oh that is him... .
he also acted in the movie with shu qi rite? i think that movie is called Three times.
he is not bad looking, i haven't seen any of his movies or his series, so i will not comment on it.
but i think he looks cool when he is bald, and i don't believe that rumors which said about him and shu qi were dating, they don't match :P no offense :lol?:

I first noticed him in 'Chinese Oddessey' with Vicki Zhao, I really liked his character in that movie..that's the only movie I've seen of him actually...'Silk' will mark the second movie I watch with him in it! :D

Yes he is that actor. That was the first film I seen him in and he was really good in it. He had good chemistry with Zhang Ziyi.

I haven't seen him in another move yet, so I haven't seen the movie "Silk" yet. What is it about? Is it a good movie to watch?

I thought he was great in "Three Times" with Shu Qi, and I'm also a little skeptical of the rumor that they were/are dating. The rumor magazines love it when someone is seen talking to or holding hands with someone, even if they are only friends. You never know and of course, the stars will never tell you! :)

He was also quite dashing and intense in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and I think his portrayal of his character was very strong. He turned in a much stronger performance than Zhang Ziyi, who seemed a little bit wooden. Not as ...expressive or persuasive as all the other actors.

Anyways, I saw him in Wong Kar-Wai's "2046," too and he was also good there. One of most beautifully filmed movies ever.

here's info on chang chen's new movie from wiki:

Quote

Red Cliff (Chinese: 赤壁), alternatively known as The Battle of Red Cliff, is a two-episode Chinese epic film based on the Battle of Red Cliffs and events during the Three Kingdoms period in Ancient China. The first episode is expected to be released in 2008. The film is directed by John Woo and stars Chang Chen, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Lin Chi-ling, Zhang Fengyi and Zhao Wei. With an estimated budget of US$80 million, The Battle of Red Cliff is the most expensive Asian-financed film to date.

According to Han Sanping, veteran producer and the CEO of China Film Group, one of the chief investors in the film, The Battle of Red Cliff currently has too much material to include in a single feature. It will therefore be divided into two episodes, with the first to be released before the 2008 Summer Olympics, and the second only at the end of 2008. Producer Terence Chang confirmed this, saying that the Chinese government views the film as a showcase of Chinese history and wants it released before the Olympic Games.
