LONDON: Britain's Total Film magazine readers have bestowed the 2005 Favorite Film award on "Batman Begins" starring Christian Bale.

The Best Movie Villain was Scotland's Ian McDiarmid, who was Supreme Chancellor Palpatine in "Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith," the BBC reported Sunday.

Mickey Rourke was Man of the Year for his role as street fighter Marv in "Sin City" and the favorite animals were the squirrels from "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."

The best child actor was Dakota Fanning, 11, for her role in Steven Spielberg's "War of the Worlds."

The awards were decided on a vote by about 15,000 readers of the British film magazine.
