LONDON, Nov. 5 : Jamelia has been named Britain's top R&B act for her album, "Thank You," at the third annual Urban Music Awards in London.
Lethal B won best garage artist for "Against All Odds" and Raghav was named best chart act, the BBC reported Saturday.
The best album was Roll Deep's "In At the Deep End" and Skinny Man was named best hip-hop act for "I'll Be Surprised." The newcomer award went to Sway Dasafo for "Flo Fashion."
The best reggae act was Maxi Priest, Roni Size took honors for best drum and bass act and the top prize in jazz went to Courtney Pine.
BBC Radio 1's Ras Kwame was crowned best DJ and publisher Marcus Miller was named best entrepreneur.
The Urban Music Awards are decided by a public vote.
