed So Ji Sub, who was nearby. He then later appeared at the movie shooting venue. Having SSH, KSW, and SJS all appeared together attracted fans nearby who then rushed to see them and made shooting difficult."

SJS is a close friend of SSH and KSW, he lives near the place of shooting and came to show his support and concern by appearing at the scene.

The movie "Fate" which has gathered much concern is an action Noir film about the story of friendship and betrayal between friends.

Our dear Carmen of kswphil posted her experience at the making of "A Destiny" in Jeju island. She's sooooo lucky to have met KSW & SSH ssi!!!

I am in Jeju since June 9. Leaving tomorrow. Have met KSW and SSH and have watched street shooting of Destiny for 1 day until 2 am yesterday. Will watch again today, just waiting for KSW to come down. I am with Mieko Osato, a Japanese fan staying at Ramada where SW is. Will tell you more about it later when I get back home. KSW is so gorgeous. We are not allowed to take pictures in the location site. KSW drove very very fast and wove around several cars and turend as fast and back while the camera rolled. He did it 4 times and each time we clapped for him. He did not need a stuntman. When done, he got out of the car, faced his fans watching him screaming in delight, smiled, waved and bowed. Charming but shy. He was in all black shirt pants and coat, hair combed so sleek, make up a bit darker than his color. Very becoming. So many people watching the shooting, crew was having a hard time. It seems that there is lot of car chasing and banging each other. I bet the movie is violent. Talk to you later.

Korean Star Kwon Sang-woo Appears on Japanese TV
July 18, 2007

A Japanese online sports newspaper reported that Korean heartthrob Kwon Sang-woo will appear on a Fuji TV program. Kwon became popular in Japan with his work in the TV drama "Stairway to Heaven" opposite Choi Ji-woo of "Winter Sonata" fame.

Kwon is scheduled to appear on a program called "FNS 27 Hour TV" on July 28 and 29, as well as "The Adventure King 2007." Kwon's TV appearances are expected to set off another nationwide hallyu boom in Japan regarding a Korean actor.

Director Kim Hae Gon and the photophraphing staff were highly impressed by performance of two actors. Both actors who are well-known as intimate friends have unfolded virtue of a strain competition in the movie roles.

In order to pile up the coming programme of Fuji TV attending actor Kwon Sang Woo the organizers have arranged an exceptional helicopter to ensure the actor's presence. Kwon Sang Woo will be the protagonist of the Fuji TV Live programme and becomes the first actor receives the exceptional utilizating helicopter on the invitation to attending Live Fuji TV 27. It is scheduled Kwon to happen from 7 PM to 10 PM.

Kwon Sang Woo Japanese Fan club donate gifts to Earthquake victims on his birthday

Today Kwon Sang Woo Japanese fan club have participated a charity event Wishing Angel to contribute and collect gift to donate to the earthquake disaster area.

To continue relating activities taken place in round an Asia recently there were about 56 Japanese pans who are deeply impressed by Kwon Sang Woo's generousity opening a Red cross charity and have collected over JPY253,000 equivalent to Won 2 Millions to remit to the earthquake victims.

This remittance donated under Kwon Sang Woo's name by Japanese fan on his 31st birthdays. The fund has been opened from July 23 to July 31.

Last year November a charity foundation named "Make a wish with Kwon Sang Woo" have been established and KSW is the ambassador. This foundation is to help desease children and juniors.

It is also a reply to the campaign of St.Vincent's Hospital in donating to children of Ghana. this is one of the main reason of Kwon Sang Woo trip to Japan from July 27 to July 29.

In last year July 10 Kwon Sang Woo Japanese fans also contributed over JPY 1 million (equivalent to Won 830 millions) to the Japanese earthquake victims in Fukuoka.

Also in the last year December on the Asia promote trips endorsed for TheFaceshop Kwon Sang Woo had visited and participated several charity events to donate housing to the poor people in Taiwan and The Philippines.

Hello everyone I'm from California USA, I'm a new fan member of Kwong Sang Woo, I have never watch Korean movie at all, but when I watch Stairway to Heaven KSW has inspired me alot. I really admired his talented performance in the movie. Plus going through this web and finding out so much about KSW as got me involve to finding out more about him.
